I'd love to know how you honour the Sabbath and keep it holy if you do observe it, if you have certain family/community practices or traditions, what denomination you're a part of and how that affects/forms your Sabbath-keeping, how and when you started observing the Sabbath, and what hopes/goals/thoughts you might have, if you don't observe and want to/don't observe regularly/don't observe in a way that is restful!

#saturdays for me sundays for the rest of my family! (i am the only anglican in a house of non denom Baptist-adjacent evangelicals)#the baseline is no work (work work or schoolwork) on saturdays for me! and i've been trying to figure out what is truly restful #instead of what is enjoyable but secretly productive which i can shoehorn in as a 'restful' activity #i spend time with my family on most saturdays! and don't have any particular church community practices yet #(since i'm now at a new church)#i'm an anglican and started intentionally observing sabbath in high school because i had a chat with one of the teachers #who was listening to my friend complain about not having the time to observe the sabbath and who said very placidly:#we make time for the things that are most important to us. and i was like miss you're so right i didn't think of it that way!#for the future i'd like to not be so focused on Doing Things xD i think i do a lot of Productive Things on saturdays #which i relabel as 'not work' because they're not technically schoolwork. but i've found that the days where i've #completely put away social media and screens and taken the time to enjoy creation and read my Bible and spend time with people #and take the time to just be still have been the most deeply restful and growing times #anyway i'd LOVE to hear your thoughts and stories!!#songbird again #faith&history&etc

Get to know me: I’ve been on tumblr since middle school🫠 Never really used it tho, I didn’t understand it until know 😂 glad I got the hang of it. I plan to write Webtoon reviews later on so I could get better at writing’. Cuz it’s super fun to find people that have the same interests as you.

A little bit about myself: My favorite anime of all time is Bleach. I read a lot of webtoons, manga, manhwa, and also art history. I want to learn 6 languages and also become a vtuber in the future. I play a lot of gacha mobile games 😫 (my poor wallet) also play a lot on the Nintendo Switch games. Currently I’ve been slacking on watching anime but got back to it by watching Haikyuu 🏐 forgot how fun it was makes me want to play volleyball. I don’t really like *human shows* like real actors playing characters 😂 idk if it’s because I watched so many when, I was growing up that now, I get bored of them super quickly. I wish, I can write fanfics about the characters I like but I got dyslexic 😫 it’s a bitch to write for me cuz of it.

Somehow managed to forget that the average Christian sabbath is on Sunday. Like, what's up with that? Sounds so fake. Saturday's what I grew up with. I'm not even Christian, haven't been for a long time, but when I think "sabbath" the day I think is definitely NOT on Sunday

#speculation nation #ykno how they call it 'sunday school'? for us it was just 'sabbath school'#bc there was no sunday in the equation. sunday was never a 'holy day' to me. sounds So fake.
