i know i already said this but damn it’s become so obvious that people really just want the bridgerton books adapted as a movie series so that they can stay very true to the books. and it’s like omfg i like the books but they don’t adapt well to the screen without loads of changes bc they hang on the characters’ thoughts a lot. turning them into an ensemble tv show was a bold choice and it’s been handled beautifully, many of y’all just don’t like ensemble shows. you can skip to just the main romance scenes if you want but don’t complain when you hit next season that you don’t know the characters or whatever. you don’t have to like benedict’s storyline in s3 but that doesn’t mean it’s bad writing or doesn’t belong. aside from being great rep it also sets him up very nicely for his season. francesca and john getting together this season works so well bc francesca & colin’s stories are the ones that are the closest to violet’s. and that’s also why violet and marcus works well for this season. like yeah, there’s a lot going on, but there’s a good balance.

#kanthony was a bit shafted but what’s new?#it would’ve been easy for them to go to india between the seasons rather than after ep 7 like #we better see them and the damn baby in s4 #bridgerton
