I think and I may be wrong that Monsieur Rossignol is actually one of those Rossignols: Rossignols - Wikipedia Because they were keepers of french royal ciphers used for important news, letters and archives. So, Aziraphale is actually saying that his french is so bad because he was only taught in ciphers? Or something between the lines.
Maybe @neil-gaiman can confirm that, if someone asks him...?
But yeah, it means nightingale and I am sure that, either way, it was chosen intentionally.
Tumblr media
Sitting here watching s2xe5 and it’s the scene where Crowley is asking Aziraphale why his French is so bad and he says “I went to Monsieur Rossignol’s night classes in 1760”.
I decided to Google if this was a real person since the name wasn’t familiar to me, and instead I had my giant gay heart stomped on by Neil Gaiman once again.
The French word for nightingale: Rossignol
It’s the language of romance and Aziraphale took night classes with a Mr. Nightingale. I CAN’T BREATHE.

Archie was going to talk to Jug about what Betty was going through (I’m pretty sure) but now he’s told Jug that she doesn’t want to be with him because he realized that Jug was joining the serpents

Loose translation of that scene between Kagami and Adrien where they're talking about Marinette...
Adrien: Marinette is sometimes clumsy but she is honest and kind. cheating is not her type. She's never fenced before today.
Kagami: You like her, don't you?
Adrien: Marinette? Yeah, sure... Eh, she's a good friend and when you get to know her, you'll appreciate her too.

I really don’t understand why everyone is sweating over Sam and Rebecca.
The relationship is still brand new, but it isn’t even on that great of a start. Rebecca has ignored a lot of Sam’s texts since S2xE5. Most of the time she leaves him on read, because she isn’t entirely invested. Notice how she was more willing to response to him too after she didn’t hear back from Ted.
Now, she finally meets up with him, and sure, there is genuine attraction lingering, but she is very conflicted, and knows it’s not a bad move. Sam on the other hand is just an all-around happy guy, and he’s already adoring of her, but he’s by far more invested in Rebecca than she is. We’ve already known this.
If anything all this pinpoints is that Rebecca is making bad decisions, based out of a traumatic response. This all calls back to S1. For e.g: being made unwanted because of Rupert and the press demeaning her, just for her age.
It’s no coincidence that Ted and Rebecca are the only two people who brushed and dismissed therapy. They’ve both been burnt, and they have walls. We’ve already seen Ted crack, and get triggered through Jamie & Henry.
Now we’re seeing it with Rebecca.
I really don’t see this relationship lasting long, at all. I also don’t think it will end well for Rebecca, because it just seems a setup of something stressful to come.

Kory and Rachel: Dualism
Kory healing Conner by engulfing him in her starfire while Rachel’s darkness kept Kory’s power--a light as bright as the literal sun--contained was the best comic book power combo usage I’ve ever seen in a live-action movie/show.
Just dazzling all around.
Conceptually it worked on every level.
So far there have been four references to the idea that Rachel and Kory's respective powers were a Dualistic Pair.
The first was when the two met last season.
Rachel: How did you do that back there? Kory: Do what? Rachel: That man...you burned him? Kory: I don’t know. There’s something inside of me... Rachel: A power. Kory: I don’t really understand it. It’s- Rachel: Me too. It’s- (simultaneously) Kory: A light. Rachel: A darkness.
Titans S1xE3 [x]
This is one of my favorite conversations in the entire show and the foundation for the deeply empathetic bond between Kory and Rachel.
The second was the training scene in S1xE5 when Rachel’s power starts to get out of control so Kory uses her starfire to push it back and protect Dick and Gar.
The third was during the heart to heart between them in “Deathstroke.”
Rachel: When my father ripped out my heart...I changed. I turn into something different, something I can’t control. And I know it sounds crazy, and it- Kory: No, it doesn’t. On my planet when have a name for it. It’s called ‘transfiguration.’ All babies wear Sawar bracelets in order to suppress the ability to make starfire until they reach maturity and can control their powers. Normally this works but not for me. Rachel: Why? Kory: I don’t know. My powers just wouldn’t stay caged. People like us are destined to be special, Rachel. Maybe that’s why this is happening to you. The more you try to suppress your powers, the harder they’ll resist. Rachel: The prophecy you found said that I was supposed to “destroy worlds.” Kory: Or save worlds. We’re not born good or bad. The choices you make define your destiny. Trigon chose darkness. I have to choose what my future holds. You will too. Rachel: So that’s it...I just decide to be good? Kory: It’s a little more complicated at times, but yes.
Titans S2xE5 [x]
This latest and fourth reference where Kory heals Conner while Rachel keeps the world safe from Kory’s blaze is a culmination of their Cosmic Dualism.
Notice also the conversation the pair has about the moral dualistic opposites of good and evil. Both characters internally struggle with their dueling natures: whether to heal or destroy.
Kory spent most of season 1 trying to learn who she was and once she did know, she had to fight between her mission to kill Rachel and her innate desire to love and protect her. As a cambion--half-human, half-demon--Rachel’s very nature is pulling her in two directions: become a force of destruction in the universe or protect the universe from her father’s and her own darkness.
Another story might have decided to take this juxtaposition and have Kory and Rachel be antagonistic or competitive with each other. Instead they decided to make their bond complementary instead. They make each other better just by being in each others’ lives. Emotionally and spiritually things start to unravel for them both when they aren’t together.
Then they take the lessons they have learned about themselves and each other and in this episode team up to use their powers to save Conner’s life. Their powers that are typically used for destruction, aggression, and offense.
Instead they get to use their powers to heal someone and to protect someone. In effect, choosing to be good, as Kory suggested.
The image of Rachel’s dark shadow swirling around and through Kory’s fire was awe-inspiring.
It’s also worth it to point out that the person they healed is also struggling with his own internal dualistic nature. The child of two people blended together in a test tube. Lex representing the darkness and Clark representing the light. It is fitting that he would be the first person that Kory and Rachel heal with their dual powers.
