Here is the pretzel tree. Αυτό με το μισητό tribe swap στο πρώτο τέταρτο της σεζόν

Αν είναι ένα πράγμα που μισώ σε αυτό το παιχνίδι (μετά φυσικά από το Redemption Island) είναι τα tribe swaps. Μιλάμε για το premature ejaculation των "drop your buffs".

Μα σκεφτείτε το, παει εναντια στο τι μ'αρεσει στο παιχνιδι, κόντρα στο προσωπικό παιχνιδι των καλών παικτών, κόντρα στο υπέροχο character arc όσων παλεύουν στο κάθε tribe ενάντια στα νούμερα των ισχυρότερων συμμαχιών, κόντρα στη δυναμική μέσα σε κάθε φυλή... και όλα αυτά εισάγοντας έναν άδικο τελείως παράγοντα «τὐχη». Και καταλαβαίνω την ανάγκη τους, από πλευράς οργάνωσης του παιχνιδιού: όταν η μία από τις δύο ομάδες είναι ΤΟΣΟ σκράπες που φτάνουν στα 4 με 5 μέλη από την αρχή του παιχνιδιού, απλά δεν έχεις έτοιμα immunity challenges για τόσους λίγους παίκτες.

Το μοίρασμα εδώ γίνεται ευτυχώς με κάπως ενδιαφέρον τρόπο. Όπως έχουμε δει τόσες και τόσες σεζόν, οι παίκτες του Σερβάηβορ λατρεύουν να χωρίζονται με βάση κοινωνικά και πολιτικά και φυλετικά στερεότυπα, ακόμα πιο πολύ κι από όσο αγαπούν το ρύζι. Στις σεζόν Blood vs Water, ο ντε φάκτο αυτόματος χωρισμός σε alliances, μετά το βαρετό αρχικό αγόρια-κορίτσια, είναι: αυτοί που έχουν ακόμα loved one στο παιχνίδι εναντίον όσων έχουν μείνει σόλο μετά από αποχώρηση. Και ανάλογα με το faction, ακούς και άλλες δικαιολογίες υπέρ-κατά. Άλλες με βάση το πως μπορείς να τους εμπιστευτείς μετά το merge και άλλες με βάση το πόσο προτιμούν το double date από το singles table.

Εδώ έχουμε λοιπόν μια νέα φυλή με τρία ζευγάρια και ένα μπακούρι, και μια δεύτερη φυλή με πέντε μπακούρια και ένα ζευγάρι. Fun times. 

Όσο κι αν πάντα είναι ενδιαφέρον να δεις πως οι καλοί παίκτες επιζούν ακόμα και απέναντι σε curveballs, όταν είσαι ένας μονός παίκτης σε συμμαχία με τρία ζευγάρια, τι μπορείς να κάνεις; Ειδικά όταν είσαι ο Hick Sr, απολύτως τίποτα. Απλά κάθεσαι και περιμένεις να κάνουν όλοι τις συμμαχίες τους. Και να που, δουλεύει σε προτέρημα σου, αφού τα ζευγάρια (σε φοβερή πρώτη για τη συγκεκριμένη σεζόν) κοιτούν πέρα από το άμεσο tribal στο τι θα γίνει στη συνέχεια με τρεις άρρηκτες δυάδες παικτών, και αποφασίζουν να κάνουν τη σφαγή ένα επεισόδιο αρχύτερα. Έτσι τα δύο ζεύγη γονιού-κόρης μάχονται για την αγάπη του παντρεμένου ζευγαριού. Και τελικά, κερδίζει... ο πιο γλύφτης:

Η Baylor είναι τρελή shipper των #Jonlyn - το οποίο είναι καλό γιατί οδηγεί στο πιο λατρεμένα dirty exchange ever σε tribal:

Η βόμβα του επεισοδίου: το gay ζευγάρι μιλούν για το πόσο ερωτευμένοι είναι, και πως έχουν αποφασίσει να μείνουν... ABSTINENT μέχρι τον γάμο;!;

Πρώτον, τι σκατά gay είστε εσείς, και μάλιστα πετυχημένοι, του Broadway, κτλ... Θα σοκαριζόμουν ακόμα και αν έλεγαν πως είχαν αποφασίσει να παραμείνουν μονογαμικοί μέχρι τον γάμο...

Δεύτερον, αυτή ήταν η μοναδική ευκαιρία να δεί χαρά από gay sex ένα νησί του Survivor (μετά τον αείμνηστο και αδικοχαμένο λατρεμένο μας Caleb που έφτασε στο νησί με τον Colton of all people). Κάντε το για τον Caleb. Ή απλά, κάντε το, dudes. Τι είστε, Χριστιανοί ορ σάμθινγκ;

Δεν είχαμ�� ευκαιρία να τη χαρούμε στα περασμένα επεισόδια, αλλά η Μαμά της Baylor είναι ΤΟΣΟ ΜΑΜΑ. Έλα κόρη, πάρε ρύζι, δενΩθα πεινάσει η κόρη μου όσο έχουμε ρύζι. Και ναααα τα scoops να φεύγουν. Εντωμεταξύ, στο άλλο tribe, τα αποτελέσματα της μαμίασης φαίνονται, με ολόκληρη φυλή να πάει να τα βγάλει πέρα με το ενάμιση σκουπ που έχει μείνει αφάγωτο για τις υπόλοιπες μέρες του παιχνιδιού. Δηλάδή, πως να είσαι τόσο ηλίθια;

Όσο ρησπέκτ είχα για τη Baylor πριν, εδώ είναι απλά τσαπατσούλικο το παιχνίδι της και ξεϋφαίνεται με τη μια στο tribal. Απ'τη μια η μαμά να λέει «ααα είμαι mama bear, μόλις μου είπε η κόρη μου πως την ψήφισε ο κακός παππούς, θα τον φάω που πειράζει την κόρη μου, γκρρρ»

«Μα, mama-bear, η κόρη σου πήγε πρώτη εναντίον του, χωρίς λόγο και μετά πρόδωσε και τη συμμαχία της!»

...παυση παυση παυση «ναι αλλα αυτός ψηφισε την κόρη μου γκρρρρ»

Στο τέλος, η Rice Queen Mama Bear κερδίζει... Γιατί όμως; Νιώθω πως το μοντάζ μας άφησε κενά. Γιατί η συμμαχία της Mama Bear ένιωθε τόσο σίγουρη να μοιράσει ψήφους 3-2 ενώ υπάρχει το wild card του Hick Sr ο οποίος αν είχε ψηφίσει Baylor βγαίναμε σε ισοψηφία;

 Επίσης, μετά από αυτό το tribal, γιατί να επιλέξουν οι Honeymooners τη Mama-Bear αντί για τον πολύ σταθερότερο Dale & Daughter; Τους τούμπαραν με την υπόσχεση δεύτερου πιάτου ρυζιού;
