when: after the storm, corridors - early morning.

in the middle of a grand corridor, the persian sultan and his most trusted stand together in briefing. since the reveal of his suspicion against his brother and arshiya's betrayal of his husband's trust, he had ensured that his chambers and person be guarded at all times. it was an annoyance to him, he wished for solitude, however, he had found something akin to fire again in the depths of his soul; if his brother or his sister-in-law thought him weak, he would show them his power. "we are to keep eyes on emine at all times, if my brother can so recklessly murder a king, he will have no problem with them. cailean as well will remain under our silent protection, arshiya makes one wrong move and i give order to arrest her - are we clear?" as orders fall and people disperse, finally he's left alone; he would handle ariyan himself. however, when the sultan steps from his position, a sudden dizziness catches him off-guard and a sharp pain radiating from his chest to his shoulder makes him accidentally collide with an unsuspecting soul. "i apologize for my recklessness. i should know better than to walk with my eyes to the ground..." he lies, swallowing in hopes the dryness of his mouth would subside. "i have not harmed you, have i?"

Other 3D mandala makers hate me despise me for sharing this, but I see my craft as more than just the finished product. The process, and attention to detail are just as important in order to appreciate the beauty of this piece and all of its parts.

That being said, my s/i for mystery man is more of an antagonist than a protagonist. I usually don't join the baddies when shipping with an antagonistic character, but in this case I feel like she's so much of a "problem" character that she crosses that line. Her intentions are good, but she's ultimately too apathetic and therefore selfish for any of that to matter. She has the ability to stop the entire "evil" plot from happening, but she won't because what would be fun about that?

Though she does internalize that motivation much differently by placing the blame on the choices of others, and that they wouldn't want her to interfere anyway. And like why clean up other peoples' mess? Which directly goes against the whole point of her tragic backstory btw. The idea was she was supposed to help and protect people with her abilities, but then bad things happened to her and now she's completely jaded, and not a particularly nice person as a result.

And no, her man doesn't "fix" her at all.

We know both Kuma and Iva-chan would become members of the Revolutionary Army 16 years after the two meet at God's Valley

And like. I can't help but to wonder if Kuma's flashback is going to tie to the backstory of the Revolutionary Army and how he joined the cause, especially since we are going to learn about Iva-chan's backstory at the same time backstory (and Bonney's??? Mom??? I'm assuming???)

And while I don't think we're going to learn much about Dragon through this backstory because. IDK I feel like Oda would save that for later, right now doesn't feel like The Time To Reveal Dragon's Backstory. Not to mention, if this backstory is meant to be About Kuma first and foremost, then adding Dragon into this mix would just distract from Kuma and Bonney's relationship, the current heart of the story (also is why I want to believe Ginny is Bonney's mom, since that would also tie to the heart of the story)

But I can't help but to wonder... if Crocodile was a member of the Revolutionary Army for a while, then might we see him even just briefly at some point during this flashback? Maybe? Perhaps? Even for just a panel or two? Please? Pretty please? 👉👈

Seriously, I feel extremely silly for letting this drag on forever. Hand to God, the reveal was supposed to originally happen after the holidays. But that was a trip I needed a while to recover from, so the curtain stayed closed. Until now!

I love this man with all my heart and soul. No other character has even come close to uprooting him in my mind. Having the extra time was actually somewhat of a benefit in that regard! Experiencing the massive wave that is Hazbin Hotel, filled to the brim with attractive characters, was a true test during that time. The most I got out of that, however, was nothing but crushes. Morce still reigns supreme! 🥇🏆 🥰

So much so, in fact, that March 31st is going to be the day that he and my Psychonauts S/I officially become a couple! I’m beyond excited and relieved to share this with everyone at last. And I can’t wait to show you more about this ship! 💖

"balfour, write my mother on my behalf, tell her that...i apologize for what i intend to do if proof comes to light." he whispers to his left. "finnian, set me a private meeting with the princess and then find my sisters. ensure that if this blows back on them, that you get them to safety." he instructs his right, pushing forward into the crowd. like a snake, he sheds his armour in the middle of the crowd like skin, hiding it out of sight, untucking his shirt from uniform pants, shaking hair free of its neat position with fingers so that natural curls start to foil in the absence of structure; he couldn't be commander hasan where they would go, not if he wished to keep his promise of keeping their heart safe in his hands. slipping a hand into cailean's, with one finger over his lips as a suggestion not to ask questions until they were out of ear shot, he motions silently for them to follow his lead.

For all alarm bells going off in his mind, he was just as much curious, no matter how he schooled his face into concern.

He kept up appearances, moving casually but not too casually to gesture at a table. They were alone save for Henry in the back, no worries about privacy. He took one of the seats at the table. "You're trying to imply that that was your doing? Or should I worry that this place is haunted?" And here he cast her something that mimicked a nervous smile, as if he was just joking, just trying to lighten the mood. Then his performance only continued, hiding any and all eagerness for an answer. He fidgeted a little in his seat, concern held deeply in his gaze.
