I was thinking about cannibalism and romance and I have decided that in case of Zero and Liang, it would be more romantic for her to not even try to eat him.

For humans cannibalism is uncommon and can be a manifestation of possessiveness, wanting more and wanting to become one with their partner. Thus it is romantic.

Zero, however, is naturally wired to eat humans and therefore naturally sees them as food first and foremost. She have already eaten dozens of people, eating Liang wouldn’t make him special. The fact that she refuses to eat him is special which means that she values him as a person more than she sees him as food. Additionally, as long as she’s not starving, she remains rational. She likes Liang, therefore it’s in her best interest to keep him alive and well, so that she can observe him more and learn more about him.

…and now I’m imagining Zero voicing all these musings out loud, while Liang just looks at her like: “What the actual fuck-”

I wonder, would it be correct to call Zero asexual? She doesn't have a sex drive or any kind of sexual urges, but she is interested in the activity and even initiates it, just for her own reasons. Does it count as sexual attraction if she wants to do sexual things to her partner while experiencing no arousal or any sexual feelings herself? How do I explain it...
