🤝 🦀 😑 ✏️ with Annie!

🤝: How did they meet in the first place? What was there first impression of each other?

As mentioned in the previous ask Nathan lives in the Concrete Jungle! So it's officially Happy Hour, the place is gonna explode (don't worry it'll magically rebuild itself because video game) and Nathan doesn't even notice since he's got on his noise cancelling headphones. She just got done with his grocery shopping and is casually walking back home when WHAM! He gets swept up by a blur of red and green. By sheer luck, Annie didn't fling him to the other end of town and instead ends up "carrying" him on her mallet to the elevator (which is like 10 feet away)

Well now they're stuck in an elevator together and with nothing else to do in such a cramped space they might as well introduce themselves to each other. It's really fucking awkward but Nathan still finds himself interested in Annie. He doesn't really get WHY she's running around blowing shit up and beating animals up yet (Annie forgot the whole "satanic aura" thing as soon as Brulo told her about it, she really is just here for fun) but would love to understand it! Later at Brulo's casino, Nathan gets a bit more context, after which she decides to stick around and watch Annie go through the levels. And when he talks to her in between levels the romantic feelings slowly start to build <3

🦀: How did they handle realizing they were in love? Embarrassed? Nervous? Mad?

Both got kind of embarrassed about it. Annie doesn't like serious things like "feeeEeEeEEelingsss-uh" and would prefer to ignore them or run away from them until they go away. Nathan meanwhile sinks into overthinking it and constructing all the reasons he'd get rejected. It takes a while before they both manage to push through those doubts and commit to the relationship. I described the confession in the previous post

😑: How easily do they get jealous and how do they handle it?

I don't do jealousy tropes lol, that's not gonna be a topic of concern <e

✏️: How canon compliant are you with them? Do you stick pretty close or just have fun cause it’s your ship so no one can tell you what to do other wise?

I generally try to be pretty canon compliant! It helps that AB has a really nice n fun canon. Wacky but not "ridiculous". Plus it's a really cool and developed world that I wanna fully be a part of. So I do my best to consider how a scenario would look or play out "in game" and use that as a guideline for how i write things. Some headcanons get through either way though cause that's just too fun <3
