Allura might not be able to send the paladins home, but as early as Olkarion, she starts to send supply runs to Earth via wormhole. The supply network grows as the Voltron Coalition does, giving the people of Earth their first real sense of hope in a long time.

The downside is that the whole universe learns that the red paladin is a carrier for the same disease that's the source of all Earth's problems. between that and the knowledge that he's half-Galra, he gets the cold shoulder from a lot of their allies.

(but Allura just makes note of the ones who DON'T, and views them as her most trusted allies)

Matt tags along when one of the supply ships return to space, because excuse you, he can't let his baby sister fight a space war alone.

Kolivan and the Blade of Marmora take some precautions in relation to Keith, since he could potentially infect the Galra as well, but it's nothing even remotely close to the stringent procedures that Admiral Sanda had in place.

Keith has totally lost the knack of getting close to people, and doesn't truly get it back until he's stuck on the back of a space whale with his mom for two years and has no choice.

Pidge, Hunk, and Lance all eventually lose their nervousness around Keith, even as he still keeps them at an arm's length. I mean, if the infection was going to spread to his brain, it would have done so by now, right?

all I'm saying is. the black paladins episode is in reverse :)

What was the point of it, again? Ryner sighed, nearly falling asleep waiting for the maid to have finished arranging the plates on the silver tray for him to pick up. Eye-contact was avoided, the action a quick one before she went back to her work and the Alpha Stigma remaining in place for another minute, staring down at Sion's dinner. Then at the tray that the maid was returning to the kitchen, with the food on it untouched. That sickly thing wasn't going to touch dinner just the same way he hasn't paid attention to his lunch.

'Would fit better in my own belly.' Ryner made a face, picking up the tray and unhappily pushing himself up on two feet. Perhaps if he just ate it and never showed up to Sion's nobody would bat an eyelash, but maybe it was just better to get this over with. He hasn't eaten in a couple days, so, Ryner decided he'd force that skeleton to gobble it up so he could just quit to bed for the night. Sion's bed of course. At least one of them had to use it.

"SiiiiiiiiiiiON!" He exclaimed, barging into the office where the documents and books sat. Oh, yeah, the king was there too.

"I'm starting to feel a bit ignored here, would you lift your eyes up from those papers? Is it the shirt I chose today?" He teased as he approached, making sure to put the tray on top of the document Sion was reviewing - completely ignoring the fresh ink that was probably now spreading beneath it.

sooo my selfship with reiner is so silly because the fic i wrote for him (blank open eyes) is just a selfship fic & i can't believe ppl let me get away with that LMAO. but the tldr version of boe aka ryner lore:

i'm a marleyan, and i work as a strategist for the warriors unit <3 i was one of the candidates, but i didn't get chosen bc i got injured >:( so reiner and i weren't super close before he went to paradis, but we have lots of fond memories together still ! and when he came back home to marley, i was working more closely with the warriors unit to plan the attack on paradis, etc and we ended up getting closer over the years, especially bc he was struggling & he thought i the was so sweet ! and i wanted to understand him and everything that happened on paradis

rylevi is a rivals to lovers situation >:) i was one of the strongest in my squad, so when levi became a captain i got moved to his. but i did nottt want to be in it bc we hadn’t gotten along from our previous interactions :/ so ofc i intentionally gave him a hard time when i was on his squad. sooo much pent up tension between the two of us ! and i eventually confronted him, asking why he was so hard on me & a very uncomfortable levi confession ensued 💗 we both saw the absolute worst sides of each other before we fell in love but we understand each other so so well <3
