Rip MFDOOM
Daniel Dumile, best known by his stage name MF Doom or simply Doom, was a British-American rapper and record producer. Noted for his intricate wordplay, signature metal mask, and "supervillain" stage persona, Dumile became a major figure of underground hip hop and alternative hip hop in the 2000s.

Water by Aesop Rock! I meant to post this yesterday just couldn't get to it. Anyway, Aes Rock is personally in my opinion the greatest of all time. No one even comes close to what Aes does in every song he releases. There are plenty of rappers who sound or could imitate Eminem's flow, lyrical ability, vocabulary or rhyme schemes. That's why all rappers "sound like Em". Now I'm not hating on Em, obviously is one of the greatest to ever do it. However, for people who enjoy complex lyrics no one even steps in Aesop's league. Now all of Aesop haters say "why listen to someone you can't understand?" Well if you ask me if you listen to hip hop for the lyrics, which a majority of people say, then having to actually break down Aesop's lyrics should be something they should want to do. You should want to find out what he's saying. If they spent half the amount of time they do breaking down Em's lyrics on Aesop maybe they'd catch some of the unique complexity of Aes's words. Aesop had been in the game since the mid 90's, he has changed much through the years, staying very grounded to his roots. He once said "truthfully, I'm grateful that anyone listens to my music. Everything I write has a specific meaning to me, I write for myself to clear my on head. So even for any of my fans to take away something from it, means a lot to me". Aesop's lyrics consist of a substantially extensive vocabulary (used more unique words than Shakespeare), double meaning lines, crazy deep metaphors, storytelling and plenty more. He's been doing this for close to 20 years now, my mind is blown every time he drops a new record or feature because he still has new things to say even in his "earthworm demeanor" which is beyond impressive to me. My favorite lyrics from this song are "I mean, I stood beneath the icicles that bleed under the awning. And magically mastered the great absorbing of spirit falling" To me this lyrics is speaking out against religion (grant it I might be wrong lyrics change meaning by the person breaking them down). I see this as basically taking a shot at baptism, since when you get baptized and the holy water is poured on your head and your cleansed of your original sin bravo use your accepting god ( the Holy Spirit) into your life. So when Aes is saying he's feeling the water drip from the icicle and absorbing the spirt falling. I'm getting that Aes is saying he creates his own fate. He doesn't need to accept god to be cleansed in his mind.
