Dandy is quite a bit shorter than Astro but sometimes it's nice to feel small while you're in the presence of someone you know will protect you when you're always protecting everyone else

Oh, to be able to trust someone to the point where you'll feel safe enough to pass out on them and you know they'll protect you while you sleep, I love that kind of dynamic

Leosagi for Shell Chills

Yuichi Usagi is a Flemish Giant rabbit yokai so he's really big and will probably get bigger, both of them are still teens so there's room for growth!

Leo and Yuichi are partners!! They go on dates every now and then but never do more than small forehead kisses and hand holding lol.

Mikey was scared of Yuichi at first because of just how big they are and how intimidating it was to him but he warmed up to her in time.

Yuichi Usagi pronouns are he/she/they!!

Yes this iteration is mostly horror but that doesn't mean I can't put adorable stuff in it! I like cute things too :>

Ok so projecting onto my little guys so like tw for child abuse/verbal(and implied physical) abuse/transphobia/possible abilism below the cut

Oh look a Splinter is a kangaroo rat, so he's small and has a tuft of fur on his tail. This is the first time I think I've posted anything about him?

Donnie projection:

Donnie is the oldest, and so he's always told to act that way. He's the oldest, he's the leader, and he needs to set an example for his brothers.

Mikey projection:

Mikey stims a lot, may it be tapping his fingers on something, twitching slightly, or flapping his hands. Splinter doesn't like it, he thinks it's stupid and annoying.

Raph projection:

Splinter always thinks that Raph causes a majority of problems in the house and so he yells at the poor guy a lot. The yelling used to make Raph cry but Splinter conditioned him to not do that by threatening to give him a reason to cry(with physical punishment, like a belt or something).

Leo projection:

Splinter is transphobic, oh how surprising(sarcasm). Leo is trans though, going by he/she/they pronouns(he/him the most as said in another post). Leo has a female body, but because Splinter couldn't tell the genders of turtles, he just said they were all boys. Donnie tried to point it out one day when they were little but Splinter didn't listen, though Leo's fine with being referred to with he/him pronouns. Oh the fear he'll go though in the future.

Regarding my last post, I already have doodles of the mains because they're so fun to draw for me!

Dandy's a freak of nature, Astro is worried, Shelly scares me (/aff), Vee is big and strong, and Sprout can cook(no baking, he has a grill and makes the BEST ribs). And Pebble is dog

Bald Sprout is funny and Astro's face being flat makes me laugh

Something that I’ve sort of seen a few different people point out is that Leo seems to have a habit of curling into a ball when he’s feeling overwhelmed which can be in the episodes End Game & Cloak and Swaggart being used as examples

Leo also seems to curl into himself slightly in the movie when Casey Junior confronts him after they get separated from Mikey & Donnie

But something else that I have also sort of seen been pointed out is that Leo seems to also have a habit of hugging himself when he’s feeling slightly frustrated as well.

In the episodes Bug Busters when his brothers aren’t listening to him about Big Mama & in the episode The Mutant Menace when the Turtles find out that Baxter is trying to expose them to New York, Leo hugs himself slightly while crossing his arms.

The fact that Leo curls into a ball when overwhelmed & hugs himself when frustrated makes me wonder if they could possibly be related & that the more overwhelmed Leo feels the more he curls into himself.

one thing about me is that I do not play about catcher in the rye! like I'm sorry the traumatized mentally ill 16 year old is not acting in a mature enough manner for you! Surely the purpose of his thoughts and behavior is not meant to be a commentary on teenage mental illness and the way adults fail children and is instead bad writing that only manipulative and bad people enjoy and relate to.

doing this thing i call "reading every class high school lit book i missed out on" partially because as an english minor i feel like a lot of ppl in my english lectures have already read these books in higschool partially because high school english classes suck balls and i think the way they taught kids to read books was lame and dumb as hell and killed love for reading and i think some of these books they make kids read should never be experienced in a classroom setting
