It was one of those moments where the feel was different. Something that just seems complex to articulate. “The 1980’s and early 1990’s was a good time in Philly!” Said Jazz. Week 14

1. The purpose of submitting a video in a writing class is to express what we want to say, but with visuals. Visuals are very important because I believe it is easier to pay attention and to learn better if you are using visuals.

2. To express the information we composed in our message we used multiple forms such as videos, facts, and images for a more effective way to present it. like I said before, i believe that including pictures and videos in any presentation I have it will be better for me and for my audience, because i will catch their attention.

3. The structure and delivery of the film doc needs to have good transitions to achieve its advocacy, it needs to be like all connected to make sense and to transmit its purpose correctly, 

4. for question number 3, I choose the sponge bob squarepants with the rainbow because it is an actual demonstration of how i was when i saw my group’s presentation when we finish it.

Why do you think the structure and delivery of the film doc worked to achieve its advocacy? 

I believe the structure and delivery of the film doc worked to achieve its advocacy because the structure was clear in format and the delivery was simple. In the film doc it was important to inform the audience why the topic is important and needs attention through facts. The film doc gave a visual on a solution to the problem and how running experiments can push kids to get more involved in STEAM. By giving the audience a visual and sound to kids learning and working together the audience and can see for them selves how much enjoyment and curiosity the kids have. Finally by providing the link in the film doc and the links provided in the description box the audience has multiple areas to go to to receive further information and a facebook page to join a group for further notification of STEAM experiments that are going on in El Paso.

What is the purpose of submitting a video in a writing class? The purpose of submitting a video in a writing class is to teach about genres and how different genres manage to explain a message in different ways, and the how it is conveyed allows it to be interpret in different ways. In other words it tries to teach us about how to properly deliver our message to our audience in the way that is more appropriate, and deserving of the situation, because after all this is rhetoric and composition.

Many people may wonder why submit a video in a writing class but a video a very important point to writing.

not many people see how a video is very important to writing it can be mind blowing sometimes. It is important because is can show better form of genres and it can make the logos, pathos and ethos.

Week 14

Why a video? Even if it is a writing class, visuals are very important. We tend to remember better if we see visuals, if we have a way to associate something in a writing form to a visual is going to be easier to understand what we just saw. 

We use a video, images and facts in order to present our information in a more effective way. We are doing elderly abuse and if the audience sees pictures/videos of elderly people being abuse it is going to stick better and people is going to be aware of what is going on. For instance, we are going to create an impact so people can do something about elderly abuse.

I believe that the structure works because the best way to approached our audience is through pathos. The video has a lot of pathos but also logos and ethos to support our argument. We provide specific ways of helping which is another effective way of presenting our advocacy.  

 For my last question I added that GIF because I think that the answer is complete and deserves some kind of reward (a hug). For instance, Adam giving me a mental hug like saying: Good job, girl.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING A VIDEO IN A WRITING CLASS?

The purpose is to show that rhetoric appeals are not just shown through an article or a paper, it can be used to format a video as well. 

All throughout the semester, we have been pushed to use more than words to show and explain different questions. This is because different genres might have a stronger impact on the audience than just words.

Because the video is media have images, videos and illustrate the purpose and the message to the media. Plus it's informative. 4. For the video it was really difficult because of the images and opinions that we were finding on internet, but it the end it worked fine.

Week 13 Post

Post an example of the genre you plan to use for your own op-ed.  My op-ed will be on the internet censorship. The solution of the problem would actually come from the government. Since internet censorship cannot be completely exterminated for children, government needs to sort out which information should be cesored or not very carefully.

 I will do an essay, because it can contain more information and details about the problem. More credible information I have in the essay, it will help me to persuade people to oppose internet censorship and propose some solutions.

Opinion Piece Plataform

For my opinion piece as with most of my other previous works I will do a written op-ed, since I feel I can more calmly express myself, and be logical, and empirical about my statements. 

As for the topic I will be focusing on is, how different businesses try to stay in business, by using social networks. Because after all they are not to many problems relating to social networking and business that have not yet been resolved.

But after all if by any chance social networking might not turn out to work as a topic I might need to change my topic, but I doubt that will happen.

The policy change would be to send sex offenders to rehabilitation or to go to therapy instead of death row or a very hard probation.

Opinion Piece Platform

1. The topic of my opinion piece is Physical Education.

2. Policy Change- to make it mandatory for every middle school to have Physical Education

3. I feel that writing an essay would be the best possible way to convey my policy change because it allows me to insert facts about the diminished Physical Education programs in middle schools and show what great results happen when schools have P.E. programs. It will allow me to put as much detail as I can to help my cause.
