The only transmission option is an eight-speed automatic with closely spaced gear ratios backed up by an electronically controlled limited-slip differential. An auto-opening sport exhaust keeps things loud, and adjustable dampers keep the tires pressed into the pavement. Carbon-ceramic brakes are optional (we went for them), and regardless of material, the brakes are electronically actuated, not mechanically. It could use a head-up display for that reason, because if you’re shifting gears yourself, above 5,000 rpm the engine note doesn’t change. Power is deceptive, grip is AWD-like, joy is high. Probably electronics that vary how the car behaves. It changes its balance. Sometimes it’s really super neutral; it turns supernaturally. I’m thinking that’s the diff because it’s a sensation I don’t normally feel. The car is not turning just from the front. It’s yawing right around the center. I didn’t like the inconsistency because I never knew what I was going to get. I seemed like the harder I drove it, the less of that yaw effect I had, and it just turned into a pretty strong midcorner understeer. And it put down power very well—it has a lot of power. It is hard-working little motor. “It felt like it had a ton of grip. It just varied. Same with the braking. Sometimes it stopped really, really well, sometimes not as much. A couple times I felt more braking come in right near the end with no change in pedal pressure. In fact, it was late enough in both the corners that I was probably releasing pedal pressure. And it came in harder. Which is, I think, something the Alfa does. You get beyond a point on the pressure, and you don’t get any more brake, you probably get more ABS. “I like the car, it’s very sporting. And it sounded good, ran through the gears, and the transmission shifted terrifically. It likes to be driven aggressively. To be Kyana and realize that your body is not all your own. Or is that even true? Are you the combination between the immortal soul of Suvi and the human? Is it human? Can you even call any part of yourself human? Soul that you came with? How much are your decisions your own? How much are your emotions your own? Why did you have to be different from everyone you’ve ever met?
To be Suvi and have to watch the newest person you reside within be raised by your eternal enemy. Not even that. Their pets. You watch as she is put through what no child should ever have to go through. You can do nothing but watch and try to give her the feeling of thisisbad-needtogetout-runrunrunescape. She knows not of your existence. She knows not of her kind. You spend 19 years watching. Waiting. Hoping. Escape. Please. She blames herself, always, over everything, despite the fact she had no control. You cannot blame her for blaming herself, you’d be a hypocrite if you did.

Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport: 7th Place – 2017 Motor Trend Best Driver’s Car
Chevrolet calls its current midrange Corvette the Grand Sport officially for heritage reasons, but it’s also probably because “Goldilocks Special” doesn’t sound nearly as cool. Nevertheless, it would be an apt descriptor. This Corvette Grand Sport weds the monster Z06’s handling capabilities with the Stingray Z51’s usable power to create a single formidable package. That power comes from a 6.2-liter V-8 engine with a dry-sump oiling system, and there’s 460 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque to be had. We specced the Corvette with the seven-speed manual transmission, but the electronically controlled limited-slip differential with cooler came standard. We also ordered the Z07 package, which netted us Chevy’s highest-performance suspension, magnetic shocks, carbon-ceramic brakes, and Cup tires. The performance exhaust comes standard. With only 3,464 pounds of car to move, the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport does a standing quarter mile in just 12.2 seconds at 116.1 mph. On the way there, it blows past 60 mph in only 3.9 seconds. Stopping from 60 mph with those massive brakes takes a sternum-snapping 90 feet, and those sticky tires will also pull 1.18 average g on the skidpad. With stop and stick like that, a figure-eight lap takes only 22.3 seconds at 0.96 average g. We Say “The softness (rubber bushings and engine mounts versus steel on steel) takes the chatter out of less-than-perfect roads and allows the driver to focus. I figured out the Corvette pretty quickly and found it fast and fun but not perfect. Gearing is bit off for our 198 hill climb. Third gear is too short, but fourth is too long for many of the corners. I found myself cursing for having to upshift and then downshift again immediately after or for holding a gear too long because I knew I’d have to slow for the coming set of corners. Steering, camber, caster are all dialed in—the car corners so flat and fast—just off center; that’s what brings the smiles. There is nothing about the Corvette that urges me to go faster. The steering is very fast, and a little bit on the numb side. This is a long time Corvette personality trait. Since ’84, when you crack the wheel, it turns—big time. The front’s just better than the back, and it has been for about 33 years. “It’s a whole different car in Sport mode. It’s like a big Miata. It was just a completely different car. The hinge was gone. I almost never broke the rear loose at all. It was a big pussycat. Very easy to go fast with it, and the power never challenged the chassis at all. TOGG mühendis ve tasarımcıları tarafından ortaya konan, fikri ve sınai mülkiyet hakları yüzde 100 Türkiye’ye ait doğuştan elektrikli modüler araç platformu üzerine geliştirilmekte olanTürkiye’nin otomobili,tasarımsürecinde de bir ilke imza attı.
Tasarım süreci kapsamında Türkiye’den ve dünyadan toplamda 18 tasarım evi, TOGG’un belirlediği 6 farklı kriter ile objektif bir değerlendirmeye alındı. Murat Günak’ın da yanında yer aldığı TOGG Tasarım Ekibi yaptığı değerlendirmede en yüksek skoru alan 3 tasarım eviyle sürece devam etme kararı verdi. Türkiye’nin otomobilinin tasarımını belirlemek için ülkemizde geniş kitlelerle yapılan otomobil satın alma davranışları araştırmasındaki bulgular doğrultusunda hazırlanan ipuçları bu 3 tasarım eviyle paylaşılarak 2 boyutlu tasarım yarışması süreci başladı.
4 aşamalı olarak kurgulanan yarışma toplamda 6 ay sürdü
Bu süre zarfında 100’ün üzerinde farklı tema değerlendirildi, tüketici araştırmalarında tespit edilen beklentiler tasarım evlerine geribildirim olarak verildi. Süreç tamamlandığında her tasarım evinden gelen bir dış ve bir iç tasarım çalışması Türkiye’de geniş kitlelerle test edildi. Ortaya çıkan sonuç yine TOGGTasarım Ekibi tarafından endüstrileşmeye uygunluğu konusunda değerlendirildi. Bu aşamalardan sonra dünyanın en iyilerinden Pininfarinatasarım evi iş ortağı olarak seçildi ve 3 boyutlu tasarım aşamasına geçildi.

Tamamen yeni, doğuştan elektrikli modüler araç platformu
TOGG otomobil gamının tüm modellerine altyapı oluşturacak tamamen yeni ve doğuştan elektrikli araç platformunu 3 ana başlık ile tanımlıyoruz:
1. Özgün Otomotiv sektöründe daha önce ortaya çıkarılmış hiçbir platform ile ilişkisi olmayan, tamamıyla TOGG mühendisleri tarafından geliştirilen ve tüm fikri ve sınai mülkiyet hakları yüzde 100 TOGG’a ait olan, yüksek teknolojiye sahip doğuştan elektrikli ve bağlantılı platform.

Türkiye’nin otomobili, ileri Lityum-iyon pil teknolojisi ve aktif termal yönetim sistemlerinin sağlayacağı teknik avantajlar sayesinde 8 yıl boyunca pilgaranti güvencesine sahip olacak.
Ekonomi ve Çevre Duyarlılığı
Elektrikli ve bağlantılı otomobillerin içten yanmalı motorlu otomobillere göre daha yalın sistemlere sahip olması,internet üzerindenyazılım güncelleme imkânıve kullanıcıları teknik konulardaönleyici bilgiler ile uyarma olanakları teknik servis/bakım ihtiyacını en aza indirecek.

Yıkıcı teknoloji ile farklı bir deneyim
Türkiye’nin otomobili, sadece elektrikli, bağlantılı ve akıllı olmasıyla değil, sahip olacağı yenilikçi ve yıkıcı teknolojiler ile de kullanıcılarının otomobil deneyimini farklı bir boyuta taşımayı hedefliyor.
Bu doğrultuda TOGG, dünyada ilk kez Türkiye’nin otomobilinde kullanılmaya başlanacak olan “Holografik Asistan” teknolojisi için hazırlıklarını sürdürüyor. Bu yenilikçi asistan,sıradan bir sanal gösterge panelinin çok ötesinde bir kullanıcı deneyimi yaşatmak amacı ile ileri göz takip algoritmaları ve holografik üç boyutlu görüntüleme teknolojilerinden faydalanacak. “Holografik Asistan” teknolojisigünümüzde otomobil içerisinde kullanılmakta olan 2 boyutlu ekran teknolojilerinin yerine ilk kez üç boyutlu görüntüleme ve artırılmış gerçekliği getirerek araç içi deneyimini bir sonraki boyuta taşıyacak.
Bu teknoloji sayesinde sürücü gözünü yoldan ayırmadan aracın gösterge ekranında verilen bilgileri görmekle kalmayacak, aynı zamanda yol ve çevre hakkında ihtiyacı olabilecek diğer tüm bilgilere ulaşabilecek.Arttırılmış gerçeklik ve 3 boyut ile zenginleştirilmiş görüntü sayesinde yol tarifi ve diğer sürücü destek sistemlerini daha kolay bir şekilde kullanarak güvenli, konforlu ve interaktif bir sürüş imkanı bulacak.
TOGG bu yıkıcı teknolojinin otomotiv sektöründeki ilk uygulayıcısı olarak kullanıcılarına bu benzersiz sürüş deneyimini sunan ilk mobilite şirketi olmayı hedefliyor.
