There's something kinda funny about how RWBY just absolutely refuses to die despite a constant stream of adversity. The first season was objectively hot garbage but it still got a second season. The creator of the series whose passion project the whole thing was passed away in a freak accident after the second season but they just kept going without him and somehow a significant portion of the fanbase went along for it. The budget got slashed in Season 5 because of gross mismanagement but no worries! The fans stuck with it and they got it back for Season 6. Then a few seasons later the entire company that's been producing it went completely tits up and we all assumed THAT would be the end but nope!!! They got bought by Viz. RWBY has now outlived both the man who dreamt it up and the company that produced it. In an era where numerous streaming shows get axed after one or two seasons despite being critical successes with large fanbases it is completely baffling that a show that is so consistently troubled and infamously has an extremely mixed reception cannot be fucking ended despite all indications to the contrary. Weiss, standing in front of a cabin: "To think he lived in a cabin in the woods."

Ruby: "Feels like I'm visiting my dad."

Blake: "How is your father holding up, anyways?"

Ruby, shrugging: "He recently became the headmaster of Signal, so, pretty good."

Yang: "Alright, let's cut the convo and go visit our favorite knight."

The four of them made their way towards the entrance of the house, with Yang knocking on the door.

Yang: "Yo, VB! We're here!"

Stepping out was a woman about their age and height.

Blake: "Uh, hi. We're looking for-"

Woman: "Oh my God, it's so good to see you four again!" *Grabs Yang with a bear hug*

Weiss: "Uh, you must've mistaken us for some other people."

Woman: "No, I remember you guys. You were at my wedding, see?" *Pulls out scroll to show a photo of the five of them in dresses, with the lady in question clearly in a wedding dress* "You all were at Jaune and I's wedding."

RWBY, now realizing that they don't remember Jaune's wife for shit despite having been at her wedding: '...Shit.'

It's been such a cool experience to draw b&w like some manga. I kinda liked it actually, it's a lot easier than coloring everything. I remember how I used to suck at it a lot though, but I feel a lot more comfortable in b&w now

Pyrrha: *kisses her son’s hair before stepping out the door* Your father wanted to show you that being a huntsman isn’t all combat!

Pyrrha: Just because your parents happened to become embroiled in an ancient conflict as teenagers doesn’t mean every huntress or huntsman mission is a life-and-death struggle with ancient powers! 😌

Jamie: *somehow glowing with maiden powers* Uh, mom…? This is normal, right…? 😰

Whiteknight, Secretly dating Au

When team rwby and JNPR visits jaune's town, childhood home and family store,

When they're finally alone:

"Where the heck is Jaune?!" Papa Arc shouts, seeing the clerk counter unmanned.

"He went with Weiss," Bleu Arc squeaked to her father, holding her teddy bear tightly. "She unbuttoned her shirt, and Jaune left the counter."

The Arc Patriarch raised his brows for a moment, then furrows them. It was one thing for his only son to steal the family heirloom, fake his way into Beacon, his choice of friends, and his relationship with the middle Schnee of all people. But what he heard from his youngest daughter, who possibly saw them sneaking off, felt like the straw that broke the camel's back.

Nora felt a shudder going down her back, making Ren notice. "Oh, crap," the hammer-wielder said in dread.

"Gods, Nora," Ren pinched the bridge of his nose, "What did you do?"

"Not me," the orangette shook her head, "Jaune's in trouble."

"Sounds like their relationship's gonna bite 'em," Blake comments.

Jaune was full. New Beacon had continued the tradition of serving large, varied, meals for its students and as a visitor he had unlimited access to the kitchen. Access he had taken advantage of while the would-be first years were all camped out, waiting to be launched off a cliff tomorrow morning.

“Ready for bed Mr. Arc? Or will you be joining the staff for our traditional get together?”

“I’m not staff Headmistress Goodwitch, but I might be interested.” Jaune answered his old combat teacher. Despite his age and accomplishments Jaune was still intimidated by the huntress in front of him.

“And your…partner? Bodyguard?”

“Since we couldn’t convince the council of Vale to drop the charges against her, and she knows I’m safe as houses at New Beacon, she decided to wait with Team CRAZ.”

“And the previous years?” Glynda asked with a smirk.

Jaune scratched the back of his neck nervously, “ she, ah, snuck in with her semblance and stayed close to me.”

The Headmistress and Traveling Healer both paused to look around, suspiciously, before stopping to share a smile. Jaune opened his mouth to accept Glynda’s invitation when suddenly his scroll vibrated.

Glynda did not miss the smile that lit up Jaune’s face as he said to her, “thanks for the invite, Headmistress, but I think I’ll retire to my room for the night.” Glynda also didn’t miss how deftly the crippled knight walked, his usual limp practically unnoticeable, towards the VIP suite. Glynda’s pleasant smile became mischievous as she pulled out her scroll and shot a quick message:

From: Headmistress Goodwitch

‘You disabled the cameras on the VIP ward, correct?’

A thumbs up appeared as a reply.

“What the council doesn’t know CAN hurt them. But not if she can stay WITH him,” she muttered to herself before walking towards the staff party.

Jaune: "...So lemme get this straight. Professor Goodwitch was romantically interested in my mother while also having a love-hate relationship with my dad."

Ozpin: "Yep."

Jaune: "My dad was into both of them, but refused to acknowledge his feelings for Glynda, basically out of spite."

Oobleck: "Very much so."

Jaune: "And my mom was into both of them, but just...didn't fully realize that she was into Glynda."

Qrow: "Pretty much, lil' dude."

Jaune: "...This is some TV soap opera shit."

OOQ: "We know."
