This ship is another one that Canon made me DESPISE it, and by extension Nora. I'm sorry, but I was fucking seething at the way she treated him. Nora didn't give a shit that Ren was stressed out about their situation (rightfully so), instead of listening to his worries she kissed him without consent, when he got justifiably angry with the crew, she joined the rest of them white bitches and made him out to be the VILLAIN when he came in to check on her.

Hello? Nora, Ren just got through hell, being slammed through rocks, dragged across the tundra trying to save Oscar, had to save Jaune and Yang's useless asses, got shit on by Yang for being frustrated, met the devil and barely survived an explosion, and you still think he was being irrational?? And it's his fault that your relationship deteriorate??? Bitch, have some fucking self awareness.

Jesus Christ, were these two done wrong.

I wanted to see more of them to be honest, but both Elm and Vine were victims of RT's racism, so sadly we have shit for them. I wanted them to be on screen more damn it, I know these two are married!!

But overall, it's the same with any Clover ships. They're cute, but nothing more because these guys don't got shit to them.

Fuck you RT, they are fucking foils to each other and if you would let them meet, your show would've worth something FUCK YOU GIVE THEM TO ME SOBS

Adam and Weiss should have met, and they should've kicked Jacques' ass together. Weiss should have been confronted with the sin of her family's legacy, and Adam should have been able to have his pain be fuckimg recognized. WE DESERVED BETTER THAN THIS.

They were hurt by the same name, by the same man, and lost a part of themselves that they will never physically or mentally get back. These two have so much narrative foil to each other, and I will never be happy again thinking about what canon did to this potential. FUCK YOU RT.

- tf you mean two chatacters who have the biggest connection to the SDC, where if they had met, would challenge character's goal of redeeming their family's business and put it into a question and the other character would have a chance to be a better writen character rather than being an obvious hate-sink character

- It's all about the potential that never came to be

- I want to personally thank that one Frostbite AMV for opening my eyes

- Shipping Frostbite is trying to decode if you genuinely ship or are just disappointed there was zero interactions between them in the story and you're using shipping as a tool to explore what they meeting could bring to the story and how it would explore Weiss's and Adam's characters

- Red/black and blue/white color schemes my beloved <3

Holybun (Velvet x Cardin):

- Put your torches down, people. This ship will obviously need Cardin to go through character development and apologize Velvet for bullying her, for them to be at least on slightly better terms.

RWBY x I Hopes So Lion Designs!!

Was brainstorming some RWBY lion designs set in the world of the web comic I Hope So with @agender-cinder

They helped with the ideas and inspirations of the designs while I sketched them down! I took a great amount of creative liberties when designing these gals.

Along with the designs we decided to give the IHS universe names

Ruby- still stays Ruby as it is also a gemstone that can be found in the IHS universe. I wanted to give her a scruffy mane similar to the style of her hair in volumes 7-9, and then added a pattern on her back that looks like a rose when you look straight down on her.

Weiss- Her named was switched to Frostbite, since she can have a sharp tongue and sass for days. Now for her design, Cal (agender-cinder) came up with the idea to give her vitiligo, which causes animal pelts to her turn white over time. So I decided to give her a very aggressive form of vitiligo, leaving spots of her original black fur she got from her father.

I decided to leave black fur in parts that were affected by her father's abuse, her black paws since her life was never her own when she was younger, black fur over the mouth as she was never allowed to speak her mind, black fur over her head since he influenced the way she thought, and black fur on her back for the overbearing pressure put on her by her family name.

Blake- Her name was changed to Nightshade since her last name Belladonna is a flower that is also called Nightshade. Blake we decided to make a black leopard as Ghira is a panther faunus and it helped put a bit of space between her and the other girls.

The reason she isn't covered in spots like a normal leopard is because I read that cheetah's can be born with not very many spots, it is incredibly rare. But I thought I could take that and apply in to Blake and give her a fluffier neck trying to fool other lions that she is one (since in volume one she had to hide her ears) This was the design that I REALLY took a LOT of creative freedom with.

Yang- Changed her name to Ignite (after her song Ignite) she a big girl! Wanted to give her a semblence of Raven in her design, so I gave her some black in her mane mirroring real life lions whose mane grows darker as they get older.

I decided to do this since in the IHS universe I wouldn't have been able to show Yang's red eyes switch from her purple hues, plus black and yellow are bumbleby colors baby! I also gave her some scars since Yang is always a brawler in any universe so she is gonna have some marks left over.

Really goofy thought that just occurred to me.

So Blake was all "you stalked me across Anima" when Adam showed up for their duel right? And if that is true does that mean Adam followed team RWBY to the abandoned farm with the Apathy Grimm? So did they have an effect on him too? Was Adam just, off-screen flat-out on the ground in an apathetic daze while they dealt with that, and then once the Grimm are dead he snaps out of it and has to run like hell to catch up with them? XD

Like he tracks them there and he's creepin' up on the farmhouse planning his attack and then suddenly the Apathy hits and he has to sit down like "whoa. my existence is pointless" and then he's just face-down in the snow until the Grimm are dead. (Don't worry, he can beat frostbite with the heat of his rage once he snaps out of it.)

I guess the alternative is that Adam just went to the place the train was going and waited for Blake to show up but the idea of him being temporarily knocked out by the Apathy right off-screen is way more funny. :p

I interpreted it as him being on the part of the train that makes it to Argus and he lies in wait for the ambush. Which, while yes, less fun than him schlepping through the wilderness and dealing with the Apathy's influence, opens doors to questions like "what the hell was he doing with all that time."

Thank you for the ask! Here we go:

Favorite female character? Ilia Penny Pyrrha Ruby Nora(!!!!) Emerald Weiss and most of all… maria😔she’s so fucking funny i loved her energy v6. Further explanations, Ilia has an adorable design, great voice actor and decent enough representation. Nora’s timeskip design was unmatched and she’s very quotable, plus her personality reminds me of one of my close friends irl. Ruby’s struggles in V9 (until they fucked that up) really hit with me as I’d gone through something very similar, and Penny… Penny just makes me happy. What they did with her makes me angry, but Penny makes me smile. :D

Favorite male character? I got a couple but at the moment it’s tied by Sun and Roman. Sun has fun energy and Roman is himself and iconic. Others are: James is hot and so is the bad bird BF he got by being autistic. Mercury is cool for the 5 seconds of screentime he gets every volume now. Tyrian and Watts got impeccable swag and the 5 hour long make out scene between the two of them was very interesting. Adam is cathartic and fun as hell to write my little meow meow. Jaune is best when he’s just a little loser dork, and Ren is very pretty.

Favorite Volume? Surprise surprise, Volume 3. I fucking love tournament arcs. I. Love. Tournament. Arcs.

Favorite Episode? That whole Apathy Arc in V6!!! Great horror in my opinion. I wish they’d show off more creative Grimm like that again. And as a side note, V6 is just… the best looking volume.

Favorite cast member? If they count, Jeff and Casey!! SUCH good music.

Favorite ship? *cracks knuckles* Freezerburn, Catmeleon, Monochrome, Schne//ekos, Pussy Magnet Purrah, Greek fire, nuts and dolts, Bees Schnees, Khali, Spicecream, Seamonkeys, Emercury, If there’s one between Ilia and Ruby put it here, Ginger Snaps, Arctic Winter, Silver Lotus, *looks at writings on my palm* Snow pines, Ironqrow, James x Oz, Crimsun, Strawbana, Nuts and Volts, and Rosebird. To name a few. Some might not be my favorites, these are just ones I like/like in concept. :) Character I’d die defending? Sienna fucking Khan. The whole White Fang, honestly. I do think protesting through violence against your oppressors is very swag and real actually. Plus she’s hot.

A character I can’t sympathize with? Uhhhhhh…… SALEM!!!!!!!!!! Cinder too ish but Salem mostly. Like, I feel a TINY bit bad, only because the gods are undeniably awful garbage horrible terrible. She still sucks though.

A character I grew to love? …Adam. I did not give a single shit about his decently attractive redhead ass until that reveal and his death in V6. He has become my blorbo; my skrunkly. My cringefail loser, my girly pop. Engrained within my brain like a silly silly worm. He’s fun to draw. Fun to write. REALLY fun to write. I can put him in so many situations. So many bittersweet, melancholic situations. And in so many outfits.

My Anti-otp? Ive got a couple.

Bumbl//Bee. Not my thing. Could have been, had they not continually tried making “Only disabled main character losing her arm” something “romantic” as well as paralleling said character to her partner’s… um… ex abuser? Hello?

Shiro Solstice is a yokai that is great with ice magic. That’s actually related to her ability. Very easily inducing frostbite if she wanted to with a touch of her finger.

She’s rather bombastic in terms of personality, yet also easy to anger. Despite that, she is extremely good at many different things.

The one thing that’s unique about her is that she is unable to lie. She can only say the truth as if she lies, she dies right on the spot.

She always somehow comes back to life though, so it’s alright.

What Your Favorite RWBY Ship Says About You (with a dash of salt) Part 2

A sequel to this! I’m making a Part 2 simply because there are still quite a few RWBY ships out there I didn’t cover last time. Unfortunately, there won’t be a Part 3 anytime soon because I think I exhausted myself trying to find more seemingly plausible ships for this part, and even then, I think I got desperate near the end and just started including more nonsensical crack ships.

Still inspired by that one guy on YouTube who did something like this. I must again say: THIS IS NOT TO BE TAKEN ALL THAT SERIOUSLY. Some people apparently didn’t get the memo last time. I am merely having fun, but there’s also a reason why the “with a dash of salt” is in the title.

There’s a reason why I left the FNDM a long time ago, and that reason is the toxicity.

NutsAndDolts (Ruby x Penny): You either love the “friends to lovers” dynamic, or you took Ruby’s love of weaponry to the extremest extreme.

Gelato (Roman x Neo): You’re probably really attracted to Torchwick, which is fair, and your favorite character is Neo.

Ren or Nora x Anyone Else: My dear friends, you are brave souls who shall be remembered. You had the courage to stand up to a titan, and your bravery is commended. You may be dead now, but you will not be forgotten.

Emercury (Mercury x Emerald): You just want good things for both of these characters.

Wizard’s Apprentice (Ozpin x Oscar): There comes a time in all forms of media consumption where you are so utterly bewildered by what you have seen, that there are so many things wrong with it, that you don’t have words and you simply laugh. When I saw this ship for the first time, I wish I had recorded it. I burst out laughing, struggling to compose myself, and I was fundamentally blown away at what in the world I was seeing. And the kicker? I wasn’t even entirely sure of why. It’s like so many issues cascade on your brain at once, you are overwhelmed and you couldn’t possibly pass it out in the amount of time you have left before something utterly ridiculous happens on top of what you just saw. So that’s why we have posts like the one you are reading now; to have a moment to think, to collect information and lay out what it is. Because... What The Fuck...
