I know ive already made a post similar this but I, like many people, no longer feel safe in this community. Over the past year ive seen it turn into a welcoming place born from creativity and passion to a sea of hatred and hostility to a level ive never seen before. I was in the warrior cats fandom and that community was more loving than this one, and its just gotten worse.

Its hard to play a game I used to love when I watch people being harassed over stupid lore opinions, or shipping, or whether or not someone should be publicly shamed over petty drama. Its hard to browse through an artists work knowing many of the artists I love left due to horrible entitlement from they're followers. Its hard to create and post art knowing others could be praying for my downfall simply because they don't like me.

And I can't continue on in this fandom if that's the road its headed on. Its just to much of a strain me, and I know its a strain on many others. I appreciate those taking responsibility for spreading information, but the damage has already been done, and no one seems to care.

I'm still debating on whether or not I'll be leaving the Rain World fandom permanently, as its still a game I deeply love, but I'll def be taking a break from it until everything calms down and ya'll learn to be nicer. And i'll probably be taking a small few day break from tumblr as well, at least for this blog. I know ive already been distance since May, but others speaking out have inspired me to not leave silently, and I appreciate them.

TDLR: Rainworld fandom sucks. No one cares. Leaving for a lil bit till shit calms. Be kind everyscug <3

Sorry I intended to keep about 400 miles from this discourse but what do you fucking mean that people heard the guy who made fake screenshots against an artist justify it using "Oh its to show that callout culture is bad and that you people were too quick to believe them." and just went yeah that sounds right you have a good point callouts are bad but youre just showing that we support what youre doing actually Really just proves to me that at best the average person who never shuts the fuck up about "cancel culture" is either a remarkable idiot or a massive hypocrite provided you say the right cue words at them

So, my thoughts on the 0303emily situation. I dmed Emily directly (hence the "you" statements), and I think I will say this about it:

I remember being in a call with you when Azriel sent you a message about people you follow on FurAff and how, somehow, Azriel knew one of the artists was a feral artist... which is kind of weird for a 17 year old to know, but either way. I remember you SAYING you felt super uncomfortable with Azriel speaking to you about that and how you were going to distance yourself from them because of this.

I remember us talking and how you said you mainly followed them for their SFW art, but didn't like/know of their feral stuff.

I know from being your friend and from me having trouble drawing anthro stuff that you don't like feral NSFW, and I know from you and I being friends that you have never once drawn it. To hear someone say that you are a pedophile and a zoophile for your ex-friend invading your space about an artist they should never have known that made porn is absolutely asinine to me - it would be like me, who as a minor found some stuff they blatantly knew they shouldn't have, immediately made all the people who made that content pedophiles.

The evidence I've seen doesn't sound like you. It doesn't seem like you at all. And I've had a person very similar to Azriel who has made content that made it seem like I did something bad to them - and I've had a person I know have the same thing happen to them, too! I see the signs of it and I do not believe Azriel in the slightest. The sudden accusation but no immediate evidence, the warpath they took where when people didn't immediately take their side they were painted as horrible, and the fact alone that the evidence is fishy at best are *all* the same signs from people I've known who have been framed for these kinds of things.

And, not to mention... If Azriel was uncomfortable with talking to you about the FurAff thing... *Why* did they message you about that? Why did they message you about how to price nsfw stuff and you kept saying to not do it until they're 18 because you didn't and then regreted it? "Oh no uwu I'm uncomfortable with the talk I just sent to you, now you're a pedo and a zoo!"... it's asinine and only waters down the actual people who have *actually* have been groomed and abused, because that is something that happens a lot more than it ever should (which is, at all), and it spits in my face, as someone who has been exploited.

Am I someone who is prominent in the RW community? No, and I never will be. Does my opinion matter to the people who have done this to you? I sure hope it does. But I think my voice matters because I was the person who was with you when you got a spike of anxiety when you were debating with me in vc about going to bed and how after Azriel messaged you, you couldn't fall asleep anymore from anxiety. I don't think that's the feeling a groomer gets from when a potential victim gets served up to them. The fact that a lot of the adults in the fandom stand with you, outwardly or not, should be a testament to this.

I sure hope Azriel stops this, but I don't think they will, but in a lot of people's hearts of hearts, they have sullied the next, actual victim who is abused, who will be afraid to speak out because *you* weren't an actual perpetrator and people will be lots more skeptical about if the person they say is a groomer is, in fact, a groomer. And they have given ammunition to the next groomer who is an actual groomer to say, "Hey, look at the 0303emily situation, it's blantantly the same." They have played themselves, and everyone loses.

Can we talk about the Rainworld community?

I want to clarify that I hold no resentment toward most rainworld fans or creators. However, I feel it's important to address the current trend of mindlessly bandwagoning, canceling, or disenfranchising artists without proper evidence.

It's concerning how easily we overlook the need for fact-checking regarding alleged misdeeds. This fandom, in particular, seems to lack skepticism about certain claims. As a person who was abused and been the victim of false allegations, I find this really problematic. As soon as we are told that somebody has done something controversial, we ostracize the person without any thought to it. Neglecting to provide proof can be incredibly damaging, as it can hurt individuals that don't deserve it. ...and in a sense, doing so invalidates actual victims that have been groomed, abused or affected negatively. That being said, this whole pansear drama is so unbelievably muddy that even I can't figure out where to side. Most of the proof I've seen provided can be easily fabricated. As soon as one titan fell within this community, many others attempted to scavenge whatever remained, and apparently now it was said that the host for the rainworld emote collab has allegations on them too? The entire community right now is spewing allegation after allegation, and I find that really stupid. None of these "exposés" feel like they are bringing justice to anything, it all feels like petty high school gossip. I don't understand it and I don't like it. Overall, I am quite tired of seeing this pattern occur online so much. We should at least reconsider the factor of "plausible deniability" before rushing to point fingers at people we deem controversial. After all, we aren't machines that can just take threats, we are human beings.

We experience intense emotions— ones that can be overwhelming and can lead us to make awful decisions when we aren’t in a good mental state.

Stretches of truth, white lies, or outright fabrications can severely damage a person's mental health, and that's the last thing I want to see in a community I'm passionate about.

To those who lean to such extremes— please, do better. Other than that, I have nothing else to say, I don't like including myself in any form of drama, but I keep seeing this pattern happen so much that I can't really keep quiet anymore. Just, remember to be mindful about what you see online.

Bluntly? Oversaturation. I joined the fandom right around when ol’ Pansear essentially founded the scug shipping community, so I’ve seen a lot of it lol. That aside, I find the dynamic a bit shallow. Arti needs someone to help heal her grief, calm her rage, not reinforce it. It’s usually not based around characterization, just “scugs who kiss and do war crimes together”.

What would’ve made you like it more?

If the general consensus was a bit more emotionally deep, and if it was less angsty. Y’all. Arti has been through enough. Don’t make her fall in love with the dude with turbocancer please I will CRY

Anything positive to say nonetheless?

It can be very emotionally effective, as previously mentioned. Hunter long legs shenanigans, you get it. Past the slightly shallow premise, it can be cute, silly, and heartbreaking. Also there’s a rain world meme based off that one vine audio. “GET YO FUCKEN DOG BITCH!” “It don’t bite :)” “YES IT DO-” That one? Where Hunter-long-legs is the dog and Arti is the owner? Yeah. That’s comedy perfection.

Henry rolled up alongside Gordon. He had heard the commotion from the shed all the way at the station, so when he saw the Pacific taking refuge at the newly installed engine friendly coffee shop, he'd decided to join him.

“Henry.”

“Gordon.”

More expletives were shouted from the direction of the sheds.

“Dare I ask what happened?”

Gordon took a long sip from the barrel in front of him. “As you are aware, James was given a new coat of paint yesterday.”

“Of course, it's all the menace has been on about the last week.”

“Indeed. I am afraid to say my dear Henry, that it only got worse after he actually received said paint.”

“...I don't know if I should be more concerned or impressed.*

The waitress came up and Henry ordered a herbal tea.

Once she had left with Henry's order, Gordon continued.

“As you can imagine, this quickly grew tiresome.”

“Who snapped?” Henry asked dryly.

“Rebecca. She told him that he looked like a ‘bloody London phone booth.’”

Henry winced, “when was that?”

Gordon took a long sip of his coffee. “Before I left with the express.”

“...which you have already returned with.”

“Indeed.”

Henry's drink came and the two engines took a long moment enjoying their drinks.

“They won't have stopped by tonight, will they?”

“After James brought up the oil fires before their rebuilds…no.”

Henry winced, “what's our plan for tonight then?”

Gorodn raised an eyebrow, “I'm afraid I will not be available to assist with establishing the peace, as I have already agreed to visit Knapford tonight.”

“How many shed berths are left.” 

“I have no idea what you're talking about dear Henry. I merely accepted an invitation to join my sister and Cassandra in watching a movie.”

Henry stared at Gordon as the Pacific savored his coffee.

“Cassandra should arrive with her next train in fifteen minutes.” The Pacific finally said. “Which happens to stop at the platform next to this siding.”

Henry's eyes narrowed, 'What do you want to switch spots?’

“I would happily switch if you wanted dear Henry, although another coffee would…”

“Deal.”

The engines shunted so that Henry was now on the siding nearest the platform.

“What are we watching?”

“Star Trek II”

“Wasn't that a tv show?” 

Gordon shrugged, “It's based on the show. My sister watched it while hidden, and loves it. Apparently the hero ship shares her name.”

there's Some things that i don't completely agree with personally, like attributing the Third sin to Materialism rather than Connection (i'd argue that the Ancients had no big issue with being materialistic, considering their golden attires and such- and that going with Connection overall better addresses both the core of Materialism and relationships overall) and then attributing the word Dynasty specifically to asian cultures but that's more history/word definition beef more than anything djgklsjlcgjkd

Fuck it. Jumping on the "Prove the Pansear Screenshots weren't Faked" bandwagon. Seeing so many people blindly cheer and reblog that callout post legitimately almost made me delete my blog in fear. I don't blame Pan for deleting at all and don't think that's automatic proof of guilt. No one cared about any potential victims, no one cared if someone got hurt, they just bragged about how "they've always known" and that's terrifying. If the screenshots turn out to be true i'll retract my statement and apologize, but for now im just scared for the rw community and where its headed because this isn't good

I know Im not really a creator in the rw fandom anymore (mostly due to stuff like this tbh) but if just one person sees this and feels safer and seen then i'll be happy

Hello the few people who check out my tumblr. I need to say some things about Slugcat Dating Sim PLUS, the mod I was working on last month and then went silent on. Ive stopped working on it until at most l June 2025 because of complications consisting of me getting banned from the rain world discord over the art for Artificer, Saint, Spearmaster, Gourmand, Rivulet, Red Lizard, and Blue Lizard.

I was told I traced art and I got pissed off about it and redid the art out of spite. I haven’t updated the mod because my computer is currently broken. I’m posting one image of each character because of mobile image limits.

On a much lighter note I’m opening asks for the Modern Life AU cast that I’ve posted sheets for (not including Young Artificer and Gourmand) and will make a separate post about it sometime later.
