It took me 6 months to drop 25 lbs. ⠀ ⠀ Hey, it’s going to take as long as it takes. ⠀ ⠀ Don’t be so hard on yourself. My problem used to be I had zero patience.⠀ ⠀ I knew that cutting carbs would help drop water weight fast so I always went that route and lost weight and gained it all back. (i.e keto)⠀ ⠀ It wasn’t until I fell in love with the journey, the process, that I easily dropped 25lbs without cutting out my favorite junk foods.⠀ ⠀ But I yo-yo dieted for so many years that I was done with that.⠀ ⠀ The only reason I yo-yo dieted is because I deprived myself. I restricted carbs. ⠀ ⠀ Sure, you can lose 20lbs in 12 wks if you’re on it 100%. (Tracking your macros, hitting your protein intake, working out)⠀ ⠀ But for me it took me 6 months to lose 25lbs because I wanted to live my life. I didn’t let dieting consume my life.⠀ ⠀ I had beer, pizza, tequila, you name it.⠀ ⠀ I still do. I have a new goal tho. I learned about myself and how to keep track of my progress and how to adjust so this time I want to lose body fat and get super lean and I’m a little more strict but you better believe that if I can fit cookies or some shots I will lol. ⠀ ⠀ I guess my whole point is, don’t let dieting consume your life.
