It took me 6 months to drop 25 lbs. ⠀ ⠀ Hey, it’s going to take as long as it takes. ⠀ ⠀ Don’t be so hard on yourself. My problem used to be I had zero patience.⠀ ⠀ I knew that cutting carbs would help drop water weight fast so I always went that route and lost weight and gained it all back. (i.e keto)⠀ ⠀ It wasn’t until I fell in love with the journey, the process, that I easily dropped 25lbs without cutting out my favorite junk foods.⠀ ⠀ But I yo-yo dieted for so many years that I was done with that.⠀ ⠀ The only reason I yo-yo dieted is because I deprived myself. I restricted carbs. ⠀ ⠀ Sure, you can lose 20lbs in 12 wks if you’re on it 100%. (Tracking your macros, hitting your protein intake, working out)⠀ ⠀ But for me it took me 6 months to lose 25lbs because I wanted to live my life. I didn’t let dieting consume my life.⠀ ⠀ I had beer, pizza, tequila, you name it.⠀ ⠀ I still do. I have a new goal tho. I learned about myself and how to keep track of my progress and how to adjust so this time I want to lose body fat and get super lean and I’m a little more strict but you better believe that if I can fit cookies or some shots I will lol. ⠀ ⠀ I guess my whole point is, don’t let dieting consume your life. If you are ready to make a change and willing to put in the work it is possible. Grateful to have worked with this busy shift worker who spends a lot of time travelling abroad due to work. She had tried several times to lose weight and tried various diets. Nothing was working for her and she wasn't able to maintain the very little results she did get with them. Upon working with myself she managed to have something that not only progressed her to her goal of losing weight and achieving a healthier BMI, but also something that could just slot into her busy, travelling life. INVEST IN YOURSELF IN 2019 YOU'RE IMPORTANT AND WORTH IT. Here we are into another year! How many of you, used the phrase "new year, new me" at the start of last year? You were bubbling with good intentions and motivation all of which lasted till around Feb. Then after that it was an up and down yo yo pattern of dipping in and out of your health and fitness for the rest of the year, leading you right back to this day today. This frustrating and exhausting cysle doesn't have to exist. You don't have to get to this time every year being more in the same position. You have the power to change it but you have to take a different approach, accept that how you've been doing things isn't working. Don't get caught up in all the January extremeness. It's great for initial momentum but this motivation will go. Then what's your plan? You have to think of the bugger picture, think habits think actually lifestyle change. You have to stop making excuses and saying "I can't" and start making your health and fitness a priority, something you invest in. You need to understand without making this investment, the likelihood is each January you will be in same position and I don't want that for you. I want you to have success. You are important and for you to be able to give your best to your family, friends, your job and you owe it to yourself to look after that beautiful body and mind that you live in day day out. None of this health and fitness stuff needs to be perfect but it does need to be consistent. All of my online clients have made progress this year, not one of them had been perfect. At times it's been really tough but they have never given up. They have consistently got back to plan and just kept going. You can do this. I know you can!
