Dear Cry,

I haven’t been here in so long. I haven’t been in any tags or watched any youtube videos in so fucking long. Today I went to look for you. To see if you had played The Last of Us 2 because I wanted to show you and the game to my daughter. She’s one. Oh man, how my heart broke into tiny pieces. Seeing the way you spoke, the things you wrote, the threads, the long tweets, the evidence...Oh man.

I was about 20 when I started watching you (circa 2012/13) and I fell in love. Legit, I had this idea of you in my mind that was charming as hell, sexy as hell, adorable as hell, cute as hell. Problematic as hell. We should never put anyone on a pedestal, should we? But I think we should all thrive to be good. Do good. And I don’t even think you had/have that mentality. But I also don’t think you have the mental health for it and I think being a public figure should never have been your thing. That only gave you and your sickness a plataform to thrive. I remember reading the book All the Bright Places (now a movie, but the character in the book is much more raw) and thinking: this is cry. this is it. He has what this boy has. And I think I was partially right in thinking that. 

Ah man, I don’t even know what to say. This hits more because I have a daughter now and was a victim of a teacher who I confided in, trusted and looked up. This hit hard.

I want this now. Even though no one would understand and everyone would probably be creeped out.

Late Night Crew

The city was bustling, awake as ever during the noon rush. People were going every which way. Young and old, all shapes and sizes, a different body and mind. There was a young man around the age 27, named Ryan. Here in the city he was hanging out with his friends Russ, Scott and Snake ( that wasn’t his real name he just sounds like Snake from Metal Gear Solid.) They were at small Cafe trying to figure out what they should do that day. Russ as usual had a twinkle in his brown eyes behind his glasses as he gave out his ideas, “We could always go to that one abandoned amusement park. You guys know which one I’m talking ‘bout.” Ryan grinned slyly at his best friend, while both Snake and Scott looked at the like they were crazy idiots. “You are both idiots.” Scott proclaimed, while Snake put his head in hands, heaving a big sigh as well. Giving an exaggerated sigh, Ryan crossed his arms and pouted, “Well? We’ve nothing else to do and besides what else are we going to do? GO to the Mall, maybe even the  arcade. OH! I KNOW! How about Russ’s place to play Smash Bros. Again!” As he talked his voice gained volume, having random people in the cafe turn and stare at them, clearly peeved. Snake spoke to Ryan across the table in a stern hushed voice “ Calm down, we’re all adults here, so don’t draw unnecessary attention to us.” Snake ever so the parental figure to the group of friends got Ryan to give the people in the cafe an apologetic look. Most of the people in the cafe turned back to what they were doing, while Ryan flushed red from embarrassment.

Russ still really wanting to go to the abandoned amusement park voiced his opinion yet again, “ How about we go to the amusement park? If we don’t like it within 20 minutes we could leave.” Russ mostly smiling at Scott to try and convince him to join Ryan and him. Ryan looked at Scott, his blue eyes pleading him to come along. Scott held his gaze, not backing out of his own thoughts ‘til they were interrupted by Snake, “ Okay, I guess it wouldn’t hurt to go look for a few minutes at least.” Scott snapped his head toward Snake in disbelief. ‘Snake’s agreeing to their idea!?!’ Scott thought highly confused. Ryan and Russ beamed with joy that Snake had agreed with them and not Jund for once. Snake turning toward Scott gave a thin smile and shrugged his shoulders, indicating Scott to just come along. After giving it a little thought Scott finally announced to them “I’ll join, but once one thing..AND I mean ONE thing goes wrong i will leave you all there.”, “ YES SIR!” Ryan and Russ saluted Scott as they yelled to him, getting people to glance back their way in irritation. This time none of the gang seemed to care, as Ryan and Russ gae each other a high-five, while Snake and Scott got up to head toward the abandoned amusement park. Noticing that Snake and Scott were already out the cafe and walking toward Scott’s car, Ryan and Russ jumped up and hurry after them. Ryan almost forgetting his phone in the process.

The ride to the abandoned amusement park was filled with idle chatter from mostly the second car. Scott drove the first car, while Russ drove his behind Scott. Ryan kept singing Princess songs while they drove, terribly at that. Scott kept yelling at him to Shut up from the phone that Ryan used as a microphone, while in a call. Tempers being tested all the way to the deserted park and the occasional ‘Are we there yet?’ coming from Ryan.

The abandoned park was very gloomy looking with vines growing over everything in sight, many cigarette buds, broken bottles and glass laid on the ground near the boarded up entrance that had caution tape with a sign with red bold words that were worn down from the weather, says ‘DO NOT ENTER!’. Ryan ran up to the sign and tried to look around but he wasn’t very tall so he stood on his tip-toes to try and see. “Want me to lift you up short stack?” Russ said sarcastically from a few feet behind Ryan. “ NO! I’m fine.” Ryan puffed his cheeks out growing red, for a second time that day. Snake came up beside Ryan to examine the boards to see how they could get in for a look around. “ Well, it’s closed let’s go home guys.” the other turned to give a scolding look to Scott. “ What? There is no possible way to get in without tools or brute strength, and last time i looked none of us go to a gym or have a crowbar to get in.” Once Scott finished his sentence, they heard Russ yell “GET OUT THE WAY!” he barrelled through the old boards and landed with an “OOF!” Ryan busted out into his unique laughter, tears rolling down his face. Snake went over to see if Russ was okay. “ You are an idiot aren’t you?” Scott facepalmed while chuckling. During this Ryan had fallen to the ground holding his sides with tears still rolling down his face. Snake helped Russ up and helped him dust his purple jacket off. “ NOW, we can go in. You know cause it isn’t closed, Scott.” Russ smiled at Scott while pointing toward the deeper parts of amusement park. Scott sighed and stepped over Ryan who was still on the ground shaking slightly at this point. Russ looked down at Ryan “ Come on Ryan. Let’s see what’s in here buddy.” Jumping up Ryan ran to stand by Scott inside with Snake slowly following behind everyone.

“This place is kinda boring.” Russ announced when they had gotten deeper into the park. “ You’re the one who wanted to go here Mr. Glasses, so enjoy it for the next,” he looked at his phone “ Ten minutes… Ten minutes left you have ten minutes then we leave this dump and never come back.” Scott waved his phone in front of Russ’s face to show him the time.Snake and Ryan were looking at the menu from an old snack stand, when Ryan looked behind the stand to see a merry-go-round in the distance, he slowly scooted away from Snake who turned to his right to look at more signs and Ryan booked it toward the Merry-go-round. The ride was rusted and most of the paint was gone, yet some remained showing bright red and yellow dulled just a bit. Ryan looked back  to his friends as they looked at their own interest. He hopped over the gate and climbed to claim a horse on the ride. “This should be fun.” Ryan softly said to himself as he climbed atop an all white horse, with a blue and green saddle and a brown bridle. The horse creaked as he settled into the saddle of the metal horse.

Ryan noticed the others begin to look around a little frantically, possible searching for him, so he called to them “Hey! Look what I found.” His  friends turn towards his direction and Russ runs towards the merry-go-round to join Ryan. “Ryan what are you doing? Get down before you get hurt.” Snake said calmly to him. Russ had chosen a brown horse with white markings on it, greens and yellows made the colors of its bridle and saddle. “ Calm down we’ll be fine, get up here and join us.” Russ signaled for Scott and Snake to join them. Scott and Snake looked towards each other and shrugged. Scott decided to claim a gray horse with white markings as well, the bridle and saddle were composed of blues and pinks. Snake’s steed that he chose was all black with the saddle and bridle vibrant gold and purples. “Are you happy?” Scott raised an eyebrow at Ryan and Russ. “Yes!”  both answered at once. “Now what?” Snake questioned, they all looked at one another with blank faces. “I didn’t really think this far ahead.” Ryan confessed to the others. “We could go that way?” Russ was pointing towards what looked like a boat ride. They all climbed off their horses and headed toward the boat ride looking thing.

Once in front of the boat ride they all noticed the water looked odd, not really dirty looking, but something you wouldn’t want to touch. Snake noticed a small walkway that lead into the ride and pointed to it “ we could go on that if we wanted to go into the ride.” Ryan and Russ already began walking toward it, which led Scott and Snake to follow after them into the dark tunnel. “I’ve got this.” Russ exclaimed as he pulled up the flashlight app on his phone. Ryan clapped as Russ took the lead and followed obediently. Scott looked down at his phone to look at the time “ Hey your time is up. Let’s leave.” Russ turned toward Scott with a very irritated expression on his face he said “ Can’t you just enjoy something for once in your life Scott. Why do you have to try and ruin stuff for us who want to actually have fun.” Scott knitted his brows and replied “ You’re the one who thought this place was boring not even five minutes ago. And I ruin fun. To be exact, I try and stop you from hurting yourself and others around you.” Russ sneered “ I’m sure you just enjoy sucking the fun out of things anyway, besides i act crazy to make others laugh, cause it makes me happy. Yet you won’t even let me breathe the wrong way. So maybe you could back off a bit.” Russ pushed Scott a bit at the last sentence. Scott staggered back a bit “ Russ you can make others laugh without making a fool of yourself, yet you can’t even see that. You are 30 years old so you can just grow up a bit.” Scott pushed Russ back at the end of his sentence, teeth grinding as he did so. Russ handed his phone to Ryan and tackled Scott into the water going with him as well. Ryan and Snake gapped as Ryan trained the phone’s flashlight onto the rippling water. Snake went to sit on the edge of the walkway and got into the water, while Ryan stood there in silence. Russ and Scott finally surfaced a second later on the other side of the walkway, Snake began making his way toward to them. Ryan not knowing what to do he climbed into the water and waded to the other side.

Russ and Scott had already climbed onto the walkway by the time that Snake and Ryan had got to the other side. “ You are an idiot,  you know that Russ?” Scott proclaimed while wringing his clothes, “ Sure , I’m not the only one around here either.” Russ was doing the as Scott. Snake was trying to make sure they were okay, and if they could make it back to the cars and drive home. They both were fine They said, the air was very tense and it was beginning to feel stuffy in the tunnel. “ Can we go home I feel icky.” Ryan slowly said. They all agreed to head back home. The entire walk to the cars even the car ride home was tense, even more then in the tunnel. The only time Ryan felt he could breathe was when Russ dropped off at his house. “ Hey dude I’ll see you tomorrow,right?” Russ just nodded his head and waved to Ryan. Ryan was a bit depressed when he went upstairs with just a grunt made in the direction of his sister who was on the couch. He was glad to take a shower, to get the dirty feeling water off his body. He began to get a headache as he walked toward his room to sleep, deciding to just sleep off the headache he laid on his bed and once his head hit his pillow he fell asleep.

It had been a good week since the gang had visited the abandoned amusement park, it had gotten weird that entire week and it was still tense with Scott and Russ ,but not as much. “ Has anything weird happen to you guys since we left the Park?” Snake said while looking out the cafe window. Russ and Scott nodded their heads not saying a word. Ryan looked around the cafe before speaking to them all, “ So what happened to you all?” Scott made eye contact with Ryan and began to tell him in a hushed voice “ I can hear what people think, I can levitate things and I’ve been able to convince people to do things, but only if they talk back touch me.” Ryan’s eyes widen at Scott’s statement  “Guess you could say you have lvl. 100  persuasion.” Russ said while poking at his chocolate cake. Scott gave a quick glance to Russ before taking a sip of his espresso. Snake began his tale after a moment “ I can turn invisible and i have like super speed,but it’s weird cause I can lift heavy objects now like a car.” “ You tested it out?” Ryan asked, “No. But i found out when i went to work on my brother car.” Snake explained. Russ butted in before anybody could say anything “ Guess we can call you The Black Mamba.” Snake snorted at Russ’s joke. “okay , now it’s your turn Russ.” Scott stared at him in interest. “ Okay,okay. Keep your pants on.” Russ’s volume went down to a hushed tone, “ I can bend water.” Ryan looked at him in amazement, Russ smiled proudly back at Ryan. “Really.” Ryan’s voice cracked just a bit. “Really.” Russ mimicked Ryan’s voice crack. Scott gave a small laugh at that one, Snake as well. “ So Ryan what you do?” Scott leaned back into his seat waiting for Ryan to give them his story. Ryan took a deep breathe and began “ I have like electricity powers, my phone is always charged now, I can create sparks and I’ve been able to somehow connect with my electronics and it’s so freaky. Like I got rid of a virus on my computer earlier today and I knew how to fix the tv yesterday. It was weird.” Russ opened his mouth to say another one of his hilarious lines to Ryan, But Scott put his hand over his mouth before he could even say “I guess”. “ So what do we do now?” Scott asked worriedly. The others just shrugged and sat in silence, then Russ spoke up “ We could be Superheroes.” he suggested. “No!” Scott said quickly. “Why not?” Ryan spoke up. “B-because we don’t know what other powers we have a-and we could hurt others.” Scott stuttered out. Russ looked down in thought as he considered what Scott said.

“ Have any of you seen men in black suits, they look like the FBI. They were parked outside my house the other day.” Snake announced, “Same” Russ and Scott said at once ,” My sister freaked out because they wouldn’t go away and she was scared for my niece.” Ryan said a bit scared. “Weird stuff has been happening after we all went to the park. It was probably the water.” Scott was moving his head trying to unstiffen his neck. “ so what now?” Snake asked, we all looked at him he was usually the guy with a plan, that we all could agree on and now he was asking us for an answer. “ We could become superheroes, but we could practice first.” Russ suggested again. Scott sighed. Snake nodded his head and agreed with Russ. Ryan grinned at their agreement. “What are we to be called now as we are superheroes?” Russ asked with a wild grin. “Shut up. I’m going home for now. Call if anything else happens.Okay?” Scott walked out of the cafe with his hands in pockets and his skin mostly covered by fabrics. Snake got up next and waved  to Russ and Ryan as they waved back. Snake walked very cautiously and slowly towards the door, he was very gentle with opening the door and shouldering pass the people outside in the crowd, he blended in well with the crowd as if he was invisible. Russ stood up and grabbed his stuff “ I’ll see you later ShortStack.” he stuck his tongue out as he walked backwards towards the door. Going with the flow just like a running river. He moved smoothly, very differently than before.

Ryan looked at the empty seats around the table and smiled loosely. He got up and put gloves on his hands as he walked towards the door, his jacket zipped halfway up, he pushed the door open and stepped into the chilly air of the city with a smile on his face, he walked on down the street to his car. The city was full of people different from one another in many different ways, yet four people were even more different than the rest of them. “ We have their locations.” a man in a black Chevrolet Impala rolled the window up as he spoke to the bluetooth in his right ear. A man in a big velvet chair grinned evilly as he got the news of the new test subjects he would soon have in his hands.

yo dawg. last night i was feelin p jank, so as a warmup i did a lil doodle of the very first late night w cry and russ. s’ neat. it’s kinda wild to think that i’ve been gettin older with the stream, considering my birthday is the day before the anniversary of lnc. so i guess you could think of it as us both growin! although i dont think the stream can really register that. s’ the thought that counts. this will always hold a p dear place in my doki though. gross. 

so yeah! ill prolly put all that under a read more bc blah blah blah blah.
