"The topic of being a bastard is so prominent to his character!" But that's the problem: it literally isn't in the book lmao. Harwin died when Jace was 4 years old, he never knew him. He thought of himself as a Velaryon-Targaryen and it was only the Greens at court who gave a fuck about the boys having brown hair. The show is just reducing Jace to his bastardy and erasing what a great leader he would have been (even the Greens-biased maesters agreed) because Condal fucking hates him.

I agree with the sentiment however. A lot of the wonderful things set up in the book are not included in the show. I think this is more apparent and more harmful towards this season than any other. Ive especially disliked how they’ve done Jace season and a lot of the other younger characters

However: my post was specifically talking about show Jace. Show Jace was obviously a lot older when it came to when he was hearing the bastard rumours at kings-landing. I think him being bastard being a big insecurity makes sense with how they set him show wise

Also: we never get any first character perspectives in fire blood. We will never know if Jace was upset about being a bastard or not.

After episode 4, my questions are:

Where is Kim Tae Sung in the present timeline? Sol34 (I'm calling her this to separate the young and present version) can’t remember him so he must not be in her life now.

The interactions of the other characters (her friend and her brother, her mom and Sun Jae's dad) were shown separately from any Sun Jae and Sol34 scenes so is it safe to assume that all these happened in the OG timeline?

How did Sol34 get Sun Jae’s watch? She said it was from an online auction but how sure was she it was Sun Jae’s? And in the hospital scene, Sun Jae was holding that same watch, only broken.

We still don’t know how the watch (time travel) works. Why was Sol suddenly brought back to the present? Was there a "time limit" every time she goes back to the past? And could she pinpoint when she wants to go back or the watch chooses it for her? She only has 2 chances now and she doesn’t even know what exactly she should be changing.

In one of the trailers, we see Im Sol and Sun Jae in their concert day (ep 1) attires and Im Sol was walking. Is it safe to assume she was able to prevent the accident at least?

We need a td character who is, like, "looking further" then everyone else. They are an early boot but don't really care about it since their main goal - prepare everything for the next season. So they manipulate eliminated contestants, mess up with their relationships, find an allies and make a global scheme for a next season so they won't have to do anything in the challenges because everything is gonna be ready from the start

Bonus points if their whole plan cracks because of 1 (one) contestant who is so damn choatic and unpredictable so "the mastermind™" couldn't put them in their scheme

this is an addition to him being a time traveller theory, you know those little flashes of memories sol gets every time slip? i think sunjae got that after sol undid their first meeting!! prior to his 3rd death (crying) he alr knows about sol’s time travelling and it being through a watch right. he gets those flashes of memories, see his watch and time travels himself! back to the new present, theres no way he doesnt know sol like this is just a parallel of ep 1 except they now both love each other like truly and have went through 15 years of yearning
