Mermay 2023 - Paleontology Based Merfolk
Tumblr media
For the final proper batch of Merfolk for this Mermay, did a series of Paleontological themed Merfolk! They also form the foundations of many aspects of Merfolk culture in Beast Fables.
Ixandyr the Sea Lord - Mosasaurus
- Essentially Alexander the Great, but oceanic lizard-man. The man responsible for taming the seas, creating an adminsitrative system that lasted even after his empire was broken up and gone, and waged war against the surface world.
Keresa - Megalodon
- The greatest guardian to ever live, who could single-handedly stop a raid of some of the baddest merfolk to have ever lived. Also a selfless, kind sould beneath the giant muscles and sharp teeth.
Elun the Cleared-Eyed - Odobenocetops
- The guy that made modern merfolk religion as we know it. To him, all things are expressions of the Goddess, from the sands beneath to the water
Runihura - Jaekelopterus
The biggest of the big, the raider of raiders, comparable to even Keresa in size and ferocity.
Kuriosus - Walliserops
The first naturalist of ‘em all. His books are remarkably well preserved!
Kosumi and 'Awha'y, Last of the Primevals - Sabertooth Salmon and Semirostrum
The very last merfolk, without whom, many wouldn’t even KNOW the names of those that came before.

[SevenAU] The Rashied brothers | Timeline 19 - Revolting Children.
(Yayy, I draw this picture based on the song "Revolting Children". This musical play is my favorite song recently🥹).
YSG is the high school that the Rashied family is attending. There, a principal is trying to control the students with devious rules, with help from Neveris "Runihura".
How lucky, although the Rashied 19 family are just ordinary people, their intelligence and bravery are beyond compare.

Theee More OC's important to my Liochant's backstory! (All images thanks to Elena-illustration picrew! Check them out!)
These three are a few of the people that "sponsored" Liochant as a gladiator. 3/4 of his owners, with the only one not pictured being not pictured for a reason, a true monster. Long post so read more time!
Tumblr media
The Soldier - Sir [Redacted] (Age 67)
Sir was a general for the Northern Tu'la army and was responsible for the initial seige on Solspear. He ended up being Liochants first handler, receiving 12-year-old Liochant as a gift for his service and he trained the boy to become an asset. The older mei'fwa wasn't kind nor was he cruel, he punished Liochant when he failed and rewarded him when he succeeded.
The old mei'fwa was a follower of Esmund, and he valued protecting what he believed it and instead valuing protecting lives. A twisted perversion of the faith but never the less religious. Being faithful, he did allow Liochant to practice his religion, something Liochant held onto.
Tumblr media
The Stylist - Lady Kanika (Age 48)
She was Liochant's second owner, having received him as a "gift" from her status obsessed husband. Lady Kanika came from a northern temple of Menphia, and she herself was a strong temple priestess before it was dismantled due to "treason against the king." . After that, she was forced into a marriage with her husband at the age of 32.
She was the kindest of Liochant's sponsors, for she did not support the gladiator pits but knew that any opposition could result in her death. So with that she tried to give Liochant an easy time. She allowed him to practice his religion, even helping him become a fully fledged priest of Menphia and gave him all of his tattoos.
Her passion was fashion design and was a great inker and sewing, for stabbing with a blade and stabbing with a needle is all on flowing motion. She treated Liochant like an almost son, but even then Liochant did not have it easy as when Lady Kanika's husband was around, he was nothing more than a punching bag.
Tumblr media
The Scorpion - Runihura
He was Liochant fourth and last sponsor. The Scorpion of southern Tu'la and the one who betrayed the previous queen of the desert. He chose riches and a higher social standing over his country, a poison on the earth thus earning the name Scorpion.
He plays up the party act, but deep down, he feels deep and immense regret for it. Betraying your country with an act that then forced children to fight to the death for the entertainment of rich people will do that to ya. So, to fix his mistakes, he smuggles out gladiators to give them better lives. Not without a price though.
The Scorpion found Liochant undeniably handsome and kept Liochant around longer than normal as he made amazing arm candy. A selfish man through and through who will spend the rest of his life making up for his actions.
Another thing I want to add about him. "A man adorned with flowers" is an insult in southern Tu'la as the scent of flowers masks the stench of rotting things.

The Necromancer’s Cauldron (Chapter 7) - Etrian Odyssey 5 Fanfiction
AN: Sorry for the wait, I got distracted with Pokemon Violet, not to mention I had to get medical botox for my migraines and that didn’t exactly go well. Anywho, hope you enjoy reading~

Chapter 7:
The sun was dipping toward the horizon as the carriage pulled out the front of the Crescentia. It was about mid-afternoon, only a few hours of sunlight left. It was something that caused Zohar yet more concern. Unsurprisingly, the dark of night was the preferred time for wraiths and other unearthly entities to reveal themselves and wander the mortal realm, as he put it.
Jumping out of the carriage, Drayce idly rubbed his throat. Zohar had used Theodore’s spiritual energy to offer him some healing relief, while also dismissing his ghostly companion to get some much-needed rest in the ethereal realm. He had reassured him that the skin had not been broken, but the grip was sure to leave a bit of bruising. Enough to have Ashton and Blayke fussing over him relentlessly, no doubt.
That fussing would have to wait, however. They had a name for the knight that went on a minor rampage through the city. Hopefully, the name would help them uncover who had stolen the Blood Cauldron. Or at least point them in the direction of why it was stolen.
“Drayce!”
Kamali’s voice calling his name in alarm caused Drayce to snap his head up, immediately pulling himself out of his musings. His concern grew further when he found the usually placid and calm warlock hurrying over to him.
“What is it? What’s wrong?” he asked.
“Those entities,” Kamali blurted out, slightly breathless. “They’ve been seen all over the city.”
Drayce felt his stomach clench. “What?”
Next to him, Zohar bristled and he abruptly summoned a still irritated Theodore. “We must do something. And quickly. If those entities taste mortal flesh, they’ll only grow in strength.”
Without waiting for a response, Zohar abruptly turned on his heel and raced out into the city streets, Theodore following him closely.
Drayce turned, unconsciously throwing out his arm in the direction of his guildmate. “Zohar, wait!”
Kamali grabbed his arm with both of his hands, ensuring that Drayce didn’t follow the determined necromancer. “He’s right. We have to do something.”
And they couldn’t let Zohar do all the work by himself.
“Right. Where is everyone?”
Kamali pointed to the Crescentia’s entrance; the twin doors wide open. “Inside. We’re unsure of what to do exactly.”
Drayce hurried inside with Kamali right behind him. He made it into the foyer before he was confronted by Blayke, his best friend already decked out in his armour, his rapier situated by his side.
“Drayce?” he asked him questioningly, his face creased in irritation and concern.
“I know,” Drayce said toward the fencer, taking note that the rest of his guild had gathered in the front seating room. They all turned to him the moment they felt his presence, each wearing varying degrees of uncertainty and fear. All turning to him, the leader of the guild, for direction.
He wished there was something he could say to reassure them, but unfortunately, he needed to ask three of his guildmates to head out into danger with him. He didn’t like it. He truly didn’t.
“We have no choice; we’ll need to split up. Everyone, do whatever it takes to keep your distance. Do not, under any circumstances, let them physically attack. Blakye, maintain your armour. Kamali, ranged elemental attacks. Caelem, get the Shining Lotus; it’s natural light ability will dispatch these entities. Faelen, you and Nashoba stay here.”
“But-!” Faelen immediately began to protest and Drayce swiftly interrupted him.
“With Salim, Tokala, and Runihura still recovering, and with Ashton and Shashi researching, I need you to protect everyone here at the Crescentia. Lock the place down.”
Theoretically, Faelen’s archery would prove crucial in long-ranged battles. But he was young. And Drayce was protective. If all wendigos looked like that skeleton abomination from the cemetery, he didn’t want the therian to endure witnessing something like that.
“Fiorello, I need you to be at the ready in case someone is injured.”
The skilled botanist wore a serious express. “I’m aware of these wendigos.”
“I was hoping you were.” Probably due to his closeness to Zohar. But if not…
He shook his head. That was something to ponder about later. “Everyone, if you get injured, return to the Crescentia immediately. Everyone got that?”
“Yes!”
“Good.” Drayce took a moment to inspect his cannon. “Now, be careful and good luck.”
Blayke and Kamali immediately turned and raced through the front doors while Caelem raced up the stairs, taking two steps at a time.
Slipping the strap of his weapon over his shoulder, Drayce turned to also move out the doors. Only to pause after a half stepped and turned his attention to his guild’s talented researchers. “Shashi, the knight’s name is Chevell.”
Shashi nodded his head. “Understood. Leave it to us.”
“Don’t do anything foolish, Drayce,” Ashton immediately warned, fussy as always.
Drayce shot the caretaker a grin over his shoulder as he raced out the door. “Have some faith in me, Ash!”
His smile soon slipped from his lips. He needed to focus. He had complete faith in Blayke, Kamali, and Caelem. But worry was still prevalent. He didn’t like the idea of them splitting up. He truly didn’t. Maybe it would be best for them to act as a team. Like they would in the labyrinth.
Yet, spreading out to deal with the wendigos made the most sense. Deal with the problem, help those in need, even advise others how to battle against such enemies. With attacks across the city, they needed to be everywhere at once.
He just couldn’t help but worry. He often made fun of Ashton’s fussy tendencies, but Drayce was the same with his guildmates. He trusted them. They knew how to handle themselves.
But there was always that little voice in the back of his head whispering “what if?”
A shrill scream of surprise pulled Drayce back into focus. He was close to the marketplace, and from the crowd of panicked people fleeing the area, there was no doubt that a wendigo was around.
Drayce pushed himself through the crowds, his path constantly interrupted by the scared and the confused. He had to lift his weapon over his head to ensure he didn’t accidently shoot someone.
Finally, he reached the centre of the markets. Stores were still open, lights of lanterns in the process of being lit. It was dark under the domed ceiling of the centre markets. Where the permanent stalls resided.
Slightly breathless from his fight through the crowds, Drayce readied his weapon as he glanced around quickly. The arena was mostly empty, with only a few citizens running about in confusion and panic.
Something had clearly terrified the people of the markets.
And he soon saw what that thing was.
A skeleton. Similar to the one that had attacked Drayce at the cemetery. This skeleton still had shreds of clothing falling off of its frame, indicating that it wasn’t that old. It wasn’t from the old cemetery then. Maybe the newer one?
Drayce flicked the safety off of his cannon as the wendigo unexpectedly dropped down onto all fours and scurried in a spider like manner toward an empty shop. And latched itself upon the wall. How it was able to find grip to do such a thing, Drayce could only speculate.
Currently, it didn’t matter. Not when it scurried hurriedly over to a group of locals. The guard that stood with the ground was attempting to bring order to the chaos, but with that skeleton entity, crawling on all fours like some kind of crab, skittering across the walls, it was hard to bring calm to the situation.
The skeleton scurried along the brick walls and onto the high arching ceiling. Directly above where the guard stood, unaware of his surroundings. Whether he was the wendigos target, or the people that the guard was attempting to calm was irrelevant.
Drayce raised his gun. The angle was steep, and the speed of the skeleton was a problem. But he should at the very least draw attention toward himself.
A split second after he squeezed the trigger, a loud echoing crack was heard, and Drayce winced slightly from the recoil. He truly wasn’t used to aiming so high. Thankfully, his aim had been good enough to strike the skeleton, causing it to drop from the ceiling and onto the ground.
The sound it made as it hit the hard, stone paved grounds of the marketplace was truly unsettling. The literal sound of bones breaking and snapping.
Had it been defeated?
No. The bones began to piece themselves back together. Like some unworldly, and terrifying jigsaw puzzle. The power of the spell used to draw the skeleton from their graves was all that was keeping the bones together. Allowing them to move. To hunt.
What a terrifying ability…
“Go, get out of here!” He ordered toward the guard, who had finally realised how close he was to the cause of the mayhem. “I’ll deal with this thing.”
The guard didn’t stop to demand answers, and thankfully didn’t freeze into place as the grey skeleton jerkily arose to its feet. He immediately went back to work, ushering the frightened citizens to evacuate in an orderly fashion.
The wendigo seemed to have its attention directed toward Drayce, but he summoned a Decoy Shield for extra security. The mana of the shield should gain the entities attention. And keep it.
Drayce took a step back just as the wendigo lurched forward, to latch itself upon the shield. It…acted so animalistic. Gnawing onto the etheric shield, gnashing its teeth in an attempt to tear off pieces of flesh that didn’t exist. The skeleton was that of an earthlain, but it’s movements…
It was…barbaric.
Shaking his head to rid himself of the discomfort, Drayce pressed the butt of his cannon against his shoulder and steeled himself to take a shot. He shot at the chest cavity first, but only managed to break off fragments of bone. And the wendigo continued to savagely attack the shield.
Drayce summoned a second to keep it busy, wracking his brain of what to do as the wendigo destroyed the first shield and promptly leapt onto the second.
The next best place he thought to aim for was the head. It truly was the only solid bone of the entire skeleton. And it felt that was where the magic used to form such an entity was stored.
As he squeezed the trigger once more, all he could do was hope that he was right.
Another loud crack echoed through the arena. The shot had been accurate, striking the skull on the left side, breaking off chunks of bone as the bullet passed through. As the pieces of the skull disperse, the body stiffened violently, before…breaking down, bone by bone, until it was a crumbled heap on the ground.
Drayce breathed a sigh of relief.
He was right! The skull. Destroying the skull released the power keeping the entity together. Like cutting the strings from a puppet.
He hoped the others had figured that out, too.
Ok. He knew what to do now. It should make things easier. He needed to clear the area of the markets before moving onto elsewhere.
More importantly; he needed to find Syrik and make sure he was ok.
Moving deeper into the mostly empty marketplace, Drayce entered an open area where travelling merchants would set up their shops. And was startled by the sight of a certain brounii rushing across his path, with a large knapsack on his back.
And a skeleton creeping on all fours after him!
Drayce automatically summoned a Decoy Shield in the direct path of the Wendigo, forcing it to crash headfirst into it. Its frame crumbled from the impact, but it soon etched itself together once more. And to latch onto the shield.
“Syrik!” Drayce called out as he darted forward to stand protectively in front of him. “You ok?”
Syrik looked startled for a brief moment, confused by Drayce’s sudden appearance. But he soon smiled broadly, relief prevalent in his eyes and expression. “Whew, in one piece!”
“Did that thing manage to land a blow?” He asked as he summoned another Decoy Shield.
“No. Never thought I’d be so pleased with my short stature.” Syrik suddenly dropped his knapsack onto the ground and reached into it. After a few seconds, he pulled out a small cardboard box. “By the way, use these!”
Drayce caught the package instinctively and as he glanced at the label, he realised that they were a pack of bullets. Specialised bullets. Perfect!
Slipping one of the bullets into the chamber, Drayce steeled himself for battle once more. He knew he had to aim for the skull. He just hoped that this Wendigo stood still long enough to get a decent shot int.
Free from physical restrictions, the wendigo moved quickly and erratically between the two etheric shields. Scurrying around on all fours, its empty sockets focused upon him, its jaw snapping open and shut as if it was readying itself to taste mortal flesh.
The Decoy Shields wasn’t enough. They were made up of etheric energy, but as Zohar had already warned him, they wanted mortal flesh. And they would do whatever it took to get it.
Without warning, wendigo lunged at him.
Drayce hardly had time to aim. He managed to lift his cannon high enough to press the muzzle against the centre of the wendigo’s ribcage. At such short range, hopefully the shot would be enough to push the entity back. Far enough for him to aim for the skull
Yet, as the bullet ripped through the chest cavity, sending shards of bone into the air, the wendigo gave out a ghastly shriek. And then the bones crumbled to the ground, into a messy and disorganised pile.
It was defeated?
“Whew,” Syrik uttered again as he rubbed his forehead with the back of his hand, somehow still able to smile impishly despite the chaos. “Bullets that have been blessed by Shamans. Glad to know that they really do work on those wendigos!”
Huh, so he was aware of wendigos, too. Though, that probably shouldn’t be a surprise. He was a brounii merchant. Drayce would have to have a friendly chat with Syrik sometime. He was sure to be filled with knowledge on brounii myths and legends himself.
Before that, though…
Drayce ejected the spent shell casting and promptly replaced it with a live round. “I owe you one, Syrik. You may this day a whole lot easier.” He racked his gun. “Now, get somewhere safe. I got some work to do.”
“You got it! Before that, here!” Syrik remained surprisingly cheerful, unfazed by the chaos.  He suddenly threw a couple of blue glassed bottles at him, which Drayce instinctively caught. “Have some blessed holy water as well!”
Drayce slipped the waters into his jacket pocket. “And I owe you again! Stay safe!”
It honestly felt wrong to leave Syrik behind. To essentially leave him to defend for himself. But he needed to continue his work. He needed to find and stop those Wendigos before they tasted mortal flesh. That was something that troubled Zohar the most. They grew stronger after tearing at flesh.
The specialised bullets and holy waters may be enough to stop them now, in their current state. But would they work after they tasted flesh?
A flash of white from the corner of his eye prompted Drayce to skid to a stop and automatically summon a Decoy Shield several feet in front of him. As he raised his cannon, another skeleton flung itself from its perch on top of a stone pillar and land atop of the etheric shield.
Its movements were feral as it attempted to tear the shield apart. It brought a shiver to Drayce’s spin. He hoped to whatever higher being was listening that he wouldn’t stumble across a citizen as a victim.
It would be too nightmarish to endure.
Raising his weapon, Drayce fired off another round. Shards of bone flew into the air like confetti. And, like previous encounters, the bones stilled as an otherworldly shriek cut through the air. Then, it crumbled to the ground. In an unmoving heap.
Drayce uttered a sigh as he ejected the spent casting and quickly reloaded. Ok, that was three. How many more were there?
The sensation of something hitting the side of his foot caused Drayce to jump and he immediately looked down at the ground. Expecting the sight of a skeletal hand grasping onto his boot.
Instead, he saw a familiar black orb with a yellow beak and two little yellow bird legs. Of which were kicking in the air, attempting to roll itself upright.
“Raven?” Drayce murmured as he reached out and snared the strange little wraith with his hand. “What are you doing here?”
“I wasn’t sleeping in the marketplace, before you ask.”
Drayce snapped his head up at the familiar voice. “Kyrell?”
The purple-haired necromancer walked over to him, a polite, if passive smile upon his lips. “This city seems to be in quite the bother, though. You perhaps know why?”
Drayce resisted the urge to raise an eyebrow. From that question, asked in a peaceful if oblivious manner, he assumed that Kyrell had indeed been sleeping somewhere within the marketplace.
Of course, that wasn’t the most important thing right now.
“It’s, ah…” It was probably best for Drayce to be honest with Kyrell. He was a necromancer, after all. He would want to know, wouldn’t he?
“Someone stole the Blood Cauldron and is using it to create wendigos.”
Kyrell’s eyes narrowed sharply, even as his expression remained polite. Raven fluttered from Drayce’s hand to move to land on Kyrell’s shoulder, the necromancer’s smile becoming terse. “Is that so?”
He certainly didn’t sound pleased. Which wasn’t a surprise.
Drayce uttered another sigh as he turned his gaze to suspect their surroundings. His eyes soon flickered down to the ground. To the pile of aging bones.
“I hate desecrating someone’s bones like that,” he murmured, guilt settling in the pit of his stomach. “I wish I knew who they were, so they could be place back where they rested.”
“Ah, perhaps I can help with that.” Kyrell stepped forward and rested his hand upon Drayce’s shoulder. He looked upon him in a calm, positively caring manner. “Getting into contact with the spirit shall give me the names needed. Do not worry; I will not reanimate them.”
That was honestly incredibly reassuring.
“Thank you, I really appreciate it.”
Kyrell gave his shoulder an encouraging squeeze. “They will understand that you are simply protecting yourself and others. Now, go, and don’t worry.”
Drayce nodded his head, his energy renewed. “Right. Be careful.”
“And you.”

The character itself is inspired by Error/Error Sans cause for some reason I’ve developed an attachment to the character. I did turn him human in my Youtube. But if I wanted this character to be more separated to Error, I decided to take it a step further (just a bit) with the differences. And while he is my mascot. He is his own character.
NOT an accurate representation of who I am as a person.
His hair by the way, is the result of a terrible dyeing incident in where he wanted to dye his hair a full cyan/light blue color. The hair dye ended up turning purple and whatever chemical was in it permanently stained his hair the way it is. Even cutting it off wasn’t a solution cause once it grew back, the dyed parts do as well. He often claims it’s on purpose but hides the worse part of his dyed hair under his beanie since it has a weird gradient to it. The least worse ones he makes claims he did on purpose to look cool, but is extremely self-conscious of the top part of his hair.
(And to differentiate him from Error even more, yes, he is a digital artist.)
I might consider making a webcomic for him at some point.
And yes, he’s bisexual for those confused over the flag.

Pls tell ten facts about the clankies Runihura and Niu :D
Ahaha okay, here we go! XD
Runihura:
1. Though he had the typical bronze skin of the people of Prospero, Runihura also had shockingly bright red hair, green-blue eyes, and freckles across his nose.
2. He also had a rather infectious grin, which was never quite symmetrical.
3. Runihura’s tutelary (before all the tutelaries turned against the Sons while they were trapped in the warp, anyway) was named Adaeoet - it appeared as an flickering, ever-changing network of red and gold lightning in the vague shape of wings, and sounded like multiple birds singing.
4. Runihura’s main hobby is making fine, delicate jewellery - usually pendants, brooches or earrings. Sometimes he’ll make them as psychic focuses for his battle-brothers, other times they’re just jewellery for the sake of being jewellery because he likes pretty things. A good number of the human crew aboard the Aten wear at least one piece of Runihura’s jewellery.
5. After the whole possessing-a-Defiler-shell incident, it took Runihura almost two weeks to get accustomed to making it walk properly - he was not used to having that many legs.
6. After the whole possessing-a-Defiler-shell incident, it took about three hours for the pair of cats that had ‘adopted’ Runihura to find their way down to the docking bay that now houses his crab-tank form. Said cats haven’t left the docking bay since, and are often found perched somewhere on Runihura - usually up near his head, or draped across the battlecannon barrel. Runi says they like to feel tall.
7. At some point, some of the other techs aboard the Aten helped to install several mechadendrites onto Runihura’s Defiler shell, so he could manipulate objects more easily. With these mechadendrites, he’s been able to continue his jewellery-making, and can also still read books/dataslates and write dirty limericks (among other things).
8. Don’t ask him to use all his mechadendrites and walk at the same time, however. He still hasn’t figured out that many limbs.
9. Runihura probably has the best (or at least, most inappropriate) sense of humour of all his battle-brothers, and he’ll often mock-despair at how his bros just do not appreciate his jokes.
10. He is, however, also very good at lightening his brothers’ moods with well-timed quips and light-hearted comments, and is still an important source of morale-boosting - especially for Akil, who often visits him just to talk.
Niu:
1. Niu is about the same age as Runihura and Sefu, and the three of them pretty much grew up and trained together. While they weren’t deployed together all the time, they still often ended up in the same squad or company.
2. Niu is a very quiet, dry, deadpan kind of personality, and tended to take things a little too seriously - or at least, so it seemed. He rarely smiled, and even when he did, it was a brief, fleeting thing - a quick flash of white teeth in dark skin, there and then gone again. One of the few things that could get him to do so on a somewhat reliable basis however was giving Runihura shit (I couldn’t for the life of me come up with a more Astartes-appropriate phrase XD).
3. Niu is a Corvidae seer, and was especially potent with on-the-battlefield short-term predictions, which has saved his battle-brothers from injury or death on many, many occasions.
4. Niu’s preferred weapon was a two-handed force glaive, which he was absolutely meticulous about keeping clean, almost to the point of obsessiveness.
5. Niu’s tutelary was Raagiosl, which appeared to those who could see it as a crown of clear, whirling water.
6. Niu and Sefu often commiserated with each other over Runihura’s recklessness in battle and the lengths they needed to go through to keep their idiot battle-brother from an early death. They would usually do so well within Runihura’s hearing, which amused him endlessly, the unrepentant bastard.
7. Niu kept a small pair of dice from his childhood before the Legion, and often used them to practice his foresight.
8. The battle that resulted in Niu being interred in a dreadnought was on Kamenka Troika, in one of the many fights against the ork forces that the Emperor had tasked the XV Legion to cleanse from the trio of planets. While locked in combat, Niu foresaw the various outcomes of his squad’s fight against a Mek Warboss’s custom Deff Dred; he chose the path that resulted in the fewest casualties amongst his brothers and the ork warboss’s defeat, even though it resulted in him being almost torn in half. Only the biomancy skills of Sefu and Kamuzu kept him alive long enough to be interred.
9. Niu sometimes wrote music in his limited free time, though he never had it played. The sheets of music, stowed in a lockbox, were returned to Prospero along with his other limited personal belongings after the war on Kamenka Troika, and were left there when he was deployed as a Dreadnought to the Aten. The lockbox of never-played music was still on Prospero when the Wolves came.
10. As a dreadnought, Niu now spends much of his time ‘asleep’, as damage to the links between his dreadnought and his sarcophagus lead to some issues, including him sometimes having trouble telling past, present and future apart. Sometimes, however, when the Warp is calm and he’s having a good day, he’ll spend time down in Runihura’s docking bay, keeping his old battle-brother company… and giving him shit.

A world war has taken place on the planet of Charis. The 6 nations are divided once more due to Zeinor's new leader's greed. An organization in Equx launches Project: ATARAXIA, recruiting many powerful allies to help put an end to this tiresome war and put Zeinor's corrupt high council back to their place.
There are 6 nations inhabiting different territories:
Zeinor: Lush Green Hills
Racoris: Badlands
Asin: Ocean
Equx: Rainforest
Igon: Tundra
Niani: Desert Chasms
OC Info
Runihura; or Raidon (to his friends), is a thorny devil who survived a raid upon his scorching desert of a home. Unlike most of his allies, he does not have any superpowers, yet still is regarded as equally important due to his proficiency at battle strategies. That doesn't mean he's completely helpless in combat either, as he makes good use of his arm blades and whatever abilities being a thorny devil give him. He hopes to one day take back his home from the nation that took over his homeland.
Keira is a weaponized hedgehog who was kidnapped and imprisoned in an underground lab by the high council (her nation's government lmao). During her imprisonment, Keira was tested on and as a result gained two powers: umbrakinesis (shadow manipulation) and umbra-electrokinesis (destructive lightning manipulation). Eventually she escaped during a containment breach caused by Fleetway (he's also a test subject :C), and fled to another continent to seek refuge. Once she was taken in by an organization that plans on ending the war (also is the reason behind everyone meeting each other), she honed her abilities and mastered the art of the scythe.
Fleetway is a hedgehog of noble status, but unfortunately inherited his bloodline's infamous ability: chaos manipulation. He was sent to the underground lab after his home was threatened to be destroyed by the high council. Like Keira, he too was tested on, and continually lost control of his powers (the side effects essentially send him into a state of insanity). As he grew stronger, he wrecked havoc upon the lab, and was transferred into Zeinor's military. Under the high council's control, he performed few mass genocides to earn their trust. Once he's no longer their dog on a leash, Fleetway plans to burn the corrupt high council to the ground.
Soleil; or Mysta, is a boisterous cat who's also an aspiring fashion designer. There isn't much to her background other than having failed at so many jobs she finally landed one that involved her making combat outfits. She designed some of the clothes for our main cast of characters and constantly drags them out to shop with her. Besides that, Mysta is adept at the art of magic (it's actually telekinesis but she's lazy to say it), but due to her... being a cat... you might see her use it in the most useless ways out of combat and work.
Siegfried is a tiger who hails from a land of eternal winter. Like Raidon, he fled his country once enemy troops seized his home. After witnessing his home's destruction from a distance, he vows to protect and support his allies and friends in order to never see them meet such a fate. Siegfried's natural kindness, cheekiness and sense of responsibility allows him to assume the older brother role for his friends. Besides this, he also excels at photokinesis. It sounds incredibly useless in combat, and you'd be right, as Siegfried assumes more of a support role in a fight. Blinding foes and creating light clones to momentarily distract them is his job - this is to allow for his comrades an opportunity to strike.
Scorch is a lion mercenary who was sent over to the organization to help increase their strength. Scorch can come off as overconfident and a bit of a hot-head sometimes (it doesn't help that he has "exploding fire manipulation" as an ability). Despite his pride and arrogance, he has a soft-spot for his friends and family. An experienced fighter, he's known in his homeland for his tough training (he trains his siblings but goes a lil easier on them HAHA). Everyone he trained have shown significant improvement, and Keira, who sought his combat guidance when she arrived at the organization, is no different.
Brutus is a thresher shark who hails from an underwater sea kingdom. Unlike the rest of the gang, he’s what we know as a “merman”. Like his kind, he is able to breathe in both underwater and on the surface — however, he has no legs, which is why he uses a pair of mechanical legs on land. Snarky and kind of an ass overall, Brutus brings life (chaos) to the table, and his comments tend to be… controversial. On the flip side, he’s extremely loyal, competent and brings his share of skills to the team, even though he likes provoking his teammates for fun.

“Hi.” That was all she said as she came upon Apep. What else was she supposed to say? Most of the time, he annoyed her very existence. However, their last conversation had gone the complete opposite of how she thought it would. Now everything about him made her question everything. All she wanted to do was just shut off her brain for the night so that was what she was going to do. No thinking about anything before she did it. No plans. She was just going to go with the flow and see how that went for her. “You look nice.”
