BELTANE BLESSINGS Commemoration Reflection Celebration ● COMMEMORATION ● This image was created twelve months ago and posted on gifts-of-heimdall-runes Tumblr blog at sunset (in Birmingham UK) 30th April 2019 commemorating Beltane / Walpurgisnacht. The components were variously sourced from social media by personal preference and the picture created to generate some blog interest to coincide with the pagan holiday in 2019. Pleasingly, the plan to increase interest worked and my little blog began to accumulate unexpected likes & followers. Subsequently, this picture became a turning point to various creative ventures in 2019. ● REFLECTION ● The world of Beltane across Europe in 2019 and 2020 are very different. Therefore, this picture now symbolises both my personal reflection and recognition of the events worldwide since January 2020. If social distancing is respected there can only be personal May-Day celebrations this year and no group events. ● CELEBRATION ● Never forgetting 1st May has always been a major pagan knees-up and I am no exception to acknowleding these potent fertility festivities. Consequently, Beltane was always a celebration. Thus, this picture celebrates my ancestors and the old pagan in my bones. FUTHARK RING CIRCLES Rune Art 2020 - 2021 Gifts_Of_Heimdall_Runes ● ‘Futhark Ring Circles’ groups a loose collection of the following seven designs. All were a likely byproduct of being unhealthily over-fixated on the futhark rune ring, but discovery of some PNGs with lovely background textures via DeviantArt & Flickr proved rather too compelling. ● 'Futhark Ring Circles’ were broadly created September 2020 to March 2020 but took a while to reach this blog because sharing 'Bifröst Shining - Rune Reflections’ took priority. The images however provided an unexpected but convenient link to a new collection of rune art which follows this section. ● 1. Futhark Circle Variations ● Personal Rune Art 2003-4 ● Gifts_Of_Heimdall_Runes (originally signed mikel2003) ● Created originally with Serif 3D Plus & Draw Plus platforms. ● To close this section, a few variants of Elder Futhark rune circle. ● The first image was used to front a multimedia presentation originally posted on ‘Gifts of Heimdall’ website (retired) and shared on Tumblr in March 2019.
