watching the christmas specials at work this week (because why not) and MAN The Runaway Bride is dark for a christmas special!!! and it literally barely mentions christmas. i’m pretty sure donna screams “its christmas eve!” like twice, there’s a tree at her reception, and that’s it.. but seriously the plot? donna was getting poisoned and lied to by a man she loved and was ready to marry, the doctor tries to kill an alien while she screams “my children!” and of course can’t forget ten’s sad boi vibe the whole episode. i mean honestly what a wild ride.

Listen listen listen. If they keep up with the adding flashbacks. They’ve gotta be doing Annabeth flashbacks (because that’s what fits sea of monsters best) which not only means babybeth but also that we would get meet Thalia sooner so then they can cast Thalia and have her in it for more than a hot two seconds at the end. Since she’s supposed to be around the same age between her “death” and return.
#I’m begging for this to happen#also means that we would get a baby Annabeth and I can’t wait to see tiny Annabeth#percy jackson season 2#if they gonna be changing shit this is what they need to do#it’s a need not a want#percy jackon and the olympians#Percy Jackson#thalia grace#annabeth chase#percy jackson casting#sea of monsters#percabeth#annabeth thalia and Luke#babybeth#minibeth#need the backstory of these baby runaways#like minibeth is already so adorable#like can you imagine even minier mini#also can’t wait to call her pinecone face to her face

I keep seeing people posting that they want to see how Agatha got the darkhold in season 2. And, okay, yes I also would like to see that. BUT I know that they'll end up doing it in a way that permanently erases agents of shield and/or runaways from MCU canon and idk if my heart can handle that

Is this a college application? Doesn't that require you actually finishing high school? I can finish online, or get my GED. I don't know. It's not all figured out yet, but I think I need this. How'd you even get an application? We don't even have a mailbox. My library card still works. So, what? You're just gonna leave us? I mean, where is this Smith, anyways? Massachusetts. You can come with me, and then when I'm 18 I can legally adopt you. And what about Chase? I mean, he spends 70% of his time shirtless, and isn't New England cold? Yeah, well, uh, we're just trying to see if there even is a Chase-Gert, Gert-Chase, cute nickname pending, relationship worth moving anywhere. He hasn't forgiven you for blindsiding him at the hospital? I was gonna find a more nuanced way to say that, but... no. No, he hasn't.

Episode 5 of Loki Season 2 was pretty good but all I could think about for half of it was Donna’s line in Doctor Who The Runaway Bride, “I’m a pencil inside a mug?”

My favourite characters in various tier lists because i don’t want to art and am instead obsessing over blorbos
How likely they would survive Hunger Games:

How long they would survive in Sky COTL’s Eye Of Eden:

How useful would they be in an Ender Dragon fight

How likely they would survive Sky COTL’s Golden Wasteland:

If you’re curious how I ranked the characters don’t be afraid to ask/send me an ask or DM :)
Will do more, stay tuned ig

Steward stands there, paralysed, unable to tear their eyes away from the sight in front of them as their phantom heart breaks in their hollow chest. The village — the lovely, colourful village, filled with people who believe, despite everything, in a brighter future, who are ready to fight for it, who never give up and never break — the village is empty and dark and awfully quiet.
you can read the fic here on ao3 or below the cut
Their feet settle on the ground as they slowly open their eyes, unfocused but neither wet nor dry. It’s strange, in a way, how light their body is: after what seemed like an eternity spent feeling as cold and numb as a stone statue, the weight of their limbs is almost non-existent now.
There’s a warmth spreading across their whole body right from the middle of their chest, where their heart used to be, to the fingertips, which once bent elegantly without barely any effort from their part. A lot has changed since then.
A quick glance over their hands and the rest of what they would’ve called their body before leaves them with a twinge of pain in their chest. But their chest is hollow; heartache is no more than a phantom pain. They hold onto this ache, a reminder and proof that they used to be alive before becoming a shadow of themself.
They don’t remember their name, but it’s not that important: they can make up a new one. And yet, the absence of a word to describe themself leaves their mind clouded, as if they aren’t sure who they’re supposed to be. Or maybe they’re just not fully awake yet.
Maybe they’ll never be.
The fog in their head and eyes slowly starts to disappear, and they’re finally able to discern the person in front of them. It’s a child, shorter and visibly younger than them, a child who’s alive and who’s holding a candle in their hands.
A lit candle.
Light.
They want to dance and sing and cry all at once at this thought even before they can understand what caused this whirlwind of emotions. They look at the child with what they assume is a silly expression but they’re unable to wash the smile off their face. They need to tell everyone.
They turn back to see the closed gate of the village. Of course. Everyone. How could they forget? There are people waiting for them, people waiting for light. They’ll be so, so happy when they find out there’s a child with a mighty flame burning inside them! They’ll all be so happy, and the village will flourish, and there’ll be no crying and morning anymore. Everything will finally be over. Everything will finally begin.
They call to the child as they start running towards the gate. They notice halfway through that the newcomer hasn’t moved an inch: they just stand there, confused and maybe a little bit scared.
One more call, accompanied by a hand gesture this time, and the child of light slowly makes their way towards the village door. Their movements are clumsy and unsure, and they’re startled when they’re taken by the hand and led all the way to the gate.
The child isn’t young, they realise as they watch them activate the door. They’ve just fallen from the sky and have never seen anyone — or anything — before.
Steward carefully adjusts the child’s hands at the darkstone mechanism, guiding the flame towards the right spot. The gate opens, and Steward runs inside, excited and anxious at the same time, only to stop abruptly once they reach the stairs.
The village — the lovely, colourful village, filled with people who believe, despite everything, in a brighter future, who are ready to fight for it, who never give up and never break — the village is empty and dark and awfully quiet.
Only the wind hums its sorrowful melodies.
They lost.
Steward stands there, paralysed, unable to tear their eyes away from the sight in front of them as their phantom heart breaks in their hollow chest.
They have seen people die. They have seen people succumb to despair. They have seen people leave.
And yet it makes their non-existent lungs tighten and their empty eyes water.
They’re aware of the fact that the child has moved to stand by their side, probably eyeing them with curiosity and a total lack of understanding of Steward’s behaviour. They’re aware but can’t fully process it, their mind both empty and swarming with racing thoughts.
They lost.
They want to scream. They want to kick something. They want to lie down and cry for the rest of their pathetic excuse of a happily ever after.
But they don’t do either of those things. They don’t even allow themself to shed a tear — there’s a child that’s alive and waiting for them. They’ll think about themself later.
They’ll have to work with what they have, even if it’s not much.
They’ll figure it out. They must.
Hopeful Steward gulps and smiles to the little child, brushing all their thoughts and feelings aside where they can’t distract them.
“It’ll be alright,” they choke out despite knowing that the child can’t understand their words.
The newcomer looks at the village, and Hopeful Steward forces themself to turn around again, too. There’s a bleak blueish glow on the pathway between the houses, not unlike a reflection of the bright yellow light coming from the child.
It’s their turn to accept an offered hand.
When the husk turns into a person — Steward doesn’t have the courage to call a beloved friend a ghost, so they reserve this word for themself for the time being — they squeeze their hands as hard as they can, and it almost feels like they’re corporeal again.
Hopeful Steward points at the child of light, not trusting themself to speak. Rhythm, Megabird bless them, understands immediately, like they always did, and the three of them hurry up into the closest building to test how powerful the newcomer’s flame is.
***
It’s more powerful than any of them could’ve ever hoped for.
Hopeful Steward looks around what’s left of the village while Rhythm combs the child’s hair as a form of gratitude. Rhythm has always been nice like this, offering people things every time they could.
Steward remembers now. Not everything — many details will take their time to come back to them — but enough to feel like themself again. Or at least as close to themself as they can, now that the world — their world — is being gradually brought back from the dead.
Nothing will ever be the same, Hope thinks as the child lights the candles and birds start flying above the houses, singing quietly and causing the fog to dissipate. They give themself permission to cry a little while looking at the sky. They can blame the sun if someone sees the tears on their cheeks.
They have no idea what they’re going to do. The reasonable thing would be to restore the village and try to live here all together like they always wanted to, except it’s not possible.
Not while the whole kingdom is crying for help. Not while it’s covered in darkness and soaked with despair. Not while there are trapped souls to be freed and tears to be wiped.
The sound of chalk on the stone wall fades, and the child looks at the mural with curiosity, their head tilted slightly to the side. Hopeful Steward doesn’t know if their stories and scribbles were any good, but they did what they could.
They wonder if it’s enough.
The child disappears in the first portal, leaving a painfully empty space behind. They’re already like a friend to them, despite how short they’ve known each other for. Hope closes their eyes and listens to the birds, a reminder and proof that the world used to be alive before becoming a shadow of itself.
They remember the name of the village. They remember their friends. They remember who they were and still are fighting for, dead or alive, sealed in stone or free. They remember who they are and what they chose to do all those years ago, what they’ll choose to do over and over again.
Hopeful Steward starts humming an old tune and spinning slowly, as if dancing to a melody only they can hear, while the bells ring out in the distance announcing the advent of the long-awaited morning.
They have seen people die. They have seen people succumb to despair. They have seen people leave.
And now, they have seen people come back.

Another Leonel drawing. This one is quite nice; calming sort of. I guess?
((I didn't put that much shading detail though.))
To add Context:
After the 'incident' (with JC) STELL LEONEL and the others go to the city to hide out. This is all I'm allowing myself to say but DAREON-JAMES and STELL are getting along again and this is just them two.
((JUST TO BE CLEAR: DJ IS ON THE LEFT AND STELL IS ON THE RIGHT. This is not going to be put in the series until Season 2 but I have so many ideas of scenes I'm not at yet.))
Here is the scene I doodled on paper (which I used as reference)

Also if you're seeing this, and you like looking through small details, I do tend to scatter some small amounts of Info/lore in my posts/drawings. Here's one: under Stell's hair in the first photo (digitally drawn) you can see a part of a bruise he has, it's not a shading. There is more tiny stuff like that in other posts related to this Story.
