Iron flame and Onyx storm spoilers/ theory

Idk if you can actually call it a theory because it’s sort of confirmed to an extent and anything I have to add might just make me sound illiterate but oh well…

Anyways I was rereading iron flame and noticed this line from one of the assembly peoples with the cadets arrive at Aretia

And I know it’s been confirmed that a large part of the rebellion kids have second signets. But the OG theory was that it’s through their relics, but onyx storm xaden says it’s because many of the dragons bonded descendants.

But this person says rebellion signets instead of relics being the thing that hides them… and personally that just makes me think that all of them have second signets and it actually is through their relics.

I regularly think about how Sloane new about what happened to in Resson.

And the more I think about it, the more I can only accept that xaden was the one to tell her.

I just imagine him flying out to wherever she’s fostered on his way to his duty station immediately after graduation. Telling her everything because he can’t not tell her everything. He probably blamed himself, not Violet, but Sloane probably couldn’t bring herself to blame him, but Sorrengail was easier for her to blame.

I firmly believe that Navarre leadership created the signet and dragon bond cutting serum specifically because they were terrified of how well the marked ones were doing in the quadrant. Like they weren’t going to use those on the gryphon fliers. The people with dragons that were in their own country and they new they fucked up with that conscription law.

This boy is Tired of the marked ones shenanigans… he spends half the book trying to reign in Sloane who is the opposite of her brother and extremely impulsive full of rage, attitude and impulsive.

The other half doing quest squad shit.

Then he he spends half the battle of Draithus watching them whip out second signets left and right and just having to go …. “Ok so we’ll talk later” BECAUSE HE’S STILL TRYING TO CHASE DOWN SLOANE.
