i think there’s something to be said about how the gig economy makes things ostensibly more convenient but also worse. and not just like, doordash guys take too long to get to you so your food is cold. but because the business model is centered around a million people doing work without any familiarity with what theyre doing and decentralized from the businesses they’re working with, you get service that’s being reinvented from scratch every time it’s purchased.

it happens all the time that I’ll order an uber and when they pick me up, they’ll just stop in the middle of the street with their hazards on, making me dodge traffic to get to them and pissing off the cars around them. and then I’ll get in the car and chat with the driver and find out they’re actually from two counties over and they’ve never driven here before, so they don’t know where parking is or whether they’re heading to a wide open parking lot or a busy downtown. and then you start to realize that they’re not being a dick, they’re just given as little information as possible every time they pick up a ride so they have to just guess how and where to pick up a passenger. and since they’re paid by ride, they’re incentivized to pick you up as fast as possible. and all the people who cared about finding a safe place to pick you up quit the app or stopped doing that so all you’re left with is the pissed off cockroach motherfuckers.

and then you see that this happens with every fucking app. doordash sucks because you pay 8 million dollars for delivery and you still have to hike half a mile to find the guy because he got lost in your apartment complex. Instacart sucks because the guy picking your groceries couldn’t care less about getting ripe fruit and replaces your heavy cream with shaving cream. customer support for all this sucks because the guy helping you can’t do anything more than offer you $5 credit, beg for your forgiveness, and hope you get out of the queue fast enough for him to go to the bathroom. because all of them aren’t given enough time to do a good job or enough money to care.

and every time a gig worker makes the experience suck for you, it’s a rational decision. they’re evaluating the money they’re being paid and if it’s worth getting paid less to do a good job, and correctly deciding that it isn’t. so you can’t even get mad, because you’d do it too. and so the company manages to pass on its race to the bottom to its lowest-paid employees.

Whether you’re an artist, author, beta, or mod, we expect you to be respectful of other participants and your teammate.

Anyone who was banned from the previous round cannot participate. Disappearing on a teammate and the mods is rude!

You must be an adult to participate. Sorry, it's just easier to handle. We plan to stay here for a while, though, so don't worry. If you're turning 18 during the schedule, hit us up and we'll talk about your participation!

Respect your deadlines, including submissions, check-ins, messages from your teammate or from the mods.

Check-ins are COMPULSORY. You will have between 48 and 72 hours to complete them. While an extension can be requested, missing them will result in a ban - and good luck explaining this to your team mate.

Deadlines are flexible with enough notice. Fandom is meant for fun and sometimes real life gets in the way of our creative fan works. Be considerate of your teammate in this regard as well: make sure to communicate with them about their workload, timezone and time availability. 

Reach out to mods when an issue comes up - we are here to help you. 

If you have limited internet connection, such as relying on libraries/offices or cafes and need extra time to respond, please let the mods know that upon signing up, so we can make a note of that.

Rules for interacting with Phantom

1. Don’t go looking for him. Phantom knows when someone is looking for him and will avoid you at all costs.

2. It’s suggested to learn a little sign language since Phsntom with randomly switch from English to ghost speak. This change seems uncomfortable in most cases and causes him distress when he can’t communicate what he’s trying to say.

3. If he picks you up or grabs your hand and starts pulling on you, don’t freak out. He’s trying to move you out of harm’s way. Follow him until he lets go.

4. If he approaches you at night and asks if he can stargaze with you, say yes. You won’t be in trouble if you say no, but we’re trying to get him used to humans.

5. If you spot him, don’t go out of your way to approach him. He doesn’t like that. He’ll notice you coming.

6. If you spot him and he’s near something you need, such as the entrance to your workplace or your campfire, simply say hi to him and continue to avoid startling him. He’s been reported to conjure up ice spikes from the ground around him or shoot ectoplasm when he’s startled, so avoid doing so if you can.

7. If you notice the Fentons near where Phantom is, try to redirect them. Phantom is our only real line of defense against other ghosts who want to cause harm.

8. If you hear a loud, haunting wail, don’t worry. That’s possibly Phantom’s most powerful weapon, and it’s highly effective against other ghosts. This is usually taken as a sign that the town is now safe again. Do not approach Phantom after he uses this power unless you want to get punched in the face. This power takes up most of his strength and leaves him vulnerable, which makes him extra cautious and scared of both humans and ghosts. If he’s injured and you want to help, it’s best to go in preparing for retaliation. (Extra warning: Phantom’s saliva contains ectoplasm, which is essentially acid for anything living. Be VERY careful, because he will try to bite as a last resort. Try to make sure he knows you’re there to help before touching him.)

9. If you’re a ghost hunter and you harm Phantom, and you hear a loud groan in the distance that oddly reminds you of a broken grandfather clock, apologize and do what you can to fix your mistake immediately. Phantom isn’t all alone. He has allies, and some of them, you never want to meet.

10. If he approaches you and strikes up conversation, it’s your choice to respond or not.

Hey everyone, I thought it would be a good idea to establish some ground rules to guide interactions on here so without further ado: 1) I get to change and or ignore my own rules as and when I like. It's my blog so tough. 2) I won't even consider answering an ask unless it meets the following criteria: a) I haven't been asked it before on Tumblr. b) It is worded as a question. c) It does not ask me to rule on canon for content I make. d) It does not ask for takes on real people. e) It has a positive tone (seeking to become positive counts) f) It is not a callout (e.g. why are you so rubbish etc.) g) It is not asking for confidential information on business and/or Intellectual property h) It is not just rephrasing a previous question because people didn't like the answer. i) It's respectful. j) It is not just a veiled story request (e.g. why don't you make these characters kiss etc.) 3) This is not a press conference or an interrogation. Minimum super licence age

Verstappen joined Toro Rosso at the age of 16 and successfully obtaining his super licence in time for the 2015 season. But in January of that year, the FIA brought in new regulations which forced new drivers to be 18 years of age and hold a valid driving licence before they could obtain a super licence.

Moving under braking

At the 2016 Japanese Grand Prix, Verstappen avoided punishment for moving under braking while defending from Lewis Hamilton, despite the Mercedes driver needing to take evasive action. The FIA subsequently banned drivers from changing direction under braking while defending - although the rule is subjective and therefore isn't applied in all situations.

Unsportsmanlike behaviour clarifications

The FIA issued a clarification on regulations surrounding unsportsmanlike behaviour and physical altercations after an incident between Verstappen and Esteban Ocon following the 2018 Brazilian Grand Prix.

Overtaking and defending guidelines

Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton had a fierce on-track battle at the 2021 Brazilian Grand Prix, with the Dutchman forcing Hamilton off the track on more than one occasion. Subsequently, the FIA decided to issue a new guideline for defending, which stated that if an overtaking car is 'significantly alongside, the defending driver must leave at least one car's width of space'.

Parc ferme guidelines

After the Grand Prix, cameras caught Verstappen inspecting Hamilton's rear wing in parc ferme conditions - which was prohibited. He was given a €50,000 fine by the FIA, who subsequently enhanced security measures and monitoring for upcoming Grands Prix and warned that drivers who breached the regulations in future could receive time penalties.

Post-race celebration guidelines

The FIA released new guidelines surrounding post-race dangerous driving after Verstappen performed burnouts across the line to celebrate his victory at the 2021 Styrian Grand Prix. Drivers now must travel safely back to the pit lane after finishing each Grand Prix and cannot endanger other drivers.

Pit lane guidelines

Drivers were told they could not cross any part of their car over the pit exit line while rejoining the circuit. Verstappen did so during the race but escaped a penalty. In future, however, any violation would cause a driver to be sanctioned.

New safety car rule

After the 2022 Saudi Arabia Grand Prix, the FIA intervened after Verstappen pulled up alongside Charles Leclerc before a safety car restart. A clarification was added to the rulebook which stated that drivers could not have any part of their car alongside another car before the safety car restart line.

Track limits clarification

After Verstappen overtook Kimi Raikkonen while off the track to finish third in the 2017 United States Grand Prix - he was subsequently penalised and demoted to fourth - the FIA released a new clarification for track limits. Track limits would subsequently be defined by white lines, with that particular rule being refined and adjusted over time.

Minimum super licence age update

While the original rule stated that drivers had to be 18 years of age, the FIA added a discretion to the wording - which they likely would have applied had Verstappen been in such a situation in 2015. Following an application from Mercedes to allow Kimi Antonelli - who is 17 - to drive in practice at this year's Italian Grand Prix, the rule now states: 'At the sole discretion of the FIA, a driver judged to have recently and consistently demonstrated outstanding ability and maturity in single-seater formula car competition may be granted a super licence at the age of 17 years old'.

3. watch it again. over and over and over... (there's no reason you shouldn't experience that same pleasure again and again. every time, you fall deeper and deeper into submission!)

4. incorporate your triggers into the experience, or learn a new trigger from the experience (because what's more exciting than one little noise, word, touch or suggestion being enough to make you completely lose yourself?)

5. interact with the creator directly! show love, offer support, give feedback. thank them, profess your devotion to them, worship them. (anyone who can make you feel that good deserves it, right?)
