RUCY’S VANITY SKINCARE AND MAKE UP HAUL + REVIEW
I’m pretty sure you’ve already binge- watched some Korean dramas on your free time or most especially last vacation, but, have you ever wondered how ~ good ~ Korean skin is? Me myself wanted to achieve that kind of flawless and fresh look but I struggled on finding a Korean cosmetic brand that can satisfy my cravings for Korean skincare and makeup and at the same time, a brand that fits my budget and doesn’t hurt my wallet. But thank God for Instagram, I was able to discover Rucy’s Vanity. Rucy’s Vanity is the only Korean cosmetic brand that offers high quality cosmetics in a more reasonable price for Fiipinas. Their products come in variety of different skin care, body care and cosmetics.
Is it safe? Yes. All products are certified from the Korea Food and Drug Administration and Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA) They sent me their best selling products for me to review them. So here we go! Disclaimer: Sponsored or not, I give my 100% honest opinions based on my experience. S K I N C A R E Rucy’s Vanity Whitening Serum To use: After toning, put a small amount of on the palm and rub gently on the face and neck. What it says: Formulated for all skin types, Perfect whitening formula, contains Vitamin E and collagen, whitening & moisturizing. It contains 60 ml. What I say: As for the packaging, it’s a small bottle with pump which is very minimal yet classy. I find this super convenient & travel friendly because it can fit every pouch you have. When it comes to the smell, it’s like a perfume- ish type of smell and it smells really good. The serum’s texture is watery I need to keep rubbing my fingers on my face in order to absorb it properly. I usually apply this whitening serum after I take a bath-- day and night; 1 pump is enough for the whole face. I also use this as a moisturizer/ make up base. Though I got small bumps on my cheeks the day after I first used it, I guess it’s normal because my face is still adjusting to the product itself. I noticed that my skin got one shade lighter the week after, and it somehow solved my only concern which is my uneven skin tone.
Pros: Packaging Pleasant smell Lightened my skin 1 shade lighter Cons: Liquidy texture Doesn’t absorb quickly to the face
M A K E U P Rucy’s Vanity Whitening Effect Mineral Two Way Cake SPF35 PA++ To use: Apply smoothly and evenly on your face and blend with puff. What it says: Has protection from UV rays with whitening effect. Combined with the goodness of foundation and powder in one. Product is 12 grams. What I say: I am so in love with this product! I replaced my L’Oréal True Match Micro Perfecting Powder Foundation with this one. I’m in the shade #21 Natural Beige but I believe they have 2 shades for this, namely #21 Natural Beige and #23 Dark Beige. As for the packaging, I like how the powder is compact because it has a mirror and contains a puff inside. What makes it hygienic is the divider between the puff and the powder itself which is a big thumbs up for me. It has light to medium coverage, so it’s perfect for an everyday basis. I usually use this at school with a powder brush because it’s feels lightweight and It doesn’t cake— it just gives my face a natural look. The only downside is it transfers easily, so if I’m gonna use this I have to be very careful because it may stain my clothes.
Pros: Hygienic packaging Light to medium coverage Matte finish Flawless, natural look Doesn’t look cakey Long lasting Cons: Tranfers easily
Rucy’s Vanity Liquid Eyeliner To use: Draw a line with a single quick stroke, from the inner to outer corner of the eye. What it says: Contains 7ml. Long lasting Water-proof eyeliner with deep black pigmentation that last whole day without smudging. What I say: I’m not a fan of this product simply because I suck at putting eyeliners. Haha. I tried it once and it’s quite pigmented, plus it is smudge proof. I kind of struggled with the tip because it’s too thin for me. It is also easy to remove with makeup remover, unlike any other liquid eyeliners that take ages in order to be fully removed. Overall, I recommend this eyeliner especially if you’re the type of girl who does winged eyeliner often. Pros: Long lasting Smudge proof Pigmented Simple packaging No unpleasant smell Cons: Thin tip Kind of liquidy
Rucy’s Vanity Lip and Cheek Red What it says: Contains green tea and collagen, moisturizing. What I say: Honestly, I was shookt on this product’s consistency since it is sticky. Most cheek and lip tints are liquidy and I find this very unusual.. but unique. It kind of reminds of the Ever Bilena’s cheek and lip tint. The pigmentation is not that excellent but okay. One squeeze of this product goes a long way. It turns into pink once you applied it on your lips and gives it a glossy finish. It isn’t long lasting, though, so I have to reapply every now and then. One thing I don’t like about this is that it’s hard to blend on the cheeks, you have to be quick or else you’ll look like you’ve been slapped by someone. Haha!
Pros: Packaging ( very convenient!) No unpleasant smell One squeeze goes a long way Better on the lips Cons: Sticky Doesn’t last for hours Hard to blend on the cheeks
Rucy’s Vanity Gleamy Lavish Waterproof Mascara To use: Apply brush to root of lashes and sweep from root to tip in zig motion. What I say: As for the packaging, it comes with a box then the mascara which I find simple. There are no ingredients indicated on the product itself so it looks pretty clean. I like how the wand of this mascara is long it can coat enough each lash making it appear lengthy and full of volume. It’s also buildable, so I can put as many coats as I want without it looking too clumpy and dry. It doesn’t have an unpleasant smell at all. Product contains 7 ml.
Pros: Doesn’t clump Long wand Sweatproof Cons: None
MY OVER ALL LOOK USING RUCY’S VANITY MAKE UP PRODUCTS
So.. that is it for this review! Before I go, I just want to thank Rucy’s Vanity for giving me this opportunity. Thank you for your generosity! I really appreciated it. If you are interested about their products, just go to Rucysvanityph.com and tadaaaa! Thank you for reading :)

Rucy’s Vanity: A Review
Disclaimer: The products mentioned below are sponsored by Rucy’s Vanity. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
Korean makeup has been all the rave these days, and I’m a huge fan of it. I admired the natural and glowing look that Koreans are rocking on all the famous K-drama shows. Since then, I’ve been on the lookout for K-beauty products that can do the job but still stay within my budget.
So when I heard about Rucy’s Vanity, I got really excited to try the makeup products from their line since not only were their products of high quality, but these were also really affordable! Rucy’s Vanity is an online Korean makeup brand based here in the Philippines, and they’re pretty much known for selling Korean cosmetics that is budget-friendly for Filipinas like me! They were kind enough to send me some of their products and I’m here to tell you my thoughts on them.

Moisturizing and smooths out texture

A hand swatch of the Rucy’s Vanity Lip and Cheek Tint
The first time I tried their Lip and Cheek tint, I was surprised at how pigmented it was. A little really goes a long way with this one. The swatch above was just from one tiny squeeze of the tube, and as you can see, it’s already enough to use for both your cheeks and lips. I found the formula too sticky for my liking, and I had a hard time blending them onto my cheeks, but it worked way better when I applied it onto my lips. It does claim to be moisturizing, and after a few uses I did see that it was. It wasn’t drying like other lip and cheek tints that I’ve tried, which made the product really good especially for its price.
I think that this lip and cheek tint isn’t really for achieving the no-makeup makeup look since it’s really pigmented, though do think it’s perfect for achieving the famous drunk blush look or looks that are a little bit bolder than your usual everyday look. But if you’re a fan of pigmented lip and cheek tints, I recommend this one from Rucy’s Vanity.
Rucy’s Vanity Liquid Eyeliner (₱ 160.00) and Gleamy Lavish Water Proof Mascara ( ₱ 180.00)
Rucy's Vanity Liquid Eyeliner
Product Description:
Long lasting
Water-proof eyeliner with deep black pigmentation that last whole day without smudging
Made in Korea
I am a HUGE fan of their liquid eyeliner. I don’t really have a steady hand when it comes to applying it, and I haven’t found a good eyeliner that is easy to work with. But this one from Rucy’s Vanity is DEFINITELY a must-have for your kikay kit. Not only is it very easy to apply, but its brush is really thin, making it perfect for achieving the Korean tightlining look. When I opened the product, I also immediately noticed that it kind of smelled like chocolate, which I really loved!
After wearing it for an entire day, it does prove that it is long lasting and also smudge-proof. It’s also easy to remove and only takes a few swipes of makeup wipes to erase it.
Rucy's Vanity Gleamy Lavish Waterproof Mascara
Product Description:
Hypo-allergenic
Sweat resistant
Water-proof mascara that natural coats each lash making it appear longer and volumized
Protects lashes and lock in moisture.
Made in Korea
Their waterproof mascara was also good! Although I found a little bit of clumping at first, it can easily be removed by repeated brushing using the spoolie. It also has a very natural look while still leaving the eyes looking bolder and brighter. At the end of the day, I surprisingly did not have raccoon eyes, which was a super thumbs up!
Even if it claims to be waterproof, I didn’t have a hard time removing it at all! It was really easy to remove with only the use of makeup wipes, and it didn’t need much tugging and repeated wiping to erase.
Rucy’s Vanity Two Way Cake SPF 35 (₱250.00)
Product Description:
Combines the goodness of foundation and powder in one with added protection from UV rays with whitening effect.
Whitening
Stay matte all day
Non-cakey
UV Protection
Non-clogging
Made in Korea
Available Shades:
#21 Natural Beige
#23 Dark Beige
How to use: Apply smoothly and evenly to your face and blend with puff.
I’m really a fan of natural makeup looks, and this one from Rucy’s Vanity is definitely a must-have for me. They got me the shade #21 Natural Beige, and it was the perfect shade for my skin tone. I was really surprised by the packaging when I opened it, since it resembled a cushion. It was really light-weight and it’s perfect for everyday use. The plus side of it is that it’s already a foundation and pressed powder all in one, but I think that it can also be used to set your foundation. But the downside to it is that it’s not really that long-lasting, so you have to reapply it throughout the day.
Rucy’s Vanity Whitening Body Lotion in Acacia ( ₱ 120.00)
Product Description:
Makes your skin whiten, soft and elastic.
Protect your skin from free radicals, contaminations and irritations.
Contains extracts of aloe vera, portulaca, moraceae, centella and green tea to calm and soothe skin.
Made in Korea
Available variants:
Acacia ( Fresh clean scent)
Cactus (Mild aloe scent)
Tropical fruits (Sweet fruity Scent)
I love their whitening body lotion. This one is in Acacia, and it smells fantastic. It reminds me of trees and flowers; the kind that you smell when going for a walk in the garden. When I first applied the product onto my skin, I instantly thought, “Oh, this one’s going to be sticky for sure,” and boy was I proven wrong! It dried up quickly after a few seconds of application, and it literally feels like you didn’t even put the product on. I almost completely forgot that I even applied it, but then the scent reminded me that I did. I was amazed since not a lot of body lotions can do that, and they usually leave this sticky feeling onto your skin. I highly recommend getting this body lotion because not only is it whitening and moisturizing, it’s also super affordable! 10/10! :)
So, overall, what do I think about the Rucy’s Vanity makeup products? I honestly really love what they have to offer! I was amazed that something so cheap and affordable can come in such a high quality, and also have a great range of choices. I definitely recommend trying out their stuff!

Rucy's Vanity BB Cream & Whitening Serum
I've never been a fan of make-ups, BUT I am a big fan of concealers and anything that could conceal my stressed and blemish-rich face. I do not know which brands actually work, but I did learn from a friend that the best make up to conceal all those unwanted marks on your face is MAC.
As we all know, MAC is somewhat expensive. For people like me who always work on a tight budget, MAC cannot be on my regular kikay stuff to buy list. So, I searched and scouted around for more affordable brands and I came across this:
Rucy's Vanity BB Gleamy Whitening Cream
It's a Korean brand that slowly infiltrating the Philippine market. I think it's better than most foreign brands reason being is Asian made which means it suits the Asian skin better. No oily feeling after use PLUS it's really cheap!
I'm not good at describing stuff, but here are some photos of the before and after use:
My face right after shower & dressing up.
After applying Rucy's Vanity BB Cream
And after dabbing some face powder :)
Voila!
It also helps when you use it together with their whitening serum (which you can also use for you underarm)
I got them both for roughly Php400 or less. They also have a lot of other products (lotions, make ups) and if you are a kikay on a tight budget, I suggest you try Rucy's Vanity. :D
Check their Facebook: Rucy's Vanity
PS. I'll their new CC Cream soon!
