a system for categorising gays

so I’ve noticed that a lot of gay ships (way more than klance ok) seem to have one person often red (clothes, aesthetic, personality, whatever) and one person blue. and ones that don’t explicitly have that can still be categorised in that way

(personally I think it’s a cool system because it’s not gender or sexuality specific. you can be nb, you can be bi or pan or lesbian idc)

so are you a red gay or a blue gay? who in your otps is red, who is blue?
