Real leadership produces real change through inspiration.

Unfortunately, the leadership industry tends to be oblivious to moral power. As a result, the upper echelons of most organizations are filled with managers who are called leaders because they hold a position of authority. Most are not leaders; they are managers. The developmental emphasis is on knowing and doing. This does not turn managers into leaders

Moral leadership is tied to virtue.

There are hundreds of virtues, including patience, decisiveness, conviction, humility, self-reliance, unity, engagement, mindfulness, joyfulness, sacrifice, and so on. Moral leadership begins when one person exhibits one or more virtues at an unconventional level. This gives rise to something scientists call idealized influence. The virtuous behavior inspires unconventional outcomes, including regular people exhibiting “passionate, unsolicited behaviors.”

The outcomes include a change in the followers. When a “regular person” follows a moral leader and willingly engages in extremely virtuous behavior producing an unconventional outcome, they discover a newly emerging “best self.” This creates further enlightenment. The follower becomes an empowered and empowering leader.

This is why I stay, feeling inspired and how the direction, with my intention that precedes its matching action, is so important to me, my vision, and my partners.

We won't always stand above, but the times we fall short, we will work tirelessly, to an exhaustive level to bring us, at least back to an even kiln.

Warranties are for just that specific reason, the inevitable times we have to revisit a project to make right. . .some things that did not stand the test of time. However rare those times are, they do happen occasionally.

What's important to you?

I value quality for good reason, and my past experiences always, and I mean always, reflect this, even when it's a call back to action.

Always.

Fence is my life.

I don't have any nonsensical delusions of being a billionaire, but millions in revenue is easily doable with the form of honest integrity we want to bring to the table to follow said quality.

It makes our fence character a step above the rest, for sure.

I may not know thousands of people, nor am I perfect, but ask around first, and then "inquire within."

I love the fact that our work ethic and personable attitudes speak for themselves, and that they are a direct reflection of what we stand for, here at Pride Fence.

i mean, i know i kept apologizing for having insulted you when i said "ikaw, anong ambag mo?" because i didn't want any more misunderstandings to happen but if you will believe me and allow me to explain my side, those words weren't really intended to insult you

what i wanted to imply was that, was their point valid? regardless kung may ambag sila at anuman sila o sinuman sila, was their point valid? sa show, napapahiya ba talaga 'yung mga taong inaakusahan? ☹ hindi ba sila nabibigyan ng chance to defend themselves?

sabi mo palusot lang ako, puro pag-deny, plastic, at robot ang tingin sa mga tao sa show... pa, i also felt hurt. i feel hurt when you dismiss me as palusot at sinungaling. ☹ i don't know what to do, pa. i really didn't say it to insult you, but i'm a liar in your eyes. ☹

i want to understand you... to see things from your perspective. i want to accept your thoughts and feelings and beliefs. i don't want you to feel hurt especially because i didn't intentionally say those words to hurt you but i don't know what to do. i feel compelled to defend myself which made things worse for us ☹

i hope one day you can try to hear me out ☹ i hope you won't accuse me anymore in the future ☹ i hope you can stop to ask, "what do you mean by that?" i hope you can give me a chance to explain before feeling hurt from your interpretation of what i said ☹

The Champions | Chap. 4

Series Summary: Y/N, who transferred to Beauxbâtons in her fifth year, is the Triwizard Champion, not Fleur Delacour. What will happen when Cedric Diggory and her fall for each other? (I’m making Y/N a transfer student because not all readers will be French!)

Chapter Summary: Rita Skeeter’s article about the Triwizard Champions leads Y/N and Cedric to question the status of their friendship.

“I’ll tell you when her article comes out and you tell me what you would have said. Deal?”

Cedric’s words had been lurking in Y/N’s head for the past week, every so often coming out to either scare her or excite her. Rita had bluntly asked Cedric if he had a crush on Y/N during their interview and he hadn’t had a chance to answer her - Y/N didn’t know whether to be glad about that or not. Afterwards, she asked him what he would have said, and that was what he had responded with. 

Y/N already knew her answer - she did like Cedric. How could she not? He was charming, gorgeous, kind-hearted, brave, and he didn't let anyone get away with anything - not letting his friends continue with the “Potter STINKS” badges and backing Y/N up as she battled the monster that was Rtia Skeeter. He was supportive and fair and a great listener - he was the dream guy! As close to a fairytale prince that one could get - and he didn’t even try to be like that! 

What would either scare or excite her each time she’d remember his words was his answer. Did he like her? Or did he merely think of her as a friend? The latter was heartbreaking to think about, but Y/N also didn’t want to have false hopes. 

This was exactly what she was going back and forth with as she walked into the Great Hall for breakfast, a week after their interview with Rita. As she walked inside, she saw a cluster of students around the Hufflepuff and Gryffindor tables. She couldn’t help but gaze at that in interest, but decided that it must be the Hogwarts students talking about their Champions - Cedric and Harry. 

Y/N just went to go to the Ravenclaw table, aka the one where the Beauxbatons students sat at, and immediately some of the Beaxubatons girls came running up to her. Before Y/N could ask why, a newspaper got hovered into her hands. She glanced down, intending to glance back up at them and ask them why they were giving her this, when the headline caught her attention. 

THE TRIWIZARD CHAMPIONS TELL ALL! 

Y/N became frantic and scanned it until she found the section she didn’t know she was searching for - a paragraph that talked about her and Cedric. 

“There seems to be love in the air, folks! Something seems to be happening between CEDRIC DIGGORY, one of the Hogwarts Champions, and Y/N Y/L/N, the Beauxbatons Champion, for Mr. Diggory was quite vocal in standing up for Ms. Y/L/N who faced my tough questions. Dare I say Mr Diggory was protective towards Ms. Y/L/N, not letting me ask a single question without commenting! They’re meant to be rivals, as are their schools in this TriWizard Tournament, but could they be pulling a Romeo and Juliet on us? Supposed rivalry, destined love? Let’s just hope no one dies at the end like of the Romeo and Juliet tale! (This is referencing Muggle writing, for you Purebloods and Half-bloods!)”

The first thing that hit Y/N was Rita’s lies. Standing up for Y/N? No, no, no. He let her do the talking against Rita’s sexist questions and he just backed her up. Not letting Rita ask a single question without commenting? Obvious NO! The second thing that hit Y/N was how she remembered her and Cedric’s deal. 

When the article came out, he’d tell her if he had a crush on her and she’d tell him. 

Realizing she hadn’t said anything to her classmates, Y/N thanked them and gave them back the newspaper. She turned around to the Hufflepuff section to find Cedric, only to see that he had already been looking at her! The tall student was standing behind another Hufflepuff who was holding the newspaper out. 

Y/N blushed - he had already been looking at her! Cedric flashed her a grin with his pearly white teeth, said something to the others, and met Y/N halfway to his house’s table.

“Hi,” Cedric said, his grin never leaving his face. 

“Hi,” Y/N returned, also smiling. What could she say? His happiness was contagious. 

“We had a deal,” Cedric recalled, his grin turning into a smirk. Merlin’s Beard, he towered over her, he was so tall!

Y/N nodded. “That we did. If I recall correctly, you were supposed to go first, Mr. Diggory,” she said, mocking Rita Skeeter’s writing.

Cedric let out a laugh before biting his lip. “This was why I wasn’t sorted into Gryffindor,” he muttered out quietly and quickly, eyes on the ground until he finally brought himself to meet her eyes. 

“You’re amazing, Y/N,” the brunette boy began, blushing himself. “I noticed you when your school first entered the Great Hall - I just didn’t have the courage to talk to you . . . I do like you. I like you a lot.” 

Y/N stood there in awe. While this was exactly what she hoped for, she didn’t except for this to happen, and let out a small nervous laugh. “The usually strong and awesome Cedric Diggory is blushing and didn’t have the courage to talk to a nobody like me?” She teased. 

Cedric laughed with her. “You’re not nobody. You’re Y/N Y/L/N, Triwizard Champion and a badass!” He said seriously, and then thought of something else. “I’d also like to go on a date with you sometime . . . if you like me, that is.” His eyes widened for just a moment when he realized he just poured his heart out and didn’t even know if Y/N had the same feelings.

Wow. Y/N felt like she was on top of the world. She took a step closer to Cedric, everything around them forgotten. “Seems like you got your courage back . . . and yes, I’d love to go out on a date with you,” she said, tilting her head up to make it seem like she wasn’t as short compared to Cedric. 

The two were very close together, so close that one might think that they were about to kiss. “You just can’t stop teasing me, can you?” He asked, making her giggle and shake her head ‘no’, 

Cedric smirked. “Well, there is something I will need to tell you on our date. Trust me, I was planning to tell you anyway, for I only found this out yesterday . . . what our first task is,” he said. 

Y/N raised her eyebrows. “Why would you tell me? I’m your opponent.” 

Cedric shrugged. “I don't care. Besides, Harry’s the one who told me and I’m pretty sure Krum knows, too.” 

As Y/N was about to respond, a flash suddenly startled them both and made them jump back. The pair turned to see Colin Creevey with a large smile on his face, lowering his camera before scampering away. “You two do like each other!” He yelled in victory as he ran.

“I guess Rita Skeeter’s writing does sometimes turn out to be the truth,” Y/N observed, blinking in a little surprise as she realized that. 

This day went a lot better than she could ever dream of.

OH MY GOD ARE YOU TWO GOING TO FIGHT OVER JONESY AND EXPLODE HIS DAMN FOOL MIND??? DO I WANT THIS??? DO I NOT??? 

I’m still confused on if I think Rita Sue actually wants Jonesy or not, and I’m still leaning toward no--I think she and Felix are just coming up with new and exciting ways to hurt each other in the wake of their daughter’s death and this has gone right to the top of the list. I think she enjoys Jonesy’s attention, but I don’t think she loves him, really. But I’m not sure I think Sophie does either, I think Sophie is settling with someone who is safe and familiar, but I think there’s at least the chance that things with Jonesy and Sophie could work out, where I don’t so much feel that with Rtia Sue and Jonesy. I could be wrong, I don’t know, but I think Rita Sue will get tired of the whole thing a lot sooner, whereas Sophie probably isn’t going to change her mind mid-stream.
