it’s been *checks calendar* over two months can we talk about these specific 100% energy sphere dialogue i feel like they turned up the “friend” talk by like a million notches

what is his MOTVATION This is RIGHT before you fight Landia RIGHT before he betrays you. He doesn't need to butter kirby up like this because Kirby's already 100% down with helping magolor out, he wouldn't have gotten ALL 120 ENERGY SPHERES if he didn't already plan on helping magolor out til the end

Is it all for manipulation? Why? for shits and giggles??

If it's Not manipulation and he genuinely wanted to be kirby's friend then WHY did he target popstar first? He could've AT THE VERY LEAST gone for LITERALLY ANY OTHER PLACE IN THE WORLD. You could try to blame the crown but he's pretty conscious when he makes that decision to go after popstar first

OH YEAH AND THAT'S NOT TO MENTION AFTER HIS APOLOGY IN STAR ALLIES HE'S ALL:

then again if he isn’t lying about this:

then that would mean he hasn’t had such a close relationship let alone interact with ANYONE for however long “a very, very long time” is so maybe a part of him considered kirby (by extension ddd, mk and bdee) a true friend and WANTED to keep that friendship despite his plan. but after being alone for so long he’s bound to grow accustomed to it. he’s had the plan to get the crown longer than he’s known those four so it makes sense he’d stick to his plan when he was so close.

maybe all that friend talk was denial to cope with the choice he was hellbent on taking, maybe it was manipulation, maybe it’s just silly heartwarming dialogue to congratulate the character while poking fun at the twist that’s to come

It's time for that once-in-a-blue-moon stroke of massive brainrot inspiration that causes me to do a whole composition out of nowhere. I got stuck on this piece for like a month purely because I didn't know what to do about the coloring and highlighting, but I got a recent burst of motivation and finally finished it! I do not anticipate making anything this big and crazy for a loooong while, so I'll be enjoying my artist rest now LOL.

Also, wow!!! That RTDL DX Magolor Epilogue!!! It's probably my new favorite extra mode in the series. I loved the upgrade system, combo system, and the feel of the combat while playing it. Also all the Magolor dialogue!! He's such a sopping wet menace gRAHH and that finale had my attention in a vice grip like WOAHH. I already loved him a lot before, but RTDL DX made me love him even more somehow <3.

Seaside Vacation:

This song is beautiful enough on its own but it's role in the plot makes it even better. I'm trying not to spoil too much or name names cause this is a game you definitely want to go in blind. Because the heroes are fighting and they're about to loose contact with her so one of them asks her to sing to them, give them hope that they'll be able to hold out until they can regain contact. And she does, you fight the battle with the song playing as she slowly drifts away. And then there's the final battle. They've been fighting for hours, everyone is exhausted and they have to defend the final point because they're the last hope for humanity. It's a desperate struggle. And partway through, her voice comes through, her song comes through. It becomes a song of hope and triumph because they did it. They held out long enough for her to come back. And with her they can win

EDIT: The sunstones are even the same color as the unripened apples/the passive version of the crown gem... So, this power CAN definitely be used for good then? I've been thinking a lot about how the Tree Crown/Mistelteinn doesn't have devil wings like Magolor's crown/Void's crown but instead these little "angel" wings...

Imma say this is more of a conclusion to ‘Guilt of Many’ because unfortunately my brain has run short of other ideas to put into the comic itself so this itself is a follow up of what happens after Magolor kind of vents to the Guardian and they were able to help mags through this period of depression in his life, while he’s gotten significantly better Magolor is still well….Magolor. Though even so the Guardian would be there to not only help him but many another Dream friends as well.

Magolor Day edit time, you already know

By the time I finished this one, the word “breathe” didn’t look like a real word. My main motivation for making this was the fact that the ending of Magolor Epilogue kind of reminded me of the ending of the Non-Breath Oblige music video. Still a very fun edit to make!

I‘m starting to run out of edits. Fortunately, I have an idea for a new one that I hope to work on soon!

Magolor Epilogue infodump time!!!

!!! Big warning!! There will be spoilers for the Magolor Epilogue!!! If there is any spoiler tag mod missed, please let mod know!!

Mod first wants to preface this by saying that some things here may be false, based on assumptions, or opinionated due to lack of information, or mod's own feelings and thoughts about Magolor's characterization. You have been warned!

Okay, so Magolor. The boy. The catboy, the wizard from another world. First of all, this man is literally as short as a waddle dee, the only reason why he seems taller is that he's a floaty boy! We know he can be great at lying and theatrics, but did you know that he lied about Halcandra being his home? In Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, when playing in the Extra Mode, if you talk to Magolor in Dangerous Dinner, he will reveal that Halcandra wasn't actually his native home! Instead, he had lived there for a while after he found the Lor Starcutter!

Anyway, small facts aside, time for what you guys really wanted, Magolor Epilogue thoughts! :D The Magolor Epilogue starts directly after the events of Kirby's Return to Dream Land (Deluxe) and gives us an idea of how Magolor survived his fight with Kirby! Playing as Magolor is such a serotonin-bursting thing for mod since Return to Dream Land was the second Kirby game they've ever played (the first was Super Star Ultra), and they LOVED Magolor. Mod didn't care that it was revealed he was evil the whole time, mod loved his design, his clothes, the chaotic vibes he gave off, mod loved everything about him.

Mod doesn't really know why they're using the past tense when they say "love", mod STILL loves Magolor. But anyway, back to the Magolor Epilogue. Mod is gonna skip straight to the final boss since this is the part where mod happened to take note of a Lot of Stuff. First of all The Music. THE MUSIC!!

Listen long enough and you can hear Magolor's theme deliberately placed into the song! It isn't hidden under the other instruments, it isn't played in a way where you have to focus to hear it, the song literally dedicates more than 30 seconds to playing Magolor's theme! And do you know what he's fighting against? THE MASTER CROWN!! The SAME THING that Magolor was after, the thing that Magolor wanted so he could have unlimited power, the very thing that took over his body and forced him to fight to the death!

And after the fight, he cries, wipes away his tears, and jumps through the portal that would send him home!!! Mod Cannot get over it, Magolor is so happy that he got rid of the Master Crown's presence within him, he's so happy he can go back to Dream Land (one of mod's assumptions, since Star Allies and the Clash games feature Magolor as a character) that he cries tears of happiness and floats into the portal with his arms opened wide, welcoming the feeling of the portal sending him away from That Place.

This one cutscene sent mod into tears!! Magolor fighting back against the Master Crown, the music dedicating an entire segment to his theme, him wiping away his tears and jumping into the portal with open arms!!! It makes mod want to cry again because it's just so symbolistic of Magolor realizing his mistake, understanding that he was given a chance to fix his wrongs, and taking that chance to fight back so he can!! Of course, mod isn't entirely sure about whether or not it was symbolism, but that's just mod's take on it!

Mod could go on and on about this, but you could probably tell from mod's recent post, this is a Very Heavily edited infodump! So they'll stop here >.<

20. A boss you think is really cool

Do I have to name just one?? I'm gonna list multiple..

Magolor's fight and designs are just so good, the remaster made them so much better too.. The True Arena Magolor Soul fight was so unexpected and so unsettling and I loved it so much. Magolor is just such a fun villain, I adore him (❁´◡`❁)

Then of course there's Yaldy, Alraune.. I'm so predictable but I also love Giygas so much, funny little red worm off the string

21. A boss that was disappointing

The final fight of Bayo3 will forever make me disappointed. It was just.. bad???? I actually liked him too (I just wish he was written better.. I wish this whole game was written better too honestly). Why did it drag on for so long, only for us, the player, to ultimately lose??? Especially since the finishers of the last two were so satisfying, this one just. Was not ╯︿╰
