Do you sell your work or do commisons?? Or do I have to take on a whole new hobby just to attempt to create your beautiful amazing pieces??

Hello! Thanks for the ask and the compliment! 😊💕 I've got both long and short answers for you...

In short, even if it's highly flattering that you would consider purchasing my work, I generally don't sell my work or do commissions. Instead, as you've noted, I would highly recommend you picking up the wonderful hobby of bookbinding! Long answer, with more details, is below the cut

In long, even if I generally don't do commissions/sell my work, I have in the past and depending on the situation I may consider doing a commission (ie, you are an author of a fic and wish to get it bound, or want a journal or non-fanfiction bound). In regards to why I don't do fanfiction anymore without express consent of the author (and even then it's questionable) is that I feel very uncomfortable accepting money based off someone else's work, which they have presented to the public for free, even if all I'm charging for is my work (Not For Sale is also part of Renegade Bindery Guild's code, who I am now a part of; you can read more about gift economies at the website on this subject). As well, I've found in the past when I have done commissions I have not particularly enjoyed the process; fanbinding is a downtime passion hobby of mine, and commercializing it tends to remove the passion and relaxation I get from it (and alas, downtime is something that's been sparse for me). As a result, even if you qualify for the above commissions, then the commission would also have to pique my interest before I would say yes. Also, another hurdle for commissions is that I live in so called Canada, and the price for shipping is astronomical (generally, $60 CAD for a tracked shipping outside of country; inside country is $20, more reasonable), which also makes commissioning books difficult, because it adds an extra hefty fee on-top of what one would be paying me in the first place. That said, if you do still want to inquire, feel free to DM me the details and I will let you know (I'm also a curious buggar, so it intrigues me to know what you would be interested in requesting); but in the end, I would simply highly recommend getting into fanbinding yourself as it is a really lovely and fufilling hobby!

Also, if you are also really enthusiastic about a typeset I've done and would like to use it to create your own fanbinding of the fic, then feel free to DM me personally, and I am generally perfectly willing to provide you a copy of the typeset! Of course, I do request that if you do so, when you use it you recognize the typeset was created by me (ie, leaving a statement in the printed copy), and only use it personally and don't share the file, in case it is used later commercially without my consent. If someone else you know is interested in using the typeset, feel free to forward them to me!

Hello! I'm currently reading Empire of Ice and Stone but was wondering if you had any other book recommendations for the Karluk? Or honestly your favorite books or documentaries about any ships? Thank you so much!

HELLO BELOVED! I'm so glad you're reading about my terrible sons on the Karluk. My two favorite books on the subject are Empire, which you're reading, and The Ice Master by Jennifer Niven. They are both great overviews of the expedition as a whole. I also recommend The Last Voyage of the Karluk by William Laird McKinlay and The Karluk's Last Voyage by Captain Bob Bartlett. They're first hand narratives, so they lack the broad scope of a more general history, but they're both excellent. If you're interested in something shorter, Fred Maurer wrote a series of articles about his experiences for World Magazine, and I can hook you up if you'd like to read them. I do not recommend Vilhjalmur Stefansson's book The Friendly Arctic unless you're looking for something large and heavy to throw against the wall in the hope of making a big hole. He's the absolute worst.

There are some Karluk documentaries out there, and my favorite that is currently available on YouTube can be found here and here! I also have the rescue footage and can hook you up with that as well 😊

Aside from Karluk, I have 2 other favorite ships/expeditions. First up is the British Antarctic Expedition/Terra Nova. There are a lot of incredible books and movies about and inspired by this expedition (including my friend Sarah's, which you should buy and read immediately!), but we would be here all day if I listed them all. To keep things simple, I'll recommend A First Rate Tragedy by Diana Preston as a great starting point. Also, you can watch Herbert Ponting's film The Great White Silence, featuring actual footage of the expedition, free on YouTube!

My other favorite expedition is the Ross Sea Party, which traveled on the Aurora to provide support for the Endurance crew as they attempted to cross the Antarctic continent. Things did not go as planned, and it's an incredibly tragic story (and also why I get pissy when people say that Shackleton never lost a man, but that's a rant for another day!)

The definitive book on the RSP is The Lost Men by Kelly Tyler-Lewis. I am not aware of any great documentaries about them, but I can tell you that if you want to see rescue footage of them, you should check out the bluray of the film South, which features Frank Hurley's footage of the Endurance. Hidden in the bonus features, deep in a sea of menus, you'll find nine minutes of never before seen footage, with a voiceover by Kelly Tyler-Lewis. South is 100% worth your time, but if you're only interested in the RSP footage, I can hook you up with that as well.

That's my point too: I'd rather side with a victim first and if it's a lie or something like this, I'd rather apologize for being naive than not believe in someone who shared their trauma experience online. Men, especially, tend to bury this, and women are not believed.

I would react like this when it comes to any public person, not just her. I do not hate Annabelle at all. It's her choice to live her life the way she wants, but I find her problematic so I am allowed to think and say this.

Annabelle should, though, be treated with respect!

Thoughts While Watching Gilmore Girls Season 2, Episode 15, "Lost And Found", Aka The Bracelet Has Breached Containment, Aka BraceletGate, Aka QuarterOnAStringGate, Part 4

As we round the bend and reach the shitty middle of the shitcircus that is Lost and Found, may I remind you what Dean, Lorelai, and Rory are going to war with Jess for:

I need a Quarter on A String prequel . I need the origins of this quarter and the sheer power it wields over pathetic people like Dean and Lorelai. It is fascinating to ponder. I mean, I know what a quarter looks like, but still, Is there someone with editing skills who can lighten this shot for me so we can have a better look at it? #Please Or maybe the Forresters took a family vacation, intending on leaving their son Dean at some distant gas station, never looking back, but before dumping him he got one of those pressed penny souvenirs they sell at rest stops.

(of course Dean first gave it to Rory outside when it was pitch dark so she would have to be like, oh yeah this is so nice Dean. Because she can't see a damn thing, and maybe in the moonlight it looks kinda pretty, but then when the sun rises Rory's like oh, it's just a fucking quarter. A quarter that now carries a heavy burden as it must be affixed to my wrist at all times or I'll face the wrath of Dean the Butt and My Mom The Butt).

Here we fucking go. Keep in mind Rory only cares so much about the Rest Stop Penny because Dean will be angry that she lost it. That's it. Why Lorelai cares so much about the RSP is a question only wise men can answer.

Jess quietly observing the freak show. I suppose asking for change from a dollar and punching a hole in a coin took a small amount of effort on Dean's part, but "made" is pushing it.

Ancient Technology/Discontinued Snack Food observation break!

Lorelai agreeing out loud that Dean's anger would have consequences for Rory that are too terrifying to contemplate Instead the Gilmore Girls GPS sends Lorelai right past "We Both Readily Agree That Dean's Anger Is Nothing to Mess With" Bouelvard and reroutes her to "it's okay he'll just make you another one" Street. Yes, I'm sure he can have another one made. Next time Clara's girl scout troop meets at his house he can give them a Quarter on a String arts and crafts project. For about the 200th time in just 1 and a half seasons, Rory tells her mother that Dean has an anger problem. Lorelai assures her that Dean will understand. Rory asks Lorelai how she can be so sure. Lorelai responds: "His track record points to him being understanding." A view of Lorelai's brain circuits:

But enough about your sexual fantasies again, Lorelai. I like the part about rendering Dean Forrester blind though.

Please hobble Lorelai GIlmore's knees with the rake. And now, a break down of how this episode and Teach Me Tonight are virtually the same story. -Something happens to Rory that is troublesome (loses her bracelet/ minor car accident) but Rory cares less about what happened to her than Lorelai does. Lorelai immediately dials the minor incident up to 11.

-Luke offers Jess up without his consent to either perform or receive some kind of service from or by one of the Gilmores (gutter slopping, tutoring). Lorelai reacts to these suggestions as if her very life is in danger. -The inatimate object at the center of the war was "made" by Dean (his car and his QOAS). -Dean will get mad at Rory for something happening to her that was no fault of her own -Lorelai becomes absolutely hysterical -Rory is like it's not THAT bad, I'll be fine Mom, maybe you're over reacting just a skosh -Lorelai is like you are not fine, daughter of mine! -The accident and the lost of the QOAS was not due to Jess being malicious or because he just likes to steal Rory's stuff and crash her cars but try telling Lorelai that -33 Year Old Lorelai Gilmore declares war with a teenage boy, has him exiled from town -Jess Mariano contemplates where his life went wrong and quietly wishes he was still living with his negligent alcoholic mother and her parade of abusive boyfriends (oh, right, that actually happens after TMT). We cut to Lorelai at work where she is crawling around on her hands on knees on the dirty motel (I'm sorry, INN) floor looking for Rory's bracelet under her desk. I guess Lorelai is like her own boss, she doesn't have someone above her, like a manager or something to tell her to stop loafing and looking for quarters while on the clock and demote her back to housekeeping duties. She also asked Michel to help her look for the QOAS and he is not amused. Great job Lorelai, making Americans look ridiculous in the eyes of Europeans, like we need any more of that. L: I turned the house upside down! Rory is having a heart attack! It's just awful! Rory having a heart attack:

When I tell you I am physically, literally WHEEZING over Lorelai Gilmore's dramatics. I completely forgot the Jess and Luke Looking for An Apartment b-story at the beginning of this episode. This episode is like slogging through mud so that plot feels like four years ago. Seen below, a Historical Curiosity: The birthplace of the Quarter on a String.

I love when Luke uses casual swear words. A much needed "Ass" in these trying times. This show could use more of them. Ass ass ass ass! Luke goes into one of his famous Nuclear Rants about the cost of apartment living (deposits! pet fees! parking fees! laundry fees!) so I guess Jess isn't going to be getting that seperate bedroom he was desperately hoping for. Whether its a rant about the pitfalls of marriage or shopping malls or rental properties or red meat, Luke Danes has his finger on the pulse of society.

Luke Danes appreciation. God, I appreciate you so much. I mean that in a totally non sexual way. Thank God you exist.

Okay, I forgot about Lorelai and Luke go looking at apartments together in this episode, which I remember to be quite enjoyable and full of delicious tension. Praise the lord, we have filler! I repeat, we have filler!

Lorelai leaves work in the middle of the day to go look at apartments with the local diner owner. In my gritty Gilmore Girls reboot titled The Hollow, the Independence Inn will have been purchased by some major hotel chain and Lorelai would be a victim of the first round of layoffs. We cut to Luke and Lorelai touring an empty apartment, where Lorelai offers to lick Luke's face. The real estate agent mistakes Luke for Lorelai's husband and Lorelai plays along and this whole scene is just....edible.

Luke: Yep, 14 years from now, I'm totally gonna make this crazy bitch my wife and even briefly consider reproducing with her. God, Lorelai is so downright tolerable and at times enjoyable to watch when she's sexually harassing Luke but her interactions with everyone else make me want to claw out my brain matter with my bare hands. But this tension right here??

Lor: What's wrong this place? Luke: It's too big. I don't need two bathrooms. Lor: Yes you do. And you and Jess will kill each other if you stay where you are. I gotta hand it to Lorelai. Because at least she's been advocating for Jess getting his own bedroom and bathroom. We know it won't happen, but the effort has not gone unnoticed. Can't wait for this minor bit of goodwill she's earned with me to be dashed to smithereens in the next few moments. Lor: It's a two year lease. Luke: Yeah, but who knows how long he's going to be here. Lor: Why? Did something happen? Oh, NOW you care about Jess. You're just trying to get in his uncle's pants. Luke: Even if he does stay, it'll only be for another year, and after that he'll go off to college, or Attica prison. Wrong on both counts, Lucas, but YOU go to jail (I think in season 5 or 6?) Still trying to figure out why everyone thinks Jess is a criminal. Although I believe with every beat of my cold black heart that Jess does eventually get his GED and go to college. Luke is sad about the fact that no matter what,Jess is going to leave him in the next few years, leaving Luke back at square one, living alone forever in this new apartment. I think the fact that he can admit, if only subtly and in his very emotionally closed off Luke Danes sort of way, that he would be lonely without Jess is nice. Even if he does think it'll be because he went to prison.

Or some crazy bish who turns her house upside down looking for a QOAS. You're fucked, Lucas. Still haven't arrived at the rotting meat of this episode. To be continued.

Anthropic urges AI regulation to avoid catastrophes

Anthropic has flagged the potential risks of AI systems and calls for well-structured regulation to avoid potential catastrophes. The organisation argues that targeted regulation is essential to harness AI’s benefits while mitigating its dangers.

As AI systems evolve in capabilities such as mathematics, reasoning, and coding, their potential misuse in areas like cybersecurity or even biological and chemical disciplines significantly increases.

Anthropic warns the next 18 months are critical for policymakers to act, as the window for proactive prevention is narrowing. Notably, Anthropic’s Frontier Red Team highlights how current models can already contribute to various cyber offense-related tasks and expects future models to be even more effective.

Of particular concern is the potential for AI systems to exacerbate chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) misuse. The UK AI Safety Institute found that several AI models can now match PhD-level human expertise in providing responses to science-related inquiries.

In addressing these risks, Anthropic has detailed its Responsible Scaling Policy (RSP) that was released in September 2023 as a robust countermeasure. RSP mandates an increase in safety and security measures corresponding to the sophistication of AI capabilities.

The RSP framework is designed to be adaptive and iterative, with regular assessments of AI models allowing for timely refinement of safety protocols. Anthropic says that it’s committed to maintaining and enhancing safety spans various team expansions, particularly in security, interpretability, and trust sectors, ensuring readiness for the rigorous safety standards set by its RSP.

Anthropic believes the widespread adoption of RSPs across the AI industry, while primarily voluntary, is essential for addressing AI risks.

Transparent, effective regulation is crucial to reassure society of AI companies’ adherence to promises of safety. Regulatory frameworks, however, must be strategic, incentivising sound safety practices without imposing unnecessary burdens.

Anthropic envisions regulations that are clear, focused, and adaptive to evolving technological landscapes, arguing that these are vital in achieving a balance between risk mitigation and fostering innovation.

In the US, Anthropic suggests that federal legislation could be the ultimate answer to AI risk regulation—though state-driven initiatives might need to step in if federal action lags. Legislative frameworks developed by countries worldwide should allow for standardisation and mutual recognition to support a global AI safety agenda, minimising the cost of regulatory adherence across different regions.

Furthermore, Anthropic addresses scepticism towards imposing regulations—highlighting that overly broad use-case-focused regulations would be inefficient for general AI systems, which have diverse applications. Instead, regulations should target fundamental properties and safety measures of AI models. 

While covering broad risks, Anthropic acknowledges that some immediate threats – like deepfakes – aren’t the focus of their current proposals since other initiatives are tackling these nearer-term issues.

Ultimately, Anthropic stresses the importance of instituting regulations that spur innovation rather than stifle it. The initial compliance burden, though inevitable, can be minimised through flexible and carefully-designed safety tests. Proper regulation can even help safeguard both national interests and private sector innovation by securing intellectual property against threats internally and externally.

By focusing on empirically measured risks, Anthropic plans for a regulatory landscape that neither biases against nor favours open or closed-source models. The objective remains clear: to manage the significant risks of frontier AI models with rigorous but adaptable regulation.

Colonel Eddy had just noticed that they were somewhere nearby, very likely inside a building with the purple-haired girl utilizing her traversing powers. He took note of that. He decided to talk to Fumiko through Classic Order communication technology.

"[Colonel Eddy]: They're inside a building. Gotta be. Any one of these two buildings. Rose Pulse them out."

Fumiko Rose Grappled towards the largest building in the area, swinging upwards and flipping multiple times in the air. She calculated the amount of distance and likelihood of the targets' locations in the volume of area, managing to Rose Pulse both of the nearest buildings effectively with her white glowing rose, setting off another white outline on the girl and Shido, marking them for her and Colonel Eddy to engage again.

The huge aerial stun mines lined up on Colonel Eddy's control, circling around the building to aim for certain edges of the office building. These two seemed lost and unable to find the best route possible. Eddy and Fumiko remained calculated and precise in their engagement. The stun mines collided and exploded against the walls near Shido and the girl, the sheer power of the stun enough to affect the other side of the wall, hoping to stagger the two.

"[Sergeant Ed]: A nice cup of liber-tea! YEAH! You got 'em! Go for it, Fumiko!"

Fumiko was still in the air, flipping about. Timing and calculating her next move, she skydived into the ground, before landing on a rose circle near a window where Shido and the girl were navigating by. With her rose whip, she threw it at Shido and with her super strength, pulled him towards her, spinning him a great amount of times throughout, before holding him in place by her, gripping his upper arm with her other hand holding onto her whip that tied Shido.

Colonel Eddy ran right next to Shido, chain and coffin in his hand.

"Give it up. The Classic Order needs Shido for this mission. You really want to risk the entire world for him?"

He knew, he knew this wasn't the real one. The true Shido was the entity RSP-3812, but with this version of Shido, there were questions bound to be answered.

Colonel Eddy and Fumiko were at the ready, ready to fight if the purple-haired girl persists.

Vivio couldn't have been more happier now that the drones were taken care of, courtesy of her younger sister Yuna, but their problems were not over yet. Not even close.

Even as they spoke, she could tell that Fumiko was rushing ahead to cut them off, and even still the huge man was still giving chase, having deployed some aerial devices that she wasn't quite sure what they were, but knew she couldn't let those things catch up.

Vivio could tell "Shido" was confused about what was happening and yet hadn't shaken her off. This told her that he was trusting her, at least for the moment, which was good. She, along with the others had hoped their first interaction would have been smooth and seamless, but that seemed to no longer be an option. She'd have to deal with the aftermath once they got Shido to safety.

"Oh c'mon..!"

As if attempting to box them in wasn't bad enough, she saw a light from up above that was heading down towards them! A number of options were rapidly going through Vivio's head at once until she eventually settled on one that would at least prolong their escape attempt.

Glancing to her left, which would be towards nothing in particular from a certain point of view, though in actuality, she was looking at the building that they were beside and timed her following action with the orbital strike.

In literal seconds before the strike hit the ground, Vivio teleported herself and Shido into the building next to her, initially unsure if she could pull it off with the potential of getting them both stuck inside a wall or other object.

Fortunately, this didn't happen, as the two reappeared on the other side of the wall they were running next to, still in running motion. The pair would fall over, feeling the affects of the strike surge through the walls and hit them.

Shido felt his body lock up as he hit the floor, the painful and uncomfortable feeling surge though him in that moment. It took nearly every ounce of his strength to resist crying out from the shock, though when that happened, something else occurred.

It was brief, but for a second, he had a vision.

He was in a place that looked like an office, much like the one they were in currently, though of an older design and was bright yellow. In the flash he recalled a group of white featureless Mannequins towering over him, and in the next, was a young woman with long purple hair, wielding a black sword that was almost as tall as she was.

Shido wasn't able to make sense of this vision, but before he knew it, he was back in the real world, still on the floor in the dark office as he let out a light gasp.

Turning over to Vivio, he saw that she too was on the floor, though she was attempting to pull herself up with gritted teeth.

"H-Hey, are you alright?"

"Owie... yeah, I'll be fine, been through way worse than that but still...."

The girl said as she slowly pulled herself to her feet. Shido sat up, albeit slowly himself as he still felt like he had been hit full on with a tazer... which was basically what happened.

"C'mon, we gotta get outta here..!"

She extended a hand for Shido to take, which he did, helping pull him up as a result. Shido could tell she wanted hurry and get to wherever she wanted them to go. Even though it looked like they were safe for the most part, with people like that girl and the armored man hunting them down, as well as whatever resources they had on hand, they couldn't stay in one place for too long.

Whatever they were doing, whether they had already knew where they currently were, or were deploying something to track them down, Vivio and Shido didn't want to stick around to find out.

Having now stood up, the pair would push their bodies onward through a set of doors that would take them deeper into the building, unsure of where they were going but vigilant nonetheless.

All Star Scramble: Rickey Shane Page vs Riley Ishimori vs VIOLET vs Syn vs VENY vs Eddie Kingston

Last year, the All-Star Scramble proved to be one of the most intense and chaotic matches that the MPW audience had ever seen, and at the end, it was Abigail who walked out victorious. This year, Abigail is the prize waiting at the end of the rainbow, a rainbow we are about to paint with the blood and sweat of these six competitors currently standing in the ring. Rickey Shane Page, Syn, VIOLET, VENY, Eddie Kingston, and Abigail’s own golden goose, and you have to imagine, a woman she inserted into this match by her own request… Riley Ishimori. One can only imagine what would happen if Riley won this match, that at State of Emergency we’d no, instead of a match, see an act of submission.

That is, if Abigail can defeat Atticus Cogar later tonight. But we’ll cross that bridge after this one. It’s time to name a #1 contender. 

The six competitors stand in the ring, looking at each other, trying to figure out which of them was going to make the first move. The Cleveland Ohio crowd is hot tonight, and Syn turns to take a second to bask it in… Before Syn turns around and gets cracked in the jaw by a straight right hand from VIOLET! VIOLET takes the opportunity to strike first, as we’re off and running, Riley Ishimori and Eddie Kingston, former friends, going right after each other, Eddie actually knocking Riley out of the ring and going after her as they continue to swing at one another. Both Rickey Shane Page and VENY rush VIOLET, with VENY blasting VIOLET with a boot right to the face, knocking her back into the corner. VIOLET backs into the corner, but as VENY charges in, VIOLET pops her with a headbutt, staggering VENY and sending her stumbling backwards, but Rickey Shane Page leaps in and cracks her with a STIFF forearm shot! VIOLET drops back into the corner, and RSP climbs to the second rope, before hammering down on VIOLET with a series of punches, the crowd counting along!

“1! 2! 3! 4! 5! 6! 7! 8! 9!-” 

RSP is cut off and shoved off the second rope by VIOLET, but VENY, back up to her feet now, runs up and jumps into the second rope, taking RSP’s place, and begins the series of punches anew!

“1! 2! 3! 4! 5! 6! 7! 8! 9!-” 

This time VENY is shoved back by VIOLET, but Syn sliding back into the ring quickly charges VIOLET and takes VENY’s place, laying into VIOLET with some punches of his own! 

“1! 2! 3! 4! 5! 6! 7! 8! 9!” 

This time Syn jumps back down before landing the last punch, making a big show of winding up his fist, as did Rickey Shane Page and VENY, as the crowd built anticipation, VIOLET stumbled out of the corner and was caught with a right hand from all three competitors, dropping the Homicidal Queen! 

“10!” The crowd shouted in unison, and VIOLET, having just got her bell rung by all three of his opponents, rolls to the outside to try and collect herself. RSP, Syn, and VIOLET all exchange high fives, but Syn and VENY flash each other a look before grabbing Rickey and sending RSP off the ropes, before catching him on the rebound, VENY with a chop block and Syn with a spear! Rickey is practically turned inside out as he rolls to the outside, leaving Syn and VENY alone in the ring. They get right to work against one another, Syn blasting VENY with a chop to the chest, but VENY answering back with a chop of her own. Syn and VENY go back and forth trading chops, before Syn decides to go for a headbutt instead, knocking VENY back into the corner, before Syn charges in and crashes down onto them with a Stinger Splash! VENY drops to their knees and rolls to the outside, as Syn measures and hits the ropes, looking for a dive to the outside, when suddenly Eddie Kingston pops up and catches Syn in mid-air, grabbing Syn and driving his throat right down into the ropes with a stun gun! Syn gets launched backwards as Kingston pulls himself onto the apron and over the top rope, back into the ring. Syn tries to get up in time to launch an offense, but Kingston drops him right back down to the mat with a huge boot! Kingston picks Syn back up and sends him into the corner, before charging in and crashing into him with a back elbow, before then nearly taking Syn’s head off with a huge forearm! Syn rolls out of the ring, and Rickey slides in from behind, going right after Eddie Kingston. RSP lays into Kingston with a couple of shots to the midsection, before grabbing Eddie and sending him overhead with a huge belly to belly suplex! The strength of Rickey Shane Page was unreal! 

Rickey rolled out of the ring and apparently decided it was time to introduce some plunder into this one, going under the ring and retrieving a door, before sliding it into the ring. RSP got back into the ring and propped the door up in the corner. Syn tried to get back into the ring to acost RSP, catching him with a chop to the chest, but RSP responded with a chop that was hard enough to take Syn off of his feet! RSP then scooped Syn up onto his shoulders, before using Syn as a battering ram, first driving Syn into Eddie Kingston in the corner, before turning and charging all the way across the ring, and driving Syn through the door with a massive powerslam! Syn and RSP explode through the door, and Rickey drags Syn out of the corner, hooking his leg for the first cover of this match!

1….2… Broken Up! 

VENY slides into the ring with a chair in her hand, and cracks it over RSP, breaking up the pin! RSP clutches his back as he gets back to his feet, and VENY cracks the chair over his head, stunning RSP and knocking him right out of the ring. VENY then unfolds the chair, before using it as a step-stool to launch herself up onto Eddie Kingston, before driving him to the mat with a modified Tornado DDT! VENY gets up, and lets out a war cry, before she turns around and sees Riley Ishimori staring her down. The two circle each other for a moment, before locking up, VENY quickly getting an advantage over Riley, trapping her in a wrist lock, but Riley is quick to roll through it, get up to her feet, and launch a kick at VENY, who manages to Matrix dodge, but as VENY bridges back, Riley jumps up and CRUSHES VENY’s Midsection with a jumping double stomp! VENY’s ribcage must have been crushed as Riley drops down into a cover. 

1….2… Kickout!VENY out at two, and quickly she rolls out of the ring, as Riley’s eyes shift over to Rickey Shane Page getting back into the ring. Riley tries to charge him, but Rickey wraps his hand around Riley’s throat, looking for the chokebreaker, but Riley leaps up, wraps her legs around Rickey’s head, and sends him across the ring with a hurricanrana! Ishimori charged Rickey as he got back to his feet with a Rolling Elbow, but Rickey ducked it and sent Ishimori off the ropes, on the rebound Rickey leaping up and catching Riley Ishimori with a jumping enziguri, catching Ishimori right on the back of her head and dropping her! 

Rickey grabbed Ishimori by the hair and lifted her back up, before whipping Ishimori into the corner. Rickey charged in after her and crushed Ishimori with a body splash, before lifting Ishimori up and tossing her all the way across the ring with a massive Suplex Toss! Rickey might be damn near the strongest man in MPW, easily able to toss other competitors across the ring with little to no effort. Rickey even took a moment to flex, taunting Riley and earning a pop from the crowd, before he began stalking around the downed Ishimori. Rickey took the heel of his foot and grinded it on the forehead of Ishimori, before raking it away, nearly leaving treadmarks across Ishimori’s forehead. Rickey turned back to the task at hand finally and grabbed Ishimori, but Ishimori, ever the crafty competitor, was prepared and put her head right under Rickey’s chin before catching him with a jawbreaker!

Rickey was sent stumbling backwards, holding his jaw, as Ishimori got back to her feet. Ishimori measured Rickey, and charged in, but Rickey suddenly tossed Ishimori up in the air for a backdrop, catching her on the way down with a kick right to the back! Ishimori cried out in agony as his spine might have been shattered after that kick! Riley clutched her back as she rolled to the corner, and Rickey turns to charge her again, but Rickey is suddenly caught by a springboarding VIOLET, coming from the sky, and taking out Rickey Shane Page with a crossbody! Rickey hits the mat and rolls up to his knee, before VIOLET hits the ropes and BLASTS Rickey with a shotgun dropkick! Rickey rolls out of the ring, and VIOLET turns to Riley, giving her a devilish smirk as she sees her old tag partner, before charing in at Riley, practically crushing Riley’s head with a hip attack, before VIOLET sits back on the face of her former running buddy, taking a second to humiliate her friend-turned-foe with a stinkface. Riley shoves VIOLET off of her after a few moments, and VIOLET runs right into Eddie Kingston, who lifts her up, before tossing her overhead with a huge Exploder suplex! VIOLET hits the mat, and Kingston turns back around, right into a Superkick from Ishimori! Kingston’s head snaps back, but Eddie staps back to attention, before grabbing Riley and tossing her overhead with an exploder suplex as well! Riley rolls out of the ring, Kingston following, and the two begin to slug on each other with forearms, back and forth they go, before they’re suddenly cut off with VIOLET launching herself over the top rope, and crashing down on Riley and Eddie with a Tope Con Hilo!

VIOLET gets back to her feet, and looks for her next victim, but gets caught with a kick to the gut by Rickey Shane Page. Rickey chops VIOLET in the chest, but is caught with an axe handle from behind by VENY. Rickey turns to swing on her, and the two begin to trade blows, as the rest of the competitors in this match join the fray, the five who could currently be seen all bunching up and entering into an all out brawl! 

But where was Syn? 

Somewhere along the way, as the brawl approaches the stage, the crowd suddenly all rise to their feet, as Syn is now standing on top of the set, having apparently gone to the back just so that he could climb up to the tallest point in the venue, the MPW set. Syn looked down at his opponents, and took a couple steps back, and as RSP, Eddie, VIOLET, VENY, and Riley all realize he’s up there, Syn takes a running leap off the MPW set and crashes down on all of his opponents! Was there no risk Syn wouldn’t take in an MPW ring?! 

After all six competitors are laid out on the outside, VENY is the first to stir, grabbing Rickey Shane Page and tossing him back into the ring. VENY slides into the ring, looking for a big boot on Rickey, but Rickey catches VENY around the throat, looking for and planting VENY with a chokebreaker! Rickey gets back up and turns around, only to be caught and blasted by VIOLET with an End of Everything! Rickey Shane Page is knocked from the ring, and VIOLET gets back up, only to be caught with a Backfist from Eddie Kingston! VIOLET is knocked out, and Kingston turns around, only to be blasted with a Rocket Kick from Ishimori! Ishimori picks Eddie back up, hooks his arms, before driving down Eddie with a Godkiller! Riley drives Eddie’s head into the mat, and goes for the cover!

1…..2… Broken Up!

Syn slides into the ring and manages to break up the pin! Syn saves the match! Riley clutches at the back of her neck, and stands up, staring down Syn. Syn charges Riley, looking for the spear, but Riley leaps him, and Syn runs right into the turnbuckle. Riley grabs Syn and lifts Syn up onto the top rope, before catching him with a forearm to the back, before climbing up after him. Riley traps Syn, and makes a cutthroat gesture, before looking for a Sunset Flip Powerbomb off the top… but he catches her! Riley finds herself in a precarious position, as Syn hooks her leg, before leaping backward, and CRUSHING Riley’s head with Drag The Lake off the top rope! Both legs are hooked!

1…..2…..3!

Syn’s done it!

“Here is your winner, and #1 contender for the MPW World Championship, the One Man Militia, Syn!” 

Syn gets up, his eyes immediately shooting up to the balcony, where Syn locks eyes with a woman who’s story was already so deeply entwined with his. Abigail simply smirks down at him, like this was exactly what she had wanted, rasing her MPW World Championship up high as she stands high above him on the balcony. 

Syn and Abigail would cross paths again it appears, this time with the biggest prize in MPW on the line. Syn continues to stare up at Abigail, before suddenly, before anybody can stop him, Syn rushes the barricade and hops over, shoving his way through the crowd and trying to get to the stairs that lead up to the balcony! Syn didn't wanna wait, it looks like Syn's gonna have to try to go after her tonight! Abigail quickly clears out of the commentary table, rushing back into the locker room, as multiple members of The Fallen, who had been up on the balcony with her, all block the stairs, creating a wall of bodies stoping Syn from getting up the stairs. Syn shouts threats up at them, demanding they get out of his way, but The Fallen isn't moving, and Abigail has already fled. Syn's gonna have to wait to get his hands on Abby.

Hi! I was just looking at your blog because I found you through Renegade. I wanted to ask if you're taking commissions, your bookbinding skills are phenomenal, literally gorgeous books.

I have a favorite series of fanfics that I really badly want in a hard copy like a book because I have a fear that something might have happened to the author. It's been almost 5 years since they updated any of their blogs and their email doesn't work anymore either. The fanfics are from their own fanfic sight and I worry the sight might get shut down. Also, the fics are pretty NSFW, but I love them so so much, would you be willing to bind them?

Hello! Thank you so much for the compliment, I'm extremely flattered that you would trust me to make a series of fanfics that are clearly close to your heart. 💕 Unfortunately, I generally don't do commissions, which you can read about here, which also goes over what I would in a very slim chance possibly bind (no worries about NSFW; if you look at the majority of the fics I've bound myself, most of them are NSFW themselves haha).

The worry about censorship or artists just even taking down their art, especially NSFW stuff is certainly a very valid worry; if the fics were on AO3 I would recommend bookmarking and downloading fics that you like (which is what I do periodically; I generally use HTML download, although I believe that's not the best avenue for fics with images). However since it's hosted on their own website, I would recommend to instead manually copy and paste the fanfics into a word (or some sort of text) document so you will have some sort of copy even if the website is taken down, even if it's not a hardcopy.

For a hardcopy, I would highly recommend getting into bookbinding yourself as it's a delightful hobby (there's tonnes of resources through renegade as well) but I understand if that's a daunting prospect that you may not have much time for (even then, I'd highly recommend it!!!). But beyond that, as I say in the link, feel free to dm me the details of the fic and I can make a further decision, but it's highly likely I'll decline. There are a few others who do fanfiction binding and do commissions, who may be able to help you, but unfortunately I don't know people's names. Nevertheless, best of luck to you on getting them as a hardcopy!

error and ink are kids because this whole au used.......to be a joke. it was once a joke revamp of pj's daycare but ended up turning serious halfway LOL

they are NOT siblings! it seems like they are because they're both under PJ's care and they both identify him as a father figure but they're more of treated like "that friend i made at the orphanage" kind of relationship

Ooof this got lost in a bunch of stuff! Sorry about missing it! Only remembered it because I saw a similar ask on my dash hahha.

Seems like a good day to do this, since I'm so tired and exhausted and I need something to make me smile.

Dragons. Just everything and anything with dragons. I'm fascinated with them. If you buy or make me anything with dragons, I automatically love you.

I finally bought myself my iPad I've been saving up for for *literally* 3 years. Because I was saving up for a trip this year that I am no longer taking (was planning a 40th birthday trip to Disney, but now am not going to Florida at all until they get their shit together), I took some of that money also to buy it and bought a top-of-the-line one, the best I could buy at the local Apple store (1TB, 12.9inch Pro... you don't want to know how much it was :|). I love it so much, and it's nice to use it to get off my laptop. I mostly was prompted to buy it now because it was my 40th birthday gift to myself AND my Wacom driver kept crashing my laptop and I'm scared to reinstall it hahah.

Funko Pops. I LOVE them and hate them. I only collect ones from series and shows I like, but I have WAY too many of them that most are in storage right now. I want to get my own home soon so I can display them finally. I am constantly checking the app for upcoming Funkos, and then immediately check my local toy store for their preorders. My local toy store must love me, I have SO much on preorder right now.

Drawing and writing. I'm alright at both, but I've terrible imposter syndrome so I feel like I'm not good at either, mainly because I don't get much traction on either when I post. I've a few people who always help me get it out, but I these days I do it for me, because it makes me happy.

Video Games. Currently playing AC Valhalla, and I LOVE it so much that I ended up buying the Season Pass. I RARELY buy DLC. But the game was SO good and I wanted more, so I needed to play the expansions. PERSONALLY it's my fave of the new trilogy, and because it's a "current" game, it's always got new stuff. Love it. My fave game EVER is Kingdom Hearts 2. I love the story of it so much. Skyrim is a close second – I like Skyrim because I put in over 200 hours in ALL versions I've played, and still there's so much I have to do hahah. AC New Trilogy is third. I liked DA Inquisition but never finished it, and I still have a bunch of games I bought last Christmas I have yet to play, so my list may change... it's highly unlikely though.

So there you have it Nonny! I think it's good I waited until I was in a better mood to answer this... People stopped sending me these because I was always so negative in them, I guess... I hope I get more of things like this when my asks go back on.

Can I also give you 5 things I'm looking forward to? I feel like that will help me keep a positive attitude for a bit.

My current work contract is almost done, and I'll get some downtime before I have to start my normal day-job again. Looking forward to my weekends back.

My broken foot seems to be healing REALLY quick. Yesterday was the first day I woke up without it hurting, and today I've been able to hobble around on my heel (as per my doctor's instructions that I need to start doing once my foot stopped hurting). I'm optimistic that I'll be given the okay to drive again during my next appointment on the 30th. I am going nuts not being able to leave home on my own accord.

So in Canada, we have this thing where you can take out your RSPs tax-free for three things: Retirement, First Time Home Ownership, and Second Education. I set up my RSPs WAY back when I was making piss-poor salary about 10 years ago, and I wanted to make sure that I at LEAST could have SOMETHING when I retired. I recently discovered I maxed out the amount of money I can take out for First Time Homeownership in my RSP, so my plans to home ownership are looking more and more realistic. I just wish owning a home wasn't so expensive where I live (major city in one of the most expensive provinces in Canada). It's hard when you're single-income. Here's hoping that I can make it a reality soon. The idea is a condo, I just have very expensive tastes (safe-neighbourhoods apparently justify a 10,000$+ more in cost :/) so I keep saving into my various accounts and GICs that I set up after I finally was making a liveable salary, so as long as I keep being humble and living below my means, I can finally get what I save up for... if only the cost of housing would SLOW THE FUCK DOWN. It's gone up 100K in just a year. It's insane.

I also saved up enough for a new couch thanks to a second contract I took during my CURRENT contract, which paid me exactly enough for the couch I want to get (I may or may not have strategically negotiated that contract, LOL). I've been needing a new couch for years; the one I currently have, I have sentimental attachment to (it was my dad's and is over 20 years old) but working at home for almost 2 years, I've worn it out and it's SO VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. It's barely staying together. Looking forward to getting it :) ... Was waiting until cooler months since I have to put it together myself (IKEA) and my apt is SO hot in the summer, no way I can do it then.

Having my asks turned back on. I'm sorry, it sounds so cheesy and dumb, but I don't have many RL friends or connections, and you guys help me stay positive and help keep my negative thoughts at bay. The dark thoughts have been coming in a lot lately, to the point where I've convinced myself that no one missed me and no one cares, so it's helped having a few of my regulars and mutuals check up on me in DMs during all this.
