Audi Sets New Performance Benchmarks with Innovative e-tron GT Models
Audi Canada News: Since its debut in 2021, the Audi e-tron GT Quattro has stood as the pinnacle of electric and sporty design within Audi’s lineup. This four-door Gran Turismo masterfully blends striking aesthetics with a robust drive system and dynamic handling. The latest versions of the e-tron GT series offer significant enhancements in range, performance, charging, and handling. Highlighting these updates is the introduction of the RS e-tron GT performance3, Audi’s first fully electric RS performance model. The new Audi e-tron GT models are now available for order.
Audi’s latest e-tron GT models set new benchmarks in performance, with enhanced charging power and electric all-wheel drive delivering superior long-distance capabilities and notable performance improvements. The innovative chassis design offers an unparalleled balance between driving comfort, ride comfort, and dynamic handling, according to Gernot Döllner, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG.
Distinctive Design and Technology
The new e-tron GT series variants feature a progressive design paired with advanced technology, each presenting a unique look. The Audi S e-tron GT exemplifies elegant sportiness with its cohesive and expressive front end. The black mask encircling the closed, inverted Singleframe grille underscores the e-tron design language, with embossed structures giving it a precise three-dimensionality. Enhancing its sporty appearance, a body-colour strip above the Singleframe, more defined air curtains, and an aerodynamic diffuser with vertical fins dominate the rear end.
The Audi RS e-tron GT takes sportiness to a new level with a radically designed front end featuring the RS-typical 3D honeycomb structure. The rear end, inspired by motorsports, includes a streamlined diffuser and L-shaped blades in body colour, with a vertical red reflector between the aero channels adding a racing touch.
The RS e-tron GT performance, Audi’s first fully electric RS performance model, stands out with unique design elements like a matte, darkened carbon roof and carbon camouflage elements. These are exclusive to the RS performance model, adding to its distinctiveness.
Updated Exterior and Interior Features
Audi’s new corporate identity (CI) enhances the e-tron GT family’s exterior, featuring a premium-quality, two-dimensional design of the four rings logo. The colour range includes nine exterior finishes, with exclusive options for the RS models. An optional Black Optics package adds dark accents to various exterior elements.
The wheel range has been updated with new 20-inch multi-spoke wheels for the S e-tron GT and RS models, and new six-twin-spoke wheels for the RS models. The RS e-tron GT performance features 21-inch forged and milled wheels with a matte dark finish, emphasizing its sporty ambitions.
Inside, Audi’s new CI influences redesigned seats, a new steering wheel, entry sills, and digital content. New wooden inlays and applications in Vanadium, an anthracite-coloured effect finish, are available. The RS models come with a midnight steering wheel marking and optional massage functions for the seats.
Sustainable materials like Dinamica microfiber and Cascade fabric are used extensively. Dinamica, resembling suede, is made from nearly 50% recycled polyester. Cascade is made from selvedge and recycled polyester with a natural fibre-like appearance. The carpeting and floor mats are made from Econyl, a material comprising 100% recycled nylon fibres.
Advanced Technology and Charging Capabilities
The Audi virtual cockpit provides detailed information on battery temperature and charging power, with RS-specific displays for the RS e-tron GT. The optional panoramic glass roof features PDLC technology, allowing it to switch from transparent to opaque at the touch of a button.
The electric all-wheel drive system uses permanent-magnet synchronous motors (PSM) on the front and rear axles, with outputs ranging from 176 kW (239 PS) for the S e-tron GT to 680 kW (925 PS) for the RS e-tron GT performance, making it Audi’s most powerful production car.
Despite the increased power, the weight of the rear axle motor has been reduced by around ten kilograms. The RS models feature a boost function, providing a 70 kW power increase for ten seconds.
Efficient Battery and Charging System
The high-voltage (HV) battery, with a gross capacity of 105 kWh (net: 97 kWh), is lighter and has higher energy density, allowing a range of up to 609 km. The maximum charging power has been increased to 320 kW, enabling the battery to charge from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes. The Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus offers detailed information about the HV battery’s status and charging performance.
Enhanced Suspension and Driving Dynamics
The new air suspension with 2-chamber/2-valve technology improves driving dynamics without sacrificing comfort. The active suspension system provides a balance between comfort and dynamic handling. Audi drive select dynamic handling system includes profiles like efficiency, comfort, and dynamic, with RS models offering RS1 and RS2 modes. The RS e-tron GT performance includes a performance mode optimized for challenging circuits.
All-wheel steering, combined with a direct front-axle steering ratio, enhances agility and manoeuvrability, reducing the turning radius by about 0.6 meters at low speeds and improving stability at high speeds.
Overall, the new Audi e-tron GT models blend advanced performance, innovative design, and sustainable materials, setting a new standard for electric vehicles. Visit for more details: https://cforcars.com/audi/audi-launches-new-e-tron-gt-models/

The King in Yellow, 1949
Much of this story is true. Warnings in the tags.
When I had pneumonia in my early teens, my mother brought home an armful of VHS tapes from the library to alleviate my misery. Knowing my snobbish preferences, she had grabbed copies of whatever she found in black and white. I remember something musical that I suspect was Busby Berkeley, I remember Mildred Pierce (a bad choice, as it turned out- the plot includes a young girl dying of pneumonia), and I remember a period piece called The King. I faded in and out of consciousness while I watched it, but it soothed me while I was awake and filled my fever dreams with sparkling images. I could never find it at the library again, nor at Hollywood Video or even early Netflix (once my father got the subscription service where you could order practically every DVD.) It was a bit odd that it seemed to be so obscure, given that it starred old Hollywood legend Ingrid Bergman (and, although I initially forgot it, Marlene Dietrich.) But even big stars make films that fall by the wayside in public memory, and it seemed that this was one of them. Google was no help, and at the time that was that.
I didn’t see the film again until I was watching Turner Classic Movies at my grandparents’ house. I loved watching that channel with them while filling out the crossword puzzle that came in their little TCM catalogue (all of it based on movie trivia, the only kind of crossword puzzle I’ve ever been any good at.) I recognized a certain scene where Bergman stood on a balcony, looking sadly at the moon. Her face had an expression of unutterable melancholy, and the crescent moon reflected in each of her eyes, giving the impression of two moons in one sky. I had very little time to catch up on what I’d missed before we had to go meet my cousins at the local Italian restaurant. I knew logically that the movie would be long over by the time we returned, but I turned on the channel anyway. Of course it had moved on to the lesser known Alfred Hitchcock film Stage Fright, but then I heard Marlene Dietrich sing before I could reach the remote to turn the tv off in disappointment. I knew that I had heard her sing before, and I knew it had been in The King.
Dietrich’s singing often comes across as somewhat campy today, with its Rs pronounced as Ws and it’s up-and-down tone. Madeline Kahn parodied it brilliantly in Blazing Saddles, such that it was a bit of a disappointment when I finally saw Dietrich’s western Destry Rides Again and found it to be lifeless and inconsistent next to the parody. Still, we remember her voice for a reason, and when I remembered it that night, I knew that its sardonic loneliness had rung through The King and made me shiver in my dreams.
The TCM schedule didn’t list The King in its time slot, but something else. If I had taken down the name, maybe it would have helped me find it. Sometimes the same movie runs under multiple names.
I didn’t see the film all the way through for many years, after I graduated college. I had found a web page that listed public domain film noir, including one called The Masked Guest. The website described it as a costume noir, and I curiously clicked on the link. Once I took in the credits running on the youtube window, my eyes grew wide and I did not move from my place on the bed until the movie had run its course.
The credits did indeed list it as The Masked Guest, but I recognized the strange repeating design on the title cards. They told me that in addition to starring Dietrich and Bergman, it was directed by Fritz Lang, and a character called The King was credited to “???” (I hadn’t seen that kind of credit since the first Karloff Frankenstein.) When the King finally appears on screen, though, it is unmistakably Orson Welles’s voice that booms out from behind his elaborate costume.
Here are the things I understand about The King, or The Masked Guest, or The Man in Yellow, or any other title I’ve found for it on public domain archive searches. Dietrich and Bergman play princesses named Cassilda and Camilla, respectively. Though Dietrich’s accent is German and Bergman’s is Swedish, they blend together to give the film the impression of being set somewhere on the map that I can’t quite find. The scenery and camera angles are very Freudian, with a great deal of archways and pillars.
The first act of The King involves frankly dull romantic plotlines, and the only thing that really saved it was the feeling that the suitors were supposed to be insipid, a suspicion lended credence by the fact that the love interests were listed so low on the credits. Dietrich is the scandalous sister and Bergman is the responsible one, though each takes on aspects of the other as the film goes on. Dietrich sings her song at a party, dressed in a fake 17th century gown and leaning against a piano. Although just a moment ago she had been laughing and joking with her gentleman friends, her song takes an abruptly serious tone (not seductive, not sentimental) as she tells the story of a city lost to time and memory. Bergman slips away from the party and onto the balcony, where we see that wonderful shot of the moon in her eyes. Is she mourning? Is she longing?
Dietrich cuts off the song by abruptly screaming “Not on us, King! Not on us!” She flees the party weeping and shaking, and from there on the film goes mad.
Though uncommon, it is not unknown for movies to switch between black and white and color, done most famously in The Wizard of Oz. The film The King recalls here is the silent Phantom of the Opera, which had a masqued ball scene tinted in shades of red and green that tried to provide a whole spectrum of color. The effect is even odder in the masqued ball scene in The King- the only color that appears is yellow, highlighting things like candlelight, Dietrich’s hair, a passing gown, a vase of tulips. It also highlights one particular masked figure, whose expressionless mask was decorated with a black pattern against a sickening yellow canvas- the same pattern I had seen in the opening credits. The color of his costume causes him to stand out from the crown even when he is far off in the background, just one head among many others. It must have taken long and painstaking hours of work to color in every frame.
Dietrich still seems broken up days after her song, though Bergman tries to coax her into joining the dance. Finally, at midnight, Dietrich goes out to face the party, but only to demand that every guest remove their mask. The yellow man with a voice that once warned America about a Martian invasion tells her that he wears no mask. Bergman reacts with disbelief, but Dietrich starts laughing like a woman unhinged. As she laughs, the yellow hue seeps out of the King’s clothing and face- if that really is his face- and begins to color the entire ballroom crowd. I think that what follows is bloodshed, but if there is any carnage (doubtful under the Production Code censorship), the blood must be tainted yellow and splashed across the camera like daubs of paint. Dietrich’s laughing face is doubled and tripled on screen until it dissipates, but even when it has faded offscreen, it feels as if her ghost continues to watch the proceedings.
By the end of the scene (filled with German Expressionist camera angles and mad violin screeching), only Bergman remains alive, cowering behind a grandfather clock. It does not hide her for long. The King steps towards her and extends his hand. Reluctantly, but with a fatalistic expression, Bergman takes his hand. They walk away together hand in hand. The screen shifts back into black and white, and then the credits roll before we can get a good look at all the bodies in the scene. The credits say it was based on a play called The King in Yellow, although Raymond Chandler of all people apparently had a hand in the screenplay.
As I said, that’s what I think I understand. It’s an oddly experimental art film for the era, and it may be awaiting rediscovery by the film festival crowd. I feel as if I alone know about it, though that obviously isn’t true. It is my little secret; I tell myself that my husband doesn’t need me to show it to him, it would be too odd for his taste. I’ve rewatched it many times, even if it seems like each time I search for it I have to find a different video platform or torrent. Naturally, no subscription site has it available. Maybe I am the last person who will ever watch it. Maybe no one will ever think to look for it again after me, and it will be completely forgotten.
When I was hospitalized, they let me use my laptop at night before I went to sleep (no power cord, though, in case I tried to hang myself.) I found a youtube link for The Man in Yellow, and I watched it every night. It wasn’t a soothing sort of movie, but having it in my mind all day and then watching it in the evening allowed me to think as opposed to crying endlessly while the other patients shot me awkward looks. I clutched the childhood stuffed animals my mother brought me when she visited, and I always held them extra tight when the masquerade scene started.
I watched the movie when I had to move away from my beloved San Francisco. I watched the movie when I lost the last of my grandparents. I watched the movie when a doctor unwisely took me off my medication and I couldn’t manage to eat for a month. I watched the movie when the whole world got sick and we all locked ourselves away from each other. I don’t mind that I don’t entirely know what it means. I don’t mind the nightmares. In the hospital they kept telling us about mindfulness exercises, and maybe the fact that I can focus on every aspect of the film so closely that all else falls away is the reason I keep coming back to it. I’m being mindful. I’m not letting any stray thoughts invade my head. I’m just watching and waiting for the next beat of every scene, leading inexorably to that yellow-stained bloodbath.
Streaming media doesn’t last forever, and each time I find The King, I worry that it will be the last time I ever can find it. My efforts to download it have so far been unsuccessful, odd considering that it is in the public domain.
When I watch The King, I am once again a child in my bedroom being cared for in the throes of agonizing sickness. I am once again sitting on the couch with my grandparents in front of the tv, both of them alive and lucid again. I am once again in the hospital, all alone except for my stuffed animals and the staff trying to keep me alive. The film reflects in my eyes like the crescent moon in Ingrid Bergman’s gaze. It sings to me.
I am determined to find a way to obtain The King under any name so that I never have to worry about losing it. During some of the worst times in my life, it is the only thing that has kept me sane.

Tales from an Indian crematorium
Listen to this story:Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh – Deen Dayal Verma has never burned as many bodies as he has this year. Sitting under the shade of a cement roof at a crematorium in Barabanki city, the 55-year-old who has been a crematorium worker for the past six years, says with a wry smile: “Actually, no dead body has come today. Has COVID-19 come to an end or are the bodies being taken to other crematoriums?” In India, where cremation on a funeral pyre made from wood has long been part of an elaborate ritual to honour the dead, the religious significance of laying the dead to rest has been all but abandoned as the bodies stack up during the second deadly wave of COVID. As Deen Dayal waits for the work to come in, he puffs on a bidi (a mini-cigar filled with tobacco flakes and wrapped in a tendu leaf tied with string). “I have not kept count of the bodies, but in April and May, I worked from 5 in the morning until midnight every day. I think I would have lit more than 100 funeral pyres in April alone. There has been no end to the dead bodies coming to this crematorium,” he says. “Before the second wave of COVID-19, three to four dead bodies used to come in per week.”
The Barabanki crematorium, where Deen Dayal Verma works. Barabanki is 30km (19 miles) east of the Uttar Pradesh state capital of Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh is India’s most populous state Deen Dayal is the only person still working at this crematorium. He has a small, two-room house allocated to him on the site, where he lives with three of his children – his elder daughter, Soni, 14, takes care of her two younger brothers during the day. His wife has returned to the family home in a village 48km (30 miles) away, where his other four children remain, but Deen Dayal has not visited for two months for fear of passing the virus on to others. The crematorium has become so busy that Deen Dayal says he no longer waits for the municipal cleaner to arrive each morning – he gets on and does it himself so that families will not have to wait around for the crematorium to be ready. “Over the last two months, the workload has increased so much that I have now developed a habit of waking up early. I don’t want to make people wait with the dead body; I do not feel good for people waiting with the dead bodies for their turn for the cremation.” The state of Uttar Pradesh, which is more populous than Brazil, has been the worst affected in India during the second wave of COVID, with people struggling to obtain oxygen, hospital admissions and healthcare. The state has recorded more than 20,787 deaths, with thousands more thought to have gone unreported due to the lack of proper COVID testing. As of June 3, India had officially recorded 337,787 deaths.
Deen Dayal Verma, a crematorium worker, sits outside the two-room lodgings he shares with three of his children. He remains outside the house at all times
‘Family members refuse to touch the bodies’
The once highly respectful ritual of cremating family members has undergone a huge shift as a result of the pandemic, says Deen Dayal. Before, cremations were an important cultural custom in the Hindu faith. People came in large numbers to pay their respects to the dead before the body was placed on a funeral pyre and burned. According to Hindu scripture, “just as old clothes are cast off and new ones worn, the soul leaves the body after death and enters a new one”. Hindus believe that burning the dead body and, hence, destroying it, helps the departed soul get over any residual attachment it may have developed for the deceased person. “Earlier, cremations were performed with the utmost respect but now for many of the families, it has become a burden. In many cases, funerals have been reduced to just getting rid of the dead body because people are very scared of contracting the virus,” he explains. “Many times, family members refuse to touch the dead body, and in many cases the family members insist that I only show them the face once before lighting the pyre, so they can pay their last respects.” Deen Dayal has never been tested for COVID, nor has he been vaccinated. He has no personal protective equipment (PPE). All he has been given by the local municipal government which oversees the crematorium is a “Corona prevention kit”, containing vitamin C tablets, zinc tablets and five days worth of an anti-parasitic drug. “I listen to everyone. I wear a mask and gloves, use a sanitiser, although I know that is not enough, but I do not have any other option,” he says.
Deen Dayal Verma outside the crematorium lodgings he shares with his daughter, Soni, 14 and two younger sons. His six-year-old son, Sunny, fractured his wrist while playing with his siblings For the cremation of each dead body, Deen Dayal is paid Rs 500 (about $7) and he asks the family to provide gloves, masks and sanitiser. His family is terrified by his job – he speaks to his wife and other four children by telephone as often as possible. “There are nine people in my family (himself, his wife and seven children) and they all are very scared of the COVID situation. They keep asking me to stop doing this work but if I stop setting up and lighting the pyres, then who will do it and what will I do? The only work I know is this. If I stop doing it, how will I feed the family?” he asks. “I try to take precautions to keep myself away from the infection but this is a very risky job. I have to do it because I want to treat every dead body with the utmost respect, otherwise I will not be able to face God when I die.”
Soni applies oil to her father’s arm outside the family house in Uttar Pradesh
‘I see him crying at night’
Deen Dayal’s 14-year-old daughter, Soni, says that the family back in their home village will not allow him to visit for at least four days after cremating a dead body these days – so there is little point in him making the 48km (30-mile) journey there every Tuesday as he used to do. At their lodgings on the crematorium site, he must remain outside at all times. “To answer nature’s calls he goes out in the fields and does not use the toilet we have access to. He eats and sleeps outside and sometimes he gets irritated when he cannot play with my younger brothers. “I have seen him cry at night but he never mentions the reason behind it. “We all know that he misses us a lot and we also miss him. It has been months we have gone out with him in the evening to the markets to eat samosa and do grocery shopping. We miss the bedtime stories about the Gods he used to tell us.” Soni does her best to care for her younger brothers while her father is working, but it is not easy. One of them – six-year-old Sunny – fractured his wrist while playing.
Inside the lodgings at the crematorium where Deen Dayal lives with three of his children Back at the family home, his wife and eldest daughter work as domestic help in nearby houses, earning about $130 per month. They say this is enough to feed the family. There is no gas connection to either that home or the crematorium lodgings, so the family uses firewood to cook. “We tried very hard to convince our father to return to our native village and not do the cremation work but he is adamant,” says a frustrated Soni. “He did not listen to us and is still doing the work despite knowing the large number of people dying from COVID. “My mother has had arguments with him, but he has never paid any importance to what we were saying. My father has also developed a drinking habit and in the past, he had liver problems, so we are extremely worried for him.”
Earthenware pots containing the ashes of the dead hang on a tree outside the crematorium in Belai, close to the Ganges river
‘I have to do the job of the priest’
In Belai Ghat, on the banks of the holy Ganges river in Belai, Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, about 64km (40 miles) north of Lucknow, Ankit Dwivedi is telling someone over the phone to make sure the body they have is tightly wrapped in a plastic sheet if they want him to perform a cremation. These days, with some priests afraid to oversee cremations due to the pandemic, the 23-year-old crematorium worker also performs their duties. Although he is not a priest and has received no training, it is Ankit who now quickly recites the funeral hymns before lighting a body. “A lot of people are dying and no one knows the reason ,” he says. “There are high chances of COVID being behind this sudden surge in deaths so to protect myself, I have been asking everyone to wrap the dead bodies in a plastic sheet before they come to the ghats .” In more normal times, this is a deeply holy site – the Ganges river is considered the holiest in India. After bodies are cremated, family members bring the ashes from the nearby crematorium to place in the river, in the belief that the soul of the dead person will be cleansed by the waters. Now, because crematoriums cannot keep up with the workload, Ankit says, more and more families have taken to burying the dead – once considered unacceptable in the Hindu religion. There is no other choice – the crematoriums are full and people have to get rid of dead bodies quickly because of the risk of infection and the social stigma attached to those who have died from COVID. “This COVID disease has changed a lot of things. People now want to bury their dead ones if they can’t get the cremation done as fast as possible. The reasons behind it are both poverty and fear of COVID,” Ankit says. “Before the pandemic, 10 to 12 cremations were being performed at this ghat each week but in the months of April and May I have performed at least 25 cremations every week and never in my life have I seen such a large number of deaths. I pray to God to not show us a similar situation ever again.”
Ankit Dwivedi, 23, pictured outside the house he shares with his parents and older brother in Belai, near the Ganges river where he is a cremation worker Every day is the same for Ankit. “I wake up at around 5.30am and then I reach the river bank by 6am. I stay there all day and eat whatever I get from the people who bring dead bodies with them or else I buy cucumber, watermelon and other things that are grown on the river bank. “Before the pandemic, I used to pedal myself home on my bicycle in the afternoon for lunch but the situation is not the same now. I have isolated myself as I do not want to harm my family by carrying any kind of infection with me. My parents are older and I fear for them. My stuff has been separated by the family and my dinner is placed outside my room before I reach home.” Once he is there, he remains isolated in his own room, and no one else is allowed to enter. Ankit comes from a family of cremation workers. They have been in the funeral business for more than five decades. They have also studied the Sanskrit language, so that they can learn about the cremation rituals in Hinduism.
A funeral pyre burns at the Bahriach crematorium close to the shore of the Ganges river in Belai, Unnao He used to have a busy life outside of work – but no longer. “Now I cannot even meet my friends or go to play cricket with them. All I do is perform the cremations, eat, sleep and repeat. This has been my routine on loop for the last two months and there is nothing else happening in my life. “All I care about these days is my stock of face masks and sanitiser because these are the only things that are going to save me from COVID and my family will be safe only if I am safe,” says Ankit. “I had a habit of massaging my parents’ feet every night before going to bed but now I keep a distance of 10 feet when I am with my mother and only have contact with my father when he comes to leave me my tea early in the morning. This is a really sad feeling because there is no life without family and if this pandemic does not come to an end, then I am sure I will either slip into depression or die from the isolation.”
Ankit washes his hands carefully after work before entering the family home
‘I feel like a vulture who feeds on dead bodies’
The one “bonus” is that Ankit, the sole breadwinner in the household, is earning a good deal more money. The standard fee of Rs 500 ($7) per body he cremates has risen to Rs 2,000 ($28). But the family finds little joy in this. “Performing cremations is our family business but now I feel like a vulture who feeds on dead bodies,” says Ankit’s father, 50-year-old Vipin Bihari, who has retired from funeral work. “I have never seen such a large number of deaths in my life and my son has to see and work in this unfortunate situation. Our family never thought of changing the profession but now I feel like our kids should do something else.” Dismayed by the prospect of the family remaining in the cremation business, Vipin says he is considering opening a grocery shop nearby which he can pass on to his children instead. He adds that his wife desperately misses their son even though he is living in the next room. “Every night my wife asks me to stop Ankit from going to the river bank and performing the cremations but if he stops doing this then what else will we do to earn our bread and butter? She cries, she fights with me. She fights with Ankit too but consoles herself watching the family and understanding that Ankit is the sole breadwinner now. We do not own land and our elder son is sick so all the burden of earning is on Ankit only.”
Ankit reads alone in his room at the family home. He must stay separated from the rest of his family in case has contracts COVID during his work at a crematorium Ankit says he feels “like I am cheating my religion because people are burying more dead bodies and not burning them as per the religious rituals but what more can I do? “As my father says, ‘we are no more than vultures’. We feed on dead bodies. The more dead bodies, the more money but no one pays us happily. A lot of time I feel that this money is even worse than begging but this is my life and I accept it the way it is.” Read the full article

Infinix S5 Lite Review
The sub-Rs. 10,000 price segment is huge in terms of potential buyers, and many smartphone manufacturers are doing their best to grab a share of it. In the race to dominate this segment, we have seen manufacturers trying every possible thing including smartphones with quad-camera setups, AMOLED displays, and big batteries. Such features were distant dreams even a few months ago. Customers are spoilt for choice, and can be more demanding than ever before. Infinix has thrown one more smartphone into the mix, called the Infinix S5 Lite.
Just like its elder sibling, the Infinix S5, this Lite model sports a hole-punch display. This type of display has been a feature on some flagship devices, and hasn’t even trickled down to a lot of mid-range smartphones yet, so we weren’t expecting to see one on a phone priced at Rs. 7,999 just yet. How good is the display, and has Infinix cut other corners to deliver this feature at such an aggressive price? We put the Infinix S5 Lite to the test to find out.
Infinix S5 Lite design
The Infinix S5 Lite looks a lot like the Infinix S5 (Review), and it will be impossible to distinguish between the two when looking at them from the front. A 6.6-inch display dominates the face of this smartphone, and Infinix claims a 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. The company has opted for a 20:9 aspect ratio which isn’t very common at this price point either. The IPS display panel has decent viewing angles but we found it to be low on brightness. The device also lacks an ambient light sensor, just like the Inifinix S5, which could be a big problem. You’ll need to adjust brightness manually all the time. The camera hole is on the top left corner. Also, for what it’s worth, the front camera wasn’t perfectly centred within its hole on our review unit.
We found the Infinix S5 Lite to be slightly taller than usual, and we needed to shuffle it in our hand. The power and volume buttons are on the right, and are reachable when using this phone one-handed. The SIM tray is on the left, and has two Nano-SIM slots as well as a dedicated microSD card slot. The Infinix S5 Lite sports a Micro-USB port at the bottom, which is acceptable for the price but we have seen Xiaomi introduce the USB Type-C port at this price point. Next to the Micro-USB port is the 3.5mm headphone jack and the loudspeaker.
The highlight feature of the Infinix S5 Lite is its hole-punch display
At the back, the S5 Lite sports a triple camera setup which is one big difference compared to the quad-sensor array on the S5. There’s also has a quad-LED flash which seems like overkill. The fingerprint sensor is positioned near the camera module, and we found this placement to be a little too high for our liking. Infinix offers the smartphone in three colour options: Midnight Black, Quetzal Cyan, and Violet. We had the Quetzal Cyan version for this review. The Infinix S5 had a slightly rounded back which made it comfortable to hold, but the S5 Lite has a flat back which is made out of plastic just like the phone’s frame.
Infinix ships the S5 Lite with a protective case and a screen protector along with a 6W charger, which is a bit of a letdown when you consider the 4,000mAh battery that this smartphone packs.
Infinix S5 Lite specifications and software
The Infinix S5 Lite is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz. This is now a fairly old SoC and it does show its age. Newer smartphones such as the Realme 5 (Review) sport the more recent Qualcomm Snapdragon 665. There is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage which are both good for the price.
This phone supports Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi, 4G with VoLTE, GPS, FM radio, and USB-OTG. While the ambient light sensor is missing on this device, it does have other basic sensors.
The Infinix S5 Lite has a triple camera setup on the rear
The software on this phone is similar to what we have seen on other Infinix devices. It’s called XOS Cheetah 5.5 and is based on Android 9 Pie. There are quite a few customisations to the UI but it is still easy to find your way around it. What we didn’t like was the amount of bloatware that comes preinstalled on this smartphone. Apps such as Palmstore and AHA Games are alternatives to the Google Play store and suggest several apps for you to try. PHX Browser, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp also come preinstalled on the S5 Lite. We did see spammy notifications from some of these apps, which got annoying very quickly.
If you don’t fancy the camera hole, you do get the option to mask it with a black band. You can also swap the traditional three-button navigation layout for gestures. The UI lets you enable a Smart Panel which is a drawer with icons to launch a favourite app or perform an action, such as taking a screenshot.
Just like its elder sibling, the S5 Lite has a feature called “Intelligent voice broadcast” which announces the latest news, the names of callers, and senders of incoming messages out loud. It can also alert you to notifications from apps such as Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. This does not read out the contents of messages which somewhat satisfied our privacy concerns.
Infinix S5 Lite performance and battery life
As we’ve said before, the MediaTek Helio P22 is now an old SoC and it shows its age when you push it. Regular tasks such as making calls, scrolling through apps, and WhatsApp messaging were handled quite well on the S5 Lite, but we noticed long load times when we launched heavy apps. The phone has 4GB of RAM which helps apps resume quickly from the background. The fingerprint scanner, as well as face recognition, were quick. We found the screen’s brightness to be slightly too low, and the speaker to be tinny.
The Infinix S5 Lite sports a Micro-USB port
We ran our usual set of benchmarks to gauge this smartphone’s performance, and the numbers weren’t bad but weren’t impressive either. The S5 Lite didn’t manage to run AnTuTu 8 but it scored 157 points in Geekbench 5’s single-core test and 821 points in the multi-core test. In GFXBench, the smartphone scored 11fps in Manhattan 3.1 and 25fps in the T-Rex scene.
We played PUBG Mobile on the S5 Lite, and the smartphone defaulted to the Low graphics preset. The game stuttered occasionally which forced us to drop the frame rate further. The phone did not heat up to a noticeable extent when playing games for short durations, but it did get warm to the touch after a while. Playing PUBG Mobile for 18 minutes resulted in a 6 percent battery drop.
The 4,000 mAh battery delivers decent battery life if you don’t stress the phone out. With regular tasks such as calling, messaging with WhatsApp, and using Google Maps for navigation, the smartphone lasted about a day an a half. In our HD video loop test, the S5 Lite went on for 13 hours and 46 minutes. The supplied 6W charger is extremely slow and takes over 4 hours to charge the smartphone completely, which was disappointing. Infinix should have incorporated quick charging and included at least a 10W charger in the box. We would recommend that buyers invest in a faster charger. Competition such as the Redmi 8A (Review) support faster charging.
Infinix S5 Lite cameras
The triple camera setup at the back consists of a 16-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a low-light sensor of unknown resolution. For selfies, this phone has a 16-megapixel shooter with an f/2.0 aperture. We found the camera app to be very basic in terms of the shooting modes it offers. There is no night mode, which is surprising considering the fact that there is a dedicated low-light sensor.
The S5 Lite has a 4,000mAh battery and three rear cameras
Focusing was a little slow, and we needed to wait for the phone to lock focus before taking shots. Dynamic range wasn’t great, and as a result dark areas in our sample shots were underexposed. Images weren’t sharp, and details were lacking in objects at a distance. We also noticed a slight yellow colour tone in some of the daylight shots we took.
For close-up shots, the smartphone needed even longer to focus. It also didn’t always set the exposure right. We often had to tap the screen to set the focus and exposure. The resulting shots were still below average in quality, and the S5 Lite didn’t produce good depth-of-field in close-up shots.
There is a Bokeh mode which can be used to take portrait shots. It lets you adjust the level of blur before you take a shot. Photos taken in this mode seemed to have decent separation between the subject and the background, but the S5 Lite tended to overexpose backgrounds.
Tap to see full-size Infinix S5 Lite camera samples
Low-light shots were disappointing as well. They appeared artificially boosted, and grain was visible on zooming in to shots. Since there is no Night mode, we had to wait for the AI to kick in and detect low-light conditions. It seems as though the smartphone puts its dedicated low-light camera to use when the AI detects low light, since resulting shots were a little brighter and had marginally better detail. Either way, low-light photography isn’t a strong point of this phone, and you’ll probably have to use the flash for better shots.
Selfies taken with the front shooter were good enough for social media. You do have the option to take shots in Bokeh mode, and we saw good edge detection. Infinix has also added an AR Shot mode which lets you place stickers on subjects before taking a shot. These are fun, and we see can people using them often. Video recording resolution tops out at 1080p for both the primary rear camera as well as the selfie camera. There is no electronic stabilisation, which means that output is shaky. Video recording with a light source nearby offered better results than shooting out in the open. Colours appeared too boosted for our liking.

Clicked using AR Shot on the Infinix S5 Lite
Camera performance definitely needs some improvement, since the competition at the same price level manage better shots in most conditions. Considering that this smartphone has a dedicated low-light sensor, its low-light results should have been better.
Verdict
The Infinix S5 Lite is the most affordable smartphone with a hole-punch display in the market right now. Thanks to this feature, it looks a lot more premium than it actually is. However, using it does not feel as good. The choice of processor is questionable, considering that this segment has moved on to more powerful options. That’s not all – dropping the ambient light sensor from a smartphone priced at around Rs. 8,000 just isn’t acceptable. Having a big battery does help the S5 Lite deliver good battery life, but the lack of fast charging could be a problem for many people.
If you fancy a smartphone with a hole-punch display, you’d be better off waiting for something else, since too many corners have been cut on the Infinix S5 Lite to meet this price. We would recommend that you take a look at the Redmi 8 (Review) or consider recently discounted phones such as the Redmi Note 7S (Review) or Realme 3 Pro (Review) that have stood out in recent sales.

Recommendation for RS
This year, Old School Runescape players will probably be spoiled with all the"2018 Christmas Event", taking place in town of Lumbridge, and behaving as a pursuit -- the town's castle has been covered in snow to match the theme!Today there is still not a huge range of winter-season events, except for what we've got across the names that do support the merry season, we're pretty spoiled by the programmers!
Overwatch likely has the most well-known holiday occasion -- Winter Wonderland.
If you want to see a community get far excited over a fresh decorative, venture over into r/SymmetraMains -- they lost their heads as it was declared the hero they play the most of will be receiving a fabulous new skin.Beyond the makeup and events, Overwatch maps are also adorned in seasonal decoration -- this past season, Blizzard World was given a coat of snow -- in preceding decades, Hanamura, Kings Row and Eco Point: Antarctica have received decorations for the time.
And that's where a great deal of games usually finish their seasonal thrill -- with decorating maps and cosmetics -- that is great! As if we'd anticipate a game-changing addition to our games in this time of year!Destiny 2 runs an event called"Dawning", which taps into the quest-oriented strand of seasonal events, tasking players with making holiday goodies. A holiday-themed Sparrow lies in the conclusion of the tasks completion.
Grand Theft Auto: Online gives its map a snow-job, also enables players to select snowballs up and toss them. Players can also be given Christmas-themed cosmetics to dress in -- news masks, clothing and the like. Rs gold includes a similar strategy -- dust2 gets Christmas lights, snow is put in the games U.I Overlay, a MusicKit, performed by the Midnight Riders, has been made in the past, plus also a"Seasons Greetings" departure overlay premiered in the past, which you could equip so that enemies could observe when you eliminate them.
Players may also access 30-day versions through the matches care-package system.Events like this are a fantastic reminder to players of a few items -- that developers work hard to maintain games well-maintained and filled with interesting content, that the experiences are enjoyable, and that Christmas is a time for sharing and observing.

This file contains a list of novels and stories which contain one or more Artificial Intelligence (AI) characters. Most of characters whose intelligence places a title on this list are effected or affected through the use of hardware, software or genetic alteration (rarely). Additions and corrections would be most appreciated as the list compiler <Garet Sheppard> has not read all of the works listed here - or even a significant portion, and will probably never have a chance to do so. My thanks to Dan Bloch and Robert Stanley for suggestions, ideasand editing.

ST:TNG stuff (Mr. Data)
expanded definitions:
All of the following should be able to pass the Turing test, and should be/have been (at the minimum in their original forms) products of human or alien intelligence. "Standard" definitions of intelligence apply.
androids (A) - robots in humanoid form, these can be mechanical and/or organic (_Do androids Dream of Electric Sheep_).
computer systems (C) - these range in size and type from a fair sized mini computer (_Ariel_) to an planetary
computer (_Colossus_) to a galactic network with one single mind (_Speaker for the Dead_).
humans in computerized/program/digitized form (H) - these tend to be copies of people which only exist in computerized form - such as the hacker in (_Neuromancer_) and folks of City Memory in (_Eon_).
non-mechanical, human created intelligences (N) - beings which have been (in most cases) genetically altered or are biological (_Blood Music_). NOT forced evolution
other intelligences (O) - beings which are difficult to categorize: anything Berserker, tanks, books, planets, planets (Asimov's Gaia), satellites, etc. Where (O) is used, the particular form has also been named when known.
programs (P) - able to move independently from one computer system to another, usually created by a program(mer) _The Adolescence or P1_).
robots (R) - constitute functional and specialized beings which are mobile and are not (S) or (P). Anything between vaguely humanoid (Dr. Who's Cybermen) and computers on wheels (R2D2) can be considered robots of the 'functional' robot class. 'Specialized' robots are those which are geared/optimized to performing one job - they can look like either androids (The Terminator) or functional robots (Val's from _Pirates of the Thunder_).
ships/computer systems (S) - essentially an (A) which is only mobile in the form of a (star) ship (_Pirates of the Thunder_). However, there are cases where the (S) is essentially a well programmed (R) which is only mobile as stated (_The Number of the Beast_).
cyborgs/mechanical humans (Y) - strictly speaking these are not AI. The definition here is that the (Y) is either (1) a human brain in control of a computer system/star ship (_The Ship Who Sang_) where at the very least the person's brain has been modified to contain computerized parts (_The Rapture Effect?_) (Did you ever wish that you could have a math co-processor?). (Y)'s are NOT (for the purpose of this list) organic beings whose natural body parts have beenreplaced by mechanical ones (ie. Luke Skywalker after his forearm was severed, or bionic people). unsure/no idea (?) - just what it says, so someone PLEASE read it and tell me what type is is and whether it belongs here.
evolved AI being (e) - usually begin as man-made devices hich then develop intelligence on their own (_Valentina_).

Coronavirus Outbreak in UK LATEST Updates
UK to quarantine travellers from Spain: Sunday Times
Britain’s government is set to announce all travellers from Spain arriving after midnight (2300 GMT) on Saturday will need to spend two weeks in quarantine in case they are infected with coronavirus, the Sunday Times newspaper reported.
“Second wave of Covid-19 there has prompted decision to kick Spain off the safe country list,” the newspaper’s political editor, Tim Shipman, said on Twitter. Britain’s health ministry had no immediate comment on the report.
Coronavirus LATEST Updates: India on Sunday registered a record number of single-day COVID19 tests on the second consecutive day. In the last 24 hours, 4,42,031 samples were tested.
Many high-risk areas across the country observed lockdown on Saturday as part of restrictions announced by different state and local authorities to contain the spread of the infection. While some states have announced a weekend-lockdown, others have clamped down restrictions for varying periods in areas with the high caseload.
While Uttar Pradesh observed another weekend lockdown, similar curbs were imposed for the second time this month in four Uttarakhand districts—Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital, and Udham Singh Nagar districts — which have reported 1,348 cases since 18 July.
Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Saturday announced a three-day total lockdown in the state from Monday to curb the spurt in infections.
A complete lockdown till Monday morning was imposed in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, which has been enforcing shutdown every Sunday, similar to that in Madhya Pradesh. Lockdown restrictions also kicked-in in the state's capital Bhopal from Friday night. Bihar and Manipur have imposed a state-wide shutdown from 16 and 23 July, respectively.
In Maharashtra, civic authorities of Nagpur city announced a voluntary 'janta curfew' on Saturday and Sunday, with only essential services remaining functional.
All shops were shut and transport services were suspended in West Bengal as part of the twice-a-week lockdown in the state.
Jammu went under a 60-hour lockdown from 6 pm on Friday, while a six-day complete lockdown has been imposed across the Kashmir Valley except Bandipora since Thursday.
Amidst this, India's COVID-19 tally went past 13 lakh on Saturday, just two days after it crossed the 12 lakh mark, while the recoveries mounted to 8,49,431, according to the Union Health Ministry.
With 48,916 fresh cases as of 8 am Saturday, the country's coronavirus infection count stands officially at 13,36,861 with 31,358 fatalities. Of them, 757 succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, data updated by the ministry showed.
West Bengal observes two-day lockdown
Normal life came to a grinding halt in the eastern state on Saturday as shops were shut and all modes of transport went off the roads as part of the West Bengal government's plan to clamp restrictions two days a week.
A similar lockdown will take place next Wednesday.
More than 3,800 people were arrested for flouting lockdown guidelines on Thursday when it was first imposed. Flight operations at the Kolkata airport were also suspended during the lockdown.
Police patrolled all major traffic intersections in the metropolis to keep a check on the movement of people. Barricades were also put up in various parts of the state to stop people from coming out of their homes, officials said.
In Karnataka, the civic chiefs of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi confirmed that the districts will follow the Sunday lockdown starting 9 pm on Saturdays. The week-long lockdown imposed in Dakshina Kannada was lifted Thursday morning, while Udupi has closed its district borders till the month-end.
According to news agency ANI, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagar Palike (BBMP) commissioner N Manjunatha Prasad said that lockdown curbs will in place in the city over the weekend and legal action will be taken against those who violate the norms.
Karnataka also reported a record 5,072 new case, with nearly half of the cases coming from capital Bengaluru urban alone. The state also reported 27 deaths, taking the number of casualties to 1,796.
In Maharashtra's Nagpur city a voluntary 'janta curfew' was announced for Saturday and Sunday but the civic chief has warned of strict curfew if the rules are not followed.
Three-day lockdown in Tripura from Monday
In a televised address, Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb said that a state-wide lockdown will begin at 5 am on 27 July and last till 5 am on 30 July.
"Our fatality rate is only 0.29 percent while the infection rate is far less than the national average. But, since there is no other more effective way of fighting the coronavirus, we have to go for a brief lockdown period again," he said, adding that rapid antigen test will commence soon.
The lockdown will have 21 exemptions, including that to emergency and essential services as well as to print and electronic media but those violating the curbs will be fined, said a government order.
Those not wearing masks will be fined Rs 200 for the first time and Rs 400 the next time, the government order stated, adding a penalty of Rs 1,000 will be imposed on those flouting social distancing norms.
Lockdown restrictions have also been announced in the northeastern states of Nagaland and Meghalaya. Nagaland capital Kohima will be under a shutdown till 31 July, while curbs will come into effect in Dimapur from Sunday till 2 August. The Meghalaya government has also decided to impose a complete lockdown in Shillong agglomeration from 26 to 29 July.
Southern states continue reporting high numbers
Besides Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, the second-worst-hit state by the virus, too recorded its biggest daily spike. The state breached two lakh coronavirus cases on Saturday with 6,988 fresh infections, pushing the aggregate infections in the state to 2,06,737.
The upward trend in new cases continued in Andhra Pradesh as well with 7,813 patients testing positive, taking the overall case count to 88,671. Another 52 COVID-19 patients succumbed while 3,208 were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, the latest bulletin said.
The total number of COVID-19 patients discharged so far touched 43,255 and the toll mounted to 985.
Kerala saw its biggest single-day spike so far, recording 1,103 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the infection count to 18,098. As many as 9,420 persons are under treatment. Thiruvananthapuram, where the government had declared that two areas are witnessing community transmission, has 2,666 active cases, the highest in the state.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan tests positive
Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that he has tested positive for the virus. "I had symptoms of COVID-19. In the test report I was found positive. I appeal to all my colleagues that whoever has come in my contact to get tested for coronavirus. My close contacts should move to quarantine," Chouhan said in a tweet.
— Shivraj Singh Chouhan (@ChouhanShivraj) July 25, 2020
// //
Talking to PTI, state BJP's media in-charge Lokendra Parashar said that Chouhan was shifted to COVID-19 designated Chirayu Medical College and Hospital in the state capital.
Maharashtra CM stresses on balance between health and economy
Meanwhile, Uddhav Thackeray, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, the worst-hit state by COVID-19, Saturday said that he was not in favour of complete lifting of the coronavirus-induced curbs in the state only to address the economic concerns.
"I will never say that the lockdown will be lifted completely. But I have started reopening a few things gradually. Once reopened, it shouldn't be shut again. Hence, I prefer taking steps in phases. You can't just think about the economy or health. There needs to be a balance between the two," he said in an interview to Shiv Sena mouthpiece 'Saamana'.
From June onwards, the government had started lifting the restrictions in a phase-wise manner under its 'Mission Begin Again' initiative.
Maharashtra on Saturday registered 9,251 new COVID-19 cases, taking the cumulative count in the state to 3,66,368 while fatalities mounted by 257, including 116 in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), to 13,389, the state health department said.
Record 4.2 lakh samples tested in a day, says health ministry
With 4,20,898 samples tested in the past 24 hours, the health ministry said in a separate statement, the Tests Per Million (TPM) has increased to 11,485 and continues to maintain an upward trend.
Till Friday, a total of 1,58,49,068 tests for COVID-19 had been done in the country with 3.50 lakh tests being conducted every day over the last one week, the ministry said.
With increased testing of samples for COVID-19, the fatality rate has significantly dropped to 2.35 percent on Saturday and the recovery rate has surged to 63.54 percent, it said.

Hey folks! December is coming to an end, and we all know what that brings right? Holiday!!! It’s the month of Christmas, it’s the month of a New Year’s eve, and the perfect time to take a breather from your hectic work schedule. New Year’s is certainly worth planning for a family travel trip. It’s time to make your festivities memorable.
But which is the best place to go celebrate a new year? Which is the best place to be when the clock strikes midnight on December 31st? We’ve scouted some wonderful destinations around the world where hearing the midnight gong is a surreal experience. From the beaches of Rio de Janeiro to Berlin’s Brandenberg Gate, there are some iconic destinations on our handpicked list. We will cover one destination each day this month starting from today. Expect epic fireworks display, all-night dance parties, one-of-a-kind cultural traditions and lot more.
All you need to know about a quick online travel loan
Travel Season
We millennials love to work (or at least pretend to). We are so engrossed in our daily tasks, PPT presentations, client meetings, smoking breaks, unending gossip that we forget about the more important things in life, such as family, friends, pets and pizza.
Many of us promised our family that we would go on family vacation by the end of this year. Some of us might opt for spending the start of 2019 in a different country. Some might want to see the sun rise in the east (literally) or some would prefer ogling at the fireworks of Burj-Al-Dubai. We all have our individual plans and travel itinerary to follow.
Some of you might want to go on a world tour perhaps. Whatever the reason for the travel or whichever destination you want to visit, you will need funds. It is not easy for salaried individuals to keep aside some form of travel funds when there are so many priority expenses to cater to. So, what do salaried individuals do in order to go on a holiday? Apply for a travel loan of course.
What makes a travel personal loan so perfect for salaried millennials?
Travel Loan at Loan Singh
The unsecured aspect of a travel loan in itself makes it a potent financial solution in times of travel cash crunch. Suppose you remove the offline paperwork, delayed verification, repeated trips to the bank and delayed approval, from the travel loan availing process. And then you turn the process online, with only 3 documents (to be uploaded), an approximately 5-minute application process and doing all this from the confines of your home. These features, my friends, make an online travel loan even faster to avail.
An online travel personal loan is a fantastic option during times of sudden travel plans. Sometimes, your savings might not cover the cost of a complete travel holiday. You might sometimes need to supplement your emergency travel fund with a shot of cash from other sources. It is true that a number of traditional lending institutions provide travel loans. Need funds to go see any part of the world or explore India?
Travel To Barcelona
Our next New Year’s eve destination (the final one before we ring in the new year), is Barcelona in Catalunya, Spain. Considered one of Europe’s popular cities to visit, there are a ton of places to visit in this beautiful city. There are UNESCO world heritage sites, delectable tapas, shopping frenzy markets and calm beaches. Before we give you a brief on some of the popular places to see in Barcelona, remember that Barcelona is a big city.
There are a number of distinct areas, all connected via public transport system. It is a paradise city for sightseeing. Traveling around is easy via buses or metros. Also remember to book your appointments in advance as almost all the places we mention here are always frequented by tourists.
The Casa Batllo is one of the most famous of Antoni Gaudi’s houses in Barcelona. It is so popular that we recommend you visit this place first thing on the day of your Barcelona tour. The Casa Batllo is quite intriguing to look at from the outside. Its famous balconies are reminiscent of the Venetian mask. On the inside, the house features a visually stunning spine-like staircase. The roof terrace is shaped like a dragon, which was one of Gaudi’s favorite icons.
Not to be missed is another of Gaudi’s prominent houses – Casa Mila. Its famous façade is made up of limestone, which is nicknamed ‘La Pedrera’, which means Quarry. The façade is self-supporting and helps in freeing up the walls of load. The incredible view from the building provides for a stunning visual treat. The roof terrace area is famous for its chimney, stairways and skylights.
The next awesome place to visit is the Las Golondrinas Boat Tour. It gives you a great chance to take a break from walking throughout the day. From the port town, a number of operators can be contacted for boat tours. This gives you a great perspective of the Barcelona harbor. The Sagrada Familia is without doubt Antoni Gaudi’s masterpiece. It was during the construction of the famed basilica that Gaudi died. The construction started in 1882, and during his death in 1926, the work was almost half completed. Buy tickets to visit the basilica online. You can opt for a guided tour of the cathedral as well.
The final must-see destination in Barcelona is the Camp Nou football stadium. The home stadium of FC Barcelona, the Camp Nou is best accessed via a tour. It allows you to go behind the scenes, from the VIP suites to the locker rooms. A museum takes you through the entire history of the club.
