[I.D. A digital drawing of Dimension Hopper AU Leo in front of a photo of a bookshelf with a ladder attached. He smiles and holds up a hand in greeting, the other hand holding a Jupiter Jim comic book. He says "Hi! Would you like some comics??" End I.D.]
Donnie laughs, a bit awkwardly, as Beatrice leans forward in his arms and makes grabby hands (more like grabby tentacles) at the alternate Leo.
"Rrread! Uncle! Read!"
"Sorry about that, they're used to comics being something our Leo reads with them," Donnie says, doing his best to hide a smile. Beatrice kicks her heels against his stomach, something that would be rather more annoying if not for his natural armor there.

“Arrre you looking at that book /again/, Amal?”
A doting purr from his father, G’ahsan catches the young seeker curled up in a tree, aforementioned book securely in his grasps as he peeks down below..
The boy merely giggles before returning to his activity. crimson eyes in a squint of enjoyment as he looks over foreign words, a story that he can only follow simply because of the illustrations and his father having explained it.
Of course, there had been bits of song in his telling of the tale and so Amal naturally begins to hum to himself as he turns the page to such a moment..
“You can’t even rrread it, boy!” A hearty laugh that rumbles forth, the older seeker’s tail moves in big, joyous swishes. His voice is loud and truthfully the trees are not all that tall themselves. “Unlessss you’ve been learning Eorzean in secrrret?”
“Heh..” Oh, how the pages shimmer in the settling sunlight above.. A glittering ink of gold, a tragic tale of romance between sea creature and man.. Though he cannot read, he still can feel the chills of certain moments, the ache in his heart with the ending..
A lack of response but the nunh is not the least bit insulted; it’s just like Amal to get sucked into stories like that.
A fond sigh and shake of the head.. “Well, don’t let that sea creature’s beauty get you like the Prrrince. Supper will be done soon and I don’t want to find you starrrved to death.”
#g'amal-voice upon the summer winds#and ya amal got too distracted by his daydreams of the sea creature#that he ended up late#and was angrily hissed at the rest of the night by his siblings#'siblings' more like just children of the tribe

OH MY GOD THIS IS THE BEST THING IVE EVER RRREAD IN MY LIFE
hey if you felt up to it i would love prompt 26 🫶
i think your writing is amazing btw 🤍
you're amazing 🥹 (026 = people are jerks, but not you)
here's the prompt list.
Alex was shy, a bit too awkward around people in general, especially when he had a crush on someone like he did on you. He didn't even know your name or which classes you took, but he had your face etched in his mind like a daily mantra. He was already imagining what it would be like to introduce you to his parents and teach you some guitar fingerpicking. And the idea of it brought a sweet, light smile to his face.
With the help of some friends, Alex had learned your name and your college major, something he hadn't anticipated. This added an even more intelligent air around you in his imagination. His friends' voices had reached you, not directly, but through whispers, and Alex's blushing cheeks whenever he was near you made you wonder if he could feel something for you. Just like you, who had noticed him before in the hallways and the few pubs with good music that the city had to offer.
Alex had learned that you spent about two hours after Monday and Tuesday classes in the library of the building where he had some classes, studying. It seemed like you did it on purpose just to see him, and you did. You found yourself repeatedly doing that because you knew he would be there faithfully, and he never disappointed you in that regard.
On that afternoon, Alex felt more courageous. Despite his sweaty and trembling hands, he gently touched your shoulders to get your attention. You glanced at him quickly, your mouth opening in pleasant surprise. You had exchanged a few glances with him, as you always did, but you never imagined him coming up to you, and you weren't bold enough to do it either. Your cheeks grew warm, and Alex's ears turned a rather adorable shade of pink as you saw a strand of his hair falling onto his forehead while he looked at you, waiting for you to take off your earphones. You wished you could touch him, run your fingers through his curls, and get a closer look into his eyes. It was as if he were exactly what you had imagined while staring at him from afar for so long. He thought the same of you and was about to discover that you were as amazing as his mind had estimated.
"I'm sorry, what did you say?" he laughed, realizing he knew the song you were listening to and liked it too. "Can you help me with a statistics task? I'm not very good with numbers," he said politely, appearing to be radiant just from being near you, even though he was nervous.
You nodded, and he sat down next to you, opening his notebook. You laughed at him, offering a comforting smile to reassure him that you could help. You scooted closer to him so that you could smell his mix of cigarette and mint, which was refreshing, pretty much addictive. You'd be taking your time. Your arms lightly brushed against each other, creating an electric spark, but in the best possible way. He took the opportunity to rub his arm gently on yours.
While you were explaining, he looked at you with a calm and shining gaze. It seemed as though he was memorizing every detail of your face and hair, from the tip of your nose to the very last strand. It was clear that he wasn't really listening anymore, as his mind was captivated by your presence.
"You're not listening," you said sweetly, nudging him with your elbow and resting your head slightly on his shoulder. He leaned closer to you, but before your head could properly rest on him, you straightened up, determined to explain again. "No need, babe, I managed to understand," he said, warming your chest with the petname. He took the pencil from your hand slowly, as if each moment was a precious calculation not to be wasted. He let the back of his hand touch yours, and then he redid the problem, explaining it back to you since he failed to pay attention to the words coming out of your mouth because he was too lost your gentle gaze. He perfectly understood the subject at hand, but he had heard someone mention that you were good at that discipline, and it seemed like a good reason to strike up a conversation with you.
You smiled at him, knowing exactly what he had done. When he finished, he noticed the realization on your face, and his complexion became as vibrant as you had never seen before. Could you actually like someone you barely knew? It didn't seem fair. You remained silent for a while, feeling a bit awkward yet comfortable with each other, something that could become a usual occurrence and neither of you would mind. Your eyes traced his face, and when his hand reached up to brush away a stubborn strand of hair from your cheek, you wished you could feel more of his touch. Almost involuntarily, you held his hand, letting it rest on your shoulder. His gaze on you was so comforting, as if he genuinely wanted to be there in that moment and not take advantage of you in any way that men might think of doing. He made you feel good in his presence.
It had only been a few minutes together, but months of silently observing each other. He was just as you had photographed, and his reputation so far had been that of a decent person. You liked how he was quiet and introverted in public places. You needed to be with him, get know more of him. He was so close, just a few more centimeters, and his forehead would touch yours, and you could share the same breath. He wanted to have your scent embedded in him as much as you gasped for it. "You know, people here are quite jerks, but not you," you spoke softly and breathlessly, and slowly his nose touched yours, and he had such a sweet smile and light touch on your skin that it was worth the wait for him to finally make a move.

@crowcrafting: [Can I just say I’m so happy to see there’s still Air Gear people around? I literally screamed when you followed me ;;;;/]
[out of guts: unfortunately I think I’m the only person breathing in the fandom outside of @monumenttoyourfailure who rps as Kilik but his last post was in Aug. And the fandom has always been teenie tiny. I’m really happy that there are Air Gear fans out there so that makes me feel more confident. Hopefully I can do Emily justice. Emily is my waifu and I don’t say that a lot about my fave characters.]
#crowcrafting#out of guts#[yeeeeeessssss another air gear fan. that's like 2 today and 1 person thinking about rrreading it. I'm happy as fuck]

What do you think Von Drake and Bradford's relationship was/was like? Was the old Duck a father/grandfather type figure, a family friend or something else?
In Bradford's youth, Von Drake was definitely the closest thing he had to a father figure - he had a lot more in common with Von Drake than he did with Cornelius Coot and he saw Von Drake more frequently.
Von Drake encouraged his love of rrreading, wrrrriting and arrrrrithmetic. Von Drake taught him to play piano.
But you know what Von Drake didn't do that eventually caused a rift between them as Bradford grew older? Von Drake didn't try to get him out of the situation he was in with his grandmother. Von Drake could have done or said something and he didn't.
Von Drake laughed at Bradford's obvious signs of mental illness.
Their relationship is complicated, he still has a lot of respect for Von Drake, and maybe even still a little fondness, but for the most part, he is angered and hurt.
