Missed Connections || Tara & Ted

It seemed the universe was taunting her, or maybe she was just hallucinating. Either way she had been seeing the same guy everywhere she went for the last week. And everytime she tried to say anything, it was as if it just wasn’t meant to be. Or, again, maybe it was a hallucination.

The first instance, Tara had been showing Tana around the campus when she spotted him. Tall, cute and in a milk man’s outfit? “Ew, bitch don’t even think about it.” Tara frowned as Tana seemed to already be reading her mind. “But-“ “YOU’RE VEGAN.” well. She had a point there. And at any rate Tana was already dragging her away, so she couldn’t exactly make a scene. Still, she did try to catch his eyesight, she was never quite sure if she did.

The next time, Tara was sneaking into Theta to steal Bailey away for a hangout. She was waiting for her to come out when she caught sight of him for only a moment, he was tall enough that he was hard to miss. After this, she affectionately started referring to him as the milkman since she still didn’t know his name. She saw him one other time in passing on her way to therapy.

Starting to feel a little bit like a stalker, Tara had all but given up on finding this mystery man- which felt kinda ironic given her recent birthday theme. Whoever he was, he wasn’t meant for her to find, so she’d get him out of her head some other way. Sitting under one of the larger trees in the quad, she sketched a comic style version of him from that first day she saw him. Maybe getting him on paper would make her drop the whole thing.

Paraphiles are not proship

Okay. Normally I wouldn't dignify this sort of thing with an answer. However, I'm going to this one time. My sibling in Satan, paraphiles are part of the proship and profiction community whether you personally like it or not. Paraphile also isn't a substitute word for pedophilia/necrophilia/zoophilia. Paraphile means ANY sexual attraction outside of the currently-defined "normal." Foot fetishists are paraphiles. If you like boobs a lot, guess what, you're a paraphile, because breasts are not sexual organs. People who have a sexual preference for the elderly are paraphiles. People who like spanking sexually are paraphiles. Anything outside of an attraction to completely vanilla PIV sex with someone in your own age group is a paraphilia. Almost everyone has at least one paraphilia, whether they like it or not.

Though it didn’t snow often, this year it came down in a hurry in the quiet town. The neighborhood was still littered with Christmas decor, half inflated inflatables, and the blur of lights. He surveyed it all on his walk between puffs of his cigarette. It had been far too long since this area was his home, but it hadn’t changed much. Frozen in time - sort of like him. 

When he heard a pair of footsteps approach from behind, he didn’t need to turn to know who it was. He sighed and his shoulders stiffened. “Go back home,” he told her without turning around. “You’ll catch a damn cold out here.”

introdução: neste tutorial inicial, iremos aprender o que é rpg, conhecer algumas plataformas com jogos e as nomenclaturas. ao final do tutorial, se tiver qualquer dúvida, quiser elogiar ou mandar um coração roxo, nossa ask e chat estão abertos.

o quê é rpg?

role-playing game nada mais é que um jogo de interpretação. aqui, sunchild, você cria um personagem e o coloca para interagir com outros personagens. aqui, sua criatividade fica em primeiro lugar e, através de jogos e dinâmicas, você desenvolve o seu personagem. um dos sistemas mais conhecidas de rpg é o rpg de mesa, onde um mestre organiza a campanha para os jogadores não só desenvolverem seus personagens, mas também desenrolar a história que aquela mesa pode contar. não irei me estender muito nesse assunto, mas indico assistir ao menos algum vídeo de ordem paranormal, rpg de mesa do youtuber cellbit.

como posso jogar em um rpg? precisa ser em um rpg de mesa?

não necessariamente, sunchild. essa é uma das formas de se jogar o rpg, mas nesse mundo apocalíptico que é a internet, você pode jogar através de textos, como é utilizado aqui pelo tumblr, embora algumas centrais tenham uma jogabilidade que lembra muito um rpg de mesa.

quais são as plataformas que jogam rpg?

temos muitas opções para o desenvolvimento do seu jogo. x/twitter era uma plataforma recorrente para jogos, mas temos também o telegram, instagram, whatsapp, bluesky, facebook, discord... boatos que até no pinterest existem pessoas que jogam! se é verdade, não faço ideia. e temos aqui também, o tumblr! claro que a jogabilidade de cada plataforma é diferente, assim como sues players. nesse guia, vamos aprender mais sobre o tumblr, mas se quiserem posso trazer uma visão dos demais jogos.

nomenclaturas de rpgs do tumblr:

player: jogadore por trás du personagem.

char: personagem criade por ume jogadore.

turnos/threads/interações: interações entre dois ou mais personagens, onde cada um escreve sobre seu ponto de vista e dialogam entre si. (em breve teremos uma parte mais detalhada no guia)

sms: mensagens curtas entre um personagem e outro, igual as mensagens instantâneas.

starter: o primeiro turno de uma interação.

starter open: primeiro turno que qualquer personagem pode responder.

closed starter: primeiro turno que apenas um personagem pode responder.

starter call: postagem para u player escolher um personagem ou prompt para u autore do postagem possa puxar o closed starter.

prompt: ideias prontas, pode ser frases de inspiração para uma interação ou uma base para escrever o plot do personagem.

muse: inspirações para o personagem.

plot: história do personagem e/ou do rpg.

intro: introdução sobre o personagem.

ficha: informações e dados do personagem, geralmente solicitadas por alguma central.

central/comunidade: grupo aberto para aplicação e desenvolvimento de personagens, seguindo um plot para que as histórias possam se cruzar entre si.

ooc: out of character, ou seja, conversa entre players.

ic: in character, nada mais é do que as informações que u personagem tem dentro do jogo.

godmodding: ações ou frases que impossibilitam u outre personagem/player reagir, sue personagem no caso pratica alguma ação em que toma o controle du outre.

metagaming: uso de informações ooc que não foram combinadas de sue personagem saber.

mary sue/gary stu: personagens perfeites, com vidas perfeitas e índole intocável, não importa o quanto tenham sofrido, sempre trazem um sorriso no rosto e nenhum trauma.

tw: avisos de gatilhos.

alias: seu apelido no jogo, sunchild. o meu é monday, e o seu?

reservas: reserva de faceclaims e/ou classes para aplicação de personagens.

aplicações: envio de ficha para aceitação do personagem na central. a ficha pode ou não exigir um resumo sobre seu personagem.

faceclaim/shape: rosto que você idealiza para seu personagem, utilizando gifs e fotos para que os demais possam entender como é seu personagem.

1x1: tipo de jogo em que os partners combinam tanto o plot central quanto o desenvolvimento dos personagens.

partner: parceire de jogos.

nxn: grupo fechado para jogos e plots.

smut: turno em que os personagens praticam atos libidinosos/sexuais.

fluffy: plot/dinâmica fofinha entre personagens.

angst: plot/dinâmica que traz angústia e tristeza entre os personagens.

hc/headcanons: informações adicionais sobre o personagem que não está presente na ficha.

connections/conexões: dinâmicas entre personagens que tem envolvimentos no desenvolvimento dos plots.

askgame: evento em que os personagens mandam asks específicas de um para o outro e decidem se pode ou não virar um starter ou hc para o jogo

esses são algumas nomenclaturas que me lembro, mas caso se lembre de algum, só nos mandar uma ask para que eu possa complementar. na próxima parte, iremos explorar juntes esse mundo de jogos de forma mais detalhada, prometo.
