Small point of contention; the Olds version of the 215 had enough detail differences to share relatively few parts with the Buick 215.   Different heads, different valves, different cylinders, additional webbing on the block casting.

Oldsmobile F-85 Deluxe Station Wagon, 1961. The F-85 utilised GM's new Y-body architecture that it shared with the "senior compacts" from Buick and Pontiac. It also shared the 215ci alloy V8 that had been developed by Buick and that was later sold to Rover when it became superfluous to GM's requirements. Sales were disappointing and when the second generation model arrived in 1964 it dropped the Y-platform's innovative unibody construction and alloy V8 growing in size to become an "intermediate" in order to compete with Ford's Fairlane

Original P38 oil sump cleans up well. This sump came on the bottom of our rover 4.6l V8 engine in a less desirable state. This is the most ideal sump design for an MGB V8 conversation due to the shape allowing to live together in harmony with the front crossmember without any modifications. The 1986 Rover SD1 Vitesse Twin Plenum was the ultimate version of this large British family car which was inspired by the sleek design of the Ferrari Daytona. It had a 215 bhp (160 kW) 3.5L V8 with a twin-throttle body setup to homologate the SD1. More powerful than the concurrent 4.9L V8-powered Ford Mustang GT of the time. 🐏1967 Rover P6BS V8 Prototype🐏 A project to make a mid-engined V8 sports car using the ex-Buick 3.5-liter alloy V8. Also, known as the Leyland Eight GE, David Bache headed the development team (he was also responsible for the first Range Rover), and the car went as far as having a projected US on sale date and price point ($5000). The V8 was offset to the right because the gearbox was in front of the engine, and this placement allowed the transaxle to run on the side of the engine, thus making the car lower.
