Often you'll do something smug and question where you got it from. Him. You got it from him.

Donnie

Fascinated.

Studies you (not genuinely) like a little lab rat.

Not good at expressing emotions so he just stares with wide eyes, if only his face could link to his brain.

He corrects you casually when you try to be smart, it often ends up with him just talking instead of you.

A little offended when he hears you say 'gasp' or 'scoff'.

That's his thing! That is until he remembers toddlers pick up stuff that they enjoy. Sweet.

Mikey

Oh. Mi. Gosh.

Quite literally. He heard you scream it from across the hall.

You try to cook with him, never again.

Why? You once placed your poor little hand on the pan as you tried to stop yourself from falling off a stool.

Lets be honest, you're 5. You suck at drawing. Does that stop Mikey from hanging up your drawings? No.

Donnie struggles with a lot of depression and anxiety

Constantly feel like he's not enough

That once his brothers figure out their mystic powers, they won't need him anymore

So he understands a lot

If you're having a bad day, he'll do whatever it takes to make you feel better

While he's not a big fan of touch, he will do whatever you want

He'll hold you, rant about whatever he could think of

★ Oh lawd please let him help. He wants, no, he needs to help you. You are his s/o and he cares about you more than you think. Need a mental health day? He's coming over with sented candles and snacks.

★ Anything you need, he's going to give. If you are having one of those days where you feel you can't leave bed he will stay by your side so you don't feel alone. If he needs to leave your side he grabs a few of his favorite teddy bears and puts them on the bed where he was.

★ He's familiar with the concept of having body image issues but never once thought about you having them. Your body is perfect to him. It's soft and warm, ideal to lay down and cuddle with. What could be missing?

★ You are gorgeous. You're probably tired of hearing those words from well meaning people but to him it's true. In his eyes every single thing you see as a flaw is beautiful.

★ "How was your day?" Is asked every night when the two of you meet up. He genuinely wants to know how your day went and how you are feeling. If something went wrong of if you are stressed out about something you should vent.

Leonardo

★ When you start to open up to him about being insecure he is going to feal really bad. Mostly because he knows what it feels like and the idea that you feel the same hurts.

★ He is going to mess up at first, but he wants to help. He regularly sends you random body positivity photos and memes he finds online.

★ One of his go-to ideas for when you're feeling stressed out is to bring you on a walk around the hidden city and do a little sightseeing. Usually it works and you get your mind off whatever was bothering you.

★ PTSD attacks scared him at first, purely because he didn't know what to do. He felt really bad after he first saw you have one because he had to call his sister, April, to help. Later he went down a rabbit hole of googling and websites to know what to do next time.

★ Nowadays he is much more prepared, he knows a few grounding techniques to try and help you through PTSD attacks. He even put together a "emergency Y/n kit" filled with stuff for you. Among other things it's got gum, a soft blanket and some watter.

★ it's just a tote bag that sits in the corner of his room. It also has a few Lou jitsu movies on DVD to watch together.

Donatello

★ You have unlimited access to his room and lab for the sole reason that it's the quietest place in New York. It's definitely not because he worries about you and wants to give you a safe space. Not at all...

★ When you don't have the motivation to get up out of bed you get to have some very rare and valuable Donnie cuddles. Usually he would cuddle you for so long but you need this, so he does it for you.

★ He tries to gently bring up the subject of antidepressants, hoping that you might decide to try them. But in true Donnie fashion does it by saying "Did you know antidepressants affect two neurotransmitters in particular, serotonin and norepinephrine?" Yea, he ain't slick.

★ He would never force or pressure you into going on meds. If you say you don't want to go on them for whatever reason he accepts it and leaves it at that.

★ However, if you choose to he would go over the different types of medication. Lists off the side effects and benefits along with what they actually do. For gods sake, he might go through the process of drug compounding for you. No doctor prescription needed.

Michelangelo

★ Can't find the motivation to get out of bed? He's joining you and ends up clinging to you while asleep. He's only leaving the bed if you leave the bed.

★ However, neglecting your own health is where he draws the line. You are not allowed to neglect yourself (not bathing, eating enough or letting yourself to give up). Imagine him saying "open wide!" While holding a chicken nugget up to your mouth.

★ Venting session might do you some good. If you can't afford therapy (thanks American lack of public healthcare) he will pick up a book on phycology and try his best. He's not the world's best therapist/boyfriend but he's trying.

★ Over time you end up telling him a lot about where your PTSD came from. Mikey is really good at noticing things that upset you now. Along with that he researches the effects of mental illness, to try and know more about what you're going through.

How they feel:

All three of these boys love you very much. They hate seeing you feeling upset.

Whenever you’re feeling down, they postpone their heists and make it their mission to lift your spirits.

It did take them a while to fully understand how to help you.

They had never had someone so important in their life, let alone someone with depression.

Of course that didn’t change their love for you at all.

They worry about you a lot, but not in a pity way. No, they don’t pity you.

But they acknowledge that you have anxiety and depression, and make you feel validated.

How they help you:

First of all, when you have an anxiety attack, their first instinct is to remove you from whatever current situation you are in.

They take you to a quiet room and instruct you to take deep breaths and breath with you.

They place your hand on their chest so that you can feel their heart beat and match their breathing.

Once you get your breathing balanced out, they ask if you want a hug.

They learned that sometimes you want a hug after an anxiety attack and sometimes you don’t.

If you do want a hug, they will wrap their arms around you tightly (but not too tight) to help you feel grounded.

When you’re depressed, they pamper you. Literally. I’m not joking.

They get you blankets, stuffed animals, food.

They make sure to get you your weighted blanket too.

They will sit in bed with you and keep you company.

They don’t say a word, knowing that their presence is all you need in that moment.

They’ll let you lean against them for comfort.

Probably play funny videos on their phone for you guys to watch together.

Funny videos will get an occasional smile out of you, sometimes even a quiet laugh.

Just knowing that they are still able to make you smile, even when you’re too depressed to get out of bed, makes them feel happy.

They love knowing that they are able to comfort you.

Most importantly, they just love being able to love you :]

This is my first ever book style fic, because if some of you know, the only other book I have right now is a compilation of ROTTMNT one shots because I took requests. as of right now, requests for that book are CLOSED and I'm taking a temporary hiatus from that book.

Updates for this book will be kinda random. I write the first draft of all of these chapters at work (I'm a cashier, yuck) when I'm bored and don't have customers (which is a lot).

Also yes, this is a Chat Noir x OC book. Her name is Maricielo Belmonte, and you'll find out about her as the story goes on :3 she also eventually becomes a miraculous holder as well, and her kwami's name is Aluzzo, and they're an axolotl.

Can i request platonic rottmnt little sibling chubby with all of the brothers HC?

Reader is same age as Mikey but what makes them different is they're on the plus size, their ninpo were made to be support class (and yes am thinking of rpg games).

This makes reader insecure about themselves; they're not " helping much " and they believe they're fat and not strong or skiny or have toned muscles like the rest of the mad dogs which put them down.

However the 4 brothers think otherwise and they have their own way to show their love & affection to reader/p

Least likely of them all to realize that it's a problem for you, mostly because he doesn't recognize it as a problem.

You'd think with how big he is into sparring/fighting that he'd underestimate you when you two spar due to your size, but it's quite the contrary. 'Meat Sweats' is one of his biggest threats and he's plus-sized, not to mention the fact that his idol Ghost bear is also a bit on the chubby side.

When you're having a bad day where you're just really insecure, he'd usually spend the day by your side or cuddling. It takes a lot of strength for his hyperactive brain to stay put for longbut he'd gladly go through that so that wya he could comfort you.

He doesn't really know how to comfort you besides being there or small words of encouragement but he'll still try to be of help in some sort of way.
