I think why Endhawks is so cathartic for me is that you have two people who have been through a bunch of trauma and made fucked up choices because of it and are both terrified that deep down that they aren’t worthy of love, that they’ll end up alone, that they are inherently bad.

And they are trying, trying so hard to change, to be good, to be lovable.

And they accept each other so easily. Like yes I see you. I see you trying so hard. You’re not hard to love at all. You are a good person at heart and that’s why you try so hard. I won’t flinch away at the hard, sharp edges of you because mine fit together with yours.

And it hits me right in my trauma core.

I just love them. Anyway…

are his eyes BROWN!?

i never got why they changed his eyes to brown, was the gray-blue too hard to see in promotion material because if that's the case, it's dumb and brown eyes doesn't suit him. 😠

so yeah, this has bothered me a lot when i noticed it and i just don't like it, i'm glad with fanart and fanfic, they give him the gray-blue eyes 😁

Just opened the Walmart salad that was gonna be my dinner for tonight and tomorrow and it reeks so I checked the date. Expired the day we got it :(

I'm really mad at how much money I waste on rotten food from Walmart. They know there's a subset of customers who use delivery bc getting to the store is difficult or impossible.

And their refund policy being "bring it in and we'll refund it" locks us out from ever actually getting refunds for the many rotten and inedible items we receive as a result of their lean staffing and other policies. 😡

how is fanart different from fanfiction? they are both nsfw content and most of the people btw writing the teenbur smut are ADULTS grown people who make it for other adults. thats the problems, it its mostly adults writing smut about teenbur who is like 15-17 years old and even some including pictures of him on their works. there is something wrong with consuming nsfw media of teenagers. teens are still kids, they are minors, most people who consume the media are adults. yes people will usually write about this stuff and their first times, yes most people have their first times in their teens but to publish it as an adult FOR other adults is the issue not teens having sex but the fact people over the age of 20 are enjoying this content of a minor. and as a victim of grooming and sexual abuse i can for a fact say fictional nsfw of minors DOES harm kids, it makes young kids who come across it think its normal, it feeds into the desires of those with paraphilias, and in this case it was of a real teen, while wilbur may be grow now those pictures they use the "character" they write of was a real person and is a real person. hes grown now but that doesn't stop it from harming him. and yes it is still pedophila, dont pull a "the correct term is Ephebophilia" on me. it is still considered pedophila. there is so much in this i can speak on because most of it either isnt true, not the main issues ect ect.

in simple terms the main problem is adults making/consuming nsfw of minors not minors doing sexual things, and teenbur isnt a fictional bursona, hes just wilbur from when he was a kid.

anyways dont make porn of minors chatters and dont defend them.

Teenagers have sex. Teenagers also think about sex. Published YA novels are full of it — sometimes first-time stuff, sometimes taboo age gap stuff, sometimes even incest or really icky stuff (looking at you, VC Andrews).

In fanfiction, first-time fics in particular are super normal and usually involve minor characters. Why minors? Simple. (1) Your first time kissing or having sex or whatever is exhilarating, and your 65th time is boring. (2) Many if not most people have their first sexual experience before age 18.

There is nothing aberrant about writing or enjoying erotica about teenagers.

People are somehow cool with rape/incest/etc sex involving adults—gross and totally illegal in real life— but shame people for teen sex fics.

It should also be noted that enjoying or writing erotica involving teen characters is not pedophia. Pedos are people who prefer pre-pubescent children. Post-pubescent teens have secondary sex characteristics and it isn’t at all deviant to find them attractive.

Adults exploiting or having sex with minors in real life is obviously not okay. Writing sexually explicit scenes about any age characters for minor audiences is not okay.

Fictional erotica and sexual exploitation of minors are entirely different things.

Label your stuff for 18+ audiences and write whatever you want. If you find something icky— don’t read it.

(Not totally sure what my position is on fan art involving explicit drawings of teenagers. I find it super gross but not necessarily immoral or illegal, as no kids are harmed. If it’s labeled properly people can avoid it. Opinion on this not fully formed. )

lae'zel is actually one of the best companions in the game and everyone who hates her or says she's just mean fundamentally doesn't understand her character. she's literally the nicest girl in the world given her usual environment and upbringing. she essentially has the exact same backstory as shadowheart in that she was raised in a controlling violent cult and has spent most of her life (including the start of the game) brainwashed by that cult into the person she is today. and yet despite it all she is trying her best to help people. she DID NOT have to save you on the nautiloid and she DID NOT have to promise to take you to what she had every reason to believe was a cure-all for the tadpoles and she goes so far as to defend you and the rest of the party to other gith despite her extremely xenophobic society pressuring her around every corner to do otherwise. over the course of the game she literally had her entire way of life and belief system uprooted from top to bottom and she ultimately decides to deal with it by becoming a hero and dedicating her life to saving others from the same situation she was in. her entire character, at its core, is so extremely dedicated to helping other people even at the cost of herself. she has the same trauma and should get the same treatment and sympathy as shadowheart and you guys just don't like her because she's not conventionally attractive and standoffish at the start of the game but when you actually follow her companion quest and/or romance her she is so sweet and trying her best and she is a TOP TIER companion and i am not going to pretend like she isn't.

the emperor is one of my favorite characters in all of bg3. i know i just went off about lae'zel but god the emperor is so good. he is a LIAR. he is a Bastard Capital B In Bold. he is the deceiver trope played straight from the very beginning and you can't trust a word he says and half of act 3 is practically dedicated to proving just how full of shit he is. he is an awful person who presents himself as a savior and a hero but at the first sign of resistance or hesitation he snaps and doubles down his manipulation in an attempt to control and corral the player into doing what he wants. his first reaction to the player turning down/questioning his sex scene in any way is to gaslight and accuse them so he can shift the blame and keep up his veil of heroism. he encourages them to let go of their humanity and turn themself into a cannibalistic monster while constantly swearing it's for the greater good. he literally runs off to join the netherbrain if you free orpheus. ansur was right all along. balduran died the minute that tadpole took over and transformed him into a mindflayer and the emperor is a shell of his former self masquerading around with the same gravitas and veil of kindness he used to have, but it's gone, if it ever existed to begin with. the emperor is a fascinating example of a manipulative piece of shit done right because even the fanbase can't agree wholeheartedly on if he's good or not but if you couldn't tell my money is wholly in the "he fucking sucks guys" camp. as a character i adore him though.
