As a treat, I'm going to give you a snippet from Book 1, Chapter 1.

(If anything sounds familiar, it's because for the first two books, I flirt with canon heavily.)

It was the same as it was every year. September 1st and his whole family is rushing to get to the platform. Fred sighed as he hurried along with his family, his mother grumbling loudly about the muggles and making sure they knew where they were headed.

As his mum called for Percy- Perfect Prefect Percy- to start off going through the barrier, his amber-blue eyes caught a small, dark-haired girl watching them intently. She had a trolly just like them and moved closer.

"Fred, you next." His mum tried to usher him forward, drawing the girl's attention to him. Smirking cheekily, he looked to the older woman.

"I'm not Fred, I'm George! Honestly woman!" He had to dodge an incoming swipe and winked at the girl. "Call yourself our mother? Can't you tell I'm George?"

His mother shook her head in exasperation. "Sorry, George dear."

"Only joking, mum! I am Fred!" He took off before Molly could get to him, stumbling a little when he locked eyes with the girl; her gentle laughter had drew his gaze back.

Her eyes were the most brilliant shade of green he'd ever seen.

She cried into his shoulder, trying hard to contain herself, but it was impossible. The tears refused to stop. All while Link still held her. Seeing this scene unfold, Link’s trusted companion Navi flew around them, leaving a trail of sparkles in her wake, like a line circling around the pair. “Princess, I.. I don’t know what is happening, but I’m here for you.” “Link..” She looked into his eyes. Throughout all of this, she was making choices. For her Kingdom and for him. But did Link ever have a choice?

Tloz: ROTP is a sequel to Ocarina of Time, in the same way that Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are in their respective timelines, with this one being set on the 4th timeline, where Zelda ended up not sending the Hero of Time back to his childhood. While ROTP is actually mainly the story of a new Link and and a new Zelda, their adventure is set in a world created by Link and Zelda from Ocarina of Time, who rebuilt Hyrule in their image. So Oot Zelink is canon to this 🥰

Have a scene from Book 2 of TLFYL that I'm stupidly proud of.

(Yes, this is canon to TLFYL. Yes, it's Fred instead of Ron. The water was bought before they drove off.)

The sun was getting low, by the point Harry sat with her back against the passenger door with her knees pulled near her chest, as the dying rays streaked across the two in interesting ways.

She watched as the sun lit up Fred's hair from where he was leaned up against the driver door. His elbow planted on the panelling and the wheel held loosely in his hand. The fading light highlighted his freckles, which she'd always found kind of cute, and gave his eyes a little sparkle when they looked her way. He was holding the bottle of water with his left hand gently, lifting it to take a swig with the remnants of a smile on his lips. (Which were bitten-red from his teeth pulling at them every so-often.) If she were honest with herself, she'd say that she was quite envious of the bottle and wanted to sigh with how good he looked in that moment.

Just before the opening touched his lips, he noticed her stare, pulling the bottle away and tilting it towards her in offerance. "You want a swig?"

Quickly, she shook her head- wondering what in Morgna's name was going on with her- and spat out, embarrassed, "No, no. I just- lost in thought- something, yeah?"

"Okay, Firecracker. You say so."

She made the mistake of chancing a glance at him as he laughed and shook his head, turning his eyes back to the sky. He looked good smiling and laughing like he did.

…And now she was back to wondering what in Morgana's name was going on with her.
