Roterfaden Update 2018

To say the Roterfaden Taschenbegleiter is a notebook cover is like saying Stonehenge is a load of big stones. It’s true but rather misses the point. I first reviewed my Roterfaden Taschenbegleiter back in May 2015 and at the time was still perhaps a little shellshocked by how much I’d spent on it (€109). It isn’t cheap but, three years later, I have to say it’s been a good investment.

We've been on interesting trips, met fascinating people & discovered some great brands in 2019, but meeting Roterfaden & discovering the Taschenbegleiter planner was a real game-changer for me. Their clip & pocket system is so well-thought out & intuitive that my own wk_12 was configured & ready to use within minutes. It has served me well since then (6 months already!), especially when travelling & during our website upgrade project last September. My brand new Roterfaden Taschenbegleiter all stuffed with my favourite things! I'm loving this set up! In here I have my Leuchtturm1917 planner, a Rhodia exercise book for random notes and a Leuchtturm1917 notebook for my daily journal. I also have various stickers and stencils that I like to use, as well as 3 (!) pens. I have 2 Uniball Signos in 0.38 and 0.5 and my TWSBI Eco with a 1.1 stub nib, currently inked with Pilot Iroshizuku in Ku-Jaku.

Working on a new design for a collaboration project. Using my trusty #superiorlabor Pen Roll & the sketch refill in my #Roterfaden Taschenbegleiter plus LOTS of coffee (still jet lagged). I find the A5 format perfect for rough design sketches. Larger than that, I'd just be wasting space.⠀ If it actually happens, this new project will be of major importance for us (& hopefully for you as a customer) in 2020, possibly even THE most important one. The more I use my #Roterfaden wk_12 planner, the more I like it. The special steel clips are super practical, the paper works well with my fountain pens and the leather and suede feel amazing. I've also been trying out a Japanese #Platinum Procyon #fountainpen and enjoying it immensely. The (relatively) stiff nib writes very smoothly and the lightweight aluminium body makes it comfortable to use even for prolonged writing sessions.
