A kind stranger is not the blue moon but instead one of the numerous stars in the distant galaxies. Make eye contact through your telescope and smile. They’ll smile back.

If they had a kid MEME: Rose && Joe obviously, even if I have no idea if Joe could even have kids 😅
Name: Klaudia Josephine Fink & Jack Ross Fink
Gender: F & M
General Appearance: Both children look like a perfect mix of Mom & Dad. Porcelain pale, Black Hair and bright Blue/Green eyes with a look that'll send a chill down anyone's spine.
Personality: Klaudia takes after dad with her sense of humor and overall interests. She wants to be just like her good ol' dad, even carries around one of his masks, ready to use it when she gets into mischief. Jack is eerily quiet. Always watching and listening. He focuses on his strengthening his abilities, hoping to take over the world at some point. They both love their parents, but when in public the thought "those kids ain't right" goes through most minds.
Special Talents: You don't understand the heartbreak and fear Joe and Rose had to go through to realize their children had inherited their immortality... Klaudia is an excellent marksman, and is great with a knife. She practices hand to hand combat with her dad, making her a threat with just her hands. Jack inherited Rose's psychic abilities. He pushes himself everyday to become stronger than his mother.
Who they like better: Pfffft Klaudia loves her daddy, and Jack rarely leaves Rose's side.
Who they take after more: As much as Klaudia wants to be just like her dad, she is definitely just like Rose, especially with her temper. Jack is most similar to Joe, not as loud and emotion driven like Klaudia is.
Personal Head canon: The kids were both 6 at the time with no signs of special abilities. They were to be watched by a hired babysitter for a few hours while mom and dad did a bit of "work". Klaudia had persuaded Jack to kill their babysitter so that they could slip away and follow their parents into the night. Rose and Joe were in the middle of a trade with a local "client" when things went awry. There was a firefight and Rose got hit, causing Jack to run out after her. Klaudia didn't hesitate to run out after her brother to protect him and before Joe and Rose could react, both their children had got caught in the gunfire. Death came violently to anyone that had been anywhere near them and their lifeless children...that was until the smallest voices whimpered out for their mommy and daddy. Rose and Joe's broken hearts were soon mended upon the realization that both their children had inherited their immortality.

THE BAD BATCH (2016): Not to be confused with the recent dreadful cartoon spinoff of THE CLONE WARS, Ana Lily Amirpour's followup to A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT is kind of a druggy homage to the low-budget Italian MAD MAX ripoffs of the early '80s, starring Suki Waterhouse as Arlen, a young woman among an apparently growing number of people sentenced to permanent exile from the United States to die or eke out a miserable existence in the deserts of the Southwest. She's immediately captured by cannibals, who cut off and eat her right arm and right leg, but she contrives an escape in a truly disgusting fashion and makes her way to a Burning Man-like community called Comfort, which is basically a cult run by a man called The Dream (Keanu Reeves), busily accumulating a collection of pregnant sister-wives. Arlen then ends up entangled with a Cuban exile from Miami (Jason Momoa), another cannibal whose daughter (Jayda Fink) Arlen has more or less kidnapped after killing his baby mama (Yolanda Ross).
As you can probably guess, this is not a movie for the weak of stomach, although it doesn't play like a horror movie, with a spacey, doped-out detachment that makes it feel like a vivid if often unpleasant dream, and it's populated by high-profile ("Hey, wait, isn't that …") guest stars, many of them unrecognizable. It's strikingly photographed and sometimes inventive, with an unusual use of pop songs (I will certainly never look at the Ace of Base song "All That She Wants" in the same way again), but after a while — if you haven't noped out after the extremely gruesome first half-hour — you may begin to wonder if there's a point.
Like GIRL, there isn't a lot of what you'd call plot, but the earlier film's sense of desperation and romantic longing has dissipated into a kind of post-apocalyptic ennui; there's nowhere really for Arlen to go, and while at one point she tells The Dream she wishes she had a time machine so she could go back and fix things, we never really learn where she's been or what's happened either to her or to the world. Also, even given the general level of violence and ickiness, the Black characters are treated with what seems like a disproportionate level of brutality, which sits ill. CONTAINS LESBIANS? Nope. VERDICT: An oddball curiosity, but stay well away if you're squeamish at all.
#movies#hateration holleration#the bad batch 2016#ana lily amirpour#suki waterhouse#jason momoa#keanu reeves#antiblackness#given the horrific u.s. politics surrounding “the southern border”#you don't need to strain too much to guess how the situation has come about#but if amirpour had a political point to make about that i'm not sure what it was

I feel really bad for Jenna and if I were her, I would like the show very much. She was an original cast member, who could get no lines, storylines, or songs for many episodes, and when she got some, sometimes they were racists such as Asian F. After several episodes with no lines she acts out in Michael and the producers send her on vacation. (1)
Next, they wrote Props, where Tina is frustrated because Rachel gets all the solo and everyone (including her boyfriend) told Tina she is wrong, that is Rachel´s time and he should wait til next year. What happens next season? The newbies (and even Santana) get more storylines than Tina and writers made fun of it. After graduation, Tina gets written off, confirming Jenna´s fears that she was expendable. Yeah, I wouldn't be as gracious as she is. (2) And I also don't think that the producers handled very well giving their cast free time to do other projects. In her episode, Ashley Fink said that she lost several opportunities because they wouldn't tell her availability. And I don´t think Ryan Murphy has changed much. He did the same thing to Angelica Ross in American Horror Story. (3)
I 100% agree and do feel bad for Jenna, too. We all said at the time that Tina got shit on. It's not Jenna's fault that the writers (and RM as showrunner) did not know what to write for Tina nor how to deal with the ballooning cast. I don't blame her for having a ton of self doubt and a lot of frustrations -- especially if she wanted out and was told no.
Not that we didn't all expect it at the time, but I do think the set of Glee had a lot of problems -- and it's a combination of being incredibly overworked, young and not knowing how to handle things, and RIB (but especially RM) who just didn't know what he was doing, and kind of ignored the problem instead of deal with it. It's kind of amazing that the cast is functioning as well as they are as adults, lol.
Funnily enough, Season 4's Tina stuff (I'm curious as to what Jenna will say about it) was supposed to be away of giving Jenna more to do. However, they kind of made her go a little crazy, and there were still unnecessary jabs at her -- specifically thinking about how she had to comment on her own body shape in Wonderful, and how terrible that is to make your own actress do that.
<3
#that's how s.o. sees it#not sure i have more to add#but omg props is the worst#i get the switching bodies thing was fun - it was#but the 'i love rachel berry' kool aide in that episode is nuts

COUNTRY OF HOTELS - Review
DISTRIBUTOR: Terror Films
SYNOPSIS: Should you end up in room 508 in this mysterious, nameless and fetid hotel, you will find yourself in an alternate reality, akin to the “Twilight Zone,” with an unseen threat lurking behind the walls and in the air ducts. COUNTRY OF HOTELS presents five tales of lost souls who enter room 508 and are confronted by the darkness in their lives.
REVIEW: COUNTRY OF HOTELS is an entry into the subgenre of sinister hotels/rooms such as the Cohen Brothers’ “Barton Fink,” David Lynch’s “The Hotel Room,” or the grand-daddy of them all “The Shinning” (pick your adaptation).
Having said that, COUNTRY OF HOTELS establishes an atmosphere and a tension that it sustains throughout. They achieve it through a compilation of performances, production values and camera work. The wallpaper in room 508 appears to be a homage to the carpet design from the Overlook Hotel in Kubrick’s “The Shining.” There are a lot of dark tones and hues that add to the oppressive feel of the film. Given the tight spaces, the edits are sharp with an organic feel to the movement. Christos Fanaras’s score was okay was okay, but the film’s sound design adds more to the overall atmosphere to the film. For all the room’s production design and art direction, the rest of the locations are lacking and feel makeshift, especially the check-in/front desk area.
The stories tend to be superficial in only addressing the particulars of the situation the viewer is presented with. The characters at the center of each tale do not present as a full person, never feeling there is a chance for redemption. Much like a classic EC Comic tale, such as “Tales From the Crypt” or “Haunt of Fear,” these characters wear their damnation on their sleeves. The TV in the room serves as a source of torment, sometimes feeling a bit more unrealistic than surreal. I enjoyed the adult themes. Still, the writing does not offer any satisfying conclusions or any speculation about the hotel or its staff to sustain the viewer’s curiosity past the credits.
The performances are interesting, frequently intense, but limited. There is no breathing room to allow the viewer to connect with the character and potentially feel for them. There is a lot of energy and a perspective of that character in that moment, which kept me at a distance, feeling like a spectator at a “peep show.”
Julio Maria Martino’s & David Hauptschein’s COUNTRY OF HOTELS is an interesting adult film about not nice people who find themselves in a surreal hotel room that challenges them. There are many good things about the film that make it worth a watch. I don’t feel the dark humor works and by the end I did not feel anything for these characters, even the hotel staff.
CAST: Siobhán Hewlett, Michael Laurence, Adam Leese, Matthew Leitch, Charles Pike, Sabrina Faroldi, Ben Shafik, Olegar Fedoro, and Mia Soteriou. Share your wallpaper: Just a brick wall with some ivy (it's actually the right part of this picture).
The last song you listened to: Hmm probably Warm Shadow (and I have to thank Soko Leipzig for making me discovering this one) or Berlin Sunrise by Fink.
Currently Reading: Adam Raczek/Vincent Ross fics 🤷🏽
Last Movie: It was actually Abgrund from Polizeiruf 110 if it counts as a movie. If not...I think it was Renfield (average movie).
Craving: Salt and companionship.
What are you wearing right now: Black long sleeves t-shirt, black jeggings.
How tall are you: 1,70m
Piercings: the regulars in the ears. I would love to get a septum at one point.
Tattoos: One for now, a Vegvísir, because I really like the meaning. If I didn't suffer from social anxiety, I'd have a lot more tattoos but alas, it means going through meeting people and them touching my body and...it's complicated.
Glasses? Contacts?: Glasses. It's not always the more practical but I like having this "screen" between me and the world.
Last drink: Coffee (right now as I'm having breakfast)
Last show: ...again, does Polizeiruf 110 counts? ahaha If not, it was Deadwind. First time watching a Finnish procedural and it was interesting.
Last thing you ate: It's breakfast time right now so homemade multigrain whole wheat bread with French salted butter (sorry The Netherlands, but your salted butter is weak. I need the crunch of the salt flakes you don't understand)
Favourite colour: Black
Current obsession: Well. I think you know...
Unrelated Obsession: Catching up on sleep.
Any pets: A 9 year-old pug and a 16 year-old black cat.
Do you have a crush on anyone: WELL. Not sure if it's still a crush after 10 years of going through all the feelings for him but...kinda?
Favourite fictional character: Me without social anxiety
The last place you traveled: Does moving from France to the Netherlands count? I usually don't travel alone for leisure so every time I'm somewhere, it's because I'm moving there.

"Three Sent Down For Long Terms Over Gas Thefts," Kitchener Record. October 16, 1933. Page 11. --- LONDON, Oct. 16. - Three years will be served in Kingston penitentiary, where they have all been before, by Roy Woods of Clandeboye, Albert Fink and John Coltman, alias Casey Blake, as a result of their convictions Saturday by Judge A. A. Ingram on charges of stealing eight gallons of gasoline from a service station at Talbotville, Concurrent three-year terms will be served also by the same men for receiving caps and other articles known to be stolen from Bowman's General Store in Denfield.
Charles Woods, brother of Roy, who tried to shield the rest by pleading guilty a week ago to four robbery charges, was given three and a half years in Kingston, the judge taking into account in all cases that the men spent five months in jail awaiting trial. In passing sentence first in the gas station robbery, Judge Ingram declared that he wished it to be widely known that the men who operated such businesses were to have the fullest protection of the law.
"Back in Prison After One Year's Freedom," Kingston Whig-Standard. October 25, 1933. Page 3. --- Less than a year since all four of them had been released, the members of the Woods gang are back in Kingston Penitentiary.
The quartet, composed of Charles and Roy Woods, Casey Blake and Albert Fink, had been removed from the London jail. Charles Woods is under sentence to serve three years and a half, while the other three have three years in prison ahead of them. All were convicted of a series of robberies throughout Western Ontario. Ail four had served sentences at the Kingston prison and were released last April and May.
[Charles Wood was 25, single, from Forest, Ontario, and had indeed just gotten out of Kingston Penitentiary, where he had served a term as #1833 (he also had an earlier term starting in early 1928 under #1011). This time around he was convict #3208. He was transferred July 1934 to Collin's Bay Penitentiary as inmate #742. He was released February 1936, but would be back on a new conviction in mid-1936.
Alfred Fink was 26, single, born in London, England, and had also been in Kingston Penitentiary before as #2253 and had also served a term in Guelph Reformatory. His alias was Alvin Ross. This time he was convict #3209 but was transferred January 1934 to Collin's Bay, becoming inmate #643. He was released by expiry November 1935, but would be re-convicted and sent back in early 1936.
Casey Blake, also known as John Coltan, was single, 28, and had been in Kingston Penitentiary twice before, as well as a term in the Sarnia jail. This time he was convict #3210 and worked in a labour work gang. He was released November 1935, but would be re-convicted and sent back in mid-1936.
Charles' brother, Roy, was married, 23, and had two previous terms in the Guelph Reformatory and a previous term as #1834 to his name. This time he was convict #3211 and worked in the tin shop. Reported a number of times, he was nonetheless pardoned and had his sentence commuted in November 1935. He would be back at KP by mid-1936.]

Seven bikie associates guilty of murdering spray painter in Adelaide's north
By Jacob Shteyman, 2:54pm Oct 10, 2023
As spray painter Jason De Ieso worked away in his auto repair workshop, he was oblivious to a group of figures concealed in hoodies and masks striding purposely towards him across the shop's sun-drenched car park.
The expectant father had never met the approaching men - some carrying sawn-off shotguns, another wielding a metal bar - but in a moment they would murder him in cold blood.
After a mammoth five-month trial, a Supreme Court jury on Tuesday found seven men guilty of De Ieso's murder at his Pooraka business in North Adelaide on November 21, 2012.
Jason De Ieso was shot dead in November 2012. (SA Police)
They are Musa Alzuain, 30, his brothers Husain Alzuain, 36, and Mohamed Alzuain, 32, as well as Daniel Mark Jalleh ,34, Ross William Montgomery, 38, Kyle Lloyd Pryde, 35, and Nicholas Sianis, 36.
But despite deliberating for more than 30 hours, the jury could not reach a verdict of Seywan Moradi, 36.
Declaring there was no prospect of coming to an agreement, Justice Brian Martin discharged the jury of their responsibility.
A ninth suspect has since died.
The bystander was killed at his workshop at Pooraka in Adelaide in 2012. (Nine)
CCTV footage of the incident played during the trial showed four men at the head of the group approaching the shop's roller door in an arrangement prosecutor Jim Pearce KC described as a "firing squad".
Musa Alzuain, a former Olympic boxing hopeful, was fingered as the man responsible for pulling the trigger.
He was 19 at the time.
De Ieso's brother Dino said he was "a son, a brother, a husband, a father to be, a friend to many" who went to work on November 21 and never returned home.
"The scenes and events of that day have changed the lives of many," Dino said.
"All the staff who attended work that day have been left physically and mentally scarred."
De Ieso was described as an innocent man, senselessly slaughtered in the crossfire of a deadly gang war.
The nine men were associates of the Hells Angels motorcycle gang and had been embroiled in an escalating conflict with their rivals - the Finks.
A Supreme Court jury on Tuesday found seven men guilty of De Ieso's murder. (9News)
The violence, which began in May 2011, included public brawls, drive-by shootings and a home invasion in which the young son of a bikie was shot in the leg.
It all culminated in the fire-bombing of the Alzuain brothers' family home the day before the attack.
The men received a tip-off that their target, a Finks member, was at the Pooraka workshop, but they missed him by a matter of minutes and killed Mr De Ieso instead.
Justice Martin exempted the jury from all future jury service, given the extent of disruption the case brought to their lives.
"You did your job well and be satisfied in that knowledge that you've done the job well and served your community," he said.
The seven guilty men were given a mandatory sentence of life imprisonment.
They will face court on December 11 for hearings regarding how long their non-parole periods will be.
Moradi will face court again on October 23.
Full statement from Jason De Ieso's family
Jason De leso, he was a son, a brother, a husband, a father to be, a friend to many, who went to his workplace on November 21, 2012 and never returned home to loved ones.
He was an innocent man going about his business and he had his life cut short by a cowardly and despicable, inhumane act.
Was his crime going to work that day doing what he loved?
No one should feel unsafe when attending their place of work.
The scenes and events of that day have changed the lives of many. All the staff who attended work that day have been left physically and mentally scarred.
What they witnessed was unimaginable.
Though none of the guilty have shown any remorse, may they one day know the actions they all undertook were uncalled for.
Yes the events of the night before would be enough to make any family distraught, but understand this… Jason was innocent and had absolutely nothing to do with any of the events mentioned in this trial, nor was he a member of any outlaw motorcycle group.
In respect of the accused where the jury was unable to reach a verdict, we hope the justice system continues to seek answers and prosecute those who are yet to be held to account.
This ordeal has been mentally and physically challenging, as I'm sure it has been for the families of the offenders.
No family should need to endure such grief, pain, or loss. Our lives have changed forever, to have lost Jason in the way we did is something you never wish to live.
Jason, you will always be in our hearts, always cherished, never forgotten, your infectious smile, humour, kindness and connection you had with all was unique.
May you finally now rest in peace.
On behalf of Jason's family and friends, a special thanks and gratitude go to all the team from Major Crime for their ongoing efforts, support and endless hours that they dedicated to solving this case as well as the team from the DPP for the endless hours they have put into the prosecution.
I would also like to thank the many witnesses who had the courage to give evidence in the trial.
A special thanks to victim contact officer, Debbie Gibson, for her ongoing support to me and my family through this traumatic ordeal.
I now ask that the privacy of my family is respected and I won't be answering any questions at this time.
