Day 3 of Rose Foret! I've now had this piece in three colors and two cuts, it's one of my favorite baby designs. The color balance for all the coloways is so satisfying and it has a great fabric texture B)

Royalsealy stands center of a book shelf, legs crossed and looking away as if in a wistfully thought. He has thick round glasses and a face mask covering the bottom half of his face.

His dark brown hair is pulled up into two masses of curly hair, with a large pink headbow and mint ribbon clips in the center. On one side the hair is pulled back, allowing the viewer to see a dangly mint green shell and pearl earring. He is wearing a pink short sleeve blouse and pink wristcuffs layered underneath a marine themed mint jsk. The JSK has various marine animals such as turtles and angelfish, and kuma kumya + usakumya as different sea creatures (sea butterfly, seahorse, and so on). The OTKs are white with pink, mint, and lavender hearts. He is wearing gold tea parties with two bows.

The second image, Royalsealy looks down as he fixes his waist bow, showcasing the various shell and marine themed rings in mint, pink, and yellow.

New Beginnings, Looking Back

Going to start posting coords and everything EGL related to this blog. Not only to share, but for myself. I'd like to be able to have a reference for all my outfits! I think having a personal look book not only helps document, but can help with creativity and developing new and better coords! So to kick off this new blog what is more fitting than some of my early attempts at this fashion? These photos are from 2009/2010!!! What even! The right photo is from when Crown and Crumpet used to have a location at Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco. That's quite the throwback! Left photo outfit breakdown is Meta's Marine stripe JSK with so many off brand pieces. Let's be real its probably all from Forever 21. I mean look at that anchor necklace. LOL Right photo is a thrifted shirt with a classic rose jsk from English Rose or Charming Rose? It was a indie UK brand. And lots of accessories from "For Love 21" Forever21's accessory store. I actually liked that store! Its long gone now.

I poked around lolibrary after someone mentioned it in a video (perfect site for just figuring out what I like), and so far the brands that stand out to me as having the most things I like looking at are baby the stars shine bright, metamorphose temps de fille, and maybe lief. pumpkin cat has some cute prints but the fabric patterns aren’t always aligned over seams. angelic pretty has cute prints, but they’re often a little Too Bright (even baby’s ott lace and ruffles doesn’t feel anywhere near as overwhelming to my eyes lol).

particular favorites include marine bear, teddy bear baker, berry gingham, and rose bouquet frill from metamorphose; papillonage en iris or valse de fleurs, wizard of oz, and either cut of belle harmonie from baby; rose tea garden op and either cut of sweet lacy basket from angelic pretty; antique rose from victorian maiden; whales from pumpkin cat; very berries from lief; and merry go round from anna house. I think my most favoritests are belle harmonie and marine bear. (I obviously didn’t look through all of everything this time, only the first 25 pages each of op and jsk. still, this is a nice way to browse in future! instead of having to browse one brand at a time.)

edit: I went through my favorites again to show them to arin and I think belle harmonie jsk, marine bear are definitely still the top ones, altho I undersold whales with bulbous heads and rose bouquet and they’re a close second tier. (although the lavender colorway of whales may be enough to get into top tier.....)

any colorway of belle harmonie jsk is top tier, whichever marine bear is the light colored one (I think it’s the mint colorway?), and lavender whales. that’s my top favorites. rose bouquet is just barely out, and only because belle harmonie is better. (one advantage of jsk over op is that by picking my own sleeves, I can ensure I won’t be dragging anything too nice against my wheels.) belle harmonie and marine bears are both from this year, so they’ll probably be more findable once I have money someday. (whales is from 2014 so by then I’ll be looking for a like 9-year-old dress in good condition.)

Why did I choose this URL: Adam-Rose is simply my art name :)

Adam because it's a male name , and idk why I always LOVED male character , I like to draw and write male character way more than girls. Because it's the name of the Beast in Beauty and the Beast , also because it's a biblical name , Adam made me think of my dark side.

And Rose because I always wear pink , I love cute things , I'm a really girly girl , try to be a Princess everyday.

So Adam-Rose is the two side of me , my dark side and my light side :)

I’ve accumulated a heck of a wishlist, but I’ll narrow it down to the pieces I covet after all this time!

1. Angelic Pretty’s Cinema Doll OP in lavender

This is my holy grail, the first piece I actually fell in love with when I started looking into the fashion in late 2012! Though considering how large name brands are biased towards the petite, I am a bit concerned if the large size would fit me... At least I got the JSK to fall back on if that’s the case.

I’d also love the frame necklace and ring, peplum cutsew, OTKs and head bow too.

2 - AatP’s Vampire Requiem Corset JSK in navy

Another dress I fell in love with when I first got into it! Though this one is pretty hard to spot secondhand whenever I’m poking around Lace Market...

3 - Meta’s Twinkle Journey Pinafore JSK in navy

I just prefer it over the re-release Meta did. 

4 - Baby’s Queen of Snow ~The White Kingdom... Snow Rose JSK in lavender

I actually also like the sax and pink colors too, but this is the color I want the most out of the bunch!

5 - AatP’s Queen’s Coach JSK II in black

Also in navy and wine! I had the high-waisted version on my wishlist, but then I realized that there was no shirring. *facepalms* Guess it’ll be the other JSK! I also like the OTKs and the necklace from this collection.

This print broke my heart when I first saw the pictures, and pretty much affirmed my love for marine themed prints.

8 - Fanplusfriend’s Enchanted Forest Silk OP in navy

Considering this was a VERY limited garment (only 60 ever made since the fabric required delicate tailoring), I doubt I will ever get to wear this. But it is one of my favorite prints.

9 - AatP’s Swan Lake ~Ephemeral Tears~ Ballerina JSK in green

Another achingly beautiful print from 2015 (same year as Marine Kingdom and Enchanted Forest too!). I actually saw this dress for sale twice on Lacemarket, but I’ve neither the funds nor the items to properly co-ord this...

10 - Angelic Pretty’s Dream Sky Salopette in sax

This is actually the only salopette I actually like. Though I don’t think it quite helps that this print is still a fan favorite...
