WHICH SYMBOLIC FRUIT ARE YOU?
Cherry. (Man, this is going to need some tag rambling; because while it's what I suspected and it's very fitting in many ways, I need to address one element).
In popular culture, cherries have come to represent sensuality, sex, and seduction. In the cult classic, Twin Peaks, Audrey Horne expresses her sexual expertise by tying a cherry stem with her tongue. "Cherry" is also used to refer to the concept of virginity: why? I don't know to be honest, but here we are. Much like the cherry, you're a sensual person who enjoys all the creature comforts the world offers. You enjoy delicious food, dynamic relationships, passionate lovemaking and stimulating conversation; however, you may also come across a touch vapid or shallow, due to your quickly fading attention when something has served its usefulness to you. To quote some man on tinder: "you're here for a good time, not a long time". You can come across, at times, slightly tart, carrying a bit of a bite to you that not everyone can handle. That’s okay: you’re an acquired taste!

BUT LET ME SPECIFY-- to those who haven't read my other post. ]#[ please read 'sex' and 'seduction' through a very old fashioned lens. very old fashioned. ]#[ and then i think it's a lot more fitting. think film noir/1940s femme fatale /instead/ of the modern femme fatale and you got it. ]#[ seductive in the way that a woman can be inherently alluring. ]#[ sex in the way that it /is/ something she engages in. but in the way that one does without overindulging at all. no promiscuity. ]#[ i'm not saying religious-type 'it means everything'. but i'll forever live by that line by blade. ]#[ “she must have sought something extraordinary. everything she does comes at a great cost.” ]#[ the thing is-- he knows she lacks fear. so i don't see 'at a great cost' being a value tied to anything because of personal risk. ]#[ or fear of chasing after it. it also means something that it comes from blade. who likely also has an interesting tie to 'fear'. ]#[ but any way that means 'at a great cost' means investment/engagement (time. effort. sacrifice?) ]#[ which shows a deep rooted dedication to something. which speaks to me of a certain passion that needs to propel something like that. ]#[ and if we take passion into the equation-- then i think that fits for how she speaks and handles everything blade and tb-related. ]#[ then i also can see 'sex' very fitting. she would; when engaging in it; be incredibly all-encompassing but not in a 'dominatrix' way. ]#[ nor a traditional 'dominant' way. but simply incredibly present. engaged. passionate. ]#[ those two things can fit incredibly next to sensuality if you simply look at it from a specific lens that isn't casual and/or modern. ]#[ outside of that... dynamic relationships? ☑️ stimulating conversation? ☑️ which PLAYS INTO THE NEXT PART. ]#[ which is /yes/ she is bored. she gets bored. you /need/ to be able to stimulate her by having something of your own to interest her. ]#[ she also wouldn't/doesn't like people who serve her every whim. no. have your own interests. ]#[ as to elaborate on an acquired taste: she isn't everyone's cup of tea. if you don't have something that interests her-- you won't... ]#[ enjoy being around her. if she doesn't /like/ you. you won't think she's fun. in /that/ she's an acquired taste. ]#[ and has a bit of a bite. ]

my original plan was to write, but then i ended up spending half an hour fighting tooth and nail trying to edit the code in the theme for my inspo sideblog and it wouldn't save because there were old http codes in it. but at least it looks nice now! caveat here of how none of this really matters and it’s my opinion, but I’m kinda just. :standing-man: about how divorced m!viera are from masculinity in fandom spaces. like how they’re always referred to as “cute” and “adorable” and even the term bunboy kinda just makes me feel ick. there’s always this stereotypical box of feminine/gay man that they get shoved into—cutesy and demure and pretty. like express gender and such in your own way and find freedom in that—I’m not gonna be upset about that. it’s the overall opinion that these characters—and by extension their players—are only part of this stereotype
#it bothers me playing eyrie who is queer—they are non-binary#but they are still very much connected to being masculine#best way to say it is that They are a Man#using they in a very gender neutral way but calling them a man in a very defining their gender way#it bothers me too as a queer person where my own identity relates a lot in part to eyrie#i get part of it is how they are designed and some of the faces#what I’m getting at is that the stereotype drives me bonkers as a player of this character#it’s the root of the frustrations that fem roe or fem viera players deal with#of their character being shoved into a stereotype#this instance of it w male viera just bothers me a lot as a queer person#this is gonna sound really rude here for a sec#but I can only see so many viera in little dresses with the poses with the ass and chest out#talking about how much they bottom for their much larger and taller SO#before I’m just closing the tab#owen plays ffxiv#like if you’re into that then please by all means continue rocking all of that#im just Some Guy on the Internet in my own lil space here

Anon that asked about the episode here! I agree that I expected a bit more from the domain expansion (the 3 hands kinda weirded me out), but I really liked the animation, even with all the ghosting and dimming. Also, the creepy scene was pretty good, although it was more anxiety inducing rather than disturbing and scary like the manga.
I think it's interesting hearing about your opinions because you have one of my favorite depictions (visual wise) of Mahito on media in my opinion. It's a bit different from the anime/manga but in a really good way, you know? Don't know how to explain, sorry if I said too much stuff :')
I see what you mean by anxiety inducing. I don't know what I was expecting the lighting to be like in that scene but it did make sense for it to be bright red emergency. ahh just responding to this makes me wanna redraw that creepyhito...

love it when it’s raining for the first time in months so you go to put the seedlings indoors so they don’t drown and instead almost slip flat on your back, send the pot flipping, and all the dirt and saplings sprawl on the ground, and now you have to replant ten barely-days-old seedlings into a pot in the rain without killing them twice over
#and mom wasn’t concerned that a one minte task took twenty#because she ~didn’t know where i was~ and ~doesn’t have to keep tabs on me~#even though i told her Hey imma got get the plants indoors#the fucking seedlings had massive roots and idk if they’ll survive the fall and replanting and now soaked dirt#and i don’t have anymore pumpkin seeds#and i was so happy about them#and i just can’t have anything go well at all can i?
