" jyn retorts, burying deeper in the layers of clothing meant to keep her warm in hoth's frigid climate. even bundled up as she is, it's not enough ; the tips of her fingers and toes had lost feeling almost immediately, and her scarf is doing little to keep her nose from going the same route. it's no secret that she hates the alliance's current choice in bases, taking any opportunity she can get for off-planet operations. her and the cold have never gotten along, and after a few weeks on hoth, it feels like she'll never be fully warm again.

from underneath her hood, she glares at bodhi and hunches her shoulders up to her ears to further emphasize her point. her discomfort is obviously not the reasoning behind his statement -- unless he's some sort of secret sadist -- but she's feeling a bit inclined for dramatics right now. she can barely move dressed up like she is -- she feels like a fucking wampa lumbering around everywhere. " do you take enjoyment from this, rook ? "

how is she supposed to go forth in living when she hadn't thought she would survive ? jyn'd made peace with her death on that beach, fully expecting to dissolve into stardust when the death star's blast had hit them. none of them thought they'd live. and yet here they are, despite the odds –– her, bodhi, cassian, and the guardians. a few others, too, though she hasn't seen them. since she's not technically a member of the rebel alliance, no one knows what to do with her –– so for now, she remains in the medbay, waiting for the day they come to kick her out.

with as bad as her burns had been, she's stuck mostly in bed as she heals. despite the medics constantly lecturing her not to overdue it, she takes the opportunity to sneak out whenever she can ; that, however, hasn't fully eased the itch underneath her skin, the feeling of helplessness and vulnerability. it helps having bodhi here ; his presence acts as a distraction from the storm brewing inside of her . . . for now. ( sooner or later, it'll tear her apart if she isn't careful. )

" i'm not good company, " she warns him good-naturedly, a small grin tugging up at the corner of her mouth. for all her blustering, it's surprisingly easy to joke around with him like this, like they've known each other longer than just a few days. ( she doesn't think she's ever had a friend before –– not that she'll admit that out loud. ) " you say that now but you'll take it back soon. just you wait. "

THE COMMENT HAD SLIPPED OUT ON A BREATH, honesty without thought, words to fill a silence that felt too suffocating. his bandages itch, the arm at his side [ not flesh but metal ] hangs an uncomfortable weight, his head echoes with a dull pain that throbs in time to the beat of his pulse — he feels scattered like the sands of jedha in the wake of the death star's storm : displaced, distraught.

they'd won — a fraught, skin-of-the-teeth victory — but as the fires of rebellion's purpose die down there is an all too sharp realisation of the depths of his loneliness. he has no family left, no home ; perhaps that's why he clings to the remains of rogue one as tightly as he's able to with shaking hands, why his fears manifest in blunt observations that trip ungainly from his tongue [ don't leave me alone. don't leave me alone. ].

misc other influences : it would be amiss if i did not mention birdie here as one of my influences as they are not only the person who introduced me to rp, but who also encourages me every day to explore my creativity and pushes me to be kinder and for whom andie exists in the first place. and on top of that are all the big ways that andie is inspired by them and by so many of my other friends as well, because andie is built of the people i love and admire — birdie being very top of that list. then also judaism and the lessons/teachings within that i grew up on 😭, the song imagine by john lennon, the song treat people with kindness by harry styles, a million other things that didn't make the chart: the philosophy class i took in college, other assorted quote or characters or paintings or things from my life

Unofficially, neither of those looked like the whole story. Zeb had volunteered for the job hoping they’d find something the people of Lira San could use to defend themselves from the kind of Imperial tech that had devastated Lasan. Instead he found rows of ships that looked suspiciously like Imperial tech themselves. Zeb’s stomach churned with rage and dread in equal measure.

FAVORITE SHIP YOU’VE EVER HAD:  i have loved pretty much almost every ship i have ever head ( there have been some yikes things in there that i wasn’t on board with or some that have left a bad taste in my mouth from shitty partners ) but i think my FAVORITE is this werewolf oc / witch oc pair i had / currently have with one of my best friends. they were totally cliche love at first sight lowkey soulmate bond nonsense where she helped break a curse on his pack and he helped her deal with a ton of her trauma and accept her magic and she basically ended up becoming the alpha female of the pack even though she wasn’t a wolf herself and i think they’re my faves bc they were originally meant to be a really slow burn, like we had a set in stone timeline for them, and by the time they’d interacted like Three times they literally took over and were like nope we’re gonna fuck in the bayou in front of god and everyone and you can’t stop us  FAVORITE FANDOM YOU’VE BEEN IN:  absolutely none of you are free from sin. that said, star wars is bae star wars is life.  FAVORITE SONG TO GIVE YOU MUSE:  tbh it’s kinda all across the board but this one in particular always makes me want to write, and generally produces pretty writing from me. LEAST FAVORITE FCS TO PLAY/PLAY AGAINST:  i can look past it with almost any fc and there’s definitely exceptions to that rule but i cannot think of any of them for the life of me. LEAST FAVORITE RP EXPERIENCE:  that time i created a super popular group rpg with my friends that got so many applications we couldn’t let everyone in and some people got so angry that i didn’t let them into my rpg that they literally created an account trying to expose us and sent messages to countless rph blogs about how terrible we were , and then went on to create multiple psa’s about us full of lies , hack all of our emails and try to lock us out of our accounts , and almost straight up doxx me. just because they didn’t get into our rpg. on the tumblr.com. LEAST FAVORITE GENRE OF WRITING:  i really....don’t like domestic fluffy plots...like i like them in small doses aka in a few threads here and there but in an overarching plot....it’s too much.... i don’t want the whole plot to be sunshine and rainbows.....give me something to sink my teeth into.... LEAST FAVORITE FANDOM YOU’VE BEEN IN:  points very loudly at the mar.vel fandom. LEAST FAVORITE THING PEOPLE ASSUME ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER:  do you want the cliffnotes or the full bible ? ok i’ll limit myself to one but i think my absolute least favorite assumption regarding padmé is that she died of a broken heart / lack of pre-natal care AND couple that with the idea that she was only hiding her pregnancy for anakin’s sake re: the council. padmé literally says in canon if the queen and the chancellor find out she’s pregnant she’ll lose her seat on the senate and it just gets my goat real bad when people act like she was hiding this for anakin’s safety / sake. OTHER CHARACTERS YOU’D LIKE TO PLAY:  i have this female ronin oc i’ve been lowkey working on for ages that i’d LOVE to bring to indie at some point but the stigma on original female characters means i will probably Never Do That but we’ll see !!! i also recently added mara / leia / jaina all to my multi muse blog and i’m really excited to explore those ladies. no one else is coming to mind currently but it’s late so !!
