“ She had become a storyteller, a dreamer, a torturer; she had become the creator of a world of sounds into which she drew him, and the receptacle of the whispers he offered her. A palette so broad that he found himself giving colors to the shades of her voice: emerald when she was curious, indigo for adventurous flights. Anthracite in her most cynical moods, and then carmine, for impudent moans. Carmine against her sighs, tainted by the crackle of the loudspeaker, carmine when her throat suddenly cracked, a sign that one of his words had hit her. ”

pretty little liars and the raven cycle!
Pretty Little Liars
will do show first then books :)
Show:
favorite character: Spencer Hastings!! Mona is a somewhat close second and I love all 6 of the main girls but Spencer is everything to me
least favorite character: Ezra Fitz. Byron Montgomery is in second place which makes sense as they are practically the same person 💀
brOTP: I’ll say Spanna even though I also like them romantically, and Spencer and Jason have a really interesting dynamic as siblings/foils that I appreciate a lot
OTP: Vandermarin and Spemily, Vandermarin’s probably #1 ultimately because they’re soo the canon love story of Pll… but Spemily is so underrated imo and it’s my favorite Spencer ship and Spencer’s my favorite character so that gives it something extra for me. 3rd place is Spencer x Mona
OT3: going to say Hanna/Mona/Alison is ultimately the most fascinating one to me in the narrative but I’m open to a lot of different poly combinations with this show
NOTP: I don’t like any of the main het pairings but especially not Ezria
favorite storyline: Spencer’s 3b arc and Spencer’s 4b arc I love when my fave is suffering and in a spiral it’s fascinating xd. 4b is probably my favorite section of the show period between the Spencer addiction plot (which definitely has it’s issues in the writing but Troian is just fantastic playing it), Shadow Play, the EzrA stuff and Aria’s processing which I find very engaging especially in She’s Come Undone, it’s also where Emily/Alison is most interesting to me because of the attention given to Emily processing her feelings (attention that it never given again after this :/) Hanna stepping into the role of detective more than Spencer and Spencer and Emily’s fights so a lot of interesting shifts in dynamics caused by them knowing Ali is alive now, Ali’s coded diary… I just love it in all it’s messiness xd.
least favorite storyline: Ezria and the deadnaming both were terrible. A lot of post time jump storylines
what I wish had happened but didn’t: Ezra going to jail, men being held accountable for literally anything, for the writers to care more or at all the last two seasons I think anything even slightly good that happens post time jump is thanks to the actors and not the writers and even most of them seemed tired
what happened that I wish hadn’t: Ezra/Aria endgame male chars being given unwarranted grace in general
Books
favorite character: Aria Montgomery she has a slight edge over Spencer if we’re going with book versions of the chars specifically.
least favorite character: Wren since Ezra is less relevant in the books
brOTP: Spencer and Hanna + Spencer and Emily
OTP: Aria x Noel and Aria x Emily
OT3: Aria/Courtney/Emily
NOTP: Spencer/Wren since Aria/Ezra is less relevant in the books
favorite storyline: Emily faking her own suicide to then hunt down Alison in the last book slayyy.
least favorite storyline: Spencer’s romantic storylines in the second half of the series why so many flops :/ and then the Wrencer endgame yuck
what I wish had happened but didn’t: I wish Hanna’s arc had been stronger in the second half of the series although I’m not a fan of her post jump arc in the show either so…
what happened that I wish hadn’t: Wrencer endgame ugh.
TRC
favorite character: Blue Sargent there was a time when I readily considered her my favorite character in anything full stop still one of my forever girls I adore her.. Adam Parrish is a close second love him to pieces <33
least favorite character: I don’t really have one, I’ll say Kavinsky but mostly because he’s overrated/his stans are insufferable, while I’m reading he works fine within the story (this is the same way I feel about the Darkling actually)
brOTP: Blue and Ronan, Calla and Persephone and Maura, The Gangsey as a group
OTP: Bluesey ultimately but also Adansey and also Pynch and also Blue x Noah I contain multitudes <3
OT3: there is a lot of poly shipping potential in this series… Blue x Gansey x Henry is practically canon and I love them but I also am very into Gansey x Blue x Noah and Adam x Gansey x Blue… and Ronan x Adam x Gansey is also good…
NOTP: Ronan x Kavinsky less because it’s toxic I’ve shipped worse more because again the fandom is annoying
favorite storyline: the entirety of Blue Lily Lily Blue there’s so much in that book I adore, Persephone mentoring Adam, Blue and Calla scenes and Blue’s internal conflict while her mother is missing, Gwenllian and her dynamic with Blue and learning more about mirror abilities/what Blue is, Adam’s character arc in that book in general, so many of my favorite Bluesey and Pynch scenes and Persephone’s death is a gut punch that really works and the title… I love it :).
least favorite storyline: the ending of TRK is kind of anticlimactic even though I still love it like the other books
what I wish had happened but didn’t: Blue’s arc to have better closure in book 4
what happened that I wish hadn’t: the whole Adam and Ronan being racist to Henry part :/

Dear Festividder... (2020)
I love pretty much all aspects of all the fandoms I’ve requested, so I’m sure I’ll be thrilled with whatever you come up with, but here’s some stuff to help if you want a little bit more to go on!
Music:
Really, the most important thing is that the song is the right one for the vid - I have pretty broad musical tastes and there’s not a lot I don’t like, although I’m less keen on the more electronic/dubstep-y side of dance music. I really like folk music, rock, pop, 80s power ballads, female singer-songwriters with their own instruments, some country, musical theatre soundtracks… if you’re looking for more to go on, artists I like include Dar Williams, Vienna Teng, Regina Spektor, Ingrid Michaelson, Janelle Monae, Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Bonnie Langford, Foxes, CHVRCHES, The Burns Unit, Clannad, Cyndi Lauper, Dolly Parton, Florence + the Machine, Lorde, Karine Polwart, Jim Moray, Toyah, Kate Rusby, Nancy Kerr, Fleetwood Mac, Patrick Wolf, Tracy Chapman, Brandi Carlile,  Missy Higgins, Ella Fitzgerald, Delta Rae, Miley Cyrus - but honestly I’ll listen to almost anything and if it works for the vid that’ll make me love the song anyway! (And uhh… I know it’s deeply unlikely but I would very much appreciate if you did not use a Ronan Keating song.)
General:
I love vids that make me feel feelings! Character studies, friendship vids, vids about communities and teams, cute vids, sad vids, silly vids, dancey vids, people kicking ass vids… Mainly I just want to feel emotions about the thing in handy-dandy vid form.
Alpennia Series - Heather Rose Jones (Novels)
I am so into this series! I’ve really enjoyed all of the POV characters so far and I’d be up for anything about any of the central relationships or characters, but I’d also be really thrilled with something that captures the general vibe of the series - magic, mystery, scholarship, queer community, intrigue - or the feel of 19th-century Alpennia, particularly the city of Rotenek.
As Time Goes By (UK TV) (67 x 30-min episodes)
This was my go-to comfort show a while back and I’ve recently been rewatching it and remembering how much I love it! I’m here for absolutely anything, but if you’re stuck I’d love a vid about Jean and Lionel’s romance (heartfelt or funny or a mix of both), a fun ensemble vid, or absolutely anything about Jean and her ridiculous perfect Judi Dench face.
Ghosts (UK TV) (12 x 30-min episodes)
I was even more delighted by S2 of this show than S1 - I love how we’re getting a deeper insight into everyone. I’d love anything but some thoughts are - something focusing on Kitty, something that explores all of the ghosts’ pasts, something about the way Allison and Mike’s relationships with the ghosts are evolving, something that leans into the joyousness of the S2 finale...
M*A*S*H (251 25-min episodes) This show about how people cope when they’re stuck in a situation that is simultaneously horrifying and boring and that is made worse by incompetent or outright malicious leadership has been really helpful to rewatch this year, I wonder why...? Anyway, I’d love anything but especially an ensemble vid that focuses more on friendship, fun, love and laughter than on the angst (although this is M*A*S*H so SOME angst is fine), something about Klinger that takes his cross-dressing seriously as part of his gender identity/expression (vid itself doesn’t have to be serious as long as his clothes aren’t positioned as a joke), something exploring Hawkeye and Margaret’s friendship from any angle (I don’t ship-ship them these days but I appreciate their more romance-adjacent moments as part of the whole shape of their friendship), or, if there’s enough footage, something about Kellye!
Star Trek: Lower Decks (10 x 25-min episodes)
I LOVE BECKETT MARINER. I love everyone in this bar but I love Beckett the best so I would adore something about her, whether fun and silly or a more serious character study. I’d also be delighted with an ensemble vid, either just about the lower decks gang or the senior staff as well, something general about the shenanigans they get up to, something that leans on how much this show loves being a Star Trek show... the only thing I would rather you didn’t do is a vid that is solely about Mariner and Freeman’s relationship. (I don’t mind if it comes up as part of a larger whole but I am very picky when it comes to mother-daughter stories so I’d prefer it not to be the central focus.)
The Snow Spider (TV 2020) [SAFETY] (5 x 25-min episodes)
The book this is based on is a childhood favourite of mine and this new adaptation was really beautiful! I’d be excited to see any vid at all for it but especially something that captures the sense of magic and wonder, something that shows off the gorgeous North Wales scenery (I haven’t been back since January and I’m homesick!), or just something that lets me relive the story in a convenient bite-size form!

Hi Sarah! I know you felt about Taylor’s look, but I’m genuinely curious what you thought about everyone else’s’ looks at the globes!? Would love to hear your opinions!
I’m sure you’ve already got asks about this sitting in your inbox, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on Golden Globes looks overall!
My faves: Regina King in Alberta Ferretti (what a winner looks like), Sandra Oh in Versace (the architectural details — and so deserving to be wearing Versace), Gemma Chan in Valentino (the colour was divine), Lupita Nyong’o in Calvin Klein (glad she wore purple because she redefines what REGAL means), Alison Brie in Vera Wang (I know this was a very divisive look but I, for one, loved the dark princess vibe), Timothée Chalamet In Louis Vuitton, Emmy Rossum in Monique Lhuillier (Emmy always delivers and god bless her for it), Constance Wu in Vera Wang (that orange ribbon was to die for but I was shocked this wasn’t Dior)
Chadwick!!!! My heart sings. But I wish the sleeves weren’t so short on his Versace blazer.
Dakota Fanning in Armani Prive looked good but think it should have been given to Nicole Kidman. Who for all my dislike at being overrated would have definitely suited the gown.
Saoirse Ronan’s Gucci look reminded me very much of a Kaufmanfranco gown Taylor wore for a People shoot back in 2014. Loved her earrings, though.
Julia Roberts in Stella McCartney — interesting, unexpected, and sculptural.
I loved Camilla Bell’s gown and fierce eye makeup but wish it was served on a nominee.
I was extremely surprised to see Anne Hathaway. Very unexpectedly bold for her. Even more so to learn that her gown wasn’t Roberto Cavalli but Elie Saab. I want to like it. Will need to sit with it more.
Julianne Moore’s Givenchy had potential. The silhouette was so fascinating! I’m shocked it was custom considering it didn’t fit properly. Which is a shame.
I am very into the Rosamund Pike x Givenchy unofficial partnership. So unexpected but so interesting.
Emma Stone’s makeup was beautiful but her gown looked like it belonged to French actress Isabelle Huppert. I would really like her partnership with LV to be over so she can go back to being one of my favourites to watch on the red carpet.
Alison Janney looked statuesque but wished her hair was pulled back and perhaps lighter on the necklaces.
Patricia Clarkson outdressing girls two decades her senior in Georges Chakra Couture. Loved the orange colour on her.
Danai Gurira is a fierce queen in EVERYTHING. More orange to love.
Elisabeth Moss is dressing like the supporting actress of a b movie about college life when she is the lead actress in a highly acclaimed drama. Get your fucking shit together, Elisabeth.
And on THAT note. I adore Gaga for committing and going there with the drama. She definitely brought the overdramatique glamour to the event. I wish her hair had not been dyed, though. It looked like an air canister of drugstore colour had been shot at her bun. It is Gaga, though.
I loved the colour and the dark, moody makeup that was paired with Claire Foy’s sunny yellow Miu Miu gown. However, I wish it was free of embellishments and had a much better fit. A shame.
I liked Keri Russell’s shimmering Monique Lhuillier. Ditto Thandie Newton in Michael Kors.
Wish Janelle Monae had removed the hat from her Chanel ensemble.
What the fuck Amber Heard. I will rescind any “saloon” comments I got about Taylor’s hair by comparison to Amber. She looks very bar wench.
Kate Mara’s Miu Miu was only acceptable if she’s pregnant. Barely.
Wanting desperately to love Taraji P. Henson’s emerald green gown but dat gaping neckline tho …
I loved the colour of Rachel Brosnahan’s yellow Prada but it looked like it was trying too hard to be Lea Seydoux’s yellow Prada from the 2015 BAFTAs and on that point it fails because it cannot even compare to that moment.
Catherine Zeta Jones smoking (but dated) in emerald green Elie Saab
Caitriona Balfe in Moschino. So interesting! And I think I liked it.
Overall an underwhelming RC, imo.

Below-freezing temperatures and bulky outerwear can make winter a challenging time, sartorially speaking, but come January, the gloves are off—both literally and figuratively—when Hollywood’s jet-set touches down in sunny Los Angeles for award season. Thanks to a blockbuster year in film, music, and television, the 2019 red carpets are an opportunity to make a major statement. Here, we’ve shown an early spotlight on 23 actors and musicians guaranteed to land spots on the 2019 awards season’s best-dressed lists. Let’s start with a red carpet renaissance woman: Lady Gaga is going to have an epic award season. We can’t wait to see what she wears to the Golden Globes, the Oscars, and the Grammys when she wins big for basically everything A Star Is Born is nominated for; her style evolution has been a true Hollywood glow-up! A close second and perennial team Who What Wear fave, Emma Stone is bound to inspire your next black-tie event look when she hits the red carpets in 2019. Think she’ll take any notes from her character, Abigail Masham, in The Favorite and go full baroque, or keep it completely contemporary with the latest from Louis Vuitton? Speaking of The Favourite ,  Joe Alwyn , aka Baron Masham, aka the first earl of Leicester in Mary Queen of Scots , is guaranteed to have a memorable awards season (especially if Taylor Swift is on his arm). The 27-year-old British actor had a banner year with four movies premiering in 2018, and undoubtedly cribbed a few style notes from several of Hollywood’s leading ladies—we have a feeling his star status is about to skyrocket. Of course, award season wouldn’t be a must-watch moment if not for a little healthy competition. Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie , two of 2018’s best dressed and co-stars/rivals in Mary Queen of Scots , are absolutely going to slay—sartorially speaking. Spoiler alert: There’s a clear winner in the film (and, um, history), but we’d be absolutely thrilled if the top red carpet ranking featured a tie between these two sensational style stars. While we’re revisiting history, let us remember the ground-breaking, earth-shaking, and red carpet–rousing movie of the year, Black Panther . Boasting an all-star lineup and memorable world premiere in which the cast paid homage to African royalty, we hope this stylish crew—especially Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o, Michael B. Jordan, Leticia Wright, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, and Angela Bassett —continues its winning streak throughout award season. Wakanda forever! Crazy Rich Asians , one of the most over-the-top and enjoyable fashion films of the year, was a feast for the eyes both on screen and at the red carpet premiere. Constance Wu , the movie’s leading lady, worked with celeb stylist and Who What Wear contributor  Micaela Erlanger  for the press tour last summer, creating gorgeous looks for a range of appearances. We love how they play with fashion together and can’t wait to see which designer is selected for the Globes in January. Fashion’s latest It boy, Timothée Chalamet , had an incredible 2017 with Oscar-nominated films Lady Bird and Call Me by Your Name , and this year, he added Golden Globe nominee to his list of accolades. Not only does the Beautiful Boy star embrace bold colors and prints, but he’s also reportedly self-styled. We’re impressed! If you haven’t already heard of Kiki Layne , don’t worry—you will soon. Her breakout film, If Beale Street Could Talk , an adaptation of James Baldwin’s 1974 novel by Oscar-winning director Barry Jenkins, has already been nominated for several Golden Globes ahead of its premiere. Kiki has a major year ahead of her with at least two other projects in the can, and we’re excited for her red carpet debut with Regina King, her fellow Beale Street star and Golden Globe nominee. Rounding out our list of film favorites is a newcomer, Elsie Fisher . At just 15, she has captured hearts as the cringe-worthy (in the best way!) ingenue of Bo Burnham’s directorial debut, Eighth Grade , which premiered over the summer. Elsie has already made an impression at smaller red carpet events, and she recently spoke to Vanity Fair about her affinity for suits, remarking, “I feel like suits are very me… I look poppin’ in ’em!” We couldn’t agree more. As far as red carpet style goes, we find musicians tend to be a bit more daring than actors, which is why we’re especially excited for the 2019 Grammys. One woman who never ceases to surprise us with her style chops is Cardi B, who is up for album of the year for Invasion of Privacy . Whether Cardi goes full-on glam, breaks a piece out of Versace’s archives, or debuts her upcoming collab with Fashion Nova, we know she’ll dress to impress—red bottoms, guaranteed. It’s no surprise that with the rise of the rosé wave in pop music came the return of cowboy boots . At the center of this ethereal yet empowering moment is singer Kacey Musgraves . The “Velvet Elvis” singer has already racked up several Country Music Awards but was recently nominated for album of the year for Golden Hour , transcending the confines of her genre, and presenting an opportunity to show off her unique mix of vintage-meets–high-fashion style at next year’s Grammys. We’ve had our eyes on Dua Lipa ever since she explained “New Rules” to us in 2017, and we were thrilled by her two Grammy nominations this year. Up for best new artist and best dance recording, this edgy British singer and street style star will undoubtedly make a major red carpet splash throughout 2019. Is there anything Tessa Thompson can’t do? In addition to her appearance in Janelle Monae’s much-buzzed-about “Pynk” music video, the Creed and Westworld star is a style chameleon who’s bound to thrive during award season—even if she’s just there to support her friends and castmates, the similarly suave Michael B. Jordan and Thandie Newton. Let’s talk about Lili Reinhart for a minute: Not only has she captured hearts as Betty (and Dark Betty!) on Riverdale for the past three seasons, but she’s also become a media darling, sharing insights into acting , acne , and of course, all things Archie. Notably, we love her brand-new campaign photos for the Mighty Company x Ilaria Urbanati celestial-inspired charity collection—hey, if anyone can pull of stars and stripes on a red carpet, it’s Lili. See you at the Emmys? If you haven’t already caught up on Atlanta , consider this an official mandate. You’ll probably recognize Zazie Beetz as Vanessa Keefer, Donald Glover’s character’s ex-girlfriend. Or maybe you remember her from Deadpool 2 as Domino, a mutant whose superpower is luck. Either way, Zazzie is definitely one to watch this red carpet season, especially since she’s being styled by Jason Bolden, whose other clients include Yara Shahidi and Sasha Lane. Be sure to look for her at this year’s Golden Globes supporting Donald, and hopefully again on the Emmys red carpet next fall. Finally, we’ve got the one and only  Busy Philipps. Unless you’ve completely opted out of pop culture and social media this year, Philipps has been on your mind—or more accurately, on your phone! A forever fave from early aughts teen dramas Dawson’s Creek and Freaks and Geeks , Philipps has BLOWN UP in 2018 thanks to her hilarious commentary, candor, and colorful style which is broadcast via her Instagram, recently released memoir, This Will Only Hurt a Little , and new E! show, Busy Tonight . Working with stylist Karla Welch (who also counts Tracee Ellis Ross and Sarah Paulson as clients), you know Busy’s bound to bust a move, whether on the red carpet, in her nightgown, or at a tiny trampoline class. Think I missed any potential red carpet style stars of 2019? Hit me up on Twitter or Instagram at @Drewblahblah and we’ll put them on Who What Wear’s radar before the New Year. Up Next:  From the Oscars to the Golden Globes, Cannes to the British Fashion Awards here’s where you’ll find the most glorious red carpet looks .

Halsey in Prabal Gurung – Serious Princess Jasmine Feels!
Hey guys and welcome to my annual Met Gala blog post on my favourite and least favourite looks from the yearly event! I honestly obsess over the Met Gala every year because the fashion is just so amazing and its just such a beautiful display of designers talents and skills and there were definitely some amazing looks from last nights event and then again some not so amazing looks. If you haven’t read any of my Met Gala posts before then basically this is a round up of my personal favourites and least favourite looks from the night.
The Met Gala is hosted by Anna Wintour and this year the theme was Camp : Notes on Fashion as it works with the new exhibition coming up at the MET Museum inspired by the US writer and the activist Susan Sontag and her Essay “Notes on Camp” from 1964. So for fashion it mirrors the sense of humour, theatricals, parody and a dash of exaggeration which was definitely spot on with some of the looks! So without further adieu here are my best looks!
My number 1 has to be Halsey (above) she just looked so amazing and like a goddess with that deep cherry red and the gold bracelets and armlets along with her gorgeous skin and make up she just looked flawless! Here are the rest of my favourites along with some other amazing looks!
Tumblr media
Gemma Chan in Tom Ford – This headpiece is amazing!
Tumblr media
Kylie Jenner in Versace – Absolutely obsessed with this
Tumblr media
Celine Dion in Oscar De La Renta – She looks absolutely beautiful. A goddess!
Tumblr media
Saoirse Ronan in Gucci – I love the colours! A natural Irish beauty!
Tumblr media
Lady Gaga by Bradon Maxwell – 4 outfits in 15 minutes. Lady Gaga is that bitch.
Rosie Huntington Whitely in Oscar De La Renta – A classical beauty
Tumblr media
Kendall Jenner in Versace – I adore this colour on her! So beautiful!
Tumblr media
Dua Lipa in Versace – It has pockets too!
Gisele Bündchen in Dior
Kim Kardashian in Thierry Mugler
Sienna Miller in Paco Robanne
Lily Rose Depp in Versace
Emily Blunt in Michael Kors
Jourdan Dunn in Zac Posen
Stella Maxwell in Moschino
Janelle Monae in Christian Siriano
Candice Swanepoel in Prabal Gurung
Kate Moss in Marc Jacobs
And here are my least favourite looks from the night. There are always people who miss the mark at these kinds of events and these are the ones who didn’t do anything for me last night so in no particular order :
Tumblr media
Kris Jenner in Tommy Hilfiger
Kris Jenner is a stunning woman for her age (even though she has had help with it) but she looks a little aged last night in this look which is just not working for me. I like the idea of the blonde wig but it seems to yellow to me for this look and I think that a silvery blonde may have worked better and tied in with the outfit more as its more of a navy colour. The jumpsuit looks like it doesn’t actually fit her also. There just seems to be bags of excess around the waist area, the eye make up seems a little heavy and I just think she could have had a better look for her.
Karlie Kloss in Gucci x Dapper Dan
Its boring. Thats all I can really say about this. Its a plain gold, puffy sleeve dress that looks like it belongs to a prom date from the early 90s who was asked last minute. The sleeves could have been so much better if they were a literal puff ball sitting right on top of the shoulder in my opinion.
Tumblr media
Tiffany Haddish in Michael Kors
Apparently she was aiming for a “Pimperella” vibe with this outfit and she got it. I just don’t feel it. It does nothing for her, the print combined with the oversized style and bootcut trouser legs, just makes her looks bigger than she is and then the hat and matching bag as well I just can’t get on board with it.
Tumblr media
Katy Perry in Moschino
You’re creative Katy we get it. Its the Met Gala not a live broadway show of Beauty and The Beast. I know that the Jenner sisters based themselves on the ugly stepsister but they looked stunning,  Zendaya wore a light up Cinderella dress complete with fairy godmother stylist Law Roach but this is just a bit over the top. Besides that your back is going to be in bits from having to hold up the dress, the head piece and your arms up in that position for a length of time.
Tumblr media
Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen in Vintage Chanel
Tired looking, plain, uninteresting and just flat looking outfits. Its vintage Chanel you can have fun with it and considering the theme it was the opportunity to do so but classic Olsen twins they chose to be exactly as I described the outfits in the opening sentence…
Tumblr media
Kristen Stewart in Chanel
Its a no from me. Kristen has pulled off some amazing red carpet looks in the past but this is just very throw together I feel and then the hair as well?
I hope you enjoyed this years Met Gala review post and have a happy Tuesday!
Ever yours
Lily

Dear Festividder...
I really like folk music, rock, pop, 80s power ballads, female singer-songwriters with their own instruments, some country, musical theatre soundtracks… if you’re looking for more to go on, artists I like include Dar Williams, Vienna Teng, Regina Spektor, Ingrid Michaelson, Janelle Monae, Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Bonnie Langford, Foxes, CHVRCHES, The Burns Unit, Clannad, Cyndi Lauper, Dolly Parton, Florence + the Machine, Lorde, Karine Polwart, Jim Moray, Toyah, Kate Rusby, Nancy Kerr, Fleetwood Mac, Patrick Wolf, Tracy Chapman, Brandi Carlile,  Missy Higgins, Ella Fitzgerald - but honestly I’ll listen to almost anything and if it works for the vid that’ll make me love the song anyway!
One Day at a Time (TV 2017) (39 x 30-min episodes)
This series is so full of love and so heartwarming and good, and I’d love absolutely anything about it! If you’re looking for ideas though, maybe something about how the three generations of women connect, a lighthearted/comedy vid about everybody, or a character study of Penelope.
Taskmaster (UK TV) (85 x 45-min episodes)
Things I love about this show: the silliness yet creativity of the challenges, the outside-the-box approaches some of the contestants take, the slapstick, the sense of camaraderie between the contestants, and the general lighthearted vibe. I’d love anything that captures that. I haven’t seen all of the seasons yet but some of my favourite contestants are Roisin Conaty, Richard Osman, Katherine Ryan, absolutely everyone in Series 4, Nish Kumar, Aisling Bea, Sally Phillips and Liza Tarbuck. Another of my fave things is when there are two whole girls in a series and they are rooting for each other, see Lolly & Mel and Aisling & Sally. I love Greg and Alex too but I’m less into their on-screen dynamic. Although it occurs to me that a vid that was just about Alex setting and administering the challenges could be absolutely hilarious!
The Vicar of Dibley (28 x 30-min episodes)
Another cosy comfort show! This is one I go back to again and again, and I’d be delighted with anything for it. I love Geraldine, I love how genuine and how kind she is and how much she cares about her community while being aware of their eccentricities. I’d love a Geraldine vid, a Geraldine-and-Alice vid, a Geraldine-and-everyone vid, a Geraldine-and-her-faith vid, ensemble silliness and general shenanigans...
Xanadu (1980) (Movie, safety fandom)
I LOVE this film with deep sincerity but part of that love is recognising that it’s COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS, so don’t worry if you’re working from a more tongue-in-cheek angle. I’d love to see anything that showcases the absurdity of the plot, the glitzy delight of the musical numbers, the fabulous late 70s/early 80s-ness of the setting, the dancing, the characters, the sheer OTT-ness of the entire production…

General:
This’ll probably become rapidly obvious with my individual requests, but I love vids about women! Character studies, friendship vids, vids about communities and teams, cute vids, sad vids, silly vids, dancey vids, people kicking ass vids… Mainly though I just want to feel emotions about the thing in handy-dandy vid form.
As to the individual fandoms:
Home Fires (UK TV) (12 x 45 min episodes)
I love this series! I love the stories it tells about women working together and supporting each other, I love the dramatic jam-making montages and the moments of unexpected connection. I love Steph, Pat, Joyce and Teresa, and I especially love Frances and her relationship with Sarah, but I’d honestly be thrilled with anything about any character or the community overall.
Jam and Jerusalem (aka Clatterford) (19 x 30-min episodes)
This is one of my favourite shows of all time. I’d love anything about the whole community or anything about any one of the women or any individual relationship or group of relationships, you really can’t go wrong. A few favourites are Sal/Tip (friendship or shippy), Caroline/Suzie, Eileen and her Guild… Sal, Tip and Yasmeen are my favourite characters but only by a hair!
Steerswoman Series - Rosemary Kirstein (Novels)
I absolutely adore these books! I know it’s unlikely anyone will attempt this so if you do I’d honestly be thrilled with anything! But my favourite elements of the books are Rowan and Bel’s friendship, the community of steerswomen, the travel/quest elements and the worldbuilding.
Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego? (40 x 20-min episodes)
I recently fell in love with this all over again after watching it a lot as a kid. Carmen is my fave! I’d love a vid about her escaping from Ivy and Zack in improbable ways, or about the weird slightly mentory relationship she has with Ivy in particular, or just about what a badass genius thief she is!
The Worst Witch (2017) (26 x 30-min episodes)
I got a terrific vid for this last year but this is my primary fandom at the moment and my thirst for it CANNOT BE SLAKED*. The vid I received last year was about Miss Hardbroom, so I’d prefer her not to be the main focus of a vid this year, but she is my FAVE so it’s still great if she’s in the mix. In terms of what I WOULD like, I’d love anything about the school as a community and the different generations of witches and how they interact. I’d also love to see a character study for Ada (I have a lot of feelings about her complex, difficult relationships with her sister and her mother and her legacy and her school. I also ship her with Hecate if you happen to feel like working that in), Dimity (I love how she balances being the “cool teacher” who relates well to the kids with always stepping up in a crisis), or Miss Mould (I don’t know if it’s possible to make a vid about her given how comparatively little screen time she had, but if it is I’d love to see it. The show hints at her perspective and motivations but we don’t really get to explore them). Ooh, or a vid about the Hallow sisters.
* That said I’m equally excited about all of these fandoms, so no worries if we matched on something else! (And sorry this section is longer, my thoughts here are just a bit more specific!)
Xanadu (1980) (Movie, safety fandom)
I LOVE this ridiculous film with deep sincerity but part of that love is recognising that it’s super mockable, so don’t worry if you’re working from a more tongue-in-cheek angle. I’d love to see anything that showcases the absurdity of the plot, the glitzy delight of the musical numbers, the fabulous late 70s/early 80s-ness of the setting, the dancing, the characters, the sheer OTT-ness of the entire production...
