I was doing my usual thirsting over fictional characters to my grandma and the thief of my heart this time was Ronan, I showed her a picture and she went "Ew, he's ugly! His features are too sharp!" He's too pretty for this abuse omg-

mcyt x hhlr but it's that one line from passerine that goes "A fathers arms never forget the shape of his children" or somethin like that but instead it's Brianna holding Connor Cara Ronan and Paddy with her arms around their shoulders pulling them close and they're little kids and then there's a second pic and it's them older, Paddy isn't there, and it's her holding them to try to calm them down as Bay Hollow is attacked and burned and they fear for their lives and she's got this calm, protective look on her face-

IT WAS GOING SO WELL TILL CARAS HANDS HAD TO BE DRAWN DONT LET ME DRAW DURING AN ALL NIGHTER I WILL FAIL

When you’re stuck taking your little siblings trick or treating and the rascals decide “Let’s run away at every opportunity” drastic times call for drastic measures, note the little strings connecting them to Ronan, a trick I myself use for my nephews and sister.

Also halfway through I realized Ronan didn’t exactly have anything halloweeny so much like how my big sister was on halloween the answer was “slap on some cat ears, permanent marker a nose and whiskers, and let’s hurry”. Cara and Connor are meant to be Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf!!

Edit: okay so when I wrote this I imagined ronan and cara as merfolk as well but the mental image if ronan as a crab is also amazing and I can't pick which i love more

Headcanon: Connor Whitlaw is the kid who dramatically clutches onto these weird handle things in the car, it started when he was like twelve and Ronan was learning to drive and took corners to fast and he'd grab onto it so he didn't fall to his side, now he does it on pure instinct whenever he's in the car and they go around a sharp corner.

Malark meeting Cara, Connor, and Ronan be like

Paddy: Oh! This is Malark he’s-

Cara: Who are you?

Connor: Who are you?

Ronan: Who are you?

All together: Who are you? Who? Who is this kid? What’s he gonna dO?!

Stay Alive reprise but it's Ronan as dying Phillip, Brianna as Eliza, and Seamus as Alexander. Connor is trying to keep Cara and Paddy outside of the room where Ronan and their parents are. There's silence till they hear the Brianna version of Eliza's scream and Connor just has to hold back his siblings who are screaming and crying for Ronan and their parents while he cries.

It's quiet uptown but it's Brianna and Seamus after Ronan was killed in a fight protecting his siblings. They've rebuilt Bay Hollow but no matter how similar to the original it is, without their son it feels much colder and the beautiful autumn colors look less bright for the Whitlaws.
