Hinny 💍 - The One With No Voldy and Where Everyone Lives

AU, where Harry happens to hear a conversation between his grandfather, Fleamont Potter, and his father, James. Fleamont, who has been looking weaker by the day, tells his son he knows his and Euphemia's time is coming to an end, and his only regret is not being able to witness Harry grow up and get married. This bothers Harry, and while on a playdate at the Burrow, he confides in Ginny, who responds as if it were the most obvious solution: "Then let's get married."

They persuade their families to arrange a gathering, and they con the Weasley brothers into decorating the backyard. Ron stands by Harry's side as his best man, while Luna is Ginny's bridesmaid. All it took was one look from Harry and Ginny to convince Sirius to turn into Padfoot to be their ring bearer/flower girl; his outfit consisted of a bowtie and a tutu (James, Remus, Gideon, and Fabian nearly fell off their chairs laughing so hard).

They made each other's wedding rings. Harry's ring was made from the metal from his grandma's old Auror badge (which Euphemia gave to her willingly) and the very first snitch he caught for the first time and gifted to her. Ginny convinced Fabian and Gideon to transform into a ring. Ginny's ring was made of her favorite green bubble gum (that was suspiciously similar to Harry's eye color) and twigs of their broomsticks as the band, which Harry convinced his dad and Sirius to smooth out and place an unbreakable charm on with an auto-replenishing charm on the bubble gum.

They both dressed themselves for the occasion, and Harry asked his mom and godmother Marlene to help him pick flowers for Ginny's bouquet. He smelled each one and was very picky persistent it had to smell like Ginny's hair. It took Harry HOURS until he was finally satisfied with the arrangement. Molly volunteered to make their wedding cake, and a few days before the wedding, Ginny told her dad in a very grown-up tone to wear a bowtie because he was walking her down the aisle on Sunday. Hinny asked Hagrid to marry them, and when it was time to kiss the bride, Harry was just about to protest/lecture Hagrid about how he should have asked Ginny for her consent instead of giving him permission "to kiss the bride" (the boy was Lily Potter's son and a true feminist at heart), when Ginny pulled Harry down and gave Harry a big kiss on the lips. The kid was frozen for a solid minute and then couldn't stop smiling as he followed his 'wife' around all day.

They made Fleamont and Euphemia's wishes come true.

Then, 16 years later, they got married again.

ok ven is genuineposting about a comedy podcast again alert but im in the middle of the newest dndads ep and ngl. one thing the crew has always done SO WELL is the way they manage to portray that these characters are real friends

the s1 dads are the strongest example of this to me and ill use those moments as examples because ive listened to it the most but its so obvious in every single other season and character group theyve ever made, and it popped into my head when the s3 crew learn that trudys a bot

like all the characters do fight and get into disagreements and do shitty things to eachother, sometimes the reason being that its a comedy and sometimes glenn stealing darryls car or any of them really calling any other dad a bad parent is funny ..... but then they have these insanely genuine moments that feel so fucking real and honest that arent played for laughs for a second. glenn hugging ron when he gets out of prison and ron crying, the rest of the dad crew essentially tackling glenn into a big hug after learning his wife is dead, everyone being SO ready to dropkick willy when they learn what they did to ron and yelling at him so much that anthony cant get a word in for a good minute, the hug darryl, henry, and ron have after ron talks to a therapist and henry talks to autumn and darryl talks to his dad, glenn sharing with darryl that he doesnt know what hes gonna do or if hes gonna stay in the realms after the big omegadaddies finale fight but never for a second even considering not helping the daddies get back to earth even if hes not gonna follow them,,,

i 100% believe that its one of the core foundations of dndads, that thats a big subconscious reason why people instantly adore this podcast so much and the crew is so fucking good at being earnest when they need to be. these characters, no matter which group of them were talking about (s1, 2, 3, or the miniseries ones) are real friends who care about eachother and would kill and die for eachother

This post won't get any notes and I don't fucking care--I CLIMBED MOUNT PADALECKI TODAY.

So Atlanta Comic Con is this weekend and I saw that Jared Padalecki was going, but what's CRAZY is his rates were half what they are at SPN cons so it meant he was now within my price range ($160 for the photo op, $140 for the autograph) so I saved up and me and my friend @batmarg drove up to see him at the GA World Congress Center.

So we did the autograph first. I told him that it means a lot to me that Sam is kind of an outcast and has this anxiety and anger issues, and that I really enjoyed the performance. He was so sweet and gracious and told me I looked pretty, which is so awesome.

I also got to meet Ron Perlman at his autograph table. He's a man of few words, but he made a couple of chuckleworthy jokes and thanked me for coming out to see him, and he gave us each a fist bump! It was a legendary moment, no pun intended. What a guy.

As for the photo op with Jared, that also has a little giggle moment attached to it. I always ask actors or celebrities if a hug is okay--I never want to be disrespectful and do something outside of their comfort zone--and he grins at me and says "I fucking LOVE hugs" and then gathers me up in his arms and SQUISHES ME INTO HIM SO NICE AND TIGHT. Oh, it was PERFECT. See, I'm 5'8'' and that's 3 inches taller than the average American girl, so I kind of have a little bit of a complex where I like guys over six feet tall because I just feel safer when they hug me, and I didn't even ask him to squish me but he did it anyway and I am OVER THE FUCKING MOON ABOUT IT. I love, love, love being squished by tall celebrities, so he really did make my day, month, year, and life with that. I'm so grateful I got to meet him and without having to fly to an SPN con and pay $300-350 for it too. If nothing else, I thank 2024 for letting me have this one tiny little thing in the field of misery that is my life.

Thanks for everything, Moose! It was wonderful meeting you. <3

He was so lovely, he put his arm around me when the crew at LFCC said I was nervous (I was visibly shaking), and he was really nice when I went for my autograph. He’s very polite, a little shy, he said he’s having a good time but that it’s “a lot” and “very busy”, and he seemed touched when I said I’d been a Harry Potter fan since I was 11 and a half years old 🫶🏻🥹🫂
