As an Ancient Rome enthusiast, I have a very passionate love-hate relationship with HBO Rome. I’ve been rewatching it and trying to figure out why Vorenus and Pullo bother me so much, and I think I got it:

it’s like finding fan fiction of my favorite story and wanting to read about the characters I know and love, but the author is just obsessed with proving how cool and important their self-insert oc is.

The Terror and some really convoluted fanfic ideas:

1) It's March, and for some reason Franklin starts to get more and more suspicious of Fitzjames, despite being almost (or maybe not even almost) a father to him. And he's right. JFJ is plotting

2) Crozier is being, well... himself. And Hickey risks himself to save others, even though he wasn't on duty, and dies terrible death. Also he's married and his spouse is really ride-or-die for him.

3) Hickey is still involved in some torrid love affairs, also has serious problems with substance abuse and, consequently, with his family. Mind you he has an extraordinarily talented family. Besides, he's a former "gifted child" and a complete mess. Edit: Tozer is here too and he's kinda in love(?) with Hickey.

because i use tumblr in my mobile browser i see my follower count on my way to my my activity feed and my follower count has been dropping like crazy recently and I did have a "oh no what did I do :(" moment but then I realized that what I did was radically switching my blog content from "Taylor Swift posts :)" to "random screencaps of two grown men in tunics looking at each other with captions like 'omg they were crazy here'"
