i think i was the first monkey to type it into a popular post (a reblog comment that blew up, and then there were other popular posts to dunk on twitter and it became a tentpole of our identity)... but it's a pretty obvious joke that i'm sure lots of people came up with independently, so i don't know how much credit i could really take.

but here's the weird thing... that "popular post" apparently disappeared??

i found a handful of reddit screenshots, but no sign of the post itself anywhere still on tumblr.

i went into my archive around that post id (late november 2020) in case the problem was a change in link url style or that op's username changed, but the post isn't there. i googled phrases from the post itself (both with site:tumblr and otherwise) and nothing.

i don't think i've ever seen a viral tumblr post disappear and take reblogs with it like that. does this happen all the time?

Golf is an extremely effeminate game. Its a non-contact low-exertion activity played on a perfectly manicured little picnic lawn and between individual actions you sit in a dainty car and get driven to the next spot so you arent blemished by the act of walking under the sun. Do you know my dear who's reading this post now there's no foods, vegetables, flour, fruits or any type of it in whole Gaza strip, seriously now people are suffering from famine, really people hungry. For me and my family it's ok we can eat anything even trees leafs 🍃 but how about my child 9 months what I should feed him no milk no eggs no chicken no meat no anythings contain Phosphorus, protein, calcium and vitamins، and if you rarely found anything from these things the price came from moon. The prices are unbelievable, even USA,  Canada, Europe, Australia don't have this prices 😑.Imagen this your situation this your life this your child for the God any one tell me what I should to do. Sometimes I wish I could die and get rid of this thinking, why us? If anyone know the answer tell me what to do?

You know how Dr. Sharon tried to leave without saying goodbye? What if the team and the town know that Ted is going back to Kansas and they organize the most epic goodbye bonanza but he's already on the plane?

What if Ted sees that Rebecca is smitten with Dutch Ted (bc he'll be BAHCK) and he's heartbroken and figures he's met his goals with the team and decides to leave London to be with his son? What if he left Rebecca a note Sharon-style suggesting that he loves her but wishes her the best? But by the time she gets it, he's already on the plane.

Remember when Ted tossed his keys to Beard so he could fetch his breakup CD (lolz my man) for Roy, and Beard said he already had a set of keys? What if Beard goes to Ted's apartment with Rebecca and it's clear that Ted has packed and is already on the damn plane?

What if this makes Rebecca so dang ticked off that this fool went and left without saying goodbye because they're basically the same person? What if Rebecca is like, fuck that, I'll show him, and gets in her private jet to chase him down to Kansas so that she can give him a piece of her mind full of expletives and high heels as only she can?

What if she's in such a tornado of anger that she doesn't even really notice that she's in a foreign place until the last minute? What if all this pent-up anger connects her to her pent-up desire so that when she gets to Ted and is all ready to GO OFF she stops because she sees him, really sees him, and realizes that he's not just the sum of quirky Ted parts like Dutch Ted, he's TED, the real Ted, her soulmate Ted? What if he sees her slowly realize this?
