Another month of reading knocked out of the park.

I found a new series to binge read and devoured it all. Loved every minute of it.

Found a new favorite and now eagerly waiting for book 2 to be released.

This was a much better month rating wise.

Why trad-style dating (courtship) is still cool:

It's perfectly safe. No risk of Stds.

It allows you to get to know your lover as a person, not just a beautiful body.

It's easier to correct course when you have just hugged them too soon than when you had sex too soon.

It can be very playful: the little furtive looks you send to each other as you hold hands, testing the waters. The little flower you may give her.

It can be magical in a way that casual sex can't be: when you slow dance together and dare to cuddle up, smelling their perfume and blushing rose.

It's a art that is cutely vintage and not just stereotypical: all can love a chair that is pulled, a coat offered, a "Ladies first" or a "Gentlemen first" or even "Sweet peas first".

It pushed you to make the night extra special, no matter what you choose, expensive Bâton-Rouge filet mignon or simply a McDonald's coffee together late at night.

It can be relaxing, no pressure.

Most of all, it allows you to see, over dates and activities, if that special one is a keeper.

i think my fail durge run has made me realize that for an astarion romance im less narratively interested in him with someone who indulges in the evil and petty parts of his personality but rather a goody two shoes who he first turns his nose up at but then gradually realizes that not everyone in the world is out to get him and that he can trust people

thinking of making a demiprince oc. first idea was demiprince of obsession, kind of taking some aspects of sheogorath and jyggy, but idk how broad demi princes are. sorta kinda inspired by my own issues ;>>

painter prayed to sheogorath for inspiration, then did nothing but paint until he eventually collapsed and died. demiprince steps out of the painting and is like ‘well, guess this is my house now’
