You get a glossary, you get a glossary, you get a glossary!
Everyone gets a glossary
How does this work?
The Rolescape glossary reads an SKOS (simple knowledge organization system) and creates a page on Rolescape user profiles with a corresponding glossary. Any time a word or phrase from the glossary is used somewhere on Rolescape, a link pointing to the term in the user’s glossary is created.
The goal of this is to help make blogs and content more understandable as well as providing a basis for backstory. It would link posts with key terms and key terms with other key terms. Based on your glossary, terms in your posts and threads are high-lighted automatically, definitions are provided "inline" (as mouse-over effect) and links to the glossary terms are generated on-the-fly. The glossary is available as an extra resource on the blog and can be navigated to learn more about the knowledge domain instantly.
This can be used for terms, or even phrases, and you can choose whether or not you want to link to them on a post-by-post basis, so you won’t have to worry about giving repeated information every single time you use a word.
This will work with phrases/any keyword you set up and predefine.
USE CASE:
EX: If you are writing a thread with my character who is hard of hearing, i may add "hard of hearing" to my glossary so when it's mentioned in thread, you can hover over it and it will give you the backstory on how my character experienced an explosion.
I figure this will make interactions between people easier as sometimes characters have a LOT of backstory, and I know it can be overwhelming. This way, you can link to information only when it's relevant to your plot.

🌴 I've been rping for a very long time, as far as tumblr's rpc goes, we've been lucky in how long it's been around. I can't say I've loved it, I resisted coming to it for so long for good reasons, and I've been ready for a new place for years. Yeah, the community itself can be a steaming shit pile, if piles of shit were prone to harassment, but I mean the platform itself is what I want to be rid of. It isn't even years anymore between bullshit 'updates' that are hostile to rpers, as well as any sort of actual writing or blogging beyond one line shit posts. It's now months, if we're lucky anyway and they didn't tack on some idiocy in the works to force onto half the population as well as the shiny new turd of an update in the same week.
So, in addition to rendering the xkit features I used most useless or requiring a workaround to keep using until switching off npe beta is no longer an option, in addition to all the broken shit they openly state isn't a priority to fix, the fiasco yet again with tags, making it where submissions have to be posted then reblogged to add onto and tag, and the other tHInK oF thE CHilDrEn bullshit, now my shit is going to be cut automatically on the dash. Oh, but you can switch it off! No, you can switch off your own view of it that way, not how it affects your posts, original and reblogs, across the site. I'm not cool with that. I'm even less cool with how tumblr has decided on what constitutes a 'long post.' Really? REALLY? An example I've seen is, literally, one small static image with a four word caption, in small font, below it. If that's too lengthy for someone to scroll by on mobile, what the actual fuck are they even doing here, or expecting from being here? We were managing it just fine by tagging for long posts, even if I'd personally not follow people who wanted to slap 'tw' onto it. You need someone to tag for that and they don't? Unfollow! Tumblr users know how to use tumblr, even if some of them won't. It was yet another update we didn't need that impedes what I'm here for.
But, what am I going to do about it? I came here because there wasn't another place without tos that made rping difficult to impossible, character limits that are inapplicable, or that had a setup where replies wouldn't be ruined by being nested. There still isn't another place. I am begging people in the comments not to suggest Discord or tell me about Rolescape. Discord's character limits are a joke, even with Nitro. As for Rolescape, if that thing is functionally active before we all die of old age, I might die of shock instead, and even so, the shitty behavior seen on the tumblr account is the tip of the iceberg and I am not the Titanic.
Really didn't want to have to go back to forums, ever, and I didn't want to have to do all my threads in gdocs either, but I don't know what else to do. Tumblr being a hostile environment for writing isn't going to stop, and I'm tired of it. This is my hobby, I want to be able to enjoy it in a way that isn't despite the bullshit from not only the rpc self appointed content and censorship division but also the site itself. I rp because it's fun and chill, and since I'm not going to ditch my hobby, I guess I have to ditch tumblr. It'd just be nice if this wasn't the first time ever that I didn't already have a place to replace a defunct platform with. I know I can't be the only one feeling that.

I'm happy to hear about your laptop! I didn't think about using characters and other IPs like that, that's a good point. It reminds me of the tumblr fiasco with paid creator content. The bigger the site, the more likely they'll have problems where companies bully and sue them, especially if it's a big one (Disney cough). I like having to manually opt-in too, instead of having it be the default. Having it the default does come with "othering" implications, like I'm being boring by opting out?
Thank you, I'm happy it isn't deceased! It'd be incredibly difficult to answer all of you and write RP on my phone, after all. Would I? Yes. Would my hand fall off? Also, yes. Let us all thank the laptop gods!
Exactly that, yes. It's one thing if I want to make emojis for my Discord server from a Marvel movie or comic, for example, because my tiny server of friends isn't at all comparable to something like tumblr, and hopefully, Rolescape. Disney doesn't care what I'm doing, neither manipulating images they own nor my bitching about them is a microscopic dot on their radar because I am not making anything from this, I do not have a massive following, I don't have a platform their IP is appearing on as a part of the site, etc. We don't matter...unless we try to sell a sticker on Redbubble or use their content on a paid tumblr post.
So, while it might be alright presently, eventually, it won't be if the site flourishes. That's concerning, take down orders are creepy. If you don't have legal experience and/or become easily stressed and shaken, they are even more so. The whole point of involving attorneys the majority of the time is being scary and forceful, they are incredibly good at sounding terrifying and wording things in a way that comes off as having no option but to obey, pay, grovel, and then thank them for the harassment afterward. I don't even mean that offensively toward attorneys, I've worked with a lot of them over the years and my closest friend for years and years was one who specifically worked in this field of law. It's a terrifying talent is all, very effective. And it has been able to shut down sites before purely out of paralyzing fear and disillusionment. Nothing says "you are in over your head" like receiving legal orders.
I would hate to see someone's efforts, no matter when and where I disagree, be destroyed because of that kind of thing.
The definite opt-in/opt-out is great. I so strongly support that! That is absolutely the right direction to be friendly to all points. Again, including neurodiverse ones. I have to say it because I kind of really do not appreciate once again being lumped in this manner as a ND person who would experience the opposite. If you are not the fun sort of ND, you either do not exist or you are a pain in the ass, and I admit, it does make me feel like that when ND users are being mentioned in that way. I'm glad that's other people's thing, but just as they want to be respected for what they enjoy, people like me sometimes would enjoy that as well.
This brings me to the point that I'm already boring. I'm already othered. This whole blog exists because I was tired of the people in the RPC who were also othered being told that they were, additionally, critically wrong for how they enjoy the hobby. I wanted this to be a place where other opinions could be expressed, other types of writing and RP advice could be given, and everyone who wasn't hostile was welcome. So, yes, indeed, it is uncool to feel like I'd be even more boring and othered than I already would be as a dedicated RPer in it for the writing, realism, and long-term engagement. Now I also suck because I don't find the stickers to be my thing lol you know?
Yes, I totally feel you, is what I'm saying!
My hope is that RS will actually have sufficient space for all to not participate as much as it will for those who want to. I mean that in regards to everything, not just the points system. So much of the issues in the RPC return to muns refusing to just stay in their lane, with the things they enjoy and the people they mesh with who enjoy the same things. This attitude that if you don't like the way someone does something, it is infringing upon your right to do your thing your way, somehow. With enough metaphorical space, you might get a better environment where muns will section themselves organically. It's never going to stop, of course, but like with the points thing, people who aren't there for that kind of engagement and who just want to write with their people somewhere other than this nightmare platform we're on can do that in their own, better cultivated space while their opposites enjoy themselves doing otherwise in their cultivated spaces.
That is, ultimately, the only way that RPCs actually work out peacefully. It's how they once worked out, it is how I would love to see them work out again...instead of taking literally everything possible and turning it into harassment bait. Which is, unfortunately, the valid concern about the points. No, it can't be stopped, you cannot control other people's shitty behavioral imperatives. You can only minimize the opportunities, be realistic about it, and try to cultivate spaces in which like-to-like can mesh naturally. That is my best hope for this entire thing, and the legitimate opt-out definitely benefits that.
Well, that hope and the sincere hope that the inevitable IP issue is attended to. I know everyone is proud of their work on that project, I know everyone feels defensive and attacked, but it is an issue. However, it is also an easily resolvable issue by doing the same things that folks selling merch and maintaining platforms have been doing for years. You absolutely can design around these things! Might someone like Disney pop up on you anyway? Definitely, but so long as they don't have a legal leg to stand on, all they can do is huff and puff while you sit in your solid brick house and ask if anyone heard something.
Anyway, I'm sorry this has been stressful and upsetting for everyone. I know most of us were very excited about this whole thing, and that it has turned some people off. I'm not going to tell anyone to try it or not to try it, I believe you all have good enough sense to know what is right for you.

Answering some questions about Rolescape features!
What’s the deal with account types?
Every user who signs up for Rolescape will be asked what kind of account they’d like to create. The reason for this is to keep the experience as streamlined, relevant, and organized as possible for everyone. Because there are so many options implemented to be inclusive of the different types of roleplay styles, everyones Rolescape experience will be a little different.
For example, those of you who only write one character won’t need to worry about seeing multi muse features in their menus, or creator features in their menus if they don’t want to and will only see features relevant to their muse account.
Can I change my account type?
Yes, you can always change the type of account you have from your settings menu.
Will I lose any data if I change my account type?
No. Your personal data is stored on Rolescape servers and is tied to your user account, not your account type. The account type only controls what is visible to you at any given moment, depending on the account type selected.
What if I want features from more than one account type?
If you want access to all features, we have an account type called Rolescaper which opens up all available options to you. In the future, I’ve thought about allowing users to custom tailor their personal experience with a premium account, picking and choosing from different options they’d like to see at all times, for a small fee to keep the Rolescape servers going.
What are the different account types?
Rolescaper (Main account with all add-ons)
Creator (Main Account with tutorials/packs/resources add-on)
Multi-Muse (Main account with muse Manager add-on)
Character (Main account with character add-on)
RPH (Main account with resources and lists add on)
Resource (Main account with resources/boards add-on)

The coolest Rolescape features have been your ideas.
And we love hearing them.
If you have a suggestion on how to make Rolescape the place to be for roleplayers, let us know what kind of features you'd like to see implemented in the future!
Here's a list of planned and developed features that the community has given!
Thread Tracker - Track and manage your threads. Threads posted in the 'open starter' category will receive their own row of the table dedicated to the individual you're currently writing with. If two different partners reply to the same thread, they will be separated for a more organized view. The thread tracker also supports multiple muses. If you intend to write a thread with more than one partner, you can add each name to a dedicated field when you go to create the thread. Then, when making the post, you may select one of your partners from a drop down list to ping, letting them know it is their turn to respond. From there, your partner would respond, select the other partner from a drop down, and then ping them for their response. Then *they* would respond and ping you. This would go on until the thread is dropped/completed.
Match Me - Match Me is an opt-in experience for every Rolescape user, and helps others find you. List your favorite books, movies, music, fandoms, creative skills, tumblr URL if you so wish, guilty pleasures, etc. Ex: Users will be able to search by field in the member directory to find everyone who has "Spiderman" listed as a favorite movie, or "Harry Potter" listed as a fandom. If you don't want to participate in match me, simply don't fill out any of the fields and you won't be listed.
User Notes - Private notes for your friends! Similar to discord notes, you can save information available for your eyes only to help you remember certain things about specific individuals. For example: the users triggers, pronouns, etc.
Circles - A way to tailor your dashboard view to specific people you follow. Multi-muses can separate views by different fandoms if they wish, filtering between the different lists they've made to view the content they're in the mood for at the time. Create a new circle, and then add users to that circle. Circles can also be set to public, so you can display and share your circles with people who have permission to view your profile. This can be useful for RPH blogs or creator blogs who want to affiliate themselves or provide resources from different blogs without having to reblog all of their content constantly.

Might there be a way with Rolescape to only follow/see posts for certain muses if you follow a multi-muse? Sometimes someone might have horror muses or add a muse you don't want to see, and it would be fantastic if we could unfollow a specific muse without unfollowing the multi completely. Thanks for all you're doing!
Yeah! So, when you follow a multi-muse, you won't see posts regarding their muses unless you're following that specific muse as well and are subscribed to that muses posts. You will see anything the multi posts themselves, and you will see when they create new muses, but won't see muse content unless you want to.
So for example, you may see that they have created a horror muse, but you don't necessarily have to view any of that content if you don't go to that specific muse page and subscribe to it, allowing any posts that the multi-muse decides to share to that blog to appear on your feed. Does that make sense? It's kind of hard to explain, but I'm hoping it will make sense when you all use it. All following the multi muse does is *allow* you to view those muses if you want to, and to keep up with that muns posts.
So, if I were a multi muse blog with a bunch of muses, I would use my main profile to reach out to others and be like hey interact with me, these are my muses. And then you'd have the choice to pick from the muses you want to write with.

In terms of premium accounts, I'm interested to hear why so many people are against the idea without having even heard how I'm going to set it up yet.
In no way did I plan on giving functions and ways for users with money to get a leg up on the site. Premium features would be convenience features. For example: more storage space. I don’t think that would give a user any added advantage over another user using google drive to store their muse stuff other than the convenience of not having to go to a different site when they use up all their storage.
Tumblr doesn’t even allow the ability to store media in a library like that. And I give the option for free.
Again, these were just considerations. I just have to consider ways to get money because running the site isn’t cheap.
- Donations are always an option. We will consider this before other things
- I'd also thought of an ads solution that is only on certain pages. So I am working on a built in quiz feature where you guys can create your own things like "What Descendants character are you?" or “What flavor chocolate is your muse?” and things of that nature, and I was thinking like only on THAT page will there be ads. Because 1) the other websites that would be used to create these things would also have ads, and it keeps you on Rolescape and 2) they're still not on every page, but that page would be frequently visited enough for it to make a difference hopefully.

Since you asked! On the RPH end, it would be amazing to have options for asks beyond simply anonymous and not. I get many questions, obviously, and it would nice if RPers could select from a few options regarding the primary topic of their ask, then have the view of the inbox aggregated in this way. Then, I could filter by things like general/multiple question, vent, formatting, writing, interaction, and so on. When answering several questions in a detailed way, it can be much easier to tackle them by doing like questions one after the other. Also, I'm sorry if you've answered this and I just missed it, how would being both a roleplayer and roleplay help mun work on Rolescape? I know there are different account types, but if I have both, would I need to create two separate accounts still, or would I be able to switch between the dedicated RP and RPH spaces? The latter would definitely be so much easier and streamlined!
I hate having to have multiple accounts up, but do not want my RPH blog directly affiliated with my RP blog on tumblr. It can create some anxiety for inexperienced RPers when they see my actual writing, for example. So, as a further question, if it was all contained in one account where I could switch back and forth, would it be apparent to others what RP account was running the RPH account?
Hey there, these are fantastic questions and I'll do my best to answer them.
You've brought up a few features that I'm currently in the middle of working on as part of an overall larger project that will eventually roll out later on down the line after we've been live for a bit. One of those features was regarding the switching back and forth between multiple accounts/everything being on a primary account, and your questions pertaining to whether or not your followers would be able to determine which accounts belong to whom. As it stands currently, if you want to have an RP blog and an RPH blog, then yes, you will have to have separate accounts. HOWEVER, this will not always be the case. Eventually, you will be allowed to create a Parent account/convert one of your accounts into a parent account, which essentially opens up a whole other set of options that gives you access to a setting page titled "User Accounts". On that page, you can add as many separate accounts as you want (all with their own e-mail and password) These accounts can be any member type you want: creator, multi muse, character, rph, etc. When it comes to switching back and forth between them, any account listed as a child on your parent account will have a button that says "Switch" on their profile, as well as in your users page. Clicking "switch" will automatically switch you to that user's account. You can switch back by going to your parent account and clicking the same button. Nobody but you will be able to see which accounts belong to whom.
Now, as for your question regarding messages--what are your thoughts on me just allowing you guys to make your own contact forms with drop downs and such? I could also automate things so that when you create a dropdown subject, it creates a tag for it as well.

@feathersandforests replied: What does "age per account" mean and why would you only be able to change it once? So say you're 25, when you turn 26 you can change your age, but then when you turn 27 an every year after you have to submit a ticket? I was gonna say not to let people discriminate based on age but tbh if someone thinks I'm "too old" to rp I don't want to interact them anyway
Hey there, lead developer here! No worries, we made sure to take into account that people age up each year and are using conditional logic that accounts for this. For example, on signup, when you input your birthday, it will calculate your age. The logic rules that if a user is under the age of 18, they are placed in a group for all other members that are under 18. Users under 18 are blocked off from certain parts of the site that contain graphic nsfw material and pornography. Once the user turns 18, they are then automatically moved to the group of users that are 18 and over on their birthday, and the elements of the site that were once blocked can now be viewed.
The reason for this is to protect underage users and to also allow those underage users various additional elements to protect themselves, as we believe everyone has the right to roleplay regardless of their age. Many Roleplayers have requirements for interaction like being over 18 and we believed this would eliminate issues for Roleplayers interacting with others they don't intend to interact with.
Like you, we hope this doesn't cause any unnecessary discrimination based on age, but as you said, people's preferences will remain regardless of the options Rolescape decides to implement for you all and they are probably not someone you would personally get along with anyway.

What makes you different from other roleplaying sites like RPNation?
We don't want to compare ourselves to other roleplaying sites in that way--we believe a lot of love and dedication goes into keeping them up and active, and we have no idea what kind of community they have and what the experience is like. We will say, however, that what makes Rolescape unique overall is that we really are next generation and aren't compromising on features!
Here are a few examples of what we mean:
We are dedicated to bringing you an experience that is a perfect mix of every roleplaying platform you know and love. No matter where you're coming from: Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, RPNation or other forums, Rolescape will have something you're comfortable with on top of extras that make roleplaying feel brand new!
We listen to you, and talk to you. Ask the members in our discord server, no question goes unanswered. All ideas receive feedback. If we can't implement an idea, we tell you why. We explain. Honestly, so many issues could be fixed with honest communication and that's what we'll always aim to provide.
Rolescape is a universe. The features are literally too long to explain. We have a premium feature to make your own network in the Rolescape universe that acts as a miniature version of Rolescape as a whole. You can kind of compare it to a Discord server in the way that you're able to invite users and moderate over them, except you get an entire dashboard and panel to customize, they're allowed to play as different characters in your network, with different profiles on your network, and more. (These profiles are separate from their profile on Rolescape even though their username is the same. When they join your network, they also will get the option to set an avatar specific to your network.)

Will Rolescape keep the tagging system tumblr has (for organization purposes, blacklisting, etc.) or is there something else in mind for that? I can't wait for this to get released because it's promising!
Rolescape is going to extend the tagging system with categories, tags, content warnings, and post ratings!
Categories are meant for broad grouping of your posts. Think of these as general topics or the table of contents for things. For example: Thread, Promo, Meta, Musing, Headcanon, etc. Categories may be hierarchical (eg: RP Memes > Prompts)
Tags are meant to describe specific details of your posts. Think of these as your blog’s index words. They let you micro-categorize your content.
If you don’t give your post a category, Rolescape will automatically assign it to the default category which is All.

My logic is just rs taking almost the nuclear approach to dark content is like having a book store full of fiction books but instead of having the dark content books mixed in, they are behind a locked door, if someone is 13 and on the internet they should have the responsibility to avoid things they don't like. You're not their parent. Tumblr has no problem with this, it's all user hysteria from rp police. Arguably smut should guaranteed be behind a door, not whatever this dark content is.
Rolescape will be operating worldwide and will have to follow laws. Find detailed information below the cut.
"Dark content" involves a very specific kind of violent, sexual content that is written out in great detail.
In Canada, the Criminal Code forbids to write anything that specifically depicts, for a sexual purpose, a sex act between an adult and a minor that would constitute a criminal offence.
Here is the Criminal Code of Canada definition of “child pornography”, with my emphasis on the relevant subsection:
Definition of child pornography
163.1 (1) In this section, child pornography means(a) a photographic, film, video or other visual representation, whether or not it was made by electronic or mechanical means,(i) that shows a person who is or is depicted as being under the age of eighteen years and is engaged in or is depicted as engaged in explicit sexual activity, or(ii) the dominant characteristic of which is the depiction, for a sexual purpose, of a sexual organ or the anal region of a person under the age of eighteen years;(b) any written material, visual representation or audio recording that advocates or counsels sexual activity with a person under the age of eighteen years that would be an offence under this Act;(c) any written material whose dominant characteristic is the description, for a sexual purpose, of sexual activity with a person under the age of eighteen years that would be an offence under this Act; or(d) any audio recording that has as its dominant characteristic the description, presentation or representation, for a sexual purpose, of sexual activity with a person under the age of eighteen years that would be an offence under this Act. — Criminal Code
, 163.1 (1).
The expression “any written material” is key: the Law also applies to fictional material. Now the element “for a sexual purpose” is heavily linked to context. Thus, if a fic is written about a 15-year-old student who falls in love with a 28-year-old teacher and they end up having sex, I would be extra careful with how I am going to write the more intimate parts. On the other hand, writing about a relationship between two youths is fine, as long as it doesn’t break the law.
The following example makes this very clear:
"My first girlfriend turned 19 one month after I had turned 15. She was 3 years 11 months my senior. We lived in Quebec, Canada, where the law is clear about cases such as ours: A 14–15 year-old teen can legally give consent to an intimate relationship with another person, as long as this person is not 5 years older or more. Thus, in our case, me and my girlfriend were 3 years 11 months apart. My being in a relationship with her was perfectly OK with the law in my country. And I could of course write the story with very detailed accounts of each and every intimate act we did together without any worry, as long as I don’t use her real name without her consent (this is another thing — it’s relevant with privacy law)."
The bottom line is that we don't have lawyers and until we have lawyers that we can consult and ask these things to, and until we know what responsibilities and liabilities we have operating a site that contains material like this when users under the age of 18 are using it, we'd rather underpromise and overdeliver than promise something we can't deliver on.
If you have any constructive feedback regarding this, we'd like to hear it, but please keep in mind we are a free site and we also have hosting regulations to uphold, so simply just doing whatever we want isn't exactly an option given our current resources.

I don't like how Rolescape sides with purity culture and forces rpers to rp certain things Rolescape chose in private. It isn't heavy handed but it has the same message. It feels like purity culture condoned by them.
Hey, Anon!
If you wouldn’t mind responding, I’d love to ask if you feel this way because of server discussions or posts from their blog? I just want to be as clear and fair as possible!
In the event that you’re not comfortable doing that, or don’t get the notification because tumblr, I’ll say that some things do concern me. I’m at the extreme end of content freedom, though, so…most things concern me. Unless I become ludicrously wealthy enough to build and maintain my own platform and pay attorneys, I’m not going to 100% like or agree with anything. Just being honest! I don’t believe that any content should be policed unless there is a valid real-life threat. That’s it. Other than that, tags, your responsibility to filter. Yes, even the most horrific fictional topics written to be pornography. Yes, even offensive real-life takes. I’m awful like that. So, literally, nowhere is going to be fully my thing, I’m always going to take issue with safety bubbles.
As such, there are things I don’t like the current direction on. I have often felt that RS’ features primarily benefit large multimuses (20+ muses), short-length RP, and shorter term, more casual RP. That doesn’t mean its a bad place, I’m just giving an example of why I joined the server to give feedback and watch development. Because right now, it’s one person doing everything, and a lot of the same types of RPers giving feedback. I also know how shit the RPC’s idea of feedback can be - only complimentary, as though being critical has to mean hatefully critical.
What I’ve seen from their blog didn’t have me terribly concerned about being swayed toward policing, but I’ll be honest, conversations in the server have. The developer is trying to walk an already fine line with listening to everyone and testing things out and figuring out how to apply them…add into this the difficulty of adhering to restrictions agreed to in the contract with their server provider, future app releases, and so, and this becomes a bit of a mess. They really do have to stay within some boundaries, like not having the site appear to be predominately explicit material while allowing that material. But what I’m saying is, if you’re concerned like I am, I’ve got to recommend you add your voice on the server to counter the folks who think, for example, that all “dark topics” should just be default private. (Which is not the developer.)
The coolest thing about this development is that it’s given the opportunity for the community to develop. If only one segment of the community is doing so, that’s what’s likely to happen. So, I’m begging all of you who have concerns, of any sort, to join and give constructive feedback from your perspective too.
As it stands now, the developer isn’t implementing any of the ideas that concerned me. He‘s been pretty clear on wanting it to be a space where people can write what they want, with one cohesive set of filtering tags, and the ability to make threads private for topics that might be too…intense. But again, if he’s only hearing from people who want everything that isn’t dribbling rainbows to be private, he really needs more voices.

Hey! I know it still is too early to ask but will the app be available for old versions of Android/ios? I have a problem that the Tumblr app now is only available and supported by Android 6.0, and I have 5.0 and I can't get a new phone or a computer, so at some point I won't be able to rp anymore
When we release the app for ios and Android, we will have to adhere to the security standards set forth by Google and Apple, however, taking into consideration that many people will be using technology that's not up-to-date, Rolescape will always remain available as a PWA (powerful web application) which will offer a native app experience to Android users and is nearly indistinguishable from a native application downloaded via the play store as our website and mobile application will be pretty much the same. Since PWA's have been supported on android since Kit-Kat, that means you're in the clear!
Feel free to message us off anon and the developer can set you up a little example and send you a link for you to test on your phone and give us feedback to how it works. While the site is not yet live, the demo will show you how to add the app to your home screen via your web browser and from there, it can be accessed easily and will open like a native application with a splash screen and everything!
