I know round two of the @zexaloneshotduelist poll isn’t over quite yet, but looking at the results so far, I had to draw this!!

I’m pretty sure my son doesn’t stand a chance next round (hell I’d vote for Lillybot too if she was against anyone else)....

Yu-Gi-Oh Sevens is from another universe?!

Ahh Yu-Gi-Oh. It’s been around since 1998.

But, what If I tell you that Yu-Gi-Oh Sevens isn’t in the same universe as the rest of the Yu-Gi-Oh?

So, according to the previous episodes, we find out that actually Goha created duel disks and cards.

Which... Means where is Pegasus here? They don’t even mention Kaiba corp or  Industrial Illusions. But, instead we got Mutsuba corp or so.

I know, I know. Vrains is another story as well, but one way or another was connected with the rest of Yu-Gi-Oh.

1. Yu-Gi-Oh duel monsters is the original one. Following we have Gx, then 5ds.

So here this era with Neo Domino/Domino city ends.

2. We have Zexal. Heartland. But... Knowing that it’s connected with the previous 3 seasons, we have one interesting character, named Roku. People gave theorized that he is Yugi Muto... But according to jap version his full name is Rokujuro Misawa which means... He is maybe connected with Misawa, not Yugi. He got the legendary monsters.

3. Next is Arc-V which is 100 % connected with the other seasons, but they made them as dimensions... 

4. VRAINS also mentioned connections with the previous series having almost all summon methods (except Pendulum) but since is waaayy long in the future and being rushed, we didn’t find out so much infos that we needed. 

5. Now SEVENS. Goha city is not from the same universe as the previous seasons. No, it’s not the studio changings bla bla. This Yu-Gi-Oh season is actually beginning of new era in Yu-Gi-Oh which are promoted the Rush duels. Old style dueling is replaced with Rush duels. In the previous episodes as I mentioned said that Goha is the creator of duel monsters... Which is... Another universe.  

Maximum summon. Maybe you didn’t noticed, but in the past we got like prequel of Maximum summon. Exodia the forbidden one. Not, like today’s maximum summon, but it counts as one since you need parts of cards to make one monster. Maybe test?

So, conclusion.

Goha corp, Industrial Illusions and Kaiba corp are totally different companies, but with same thing. SOL doesn’t count. They don’t make cards, but they make duel disks with AIs because... IT’S IN THE FUTURE and need upgrades! Yusaku got old style duel disk. XD Yea, they took the concept of duel disks from Kaiba corp to upgrade it. Future and modern technology of course.

Ex. Original Yu-Gi-Oh is around 2000s, VRAINS probably will be around 2150s or so who knows... But not SEVENS. True, SEVENS have robots, but only low ress robots. Simple AIs (except Kaizo who was modified. And Sebastian who is a chair).

So, the old era of Yu-Gi-Oh died, and new started?

I know, you'll say: but SEVENS have old cards. Yes, they have but they're all Rush cards. Different style cards. And for now they use only Tribute summons and of course the newest Maximum summon. Maybe in the future we'll see other summons as well. I hope so.

But don't forget what they said: In the past only Mutsuba and Goha corp existed who created cards and duel disks, not Industrial Illustrations and Kaiba corp.

We’ll see what’ll bring Yu-Gi-Oh 8. If they ever create one.

But, at the end this is just an anime theory xD
