See, this is the kind of thing I expect from a hard chart. It has moments of following the rhythm to a t, yes, but for the most part it’s very steady and ignores any syncopation or quick sections. Good job ROKI for having the normalest feel ever.

I do like these holds, they’re cool and deserve a shoutout. They don’t make the feel any less normal though. 3/5

Feel

It’s pretty consistently good, but not in any outstanding ways.

These holds feel kinda cool and have a very clear motion to them.

I do really like this pattern. The single taps on the outside give it a cool motion that you don’t see frequently. 4/5

Spelling!! Pretty self explanatory.

These holds rock. The pips and spiky outlines work together to reflect the quick uptick in intensity, and the gold flicks release that tension so nicely, it’s a good use of notes. 4/5

Interesting as ever. 2/3

Oobh I had plany off fun with this chart.

This little section was spectacular, hitting those flicks and the short holds, it’s hard not to have fun with it.

Of course this bit gets another mention. The feeling of the song is reflected so nicely in the notes that it becomes infectious and hitting those gold flicks is like taking the first bite of a well made sandwich. It’s satisfying.

And of course hitting the final flick, after that brief pause, ending the song, you’d have to be so tense to not give it some flair. Awesome. +1

This is another consistently nice, but not outstanding, chart.

I really like these triplets from early on. They’ve got a static charm that you wouldn’t expect from just looking at them, and they have some of the cool motion from that alternating pairs/singles pattern from the expert chart.

These flicks deserve a mention. I’ve seen this exact pattern done better, but it’s not bad here either. 4/5

And this moment is done justice once again! It’s a good escalation of the expert chart. Pips are used really well in general in this chart; to continue a rhythm while giving your fingers a little rest, to raise intensity, to match the drums, they really do it all in this chart. 4/5

Flourish

Again! It wasn’t quite so packed with moments like the expert chart, but it still had them! Particularly during the end section. There’s lots of flicks you can hit a little more energetically, and that good consistent feel lets you keep that energy through the whole section.

This moment (of course) introduces the energy.

And this moment finishes it off so cleanly. It feels full circle, in a way. Very nice. +1

Well done ROKI! I really like this chart, it feels performative and I'm sure a really skilled player could do much more with it. I'd really like to see them redo this chart, actually, because there are a good few moments that could really be elevated with the new mechanics. Next is Alive!
